hope i don't come off too intrusively but that all sounds like the qualifications for ocd! or at least anxiety with obsessive compulsive tendencies which would require the same medication, i would go get that checked out!

lovely sentiment but- I'm not going to say for certain I have any kind of Thing going on with my brain without having gotten either a professional (psychiatric) opinion or a professional (peer reviewed by people with that disorder) opinion, and since at the moment I can't go to any doctor about it... it'll stay a mistery + I won't be getting meds any time soon

To any pet owners or really anyone who might be unaware about this thing, I highly recommend watching Charlie's video covering this actual death device sketchy ass ""automatic litter box"", which completely faulty and downright dangerous design has been killing the intended users in horrific ways (aka the cats). His video was made to spread awareness about and boost One Man Five Cats' video on the subject, so go watch that one too. Needless to say but I will say it anyway: if animal death is something that (understandably) triggers you, please watch at your own discretion.

I don't own a pet, let alone a cat, but if this situation has shown me anything it's that you should just stick to the regular litter box. I'm no expert on litter boxes by any means, but risking the life of your cat is not worth making your life more a little automated when it doesn't need to be. While it would be nice to live in a world where these products could be trusted not to kill someone and the companies behind them take regulations and safety as a priority, it is what it is. Culturally, it is what it is.

ok actually due to this book my college cs program was legit for making me do 2 semesters of chemistry. i had to explain to my boss 3 times that vinegar and baking soda react to form water, carbon dioxide (bubbles), and sodium acetate (salt that’s kinda basic) which don’t really do anything to clean your stove/sink/whatever. no, not even if you scrub your stovetop with it every day and it works. you probably have excess reagent so either vinegar or baking soda is accomplishing the job. there is no secret other thing happening here bc that’s not how chemical reactions work!!
