Hello !! (๑>◡<๑) Here is my first blog on where to buy Gyaru clothes ! Even tho its important to repeat that gyaru clothes DON'T exist ! The most important part is to learn how to style basic clothes to make them look gyaru in your outfit ! You never got to take the bar, you got married. Like her. Maybe you should ask about the dust on her English degree. 

"And that lipstick is tacky. It looks awful with your skin tone," she snarls as she rams a manicured nail in your direction, huffing and spin, taking off like a tornado towards the rest of the doll-like HOA clones. 

You look down as you shuffle the papers straight and shrug. You've never quite fit in. This place is like high school 2.0. You never have the right clothes or the right makeup, and no matter how much you primp, your hair just won't behave. You don't know why you bother. 

Well, it's something to do. A hobby in your mostly empty life. Brock promised you it wouldn't be like this. To his defence, you're the idiot who believed him. 

Your husband hasn't exactly kept his promises, has he? You leave through the gate, not bothering with the niceties. You're certain your dismissal was thoroughly witnessed. Besides, the meeting is as good as done. 

You wait by the curb, a text sent to Brock. Your feet kill in these slingbacks. You hate those as much as you hate the mascara that makes your lashes stick. 

The black car comes down the street and you open the door, dropping inside with a puff. You rest the folder in your lap and roll your eyes back against a repressed yawn. You shut the door and buckle your belt. 

"Hey, honey," you greet your husband. "How was your day?" 

"Busy," Brock answers curtly. 

"Oh, did you have dinner? I left it in the oven to reheat--" 

"Your my wife, you're the one who warms my dinner," he insists. 

Your nostrils flare and you look away. This is exactly what you dreaded the day you accepted that ring. All those years of schooling and you threw it away for an empty vow. 

"Alright, I'll turn the stove on when I get in--" 

"How was it? You're early. You didn't stay for drinks?" 

"I'm tired." 

"So? Five years and what do you have to show for it? Like I wanna hear about those dumb bitches at the barbecue? No, I wanna hear about my wife. About everything she's doing for the neighbourhood." 

"Don't talk like that," your murmur. If he thinks they're dumb, what does he think of you? 

"Don't tell me what to do," he snorts, "you know, you might be a little happier if you put in a little effort. Not like I don't bust my ass so you can buy nice dresses and yet you're still wearing this." 

He reaches over and tugs your skirt. It's one of your favourite dresses. You don't see an issue with it, other than it might be a bit past its prime. Besides, he does make a lot of money but you're the one who counts it and makes sure the bills get paid. There isn't room for you to buy Chanel. 

"Sorry," you mutter towards the window. 

"Don't be sorry, do better," he rolls the steering wheel as he rolls around the cul de sac. 

Your chest sinks and your lip twitches. Do better. You're tired of hearing that. You're tired of trying. You're just tired. 

"Stop the car," you demand as you sit up. 

"What?" He scoffs.  

"Stop the car and let me out--" 

"We're almost home." 

"I said let me out of the car," you snarl, "now!" 

He slams on the breaks so hard, you nearly smack into the dashboard. You hit the button on the seat belt and let it rebel. You grab the folder and throw it on the dash so the pages scatter. 

"You can turn a fucking dial," you snip and push the door open. 

He catches your arm, his grip tight and unbending, "where are you going?" 

"I don't know. Anywhere but here." 

"Don't be fucking stupid, get back in the car," he commands. 

"Let go!" 

"You're being stupid--" 

"Like always, right?" You spit at him and wriggle free, his nails scratching you hotly. "I'm done. I can't make you happy and I'm tired of trying." 

You get out and swing the door shut. You grip the strap of your purse, still hooked over your shoulder, and turn on your heel. You click down the sidewalk as he revs and jolts forward, following you. 

"Babe, get back in the car," he calls through the window. 

You ignore him and stomp on, nearly bending your ankle as you do. 

"Stop PMSing and get in the damn car!" He speeds up, almost driving past you, "don't make me tell you again." 

You keep quiet and march on. His brakes scrape to a halt and the car door opens and closes. You hear him behind you. You speed up to evade him. 

"You always gotta make everything a fucking task--" 

He grabs onto your purse and yanks you back, nearly knocking you on your ass. You cry out and face him, tugging on the bag as you play tug-of-war on the sidewalk. The sudden woop startles both of you and the purse drops to the ground.  

You look over as the cruiser pulls up. You know the car number and the face above the wheel. The same on that patrols the suburb. The HOA buys Sheriff Bodecker a special Christmas turkey every year and several other throughout to mark even the most redundant holidays. He's firmly in the pocket of the Stepford robots. 

"Everything okay over here?" Bodecker drawls as he rolls down his window.  

"Yes," Brock answers in tandem with your "no." 

Your husband sighs, "just a marital spat, sir, you know how it is." 

You grimace and shake your head. You pick up the purse as Brock looms close, "nothing to worry about Sheriff," you stand and swoop the bag over your elbow. "Thanks." 

"Babe," Brock says, "let's go home." 

"No," you retort and turn around, continuing on your way. 

You hear a footstep and another wail of the cruiser's siren, "sir, I'm gonna have to ask you not to follow the lady. She said no. She probably just needs to cool off." 

You shake your head and continue on. Brock's voice croaks but he can't summon words. He growls and backs off. 

As you continue down the block, tires slowly turn on the tarmac and you glance over at the sheriff keeps a light foot on the gas, "ma'am, you wanna get in? I'll take ya to the station to settle your mind." 

"It's fine, sheriff," you say, "thank you." 

"Now, miss, I don't mean to frighten you but I gotta," he insists, "I can't just drive off in case your husband decides to follow. I only wanna get you outta the way do he don't do anything dumb." 

"Sheriff, I--" you stop and your soles aches from the high arches of your shoes, "he wouldn't..." 

"Y'all were pretty heated back there," he says, "I'm not saying what would happen, but I'd feel better knowin' you're not wandering the streets alone." 

You chew your tongue and look back and forth. Brock watches from down the street, leaning on his car. You know he's just waiting for Bodecker to take off so he can do exactly what the policeman suggests. 

"Thank you, sir," you step towards the curb, "I appreciate that." 

"Anything for a good lady like yerself," he nods, "'fraid you're gonna have to ride piggy back though." 

He shifts into park and gets out. He opens the back door and you teeter at the edge of the pavement. You never pictured yourself in the back of a police car but it's preferable to the alternative.

Eating and Food

Wolves are practically known for their carnivore based appetite , so well known that some people fear they might attack humans. I dont really recommend eating people since it’s kind of illegal and immoral but here’s some other options!

Eat a lot of meat , obviously balance your diet but go to the market and buy chicken . Chicken is a good choice because it usually has the bones still so you can get lots of gnawing and ripping out from it . Also be sure to wash and clean the bones if you’d like to keep them . No one likes a den that smells like rotting chicken .

Activities and Behavior

Find a pack. There are thousands of online packs or mixed packs out there, but if you’d prefer a in-person pack then go searching for packs in your area. Also GO CAMPING. I recommend this to any canine therian because camping is just so good for canines. You can hear the wolves at night and play in the river , lots of amazing opportunities for quads . You can also howl at night, if you live in an area with lots of coyotes , most people won’t tell the difference and will leave you alone. Going on hikes is a great way to analyze habitats .

Gear and Species Dysphoria

Bite species dysphoria in the tail . We know it sucks. Although you don’t need gear or quads to be a therian it may be helpful to have some form of tail .(please make sure your tail is not from a fur farm , buying fake ones are better than abuse) .If you cannot purchase a tail due to being a minor or other reasons , then you can make some very easily! On my coyote tips post, I linked a video for how to make a yarn tail. Check that out if you’d like . You can also make a tail through blankets and a belt . Simply attach the belt to your waist and feed a blanket through the buckle and knot it, move the tail to your back and enjoy your temporary tail! This is good if you are in a shift and need to aid your phantom limbs.

I got Buggy done yesterday just in time for my local Japanese Festival event today so, here are some highlights:

Starting off small, here's the wig (and scarf, which I didn't make) chilling on my wig head waiting for me to struggle to put it on.

90% of the work I did on this wig is going to be covered the entire time I'm wearing it, but did I let that stop me from hand laying an entire glued hairline? Lmao of course not! That would have been easy, and we don't do easy in this house!

As stated above, I didn't make the cap I just got one online simply because I was having shit luck finding the striped fabrics I would have needed and the idea of having to sew two different stripes together was giving me hives.

Ascot, vest, gloves and glove cuffs~ In other words, 90% of the work of this costume and his accessory friends.

The Ascot was stitched together by my lovely partner via the piss poor instructions I was able to give them on how I wanted it made. Seriously, give them a round of applause for somehow decoding my incoherent babbling. This is beautiful. @kadaverc0splay did a fantastic job.

The gloves are just purchased leather fencing gloves of which I fold under the length and hide it under the cuffs I made, which are simply craft foam, paint, and buckles I had to order online with almost not enough time to get them because, for some reason, craft stores no longer find it necessary to carry and assortment of styles and sizes of buckles. *Internal screaming*

*sharp inhale* Ok. The vest. *Reconsiders every life choice he's ever made* This thing is a BEAST. It was a pain to make, it's a pain to wear, the leather belting that secures the garment closed is held on by glue, prayers, and human sacrifice via my own blood, sweat, and tears. It took me more hours than I care to even think about, let alone admit, to do all the top stitching on this godforsaken goblin of a clown man and that's not even half of the ironic tragedy that gathering the supplies for this disaster was.

Not only did I have to replace more than one of the FIVE DIFFERENT TYPES OF RIBBON AND TRIM THIS BASTARD HAS ON HIS VEST but nowhere had everything I needed in enough yards to complete anything I needed done, so I had to make several trips and buy several different things to finish any part of it. INCLUDING THE BUCKLES, which arrived here Thursday...for an event today. So, that was fun.

Oh, and also, the white ribbon is wired, but the wire refused to be pulled out, so it's just in there now I guess. Lucky me!

(the belts aren't entirely accurate, but I'll save adding the additional headache that will cause for the con I'll be wearing this to next spring. I'm tired.)

Buggy's many belts of despair and loathing...

I swear the cosplay gods are never kind to me, but tricking me into thinking this was going to go well because I was able to get some good sized chunks of real, genuine leather for dirt cheap? Not cool, guys!

The leather was chocolate brown and not black, as I had previously believed it to be upon purchase. So, it had to be painted with latex paint. (Thank you again, pretty boy, I seriously couldn't have done it without you. Seriously.) Actually , another round of applause for all the belts being painted by my partner, because they also painted the foam under belt for me. Because he was smart and got his costume done several days ago.

Not me. I'm not that bright. No. But alas, we trudge forward.

And by trudge...

These boots weren't made for walking, these boots were made for traversing through the dusty floor of the fun house you've built around yourself to forget how salty your rat ex has left you - AND IT SHOWS!

Ignore my poorly made foam buckles. I'm not going to repeat myself about that bs, lest I may sink back into a depressive state equaled only by my ability to pass it off as a joke. These crumpled, sad black asskickers were originally brown! And suede. Don't ask me how I got them to look like old, worn leather. I simply fell into a dissociative state and awoke with black boots and no memory of where I'd been. The belts are foam, and the weird pattern on his tongue is simply a quilting square from Joanne fabrics that I glued on and then mod podged over.

As stated above, the buckles are foam and painted. They look awful, but if anyone is close enough to my feet to say something about it, my foot is going to need to detach to be removed from betwixt their teeth.

The entire costume was also weathered by @kadaverc0splay (including the pants, which are not pictured here because I didn't really do anything to them) while I cried over the wig that you won't see most of so you know what, just send all your praise to them I'm not even here all I did was top stitch and cry.

All in all, and in true Buggy fashion, the build of this costume was entirely, and regrettably, failing upward. Because, hot damn, did it come together. 🔥

Oh!! I totally forgot I promised to post pictures of the coat that was a part of my cosplay for NostalgiaCon

I’m shy about showing my face, and I may change my mind on it later (and heck, you’ll probably see me in photos somewhere), but I did promise to show the coat in question.

So this was what I had to get to:

Do they have this coat online for cosplay purposes? Actually, yes! There’s two different versions, and one even comes with the clothes! But both cost nearly 300 dollars, before shipping.

My wallet and I agreed we can’t spend that much on a coat that may not even fit me when it gets there, so we decided to try and make it.

After much searching and anguish trying to find a coat that’s the color and length needed, I give up and decide “let’s try dyeing a coat and modifying it”. Once that decision was made, this is what we started with!

30 dollars off Amazon, bright white, needs some TLC. Has a zipper panel that I’m not a fan of, but we’ll figure out something!

It took a bit to research what to do for dyeing (I hadn’t ever before, so I had to buy the pot I needed and determine the dye needed for the material), but I got the materials for dyeing, and after several prayers to the cosplay crafting gods I went to work.

First dye bath, using Rit Dye for polyester fabrics (I had to use a formula and followed the one online—pink, purple, and charcoal gray). This is how she looked:

Not bad! She was darker when she was wet, but as she dried she came out to this pinky-purple. Not what I needed, though still a gorgeous color. So I put her back in a dye bath, but the only color I used this time was the remaining bottle of charcoal gray. Stirring a coat with tongs in a dye bath continuously for an hour is quite the workout, by the way 😂

She turned out like this afterwards:

Gorgeous color, and the closest I can get to her being “canon”! But she’s wrinkled from air drying and from being in the wash. That’s a problem for later, and it’s a solvable one.

From there, I took her to Mama’s and we got to work, and we ended up with this:

One pillowcase, an iron, three belts, and lots of sewing later, we have the coat! Mama and I used an old pillowcase for the hem and shoulders; we turned the case into ribbons and sewed it onto the coat with transparent thread. The material of the pillowcase actually weighed the edges down, so that the coat billowed outward when walking—a very cool effect!

We also cut out and sewed what used to be the zipper portion to create a “roll” to keep the coat from falling in, allowing for the collar to pop! Not pictured are the two arm belts for the upper arms, which match the one at the waist; we cut that belt in half and added buckles to it, and to hold the arm belt’s shape and size we used twist ties!

Add in some shoulder pads, and some final belt ends being sewn on the arm straps (fun fact, canonically Raphael’s arm belts/straps don’t circle his wrist all the way), and a few studs sewn into the arm straps, and BAM! We have a coat!

look ive been making and sewing cosplays since 2008 and ive been studying and analyzing character designs to make them irl since then.

and im glad someone brought the topic of this kind of designs because there was something that icks me everytime i see one of this design

because ive tried to cosplay some of this characters on the past and yes, you see there's a lot of details and complex design. but, even if it doesnt tell too much about the character (im agree with this), what surprises me is: they look like someone made them to be bought as a cosplay, not handcrafted

like i know cosplayers arent something that a company or a character design team would take in mind when they make a character. but specially on genshin impact they looked like suspiciously hard to make in cosplay. wigs? no one has a normal hair style, all of them need at least a hair do, a ponytail, or a dye in another shade. contact lenses? ive seen some characters with crazy eye design that needed a special design of contacts. the clothing? appliques, golden cut out or embroidery, long hair fur sections, ombre, elastic fabric (like tights or leggins), windows with strange shapes, asymmetric patterns and shapes. not even the boots are normal OR THE BUCKLES! one friend of mine had to handcraft 50 buckles and clasps with foam clay to be accurate to the design. i didnt see any of that not even on final fantasy or kingdom hearts, the kings of belts on designs!

people said "its not worth to handcraft a cosplay of this videogame, its better to just buy it". and honestly, never seen that online shops that sells cosplays could get a design so fast like mihoyo's designs everytime a new character is out.

with this and how they know cosplayers on social media could influence into people to play the game, buy cosplays or buy things inside of the game, i dont think its too farfetched that some companies are prioritizing this cycle of consume when they design the characters

dont get me wrong, you could like mihoyo videogames, but i needed to share this, now ive seen we're talking about this designs

I sincerely hope to see the downfall of this artstyle and character design style in my lifetime. This cannot continue
