Thoughts on the Arcadia Gays' Stardew Valley playstyle and who would be Best Girl for each of them?

Allllllright LiS plays Stardew Valley let’s go!

You said Arcadia Gays but I plan to do more as well so let’s get into it!

Chloe: primarily focuses on combat and mining and only really grows enough to cover favors/gifts at first but then gets really into cooking and expands the farming a bit more for ingredience. Favored relationships: Maru because fellow science nerd, Abigail because fellow adventure enthusiast, Penny because she reminds Chloe of Max. Platonic besties with Sam.

Max: terrible at keeping any crops alive so she mostly focuses on exploring, foraging, and some fishing when she gets the hang of it. Favored relationships: Abigail because she reminds Max of Chloe, Penny because she reminds Max of Kate, Sam because skater boys are cute, Leah because aloof artist girl she keeps bumping into in the woods while foraging.

Kate: Animal husbandry out the wazoo. Especially coop animals, especially rabbits. But she adores her chickens, dogs, and cats. Not super good at fishing and a bit too nervous to delve too deep in the mines. Favored relationships: Haley! Because she’s the exact same brand of “I can fix her” pretty artistic meangirl that Kate falls for every time. Penny because she can relate too much to her.

Rachel: Miss “stop at nothing” perfectionist won’t settle for anything less than hundred percenting this game. She does it all and just for the sake of getting everything she romances everyone to be a shit disturber and to get the group events. After unlocking and completing the island she will literally just log into the game and stand on the beach for whole days. Favored Relationships: Abigail because she can really relate to the feelings of being stuck in the mold that your parents want for you. Emily because she’s fun. Leah because she’s hot. Alex because a big dumb cute footballer is fun. Sam because skater boys are cute.

Victoria: playing not just the vanilla game but stardew valley expanded as well. She tries to max out all the questlines and do good at the festivals. Favored romances: Sophia because she can’t not date the cute anime nerd. Olivia because hot MILF. Leah because who wouldn’t? And very specifically NOT Haley because “god who would ever deal with all that negging elitist bs??”

Bonus rounds!!

Courtney: terrifyingly invested in this game. Has more money than you thought the UI would actually show. Beat the whole game and is now in it entirely for the aesthetic builds and collecting every clothing item. Wears a different outfit every day. Favored relationships: none by design but has romanced every romanceable character just to have done it. Gets along best with Emily though.

Taylor: Bought the game because she saw Victoria playing it. Romanced Haley and did nothing else.

Steph: All around consistent player. Likes adventuring the most. Also playing a modded version. Favored relationships: Abigail because she likes the ttrpg and adventuring parts of her character. Leah because she ticks a lot of Steph’s boxes. Emily because she’s fun. She tried to romance Haley but got tired of the negging. Sophia because of course. She also installed a mod that made Sebastian transfemme to romance.

Warren/Lauren: Made a girl character, loves the game but plays in secret. Has romanced 11 out of the 12 dateable characters.

Alex: likes the fishing and adventuring. Has a few animals. Favored relationships: Abigail, Sam, and Seb because fellow musicians/nerds. Penny because she’s just so sweet! Harvey because he’s a nice guy. Emily because she’s so much fun and so positive. She also romanced Leah and it gave her gay feelings about Char so she avoids that romance now.

Riley: one part mining nerd, one part beekeeper. Has grown all the flowers and has a textbook perfect garden/apiary arrangement. Favored relationships: Maru because fellow science and robotics nerd! Abigail and Leah because she thinks they’re both cute.

so the first play, i'd put The Merchant of Venice. antonio and bassanio, regular bffs, nothing romantic (EVERYTHING ROMANTIC) i guess after bassanio and portia's wedding, he's sad so he gets a ship w/ all the money he made and sails around the world because his crush just got married.

cut to Twelfth Night, you know, sebastian is saved by antonio, etc etc you know how it goes. but THEN sebastian marries olivia so that happens. antonio is sad AGAIN but sebastian loves antonio more so they agree to run away together on the same ship. (i'm saying sebastian won the duel on ACCIDENT)

timeskip! pre-The Tempest. antonio decides to visit milan and then finds out he has a family???????? and his brother (prospero) is a duke so because antonio is shit poor and needs money he's like hmmmmmm i'll take away his position!!!!!! and he does. and he puts prospero and miranda on a boat (his old boat) like in the play. sebastian also finds out his brother is a king.

and timeskip again, The Two Gentlemen of Verona. prospero takes back his position but is kind enough to give antonio a nice house. since antonio met his long lost family they're very disappointed that he hasn't married yet. so he marries ursula from Much Ado About Nothing, and has beatrice and proteus.

(ofc he's still a gay ass ursula doesn't really care about him either so)

Before she released devil in disguise, I had a theory that Kleypas would write a book for seraphina (evie and sebastian's younger daughter) and foxhall (lillian and marcus' oldest son) with the she's all grown up trope. After devil in disguise was announced I scrapped that lol. I wonder if she plans on writing more for the other children tho, raphael would be interesting since he was out of the country during devil in spring, devil's daughter and devil in disguise, so we know almost nothing about him.

I also thought Raphael was getting set up for a book because of his absence and also his name? It's a very classic romance hero name.

Tbh, in order to pull it off, I think it would be best for her to keep him wherever he is. First off, I think Lisa could use something new and fresh if she goes back to historicals. (I would not be surprised if she took another contemporary break.) Like, put that shit in France or Italy or something.

And then... I honestly don't want another St. Vincent cameofest. I'm kind of over it. I liked Devil in Disguise, but that wasn't St. Vincent to me, and I'm kind of over him being brought in to prop up inferior narratives.

So like. He and Evie can send Raphael letters.

But yeah otherwise I think she kinda needs to refresh and look into other people. I think Lorraine Heath does a really good job of keeping her universe interlocked without like... overconnecting.

Like, The Scoundrels of St. James was probably her most successful series, and she did a spinoff series about the kids, yes. But first off--I think it being just baldly a spinoff series was way smarter than it being spun as something else, then shoving the Scoundrels in heavy. Yes, Hellions of Havisham kicks off with the hero falling for Jack and Olivia Dodger's daughter, but it's still allowed to breathe. I don't think the other two books really connect to them at all.

Second, she's let them trickle off. She had her shorter series, she introduced Mick Trewlove in her Lost Lords of Pembrook trilogy but didn't then keep shoving them in... She established the Trewloves as a new anchoring piece for her now that the Scoundrels are kinda retired except for cameos. The Stanwicks connect but don't rely. Her next book is going to be about Aiden and Finn Trewlove's half brother, but it doesn't rely. The Chessmen don't rely King.

To me, it's this really intense "here's this major favorite coming in to be overly involved in his kids' love lives thing that really bugged me with the Challon cameos. Because it was more than a cameo, lol. If you read the Scandalous Gentlemen of St. James books, like... the parents are there. But they act like parents. Even when Lovingdon literally fucks the daughter of a former hero and is like "UMMMM she won't marry me???? Make her please??????" the dad is like "that is a you problem" lol. If that was a Ravenels book and St. Vincent was the dad it would have been like, 15% of the novel devoted to his reactions and his dealing with it.

Elizabeth Hoyt did it really well with Maiden Lane, too. ML always set up the next love story with small scenes from the next hero or heroine. But it never felt like they existed there to move the current love story along or insert themselves into it??? That's what really bugs about the Sebastian stuff. I love him, but she over-relied HARD. I mean, in Devil in Winter, she EASILY could've had an older Derek Craven cameo to be like, Sebastian's gambling hell mentor, but she didn't. And that was GOOD.

The fact that every single trans Shakespeare fan I’ve met wants to play Viola-Cesario-Visario is evidence enough for me to declare that they are 110% trans. What kind of cis person survives a shipwreck and immediately goes “I should mess with my gender for a disguise”? Trans swag right there.

Now the question of which direction? ftm Cesario makes sense because their first thought upon arriving in a country where no one knows them is to make everyone think they’re a man and if that isn’t some transmasc shit right there, I dunno what is. BUT mtf Viola also makes sense! Their default survival tactic is boymoding but they eventually realize that they can’t hide who they are in their heart and the end of the play serves as a coming out scene? Adorable and perfect! My personal favorite theory is afab non-binary Visario. They use their disguise as a way to experiment with their gender, coming to realize by the end of the play that they don’t identify exclusively with masculinity nor femininity but some combination of both and neither. I fully believe that post-play Visario figures their shit out and marries Orsino AND Olivia like the polyamorous bisexual they were always meant to be.

I am also a transmasc Sebastian theorist. It makes his relationships with Antonio and Olivia a little more complex if he is a trans man in a heteronormative society. I think he does genuinely love Antonio but sees a relationship with Olivia as more masculine, since he fears he’d feel like “the woman” in a relationship with Antonio. Also, I think that Antonio knows he’s trans, since he finds Sebastian half-drowned after the shipwreck, probably binding with now-wet material that he’d have to remove for Seb’s safety. Antonio doesn’t see him as any less of a man for it, but it does complicate Seb’s feelings. Post-play, I think he figures this out and let’s Olivia marry her true love (his sibling) and tries to fix things with Antonio (which probably isn’t very hard given the man is clearly head-over-heels for him.)

Also, afab Visario and Sebastian does explain why these identical twins have different genders.

I am curious I was just having this argument with a bts fan and how she was crying because someone from bts got flirty with Olivia Rodrigo idk and she said She had a mental breakdown and this is the same psychotic shit that happens with Sebastian stan and Chris evans and any famous celebrity that’s hot, the “fans” somehow think that they have a chance with them or some delusion they have fed themselves, this is actually a mental illness it’s a way of coping with trauma by obsessively obsessing over a stranger that does not have any slightest clue that they exist and they likely will never even be in the same room as them, I think they need psychological help.

possibly bc the scenes of extended wooing are between olivia and cesario/viola whereas in ayli they're between rosalind/ganymede and orlando

orsino is just so hard not to make a dick the orsino here is trying so hard but it's such an uphill battle against that text

greig has no right to get away with half the choices she makes but somehow she just does

also here for feste as i remember them, which is goofy and witty yet but also mean

sebastian and feste blindly wandering into a gay bar where drag queen is singing "to be or not to be" feels 100% in character for this production

there's just like a lot to unpack with the malvolio gender bending here

i forgot the sudden nose dive this play does into making all its characters question their sanity

they are very much playing this as sebastian is gay but nothing makes sense and olivia is kind and safe after everything he's been through that he's like why not i'll marry you

which already breaks my heart for antonio

(i am been savoring and slowly working my way through emma smith's lectures on shx's plays and the question she tackles for 12th night is why does antonio exist and functionally makes the argument that he has no structural purpose in the plot and therefore his existence is to make gender and sexuality issues more ambiguous...she also brings up some really interesting lenses to think about the text re: how gender and sexuality would have been thought of and perceived differently by an elizabethan audience)

12th night also reads as gayer i think because no one retains control over the reality confusion and gender chaos at the end

in ayli rosalind is the ring leader and orchestrates everyone into their happy endings and maintains control over the narrative even down to the epilogue with the audience

in 12th night literally no one has any clue what's going least of all sebastian and viola/cesario

and the meeting of the twins grounds it all with its heart wrenching -ness

and then they really went for the pathos with malvolia

which honestly feels like the right choice here

okay the twins swapping at then end was also inspired

i had to look it up bc it did not occur to me until the "to be or not to be" song that not all the songs were from the text

which makes me wonder where the text malvolia sings in the garters comes from?

but that ending song is the original one and it is quite melancholy

OH GOD I don’t know if I have just one?? It tends to fluctuate depending on what I’m into currently. Cherik (X-Men) is one I come back to a lot, and Hector/Andromache (from the Iliad) I adore because they’re just. Such a good couple. But at the moment (and on and off over the years) I think it would be either Aragorn/Boromir (Lord of the Rings), or Feste/Viola (Twelfth Night) for the gender fuckery and vibes.

Olivia/Sebastian from Twelfth Night. Granted most fans don’t ship it despite it being canon, but there’s a reason. It’s a relationship built on an eminently false foundation, and they barely know each other. Olivia thinks she does, but Sebastian fully agrees to marry her after less than 24 hours, having spoken to her maybe once. They have no chemistry on their own. I’m like what were y'all doing.

Again AHHHH decisions?? Imma do top three no particular order, which is aroace Boromir (man after the sort of King Eärnur of old, taking no wife and delighting chiefly in arms), Feste having deduced Viola and Sebastian’s true identities and keeping that secret the entire time frame of the play (3 months minimum), and Albany and Goneril (King Lear) having an abusive relationship.

Summary: Just when things seem to be going right, they all go horribly wrong.

"I've never heard of a demon named Shaw." Alyssa muttered irritably as she paced the motel room, her arms crossed as she, Olivia, Peter, and Sarah met with Sam and Dean.

"Shaw sounds like a familiar name." Sam commented as Olivia nodded.

"Sebastian Shaw." she said as he looked over at her. "Sebastian Shaw was... a terrorist I helped the X-Men fight when they were first formed." she explained as Dean looked over at her and raised an eyebrow.

"You mean back in the sixties?" he asked while Liv nodded.

"I'm a lot older than I look," she admitted while he nodded and looked over at Sam. "I highly doubt it's really Shaw though... he never cared about me. I wasn't the one he was after."

"That's not entirely true." Sam commented as she looked over at him. "Didn't he come to you before the professor?" he asked as she raised an eyebrow at him, making him laugh a little awkwardly. "Sorry... I used to love the Uncanny X-Men..."

"It's okay." Liv shook her head and offered a small smile. "Most people do..." she trailed off as she tried to remember, her eyebrows furrowing. "And... he did... Sebastian Shaw came to me first... but then Charles and Erik came to me and..."

"You fell in love with the good professor." Dean commented, making her frown a little as she looked up at him. "But you assumed he only loved the other lady, so you ran away."

"Dean." Lyss warned as Liv looked away from him.

"I couldn't take Charles down with me... I was lost and... I still am... I thought he'd be better off with Moira..." she murmured before Peter wrapped his arm around her and gave her a reassuring squeeze as Sarah placed a gentle hand on her arm.

"Well, if it is somehow Sebastian Shaw. Then someone brought him back from the dead. Or he's really a demon now."

"An evil piece of shit like him? Sounds about fucking right." Lyss growled, shaking her head. "Well, if he's a demon, we'll hunt him down and kill him."

"Not so fast, shortstack." Dean said firmly, standing up when she looked up at him. "This may not be your run-of-the-mill demon. If he is a demon, he has something to finish...that could be a problem between Olivia and him."

"What if he wants Xavier?" Sarah commented worriedly, her eyebrows furrowed. "If he's using Olivia... he probably thought she'd run to him."

"That could be it." Sam confirmed, picking up old newspapers he'd collected before they'd arrived. "If Shaw is back from the dead... either as a human or as a demon, he could be going after Xavier... or Magneto." he said as Liv's expression softened and she looked at the tall hunter.

"Erik..." she whispered before standing up. "If someone is after Erik... someone should tell him."

"He's a terrorist." Dean spat bitterly before Liv looked at him.

"He's traumatized and afraid of humanity!" she defended, worry taking over her form as she brought her hands to her chest. "We all are... he just chose to go about it all wrong..."

"You let me handle Magneto." Alyssa said firmly as Sarah joined her, holding her arm gently. "You go inform Charles. He needs to know too." she said as Liv looked down, too scared to face Charles after all this time.

"Hey... it'll be okay." Peter reassured her, putting a hand on her back as she looked over to him.

"We'll come with you." Sam added, giving the mutant a comforting smile as she smiled back a little and nodded.

"But Olivia's worried about him." she said as he grimaced and looked to Ethan for help, but the Seer just shrugged, seemingly giving up on trying to reason with Alyssa. Sarah followed close behind Alyssa, nervously holding her hand as the girls walked together.

"It's getting late." Ethan commented, hoping to convince Lyss to turn back, but she was determined.

"If you want to go back to the motel, be my gues.," she said as the boys looked at each other and thought about it before they realized how deep they were in the woods. They approached her and walked beside her when they came to some kind of camp. Lyss made the others stop as she cautiously approached, stepping into the camp as the mutants all turned to look at her in disbelief, as if they could tell she wasn't one of them.

"Who are you?" a blonde man asked as Liv stared at him for a moment before crossing her arms.

"Alyssa Redgrave. I was sent by Olivia Howlett," she said bluntly as he scowled at her. "I need to speak to Magneto... it's important." she said more seriously before the guards forced the trio into the camp, Sarah glaring at one of the guards as he accidentally poked her in the side with his gun.

"Watch it!" she hissed as Benny and Ethan hid behind her.

"We're not a threat...we're just high school students." Alyssa added as he scowled at her.

"Oh yeah?" he asked before he raised his hand and flames came out of the device on his hand while Lyss raised her brow at him.

"Do it, flame boy." she taunted as he gritted his teeth.

"Pyro, stand down." Magneto said, approaching them as the blonde reluctantly did so and stepped away. Magneto looked down at the teenager and smiled softly, admiring her appearance in an almost fatherly way as Lyss stared up at him. "You look so much like your father, Alyssa."

"You know me...?" Lyss asked quietly and he nodded.

"Of course. It's hard not to hear about a Nephilim running around New York killing whatever lurks in the dark." he commented with a playful grin as she nodded slightly.

"Well... I would never hurt a mutant that wasn't a threat..." she admitted as he nodded.

"That's what I've always admired about you." he admitted before he looked at the guards and motioned for them to stand back. They did so, walking away as Sarah and the boys calmed down. "What brings you here?"

"We're concerned that Sebastian Shaw has somehow been brought back to life," she said as his eyebrows furrowed. "He wants to hurt Olivia..." she added as his expression softened as soon as he heard the name.

"So the little badger is still out there..." he said quietly, looking over at Pyro and motioning for him to leave before placing a hand on Alyssa's back and walking with her. "And how can you be so sure?"

"It's just a hunch...but when a demon is pushed to the limit, they squeal." Lyss explained, looking up at him. "And if it's true and Shaw is back... then not only is Olivia in danger, but Charles as well."

"Charles being in danger is not uncommon." Erik commented while Lyss looked up at him and frowned a little.

"You should never turn your back on someone you love." she commented as he looked down at her and smiled softly.

"You sound just like Olivia..." he commented before he sighed.

"I know you two have a troubled history, but if this is Shaw... we may need both of you." she said as he nodded and looked down at her.

"Olivia's worried about me, isn't she?"

"She still cares about you." Lyss assured him with a small smile. "You're very important to her."

"And she's very important to me too..." he trailed off and looked back at Alyssa's friends, watching them for a moment before looking at her. "And you have people that are important to you."

"I do." she nodded, looking at them with a smile before looking back at the mutant. "Olivia was willing to vouch for you, so I'm willing to trust that you won't turn on us... I'd hate to have to hurt you." she admitted as he chuckled and smiled at her.

"You're just like your father." he teased before motioning for Pyro to follow him as Lyss watched them leave. "We'll see you." he said as she walked back to the group and looked at them.

"He was much scarier in the comics..." Ethan whispered as Benny nodded.

"He's just an old guy." Benny added as Sarah rolled her eyes and groaned before walking out of the camp as Lyss giggled and forced the boys to follow her.

Alyssa watched as the Impala pulled into the parking lot, releasing smoke from her lungs as it parked and Olivia got out of the car with Peter following close behind. Sam and Dean left as well before another woman got out of the car and looked toward the motel before her eyes fell on Alyssa.

"You must be Alyssa Redgrave," the woman said as she approached her and Lyss nodded, offering her hand as the older woman shook it with a small smile. "I'm Ororo Munroe." she said as Liv joined them.

"Storm wanted to meet you herself... to discuss what was going on." Liv explained as the hunter looked up at the woman before dropping her cigarette and stubbing it out with her boot.

"Why not the professor?"

"Well, he wanted to meet you. But I'm afraid he's too busy at the moment." Storm admitted before Benny stumbled out of his and Alyssa's room and stared at Storm with wide eyes.

"You... you're... you're Storm...!" he exclaimed as the woman smiled a little and nodded. "Holy shit, it's Storm!" he said in a higher voice as he looked at Alyssa and Olivia with a big smile.

"This is doofus number one. My boyfriend, Benny." Lyss said with a smile and a giggle. "Ignore him... he's a doofus." she joked as Storm chuckled softly.

"You're one of my favorite X-Men!" Benny said before Alyssa pushed herself off the beam she was leaning against and turned him around, leading him back into the room.

"How about you go to sleep, dummy?" she teased as he looked back and waved at Storm as she smiled and shook her head. Lyss closed the door and looked at Sam as he nodded and walked to his and Dean's room, unlocking the door as they all went inside.

"He seems sweet." Storm commented as Lyss laughed.

"Well, when he's not being a brainless jerk, he is." she admitted before leaning against the table, making sure not to disturb anything on it, knowing how Sam worked. Peter walked over to the chair and sat down while Liv sat on one of the arms, looking over at the group as the brothers sat at the table.

"How sure are you that this is Sebastian Shaw, Alyssa?" Storm asked softly as Lyss sighed.

"I've interrogated enough demons to know what really makes them tick," she admitted, looking at the mutant in front of her. "If you push them far enough, they'll tell you anything you want to know. And it's usually the truth," she added with a shrug. "If this is Sebastian Shaw, then someone or something brought him back... and he's clearly after something."

"He knew how important Arthur's hat was to Olivia." Sam added as Storm nodded and sighed, rubbing her hands together with furrowed brows.

"Whatever comes, we're here to help." Lyss assured her, looking up at her and smiling a little.

"Thank you, Alyssa," she said quietly as Lyss nodded. "The Professor can't fight back like he used to... but if we can work together... it should be easier."

"We can." Olivia assured her, getting up from the chair. "I..." she trailed off, furrowing her brow. "I ran away once... I won't run again," she said as Storm looked back at her. "I helped Charles beat Shaw once, and I know we can beat him again."

"Exactly." Lyss smiled as the mutant looked over at her and smiled back.

"We can help too." Dean added as the group looked at him. "If he's a demon, that's Sammy and I's specialty."

"See, we are a twisted little team." Lyss joked, smiling at Storm and Olivia as Peter stood and walked over to Liv, putting a hand on her back. "But I want to be sure we know what we're getting into...and I think I know he can help." she said before quickly leaving the room as Storm followed her, heading for another room as Lyss knocked on the door. The door opened as Ethan looked out before his eyes widened as he saw Storm with Alyssa, quickly slamming the door as Lyss scowled and knocked more irritably before Sarah opened the door.

"You're overreacting," she claimed before looking out at Lyss and smiling before looking up at Storm. "I love your hair." she said as the woman smiled.

"Thank you. Yours is beautiful too." she commented as the vampire smiled and offered to let them in. Ethan watched from a corner as he stared at Storm with wide eyes and Lyss sighed.

"That's doofus number two," she muttered as Storm chuckled. "Approach, doofus." Lyss said as he nervously walked over to them. "Let's skip the whole 'omg it's Storm' BS. I need your help."

"Wi-with what...?" he asked nervously, looking at Lyss as she sighed and rubbed her forehead.

"You know how we used our abilities together once...? Your whole mind thing and my spirit connection?" she asked as he raised an eyebrow.

"That's not what they're called... but yeah..." he said as she nodded.

"We have to do that shit again." she said as he laughed nervously.

"The last time we did it was... kind of an accident..." he mumbled and she rolled her eyes.

"Accident or not. We need to make sure we know what we're dealing with!" she complained. "Now let's just do it!" she hissed while Ethan looked between the two women before looking back at Lyss.

"Can we do this without an audience?" he asked as Lyss sighed. Sarah nodded and headed for the door before Storm followed and they stepped outside as Ethan sighed and climbed onto the bed. Lyss joined him and lay down, resting her head in his lap as he placed his hands on either side of her head. "Are you sure?" he asked as she nodded and looked up at him.

"I wouldn't ask if I didn't trust you." she assured him before he nodded and pressed his fingers lightly against her temples as she closed her eyes and relaxed as much as she could. She began to fall asleep as he connected with her and helped her find what she needed.

Alyssa opened her eyes and gasped as she looked towards Ethan, seeing him standing next to her as they stood together in a warehouse. Lyss looked towards where the hat was and her eyebrows furrowed before she heard footsteps behind them and she turned to face the man as he approached her and she shot awake with a gasp, forcing Ethan to come to as well as he looked down at her.

"Are you okay?!" he asked as she sat up and nodded, breathing heavily.

"Yeah... yeah... just..." she trailed off, looking over at him. "Did you feel that? When we were there?"

"Yeah... he was really strong..." he murmured as she nodded and sighed. "Are you sure we can handle him...?"

"We have no choice, Ethan." Lyss muttered before she stood up and went to the door, opening it before finding herself back in the warehouse, her eyes widening as she looked around frantically, looking behind her to see the motel room was gone. "E?!" she screamed as she put her hands out to feel for anything behind her, hoping it was just an illusion.

"You made a mistake getting involved in this." a man said as Lyss turned quickly to face him, seeing the same man from the dream as she backed away in fear.

"Shaw..." she whispered as he stared at her sternly. "We just want the hat back..."

"And you will die trying to get it back." he taunted as he approached her and she felt as if she was frozen in place.

"Alyssa!" Sarah screamed, forcing Lyss out of her dream state as she looked around, breathing heavily and looking at Sarah before hugging her tightly. Sarah returned the hug, holding her as Lyss grounded herself and took deep breaths to calm herself. "What was that?"

"Shaw used my abilities against me..." Lyss murmured as Storm placed a gentle hand on her back. "If he's this powerful as a demon..."

"Maybe we should let Sam and Dean handle this." Sarah suggested, pulling back to gently hold Alyssa's arms.

"No. I can do this... he's just messing with me." she assured her, shaking her head. "I've fought worse than him and won..." she admitted before walking back to her room, unlocking the door and heading inside as Sarah sighed.

"You okay?" Benny asked as Lyss nodded, taking off the coat and placing it on the table, taking off her tank top as well as the brunette looked over her. "Lyss," he said gently as he stood up and walked over to her, placing his hands on her waist as she looked up at him and placed her hands gently on his chest. "What happened?”

"Nothing... just typical demon shit..." she murmured before he leaned down to kiss her gently. She placed a hand on his cheek as she returned the kiss, leaning into him a little as the kiss lingered. Slowly pulling away, she smiled a little, looking up at him as she tangled her fingers behind his neck, admiring the spell master before her. "You're awfully affectionate..." she murmured, smiling up at him as he laughed softly and pulled her a little closer.

"Maybe I'd just like to kiss you." he commented with a playful grin as she raised her eyebrows and hummed, pulling him closer to her level.

"Oh yeah? Nothing else on your mind?" she teased in return before he laughed and picked her up, carrying her to the bed as she giggled and held onto him before he laid her on the bed.

"We could spend forever looking for that damn warehouse." Erica commented as Alyssa sighed and leaned against the wall.

"Somehow he's preventing me from tracking him." Lyss admitted, shaking her head. "I'm sure Uncle Cas wouldn't be able to track him either."

"So we're just going to hunt down a warehouse we're not even sure Shaw and the hat are in?" Benny asked, before Lyss felt something approaching and stood up quickly. "What?" he asked before a creature appeared in front of them and shrieked.

"Witch!" Lyss shouted as the group became frantic at the thought of having to deal with another witch. Alyssa pulled out her weapons and shot at the woman, but she dodged each bullet effortlessly, teleporting and laughing at the teenager as she gritted her teeth. The others tried to attack the witch before she cast a spell to send them all back. Alyssa screamed as she felt someone grab her and shield her from the impact, landing on top of another on the concrete. She panicked and looked to see who had saved her, her eyes widening when she saw Jesse.

"I hate witches..." he muttered as they both stood up. The witch laughed at them before opening a portal behind them and sending them through, making them both scream as they fell through the portal before emerging in the middle of the sky. Alyssa screamed as she desperately tried to transform but couldn't because she was too scared. She closed her eyes tightly as she accepted the terribly painful impact that was about to come as she felt Jesse wrap his arms around her and take flight. She held on tightly as he landed on the ground and sighed heavily as they looked around.

"Where are we?" Lyss hissed, still holding his arm as his eyebrows furrowed and he looked down at her.

"I don't know... it's like New York," he said, putting his hand on her back as they began to walk down the street before they saw a sign. "Limbo City..."

"Limbo City?" she repeated, her eyebrows furrowing before they both heard a loud screech. Lyss swore to herself as she stumbled a little and looked around, not being able to see what was making the sound, but she definitely felt it before she felt the world shift around her and she grabbed Jesse, causing him to look at her.

"Lyss?" he asked worriedly, holding her hands before she suddenly disappeared from view and he looked around worriedly as she began to panic, staring at the vampire as she tried to grab him but her hands just kept gliding through him as if she wasn't even there.

"Jesse...!" she said nervously, panicking even more before she heard the screech again and turned to see the demon.

All her years of fighting demons hadn't prepared her for what she saw. It was worse than any demon she'd ever seen before; almost nine feet tall, with decay covering its entire body. It had large, bulging eyes and a jaw that hung open, revealing sharp teeth covered in blood and flesh, the sight causing Lyss to scream in horror at the creature that was worse than any demon or ghost she'd ever encountered. Her scream seemed to echo through the worlds, reaching Jesse as he frantically looked around, shouting her name, desperately trying to find her.

"Alyssa!" he shouted as she stumbled away from the demon, terror gripping her as it approached and bared it's teeth. She reached for her weapon, screaming as the demon snatched her up and held her in a tight grip that made her bones scream for release, the tight grip only serving to make it harder for her to break free.

"Get your filthy fucking claws off her!" an unfamiliar voice shouted as a shot rang out and the demon released her, causing her to fall through the air before someone caught her and brought her safely to the ground. She breathed heavily as she looked around frantically, her eyes wide as she looked up at the man.

He was tall, about 6'2" or so. He was also undeniably handsome, with a faux hawk and a very muscular build that was hidden by the long trench coat he was wearing. He had a prominent scar over his right eye. The one thing Alyssa couldn't see, but definitely felt, was how incredibly strong he was. His energy was stronger than any she'd ever felt... it was similar to her own.

"Who...?" she started before the demon shrieked and tried to charge at them before they both drew their weapons and aimed at it as they both shot it down and it exploded in a grotesque mess of blood and ash. Lyss grimaced as the demon disintegrated and the world around them shifted again, allowing them to see what was going on in the human world. They both lowered their weapons as Lyss let out a shaky breath and looked back at her saviour before noticing the amulet around his neck.

It was similar to the Perfect Amulet she'd seen her father wearing in old family portraits... when he was in his late twenties. Her eyes slowly rose to the man, staring at him as the dots began to connect. She stared at him, eyes wide, as he looked over at her and raised his eyebrows.

"How did you get to Limbo?" he asked as her eyebrows furrowed.

"What...?" she said quietly before blinking a few times and perking up. "Oh... we were sent here."

"Not the city." he snapped, making her jump in surprise. "Limbo. The demon world." he corrected, stepping closer to her, clearly suspicious of her.

"I-I'm a Nephilim." she said nervously, trying to back away before stumbling slightly and catching herself. "My mom's an angel and my dad's a half-human, half-devil..."

"You're a Nephilim too?" he asked, still not believing her as she nodded before standing up straight and taking off her jacket.

"You might want to stand back..." she said quietly as he frowned and stood back. She took a deep breath, the wings slowly growing from her back as a grimace appeared on her face. Her wings spread out when they were done growing and the man stared at her in shock as her wings folded against her back. "I'm like you."

"I don't have wings," he murmured as she laughed and smiled a little.

"Maybe you're just not strong enough." she joked as he glared at her. "My mother is an archangel. That means I'm not only a Nephilim, but an incredibly strong one." she explained as the man frowned.

"There are female archangels?" he asked as she hummed and nodded.

"Only one. Ophiel." she confirmed. "I'm Alyssa."

"Dante." he replied gruffly before Jesse finally found them and ran over to punch the other nephilim before he whirled around and grabbed his fist, throwing him over his shoulder and pulling out his gun, pointing it at his face as the vampire growled and bared his fangs.

"Wait!" Lyss shouted, running over and holding Dante's arm up as he glared at her. "Jesse's with me! He's just... overprotective!" she said as the man took a deep breath before glaring at the vampire.

"You're friends with a fucking freak like that?" he hissed, releasing Jesse and approaching Lyss as she backed away nervously.

"Dante, please..." she said nervously as he glared at her. "Jesse is a vampire, not a demon! He's no threat to any of us!"

"But he's a threat to everyone else!" he shouted as she grimaced.

"Screw you too!" Jesse shouted in response.

"Shut up!" Alyssa and Dante shouted in unison, causing the vampire to close his mouth and frown.

"He won't hurt anyone else!" Lyss hissed, glaring at Dante. "He's actually made a lot of progress!"

"And you believe that?!" Dante shouted as she started to get angry, screaming as she swung at him. He stumbled a little as she hit him, glaring at her as he ran towards her, grabbing her fist as she tried to hit him again. She struggled against him before pulling out a gun and placing it under his chin as he pressed his gun to her temple. "Put it down!" he shouted as she glared at him, biting the inside of her cheek. "Alyssa!" he shouted before she dropped the gun and sighed as she watched him do the same.

"I'm still here." Jesse said sarcastically before Lyss turned and punched him on the arm, making him grimace a little.

"Stay out of this, you idiot!" she hissed as he scowled at her. "Dante, I told you he's not a problem!"

"And you expect me to just believe that?" he snapped, glaring at her.

"You don't have to believe it, but it's the truth," she said sternly as the older man sighed heavily. "Listen dude, we need help."

"Well, I can't help you." he said, drawing an exasperated groan from her. "I don't know what the hell you want me to say, kid."

"Please!" Lyss cried, grabbing his arm before he could walk away. He pulled himself away and frowned at her.

"You're shit out of luck with me." He said firmly as she glared at him. He pulled away from her and walked down the street as she stood there watching him helplessly as Jesse ran over to her.

"Now what?" he muttered, standing next to her as she frowned.

"Uncle Cas!" she screamed, looking around as Jesse looked at her in disbelief. "Castiel!" she yelled, stamping her foot before they both heard a noise behind them.

"There you are." He said gruffly as they both turned to face him, Jesse's eyes widening as he had never seen Castiel in person before. "How did you get here?"

"A witch." Lyss said bluntly. "Take us back."

"I can't." He shook his head, staring at the teenager with slight annoyance. "I can't just send you back to our world from here."

"Well, why not?" she hissed, glaring at her uncle.

"Because I don't have the power."

"You are a Seraphim! Seraphim are the highest choir of angels, so why can't you?"

"I wish I could, but I can't," he admitted with a sympathetic look. "We need to find the witch who caused this so you can go home."

"This is bullshit!" Alyssa screamed, kicking a stone as the angel looked at the vampire who was still staring at him.

"What?" he asked as the vampire scoffed.

"I've never seen an angel in real life before."

"You are looking at a vessel. My true form could destroy you." He commented, earning a snicker from the brunette.

"Of course it would..." he murmured, shaking his head. "I guess Alyssa hasn't seen your true form yet, huh?"

"Of course I have!" she hissed, glaring up at him. "I'm a fucking Nephilim, and a rare one at that! I'm one of the few creatures who can see the true form of an Angel without fucking imploding." She growled, shaking her head as the vampire huffed.

"Don't yell at me, okay?!" he snapped back, glaring at her. "I didn't get us into this situation, so cut the crap!"

"If it wasn't for you, Dante might have actually helped!" she shouted, shoving him as he tried to grab her arms.

"Now it's my fucking fault?"

"Yes! It is!"

"Stop it!" Castiel shouted, causing them both to stop fighting as they looked at him. "Yelling at each other won't help. We need to find this witch because she's here in this world."

"What...?" Alyssa whispered, her eyebrows furrowed.

"When Ethan told me that you two had been sent to another dimension, I started tracking the witch." He explained, moving closer to her. "When witches use magic, they leave a trail. And I followed that trail here. That's why I was able to come to your aid."

"And where is it?"

"The trail was dead when I arrived." He admitted as Alyssa and Jesse both sighed heavily.

"Now what?" the vampire complained, rubbing his face as Castiel shrugged.

"We start looking."

Captain's Log

Day 1 of writing fanfiction for Twelfth Night (yes, the Shakespeare play) in which it is lesbians instead of a woman pining meaninglessly over a straight woman pretending to be a man (aka Viola/Olivia and Orsino/Sebastian).

I am slowly going insane, I no longer understand the English language and I really wish there were more details about what Viola was like, because there's basically no plot anymore if we don't have Viola fall in love with Orsino. It's all over too quickly.

I might cry. I will keep you all updated on this.

I am also taking suggestions for plotpoints to throw in for funsies. For shits and giggles, even.
