A very exciting day from the Merpepito AU
Read on Ao3
-
Pepito has been a pirate for one month and three days, and he has finally been given his first Pirate Job.
"Pepito, I'm trusting you with something very important," Captain Celbi had said as the ship had pulled into port.
He had crouched and pulled out a small leather pouch from the pocket of his coat. He held it out to Pepito, nodding seriously as Pepito took the pouch in both of Pepito's hands.
"Pac and Mike are going to go grocery shopping while we're here, but they always forget the most important food when I send them shopping," Captain Celbi explained. "They don't buy any candy, and we both know how important candy is."
Pepito nodded seriously. Candy is important, Apa Quackity says that it's one of the major food groups along with fish, seaweed, and cocaine.
"So I need you," Captain Celbi continued, "to take this money and make sure that you get candy. One piece for every crew member, and two pieces for yourself as payment for taking on this very important mission."
And so here Pepito is, grocery shopping for the first time as a pirate. Mister Pac and Mister Mike and Richarlyson are with him, but they don't know about his mission; it's a secret mission, Captain Celbi had said!
The Sky Pepito town is huge, but Pepito doesn't think they'll get lost. Mister Mike seems to know where they're going even if Richarlyson does keep running off and getting lost in the crowd and punching people until Mister Pac goes to get him.
"Settle down, Richas!" Mister Pac groans. He takes Richarlyson by the hand and pulls him to his side. "You're going to get arrested like this, you know!"
"And?" Richarlyson challenges. "So what! Pai Cellbit gets arrested all the time!"
"Cellbit is also a complete sociopath," Mister Mike comments. He looks at the grocery list with a hum. "He told us to buy coffee, how the hell are we supposed to make coffee on a boat?"
Pepito doesn't know what a 'sociopath' is, but it sounds cool! Some kind of artist, maybe?
He looks around the market. There has to be a candy stall somewhere!
Back in the Reef, Miss Niki had the best candy. She made taffy out of The Ocean's salt, and she sold it alongside her cookies in her shop, and, man, Pepito really misses Miss Niki.
...He doesn't miss anything else about the Reef, though! Definitely not Apa Roier or Apa Quackity or Apa Mariana or Apa Carre or Ama Rivers or Awuelo Foolish, that would be silly!
Pepito is a pirate now. He's doing a Pirate Job for a Pirate Captain, and he's going to end up in sooooooo much trouble with the Navy because of it! (Everybody knows the Navy hates candy. It's because they're lazy disgusting sacks of organs and blood, according to Captain Celbi, and he's never wrong!!)
Pepito jumps as someone taps his shoulder. He looks up and sees Mister Mike looking down at him with crinkled, smiling eyes.
"Don't get lost, now, Pepito," he says. "Cellbit will leave you behind if we go back to the ship without you."
Pac gasps and smacks Mister Mike's arm, but he's smiling, and Richarlyson is laughing.
Pepito's eyes well with tears, but he doesn't cry. He knows that they're all pirates. They're evil. Of course Captain Celbi would leave if Pepito got back to the ship late, he's a pirate captain, and Pepito still hasn't finished his first Pirate Job.
So Pepito bites Pepito's lip and puffs Pepito's chest out. He will not be left behind! He's going to finish his Pirate Job, and then Captain Celbi will say he's a Good Pirate, and then Pepito will be a Good Pepito again.
...But Pepito can't see a candy stall or shop anywhere. Captain Celbi had said that this was supposed to be a secret, but if Pepito doesn't tell anybody that he was given this job, then it's still a secret!
Hesitantly, he tugs on Mister Mike's sleeve and spells out with his finger in the air, "C A N D Y"? (Apparently, there's something called 'sign language' in the Sky, but Pepito hasn't learned that yet, but at least Pepito can spell using the Sky Language now!)
"You want candy?" Mister Mike asks.
"Oooo, I want candy, too," Mister Pac eagerly says. He looks at Pepito with a smile. "When we're done shopping, we'll get some candy, okay?"
Pepito beams, all tears gone.
Richarlyson grumbles and tugs his hand free. He ducks his head, mutters something under his breath, glares at Pepito through his bangs.
Pepito frowns, all smiles gone.
He doesn't get why Richarlyson doesn't like him. They're friends, right? Captain Celbi always seems happy when they're playing together.
...Unless Richarlyson knows that Pepito is a Bad Pepito. Unless Richarlyson knows about the Very Bad Thing.
Uh oh.
-
(Cellbit watches the water, leaning against the ship's railing. He can dream of seeing him again, can't he?
Suddenly, a bright light erupts out of the ocean just over the horizon.
Cellbit frowns, standing and adjusting his hat.
That can't be good.)
-
Halfway through the grocery list, Richarlyson escapes again.
Maybe that's for the best, Pepito thinks. He likes Richarlyson, but he doesn't want Richarlyson telling his dads about the Very Bad Thing. Pepito likes Misters Pacandmike, they've been the ones teaching Pepito how to write the Sky Language. They're smart, and they're nice by pirate standards. Pepito doesn't want them to hate him, too.
So Pepito keeps watching Mister Mike argue with the saleswoman at the bakery. She won't sell him any bread because Richarlyson stole some cookies on his way into the crowd, it's rude. Maybe she's a pirate, too.
But the hair on the back of Pepito's neck raises on end as he hears a familiar shout and a, "Hey, watch it, kid! Where the fuck are your parents, huh?"
No...!
Pepito is a Brave Pepito. Pepito is a pirate! Pepito isn't scared of anybody!
But Pepito doesn't want to see the hatred in Apa Roier's eyes. He wants his last memories of Apa Roier's face to be happy ones where Apa Roier still loves him and wants to be his father and doesn't hate him or think he's a killer or a Bad Pepito.
Pepito can't help it.
Pepito runs.
Pepito holds Captain Celbi's money close to his chest, and he runs.
"What the-" Mister Mike exclaims. "Pepito! Where are you going!"
"Pepito?" Apa Roier asks. He shouts again and calls, "Pepito!"
Pepito ducks into the crowd and drops to his knees, clutching Captain Celbi's money tight so he doesn't lose it.
Apa Roier may be a fast swimmer, but Pepito is a Small Pepito. He knows that Apa Roier is super tall, so Pepito crawls between people's legs and under and through skirts and he hopes that Apa Roier can't see him because Pepito doesn't want to see him.
Pepito is gonna be in soooooo much trouble...
("He's a good boy," Apa Roier says. He glares over Pepito's shoulder at Luzu. "Not a killer. Can you get that through your skull, hmm?")
Pepito sniffs and wishes he was back home where he could hide under his bed until Apa Mariana would get on the ground with him and wait until he was done being scared. Apa Mariana would hold Pepito's hand and talk until Pepito felt better, and Pepito misses him so much. But now Apa Mariana has a New Pepito to hold hands with. He doesn't want Pepito anymore.
Suddenly, something heavy pounces upon Pepito from behind, knocking him down.
Pepito lets out a whine and faceplants onto the ground. He hears his glasses crack (at least he hopes it's his glasses...)
Captain Celbi's money digs into Pepito's stomach. It hurts...
"Got him!" someone shouts, and, oh, it's Richarlyson. Of course he's working with Apa Roier. He wants a Good Pepito, too, doesn't he?
Pepito whimpers and shakes his head. He wiggles, trying to get free, but all he does is rattle Captain Celbi's money a bit.
Richarlyson laughs and reaches under Pepito's stomach and pulls out the money pouch.
"This is Pai Cellbit's!" Richarlyson gasps. His other hand wraps around the back of Pepito's neck angrily. "You stole this from him!"
Pepito shakes his head again. He might be a Bad Pepito, but he isn't a thief! Captain Celbi gave that money to him for a job! A Pirate Job! So Pepito can be a pirate like everybody else!
"Hey, mister!" Richarlyson shouts. "I have Pepito!"
Pepito's stomach hurts, but not from getting tackled this time. He's going to be sick. Apa Roier hates him. He's came all this way just to find Pepito and arrest him and call him a Bad Pepito and-
Richarlyson is yanked off of Pepito; he shouts and fights and kicks right into Pepito's back.
"Richarlyson, what the hell?" Mister Pac demands. "What does Pai Cellbit always tell us?"
Pepito pushes himself up and back onto his hands and knees. His glasses are cracked, but he can still kinda see...
But then he's picked up by Mister Mike, and then they're running through the crowd.
Pepito glances down and sees that he's only being held to Mister Mike's chest by one arm. Mister Mike's free hand is holding a gun.
Pirates...
Mister Mike turns his head over his shoulder and shouts, "You are so grounded!"
"What? No!" Richarlyson protests.
"Crew protects crew," Mister Pac says. "Pepito is crew whether you like it or not."
Squinting, Pepito can see Mister Pac dragging Richarlyson along behind him as they hurriedly speedwalk through the crowd.
Mister Pac has his sword drawn, but it looks clean. That's good, Pepito doesn't want Apa Roier hurt.
"He stole from Pai Cellbit!" Richarlyson argues. "He's a traitor!"
Mister Mike rolls his eyes. "Who doesn't steal from Cellbit? Honestly, Pepito stealing from him is enough to make him crew in my eyes."
Pepito's jaw drops. A pirate likes him...!
They continue rushing through the crowd, groceries abandoned. Captain Celbi is gonna be so mad, but he might not call Pepito a Bad Pepito if Pepito's lucky. It isn't Pepito's fault that Apa Roier talked to the Sea Witch! Blame the Sea Witch, not Pepito!
The ship appears over the crowd, and Pepito can almost see the Pepitos on its deck. But his glasses are broken, so all he can really see are smudges that are vaguely Pepito-shaped.
"Cellbit!" Pac shouts. "We need to go!"
Captain Celbi appears over the railing. With his hat and his coat and the clear scowl on his face, he looks truly evil. (So cool...)
"What the fuck did you do?" he demands as they approach. "You were gone for twenty minutes!"
Mister Mike is the first on the ship. As soon as he's on board, he drops Pepito to the ground and reaches out to grab Richarlyson and pull him on board, too. He gently shoves Richarlyson to Cellbit, who takes Richarlyson by the shoulders and holds him still in front of him.
Captain Celbi looks at Mister Mike, and then he looks at the out-of-breath Mister Pac, and then he looks at Richarlyson, and then he looks at Pepito.
His eyes darken, a weird rumbling sound coming out of his throat that almost sounds like growling, but that can't be right. Sky Pepitos don't growl.
Pepito shrinks back. In the air, he shakily spells, "S O R R Y."
"It wasn't Pepito," Mister Pac says. "There was some- some guy at the market who saw Pepito and started chasing us! I don't know, he might be Navy? But they don't usually go after mermaids, right?"
"Who cares who he was?" Mister Mike huffs. He still has his gun out. (Scary...) "Fuck that guy."
He glances at Richarlyson. "You're grounded, young lady. Go below deck."
Richarlyson's jaw drops open in outrage. "But- but he's a thief!"
He holds out Captain Celbi's money pouch. "Pai, see? Pepito stole this from you! He's untrustworthy."
Captain Celbi sighs and takes his money back. "I gave him that money so he could buy candy because you guys never let me have any. Go downstairs, we'll talk later."
Richarlyson's face falls, but he storms downstairs, kicking a bucket full of soapy water over on his way.
Captain Celbi looks at Mister Pac. "We can't leave yet. Baghera and Mousey are still on shore, and we definitely don't have the food supplies to set sail right now. Next port town is over a month away, we'll starve before then."
He takes Misters Pacandmike to talk, occasionally glancing at Pepito.
Pepito lets them be. Pepito isn't a pirate. He can't participate in Pirate Stuff. He failed his Pirate Job. He'll never be a pirate now.
He walks to the gangplank and sits with his knees to his chest. He can't see much of anything, but maybe he can help Miss Baghera and Miss Mouse with their bags when they come back to the ship.
Pepito can't see, but Pepito can hear.
"Shit!" Apa Roier shouts in The Ocean's Language.
If Pepito squints just right, he thinks that he can see Apa Roier backing away from a wooden post on the dock with a hand to his forehead. He's shouting and in pain and it's all Pepito's fault.
Apa Roier's head snaps between the docked ships, looking. Searching. Probably very, very angry.
And then he sees Pepito. And Pepito sees him.
Pepito can't help it. Pepito starts crying as Apa Roier comes running towards him, tripping over himself as he scrambles up the gangplank with extended arms.
"Pepito!" Apa Roier cries. Pepito can't see the look on his face, but Pepito bets he's angry. "Pepito!"
He keeps chanting Pepito's name as he runs, because he's always liked Pepito's name. He always says that it's the best name Pepito could have, and it's probably his favorite name, so the New Pepito is probably named Pepito, too.
Pepito stands and tries running, but his vision is so blurry with his glasses broken and with the tears in his eyes that he manages to trip over the bucket Richarlyson had kicked over and he falls.
Warm arms scoop Pepito up and hold him close in a tight hug.
"Pepito, what the fuck," Apa Roier demands, his face buried in the top of Pepito's head. "A month, Pepito, what the fuck?"
Pepito shakes his head, his entire body quivering. He wants to hug Apa Roier back, but is he allowed to? No, right? Apa Roier's angry...
A cold shadow falls upon them from above.
A gun clicks, cold steel pointing right at Apa Roier's head.
"I'm going to give you one chance to get off of my ship," Captain Celbi coldly says, voice low and flat and absolutely terrifying. "Let go of my crew member, and get off of my ship. One. Chance."
"Your crew member?" Apa Roier scoffs. "He's my fucking son."
Captain Celbi inches closer until the gun is pressed into Apa Roier's hair; Apa Roier doesn't so much as flinch.
Pepito shakes. His lip wobbles, tears streaming down his face and snot bubbling out of his nose. He wants his dad!
In the language of The Ocean, Apa Roier says, "We're going home, Pepito. I'll beat his ass."
Pepito shakes his head frantically. They can't go home, the New Pepito is there, and Pepito doesn't wanna meet them! The New Pepito probably looks cuter than Pepito does. Doesn't need glasses. Is a fast swimmer. Doesn't have asthma. Isn't a killer.
But he can't say this. He can't say anything.
Behind Apa Roier's back, Pepito spells to Captain Celbi, "D A D."
Captain Celbi meets Pepito's eyes.
He lets out a breath, lips pressed together and eyebrows furrowed, but he nods and backs off, clicking his gun until it's safe.
And then Apa Roier lets out a war cry and lets go of Pepito, swinging a leg out and knocking Captain Celbi to the ground. He laughs and lunges for his gun, trying to wrestle it from him. Captain Celbi's hat falls off, revealing the pointy white things on the top of his head; they press flat against his hair and he bares his teeth angrily.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Captain Celbi demands.
"You kidnapped my son, what the fuck do you think?" Apa Roier snaps. He crawls on top of Captain Celbi, his knee between Captain Celbi's legs and his chest pressed to Captain Celbi's chest.
"Oh my gods," Mister Pac quietly says. "Mike, I think they're gonna..."
"Cover your eyes, Pac," Mister Mike replies.
Pepito doesn't know what they're talking about. All Pepito can do is watch uselessly as his dad and his captain wrestle on the deck.
"I didn't kidnap him!" Captain Celbi argues. "Bad brought him to me!"
"And you took him!?" Apa Roier incredulously asks. "Fucking pirates-"
He looks at Captain Celbi, and he goes quiet. He stops fighting.
Confused, Captain Celbi looks up at him. And then he stops fighting, too. The pointy things on his head stick right up, seemingly happy about something.
"Oh," Captain Celbi quietly says. "Hello."
He and Apa Roier are still borderline holding hands over the gun. Apa Roier is still flush to Captain Celbi's front, and Apa Roier's knee is still stuck between Captain Celbi's legs.
"Hi," Apa Roier says, voice soft, almost reverent in a way, the same way he spoke when he talked about how evil and bad and disgusting pirates are. "You kidnapped my son."
"I really didn't."
"I'm not getting off this boat until you give him back."
Apa Roier leans in close as he says that.
Captain Celbi licks his lips. "Then I guess you're going to be stuck here for a while, because Pepito is a prized member of my crew. I wouldn't give him up for anything in the world."
Pepito is... a prized member? Of the crew?
Pepito can't help it. He gets up and runs to Captain Celbi and gives him as good a hug as he can with Captain Celbi pinned to the deck.
He's a pirate!
Pepito is finally a pirate!
Best day ever!

So I wanna talk about tazercraft cause their characters are so incredibly interesting to me in the best way possible. To preface this I don't speak a word of Portuguese (I'm learning tho! And have been picking up on sentences a lot more) and my native language isn't English so I may get some things wrong and if I do feel free to correct me!
More under the cut:
I'll put this in 3 separate parts, them individually and then their dynamic!
Mike:
Mike is interesting to me, he's definitely the outward instigator of the 2 when it comes to causing trouble and as many have already pointed out the brains behind a lot of it! He's managed to master the create mod in ways I genuinely never expected them to be used and it's a cute way to say that mine (his wife) was also a cause of that as the goddess of creation. To move to his personality more he's definitely the lead talker in the duo, he's a lot more confident in his voice and speaking in comparison to Pac and can often seem like the lead of the duo, tho this is the cause for people missing his weaknesses! Mike is not a fighter, far from that actually, he freezes in danger and fumbles. His hand tremble when he holds a sword and sees mobs closing in and when big threats appear his whole body turns into ice. He gets overstimulated by danger he couldn't prepare for or was the cause of. Just to name 2 examples here, the first is in the dungeon on the day the timer ran out you could hear him panic, he was a lot more shaky and especially his sword being the cause of injuries to his friends is what made that worse, it went so far that he even typed in chat that he was overwhelmed (fun fact to note is that through all of that he basically vanished from pacs pov but I'll get to that). Another example is when the code showed up to him and pac to drop Richas cow head to them, he later on explicitly state having frozen in fear to i think Fit if i remember correctly and even when ttt was typed in the chat and pac had jumped down to follow Richas to make sure he could teleport Mike was again, nowhere to be seen.
His fear of a fight that revolves around his family and death especially is so interesting to me cause it's obvious that a lot of that comes from Richas first death and how he still blames himself for it, the fear of failing his loved ones again being set deep into his bones whenever a danger for their lives comes up. This is why the prison stream actually was even more interesting to me than I initially expected, because his personality in that sense took a complete 180! Now it's been shown time and time again that Mike has an intense distaste of the federation and hasn't been fond of them for a long time, he's incredibly hostile to them and not scared at all when threatened by them to the point where it's a game for him and he's retaliated with threats that could lead to a ban for him multiple times. Before I move on I think the reason as to why this is is because the federation never showed to kill or take lives, I think that's why Mike has a lot more confidence in confronting them rather than things that have shown to be fatal with all intention of killing. Back to the prison though, Mike's personality to threats definitely took a turn in there, from the moment we saw him he looked pissed beyond believe and his tone was always threatening and almost mocking, his mind quickly was set on getting him and pac out as soon as possible and the realization that Walter Bob, someone who both have seen be the first federation worker that showed them kindness and an interest in what they do after willingly showing up for a haircut is what devastated him. Mike sees Walter as a close friend due to that and it showed because as soon as the realization of Walters long term treatment hit him he did everything to protect the worker he maybe met a handful of times, you could see him get more and more agitated the more the guards hit him and ironically enough I think if Walter hadn't been there idk if he would've killed the guard, but he was so set on finally setting Walter free as well as make sure Pac doesn't have to relive the past they shared that he was willing to do everything to get those 3 out and that all is perfectly encapsulated by his behavior once Walter got taken again, Mike wasn't sad or distraught like Pac was, no, he was fucking fuming to the point where he didn't respond to Pac. Ya know, the person he talks to 24/7 and that's attached to his hip to the point where most of their words are shared telepathically above all. It was obvious that he was angry beyond believe and I'm sure he's got a lot more plans up his sleeve now to get revenge. Cause if there's one thing about Mike it's definitely that you do not want him as your enemy. He may be an outwardly social guy who is definitely more focused on making people laugh and showing off the things he and Pac created but he's still a fugitive and would destroy the world for those he holds dear as they help him feel stronger in the moments where fear does get the better of him.
Pac:
Pac is honestly incredibly fascinating just due to how many levels his character has. He's outwardly the person that appears more shy in comparison to Mike and stumbles as well as gets flustered quick. This has also been the main cause of people seeing him as a weaker player (which also got added onto by how during the earlier days he'd be the one to die a lot) which in turn has caused an interesting dynamic between him and a bunch of the others players because he's far from that. Pac is full on the brawns when it comes to situations that mean fighting for someone's life, his brain goes into focus mode once a life is on the line and there's many examples to show that! Which is why I find it so funny that he often gets handed things due to seeming and behaving weaker than he actually is (main example here being etoiles who not only gave him a custom diamond sword early on which Pac has kept to this day but also the Scythe which he nowadays uses as his only weapon).
Now to the examples of how he can very much carry his own weight In fights and how fascinating it is to watch him, the first big show of him effortlessly carrying himself and doing his best to support others was during the timer dungeon, he was at the front with Bad,Etoiles and Cellbit and even when a lot less geared than those 3 with a weapon that did a lot less damage he didn't go down once even tho he wasn't even holding a totem at any point. It's genuinely impressive with how well he carried himself through that and used movement to attack big groups of mobs from behind only to have vanished out of their sight again before they could corner him. The only time he got truly cornered was at a point where even Etoiles had to back up a little and ended up next to him and the way Pac casually mentioned being fine only to instantly jump at the opportunity of humor through small talk sticks in my brain to this day due to him having stayed mainly silent the whole time before that. The 2 other examples are about Richas and how quick Pac is to defend his son, like I mentioned before when the Code showed up to him, Mike and Richas, Pac instantly jumped into aggressive, he wanted to hit it but fell due to underestimating the jump and as soon as he laid eyes in Richas he became Pacs priority sticking to his sons side until he was Tp'd away and only then returning to the Platform. The same thing happened during the dinner! Every parent except for him crashed when the codes revealed themselves and as much as Richas was quick to start running the speed at which Pac laid eyes on the egg and started to follow right next to him was genuinely mind blowing, he stood at that elevator once Richas left ready to die if it came to it just to make sure one of those things didn't follow him, and as soon as Mike relogged he became Pacs priority with the latter hovering around him will he was loading in.
Now to compare this to the behavior in prison is interesting. Pacs still as good as ever when it comes to putting on a persona to get what he wants but I do believe that the prison brought up a lot of trauma for him, from what I know his time in prison was a lot worse than Mike's and you could hear that through his voice throughout the whole stream. Pacs a physical fighter not a mental one. But in the end he still has that survival instinct, he still knows he needs to get out to protect his family and he doesn't want to be separated from his other half and best friend anymore so he plays sly. The way he stole the keys from the guard genuinely is the most slick maneuver ever and his ability to portrait his behavior in an exaggerated way that makes him seem like no threat at all has worked in his favor multiple times during this too. He was definitely suffering through that whole experience but his determination to protect the ones he loved still slipped through, his hesitancy when he called to the guards not to hit his friends only to have his voice go small once he was physically threatened. He's not at all comfortable when he doesn't have anything to fight back with. Pacs underestimated A LOT, he let's himself be pushed around for bits with a smile and definitely enjoys appearing a bit dumber and less skilled than he is just due to the perks of it and not really caring for bragging about fighting skills when he'd rather show off the project he and Mike have spent time on, only those with a keen eye can see how he's got the heart of a fighter (Etoiles being the first to vocally call this out) he's not weak by any means and definitely a lot smarter than he'd ever admit. He'd die to protect his family and the ones he cares about and would never back down if push came to shove for them.
To sum this all up and not make this too long (which it already is pfff) for both of them together their dynamic is very clearly the "do not separate" but funnily enough Mike is the one who definitely leans onto that more. During each fight where he panicked, got overwhelmed and/or froze he was missing from Pacs pov, they were split apart and it was Mike who was terrified of not being able to hold his own, the same happened in the prison just differently. In the prison Mike definitely put on a cold facade but it broke everytime he asked if they could share the same cell, the underlying fear of him having to fight alone lacing his words through moments like that. This doesn't mean that Pac isn't the same tho! He's just less outwardly vocal about it in comparison and shows it more through actions and looks. It was obvious to hear his distress when he called Mike's name in prison but his constant turning around to see where the other is and his hesitancy to go into areas that implied separation are what showed how hes just as scared as Mike is about loosing the other.
To go more into headcanon and theories I'd like to think of the 2 as 2 hearts and a shared soul, their telepathic communication is borderline Canon at this point and it's obvious that the thought or implications of being separated doesn't sit well at all with either of them. Their bodies and life's are separate but they're still connected by a soul. And whether that's shown through jokes like not being able to be in one spot without the other or through genuine things like Mike having to remind Pac that only he can hear him unless he uses his voice or their ability to flawlessly work around the other is up to interpretation of each viewer in my opinion but there's something to be said about the fact that without the other they'd never had the determination or confidence to get out of that prison, that without the other their weaknesses would show a lot more and end up causing a lot bigger of a struggle than they currently are. Without the other they wouldn't feel whole.

"Can I ask you somethin' personal?"
Pac paused, hand suspended halfway towards the checkerboard that was currently serving as him and Fit's way of passing the long hours up in the lamp room of the lighthouse. He kept his eyes on the round piece he was holding as he deliberated on how to answer, sure that if he met Fit's gaze his face would give away his nervousness; "personal" could mean a wide range of topics, most of which would spell disaster for Pac and his poorly constructed web of secrets. He slowly placed the piece in it's spot on the board, fighting to keep his voice even as he responded.
"Mmm, you can ask, yeah. I might not answer, but you can ask." Fit hummed bemusedly, absently flipping his own game piece between his fingers and he contemplated his next move.
"What happened to your leg?" Pac's breath caught in his throat, and Fit rushed to continue, "It's ok if you don't wanna talk about it, I get it. I just- I mean, you've probably figured out how I lost my arm, right?" Pac looked up at the familiar, mechanical clacking of the veteran's stiff wooden fingers flexing in and out of their open position, eyes involuntarily darting to the gnarled pink scarring that crawled from under his collar and up to the side of his head. He quickly returned his gaze to the board, face reddening a little in shame. Thankfully though, Fit seemed far from offended. "Heh, it's okay, I know. It's pretty obvious. And besides, you're a smart man. I'd be surprised if you hadn't assumed correctly. Me though - I'm just brawn, I don't have a whole lotta brainpower up in this thing." He knocked his fake knuckles lightly against his temple, a light smile on his face. "So if you are okay with me knowing, you're gonna need to tell me."
A small, nervous laugh bubbled it's way out of Pac's chest, his face properly flushed now in a mix of embarassment and flattery. "Don't - don't say that about yourself Fit, you're smart! Smarter than me, probably-" He cleared his throat, redirecting his focus to the topic at hand (ha.) "I can tell you, I don't mind. It's just a, it's a tough topic, you know? I need to get my head in the right place." Fit nodded easily like he understood, which Pac supposed he did at least somewhat.
"Take your time, I'm not going anywhere." The selkie chuckled a bit, tracing the edges of the paneled glass walls that surrounded them as he considered the best way to talk around the subject; he knew, or at least had decided, that he owed it to Fit to give him some semblance of the truth. After all, they had been growing steadily closed for months now and yet Fit knew so little about his life. Which was out of necessity, or course, but his friend had been so kind and so patient with him, never demanding more information than he was given. Pac needed - no, he WANTED to let him in as much as he reasonably could. He deserved it.
"I..." He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, steeling himself to sort through the painful, tangled memories and hoping he would be able to hold himself together. He starts at the beginning, where he won't have to omit too much of the truth, though if anything that makes it harder to talk about. "Mike and I were on a merchant ship off the coast of São Paulo that was attacked by axis submarines a few years back." Fit winced sympathetically, patiently waiting for him to continue as he picked his next words. "We avoided the worst of the blast, but... Mike was in really bad condition, and I had to hang onto him with one arm and a piece of the wreck with the other while I waited for help to come. By the time someone found us, I was too tired and too um- too relieved to realize that we were being taken as prisoners and not as refugees."
It was all technically true so far, just with some important details omitted: like how they were only on the ship in the first place because their pelts were being imported as merchandise by a fisherman who believed himself to be incredibly lucky, and how they weren't taken as prisoners of war as Fit was no doubt assuming. Pac fails to suppress a shudder as he remembers the smug, taunting grin of the man that stood above him on the deck of his supposed refuge, two familiar seal pelts clutched in his meaty fists.
"I'm so sorry you went through that, Pac. You don't have to keep-" Pac cuts him off, already committed to opening up.
"No, I want to tell you. We," He clears his throat again, pushing down the memories of too-small tanks full of too-salty water, of needles and IV drips and white lab coats and pencils scratching on clipboards as he writhed in pain. "We woke up in some sort of facility, I'm not sure where exactly? I think the men who had us were European but that's all I remember, it's all blurry you know? And that's where we met Cellbit and Felps actually-" The image of frenzied black eyes claws its way to the front of his mind against his will, but he can't help a small smile at Fit's attentiveness as his eyebrows raise in intrigue, the checkerboard between them completely forgotten.
"Anyway, we were there for- months, I think. And long story short Cellbit ended up, um. He tried to- to eat my leg off?" It comes out sounding uncertain, Pac having realized there was no way to say it that wouldn't raise more questions. Sure enough, Fit's mouth drops open.
"Wait he- He tried to eat you?"
"Not- it wasn't- aaaaugh, he wasn't himself ok? They were- they were cruel to us, and they injected him with these drugs that made him all crazy and violent and they kinda just. Let him do it? It wasn't his fault, is what I'm saying." Fit looks disturbed, although significantly less so than Pac would expect from most people. He supposes bearing witness to the horrors of war would give you a higher tolerance to this sort of thing.
The thing is, it really wasn't Cellbit's fault. He had been there the longest of any of them, starved and beaten and forced through their cruel experiments since he had been a teenager. He was angry and desperate and hungry, and it was pure bad luck that Pac had happened to be the closest to him when the "researchers" had decided to test the effects of whatever combination of steroids they had injected him with. The ghost of his leg twinges in pain as it remembers the feeling of sharp teeth tearing through it's flesh.
"Wait so did Cellbit..." Fit hesitates, like he can't quite put together what he means to ask. "So he, bit your leg off? but how does that even-" He's interrupted by Pac giggling, and after a moment he joins in quietly with a confused laugh of his own.
"No, no he- he just did enough damage that the sci- that the jailers had to amputate it. And it wasn't that bad honestly, I mean, they weren't kind enough to knock me out before they started sawing but at least I didn't die!" His amusement at Fit's horrified reaction to his nonchalance almost drowns out the echoes of grief that his heart sounds for one of his fellow prisoners who hadn't been so lucky. Pac puts on a wide grin, forcing himself to perk up from his slumped posture. "So anyway, that's the story! Pretty cool don't you think?" Fit sputters a shocked laugh.
"Pretty- Yeah, sure, Pac. That's- *cough*- that's cool, yeah." It's a joke, obviously, but warmth washes over him anyway at the way that Fit lets him control the weight of the conversation like always. He wouldn't be able to handle trying to talk about his past seriously, and he's grateful to whatever higher power may or may not exist for bringing him Fit, who not only cares but understands despite being a human, and who always without fail meets him wherever he needs to be at. Pac doesn't know what he did to deserve a friend like him. "So, okay," Fit's voice snaps him out of the appreciative haze he had fallen into. "How did you guys get out? Were you released, or rescued, or..." He trails off, eyes imploring him to go on. Pac feels his face light up at the opportunity to discuss his favorite part of the tale - the only part, he likes, really.
"Oh, you're not gonna believe it. It was Richas! He actually saved us!"
"What?" Fit exclaims in elated disbelief.
"Yeah! So ok - they were keeping him prisoner too, but he was just a baby, like a, a toddler right? And the guards that were assigned to him treated him like their own kid-" Minus the horrible inhumane experimentation, of course. "- and he somehow, he figured out how to use their sympathy to get them to tell him where they kept all their keys," - and all the pelts - "and then managed to convince them to let him play with us alone. So he came to me and Mike and told us, so we told him to steal us some guard uniforms and figure out where the breaker box was, and after some planning and waiting for the right time we were able to escape by having him shut off the power and filing out with the rest of the guards! Mike wanted it to just be the three of us but I told him we weren't leaving the others behind." For all the suffering they had been put through it had honestly been comically easy - the facility they were at was small and not well guarded, probably funded independently considering that if any powerful government had proof of the selkies' existence everyone including the scientists would have been in a much bigger mess - the world was already at war, Pac doubted anyone was eager to add another variable to the conflict.
Fit crosses his arms and sits back, nodding in amazement. "Huh, so little Richarlyson is a hero! That's crazy"
"What, you don't believe me?" Pac shouts in mock offense.
"No no no I believe you! That kid is a fighter, I know it. So you guys all just stuck together after that? What about Bagi and Forever?"
"Ah, so- Bagi and Cellbit, they're brothers, or uhm- they're brother and sister, yes? And Bagi had been searching for Cellbit since he was taken, and somehow she ended up at the place we were being kept just a few days after we escaped, and she was able to track us from there. She's crazy smart, Cellbit and her both are. And Forever," Well, truthfully, Forever had just swam up to their pod and started playing with Richas one day while they were searching for a new home, and then the two had become inseparable so he just... stuck around. But Pac wasn't sure how to spin that into something that sounded reasonable for a human family, so he just went with "Forever just showed up one day and wouldn't leave." Fit laughed again at that, and this time Pac laughed with him.
It felt unbelievably good to tell Fit about his story like this, even with parts of it changed. Still, he wanted nothing more than to tell him the truth of what he was - he almost did, right then and there, swayed by the sound if his laughter and the mirth in his eyes. But, he reminded himself, that had to be a family decision; it wasn't just his secrets at stake. It was all of them, and as much as he loved trusted Fit and would be happy to gamble his own safety on that trust, he wasn't willing to risk his whole family.
...But, it would be so much easier if he could just say the whole truth. He wonders if Fit would react with the same attentiveness and amazement he gave to Pac's storytelling.
The rest of the day passed with little more of note, mostly filled with idle chit chat and card games. As Fit tries to teach him how to play Kings on the Corners for the third time, Pac finds himself thinking about how much Fit was changing his life without even realizing. A few months ago, Pac had never wanted or even tolerated human company that wasn't absolutely necessary. But now, he couldn't imagine not having the veteran around to occupy his time. In fact, when Fit had taken his first two-week relief back on shore after two months of service, Pac had felt inescapably lonely even when surrounded by his pod. Not even Richas, who had also been upset over the Ramon's absence, had been able to completely cheer him up. And while Pac's always been somewhat fascinated by humans, and had enjoyed watching the previous lighthouse keepers as they went about their work, he had never found himself as interested by any of it as he does when it comes to Fit.
"What is it?" Fit's voice snaps him out of it yet again, cards abandoned as he looks at him curiously. "You're staring."
"Huh? Oh, nothing, nothing! Just thinking about Richas and Ramon - what do you think they're up to?"
"They should still be hanging out with Cellbit, right? They're probably doing puzzles or something." Fit looks at the clock over on the left side off the room. "It's almost six, Bad should be here soon to take over for the night. Do you want to go join them and I can catch up?"
"Um-" Pac flusters, face heating up slightly. He's not sure why the emotional exhaustion of talking about losing his leg is what's bringing all these revelations to his mind, but he can't seem to pull his thoughts away from how much he appreciates the man in front of him. Which.... "Yeah, I think I'll go find them now! I'll see you soon?" Fit nods.
"Sounds good, Pac. I'll see you in a little bit." With a nod back at him, Pac shuffles out the door and makes his way down the tower. Instead of going to find Cellbit and the children, however, he beelines straight to the rocks where his pelt is stashed and hastily wraps himself in it's familiar comfort, sliding into the water before his limbs have even finished morphing into flippers. Surely a nice, solo swim is what he needs to clear his head.
...If only he could take Fit with him.

the paladin line up!!! (click for better quality)
This is a part of my voltron AU that I already did a bit of art on this here. i'll probably update my foolish design at some other time but there he is for now.
Under the cut -- my reasons for these particular characters, plus some sketched story ideas i had for them/their backstories prior to canon.
(also, yes - qtubbo tucks his jeans into his socks)
Green Paladin - Tubbo. He's green already, fantastic. Also, a nerd like Pidge and naturally curious. I considered other Create-oriented QSMPers for green lion but I think Tubbo fits the best!
Yellow Paladin - Missa. For a while I was gonna make Forever the yellow or blue paladin, but then I realised the whole cast would be wayyyyy too zany or weird. We needed a sturdy, relatable character. Someone who was scared. Someone who didn't really want to be there. Someone who would have an unlikely romance with a menacing purple rebellion-leader alien in space. I knew Missa was perfect for the job.
Blue Paladin - Etoiles. We don't know the specific qualifications for someone to be the blue paladin (thanks Lance), but there are some clear similarities between Lance and Blaytz (I know Allura doesn't really fit with the pattern towards the end of the series, but work with me here), so I sort of made up my own requirements. 1. screams with joy when they get to pilot their lion. 2. dogboy. 3. ready to throw down. (season 1 allura fits all 3 of these, but arguably not really towards s6-7-8). I kinda relate him most to Blaytz out of all the blue paladins.
Red Paladin - Roier. You KNOW it had to be Roier. Who else. Literally who else. The man is red. Ready to throw down. Trusts his instincts. Angsty backstory. Right-hand to the guy who takes the lead in most situations. Also, just in general, I have a vivid vision of qroier in the red lion's cockpit. He could totally pull it off.
Black Paladin - Cellbit. The other characters I considered for this role were bbh and philza, but in the end I liked them more with having alien roles mainly due to their backstories (BBH as an immortal soul-guide demon and Philza as an avian). I just think that Cellbit would fit this role better. He already sort of heads the Order, is associated with the colour black as well. But most of all. I think there's a lot of potential for an angst arc where he goes off on his own for some dumb self sacrificial reason I guess, or maybe because of his extremeee trust issues, and neglects his leader duties because of this. and then there's a whole lesson learned kind of thing, maybe roier brings him back, etc.
Now for some backstories:
I think Tubbo would follow Pidge's backstory and motives pretty closely, given his penchant for breaking into the federation offices and snooping around (very Pidge-like behaviour). The thing I struggled with was getting someone to be kidnapped by space aliens that Tubbo cared enough about to go searching for. I already have plans for Fred, Phil, and the eggs, and they're the main things that drive qtubbo. Also, ideally, they'd have to be somewhat older than Tubbo in order to be on the Kerberos mission in the first place. For a while, I thought about somehow having Tubbo and Pierre being connected, but they're not super close in canon, even if he would make an Excellent Sam Holt.
BUT THEN I REMEMBERED: MORNING CREW. ITS PERFECT. I don't think they'd be directly related, but Pac as Matt Holt just works so well. I think Fit and Ramon would be rebel fighters that free Pac from the Galra and they sort of fall in love that way, but Mike was on the Kerberos mission too and is still missing, and that's Pac's main motivation.
So I think the best people for the Kerberos mission crew would be Pac (technician), Mike (engineer), and Cellbit (pilot). Cellbit obviously takes Shiro's role (sans robot arm, that's Etoiles' duty later on - this AU would divert from VLD canon pretty early on). Roier never gives up on Cellbit, just like Tubbo never gives up on Pac (and Mike). Except unlike Tubbo, who has to purposely get enrolled at the Garrison as a cadet in order to get intel, Roier is already graduate from the same class as Cellbit. He KNOWS there's a coverup of some kind, but he has no way of proving it. Fortunately, an old upperclassman/ex-tutor believes in him enough that he believes in Cellbit too, and together they get to work on figuring out this mystery. When an alien pod crash lands, they know they've got to get a closer look.
Missa is an unfortunate decontamination unit first-responder who gets in the way. They can't just leave him behind to sound the alarm - he has to come with them while they rescue Cellbit! Unbeknownst to them, Tubbo has already taken out the alarms and is also on his way over. Miraculously, they all escape with their lives, and magic space lion adventures ensue.
I feel like none of them would really have any time to change into casual clothing, so they're all in uniform. Cellbit would probably still be in prisoner clothing but tbh I just didn't think of that lol. Also, I wanted to draw him in a garrison uniform that wasn't detox or combat oriented. There are so many cool garrison uniform designs out there so drawing the same one twice was kinda soul crushing lol. cant wait to show you guys their individual character sheets!!

Something soft about prosthetics maintenance and scars treatment with poly morning crew (im firm believer in tubbo's lava scars)
ooo ive never heard ab tubbo's lava scars, love that idea
They locked all the doors at the train station. Earlier that day Pac and Tubbo had spent ages piling up massive piles of blankets and pillows for them to sleep in tonight. After Tubbo locked the final door, he walked back into the main room to survery the scene.
There were Pac and Fit, both shirtless. Pac wore a pair of green pajama shorts that definitely belonged to Mike while Fit wore a more simple plain black pair. They were standing close together and it seemed like Pac was fiddling with Fit's arm.
"What are you doing?" Tubbo asked in a sleepy voice, the exhaustion hitting him as soon as he got close to the people he trusted most in the world.
"Taking off his arm, watch."
Tubbo watched attentively as Pac unhooked and unscrewed every wire and bolt that kept the metal arm attached to Fit's body. He carefully pulled it away, completely detached and set it in a metal case at his feet that Tubbo hadn't noticed earlier. Out of that same case, he pulled a small container of some kind of lotion.
"It helps keep the skin... as it should be," Pac tried to explain when he saw Tubbo looking. "Our flesh isn't meant to be against metal all the time. This..." He shrugged. "It helps."
Once he finished rubbing it in, he sat down and Fit kneeled. "Help me take off his leg."
Pac's leg was much easier to remove, much less complex then Fit's arm. Tubbo could easily help unlatch the straps that held it to his skin while Fit disconnected any of the technical stuff. They took the same lotion and rubbed it into the stub of Pac's leg while he leaned back and sighed contently. It felt domestic, the heat of their bodies all so close together as they took care of each other.
Fit shot a glance at Tubbo. "Do you want us to help put something on your lava burns?"
Tubbo blinked. "I... I mean I never have before. I haven't even thought about it."
Pac tsked. "You're not very good at taking care of yourself." His face softened as he took Tubbo's hand in his and squeezed. "That's okay. You have us to do that for you. He squirmed back farther into the pile of pillows and blankets, pulling Tubbo with him. "It's sleep time now. We can find you something for your scars in the morning."
Tubbo slotted up against Pac's side, Pac's arm around his shoulder as their legs tangled together and one of Tubbo's hands on Pac's chest. Fit sighed and laid down with them, putting his one hand over Tubbo's and snuggling in close to Pac.
"Good night guys," he said in that low gruff voice that totally didn't have Pac and Tubbo shooting wide eyed glances at each other.
"Boa noite," Pac echoed in his native language.
"Boa noite," Tubbo said as best he could, shutting his eyes and letting sleep overtake him. "G'night."

third one. sorry. you can ignore all of these if you don’t like them.
mike “training” fit with sex toys and machines and his hands. mean dom. he’s just trying to make sure fit is good enough for his pac, that’s all! that’s why he’s ruining him!
bonus points if fit isn’t used to sex toys and the unrelenting pleasure they bring.
- ✒️
This one got a bit away from me okay...if this does well I'll post the rest of it. I kind of went a little insane about this prompt.
Pac is Mike's soulmate.
It's a fact that every person on the island knows, like they know the sky is blue and the Feds are bastards.
Since Pac is Mike's soulmate, no one can blame him for wanting to ensure Pac's life is as good as possible.
It's put Mike in some interesting situations, good and bad. He'd say this is one of the better situations he's been put in. Fit is tied to a chair in Chume Labs, naked and half hard against his thigh. Mike must admit he's a lovely sight, with all muscle, scars, and power: exactly Pac's type and Mike's favorite kind of person to break.
He can't let himself get distracted.
He's got Fit here for a reason, after all, to test him. If Fit and Pac are going to be together, Mike needs to make sure Fit is good enough and can handle everything Pac can throw at him. Mike grins, putting his inhumanly sharp teeth on display, and pushes his glasses up.
"Are you ready?" He questions, dragging the eraser of his pencil up Fit's cock and watching the way it twitches at the sensation. Mike notes Fit's reactivity on the clipboard in his lap and then looks back up at Fit.
"As I'll ever be," he sounds breathless already, and it's kind of doing something for Mike. Fit's inexperienced with most things intimate, and Mike is so excited to push him to his limits. Mike nods and reaches for the tray he had set out, grabbing a blue and green fleshlight with the tazercraft symbol molded on it, and a bottle of lube.
"The first test is to see how long you can last; I'll dock two minutes from your overall time to account for the fact that this isn't the real thing," Mike explains and waits for Fit to nod his head before he pours the lube straight on Fit's cock, reveling in this choked down gasp and the way his hips try to twitch away. Mike wraps his hand around Fit and strokes him a few times lazily before he presses the fleshlight down over his dick and clicks the button on a timer off to the side.
Fit gasps like it's a real cunt he's fucking, and Mike laughs, cooing condescendingly at Fit and starting to move the toy over his dick, mean and fast, to begin with. Mike catalogs all of Fit's reactions, watching his muscles flex and pull at the restraints holding them like he can't help but want to grab and touch. Fit squeezes his eyes closed, and Mike tisks at him softly.
"Oi, open your eyes, cachorro. Pac likes being looked at," Mike scolds, moving his hand faster in punishment. Fit cusses, and his eyes fly open to look directly at Mike, wide with his pupils so dilated that there's barely any color left. Mike laughs and slows down his movements, pushing the image over to Pac through their link. He feels the hot wave of arousal that spreads through Pac's body and gets some very choice words spat at him before he closes off the connection and cackles out loud.
Fit is a fucking mess, and Mike is loving it; he alternates speed and marks down little notes here and there. He constantly teases Fit, making fun of how he whines and squirms. Mike knows he can be mean, which makes this all so fun for him. Plus, Fit doesn't mind one bit. Every mean word Mike spits makes Fit twitch in his hand. Mike files that away mentally for later.
Twenty minutes later, Fit gasps sharply, and his hips fuck up into the toy in Mike's hand as much as they can. Mike holds it, and once Fit finishes, Mike clicks stop on the stopwatch. He pulls the toy away and laughs at the pathetic, oversensitive noise Fit makes. Mike sets the toy aside and writes the time down.
"Above average, you're ranking in around Philza and Bad. The longest was Etoiles; he's got crazy stamina, but you're not too bad." Mike downplays Fit's time and watches the way his brown furrows. In reality, he did very well. It's much better than average, ranking up with hybrids and actual demons as a human. Mike sets the toy aside and smiles at Fit; when they lock eyes, fear flashes in Fit's eyes, and Mike feels a spike of arousal.
"Have you ever been fucked, Fit?"

B-PLOT
In a nation far away from the Quesadilla Archipelago sits a police state off the anarchist continent of 2b2t. Fit is a refuge from 2b2t and takes the first job he can get when he gets to the police state: vampire hunter.
Fit doesn’t have any moral obligation to this, as growing up in 2b2t all vampires he had encountered had been aggressive and dangerous. With the first place he moves to promoting anti-vampire propaganda, Fit has no reason to believe that they aren’t essentially intelligent zombies.
Before his nighttime shifts, Fit stops by a 24/7 dinner each night to have a meal and some coffee. There he meets Pac, a cute young waiter who also happens to run the night shift ;) They get chummy and eventually Fit realizes that he likes Pac, leading to him fighting internalized homophobia (which should be the least of his worries).
Getting to know Pac better, Fit finds out that Pac lives with a roomate, Mike. At first he worries that he’s crushing on somebody who’s taken. Fit asks Pac to “hang out” outside of work during daylight hours, but he refuses each time usually using Mike as an excuse. Eventually Pac explains that Mike is essentially his brother and he has to spend a lot of time taking care of him because he’s incredibly sickly. Pac says that he has to spend a lot of time working in order to pay for both of them and is often too exhausted during the day for any activity. This leads to Fit greatly admiring Pac for being so selfless.
Eventually they get to talking about Fit and his profession after spending many dinners together. (fit worries because despite pac taking his dinner break with Fit, he hardly eats and refuses all offers for Fit to pay for his dinner). Fit often tries not to talk about his job, as it’s dirty business, but eventually opens up to Pac. Unexpectedly to Fit, this makes Pac a lot more uncomfortable than he thought it would. Pac was such an empathetic listener, Fit was certain he’d understand.
Pac starts to almost grill Fit, asking if he’s killed vampires who weren’t hunting before. He asks if Fit kills all vampires he comes across. He asks if Fit has ever met one that didn’t seem so bad. Fit, understandably, gets defensive. Yes, he kills all vampires. If he doesn’t, him, Pac, and Mike would all fall to their hands. They cannot get too powerful.
Pac falls quiet at this. His demeanor is scarily different. It’s almost… demure… embarrassed? Is he scared. Fit tries to apologize for snapping, but Pac stops him. He admits to having met a vampire he thought to be kind before and had heard of vampires and people coexisting in other nations. He begs Fit that if he were to ever come across a vampire that seemed kind or redeemable to spare it. Fit says tries to explain that those thoughts are false, and dangerous, but Pac just smiles at him, hoarsely whispers a goodnight, and disappears into the dimly lit kitchens of the diner.
Fit doesn’t see Pac again after that experience and it plagues him at night. Of course he’s briefly considered the morality of killing vampires and the fact that there are nations that live with vampires, but those thoughts have never kept him alive before. Yet now they plague him. He’s aware of his new nations authoritarian presence and considers that it’s propaganda regarding vampire-friendly nations could be falsified. After all, Fit grew up in a land that ran entirely on anarchy. Anything is possible and he’s not necessarily naive.
He considers the fact that maybe Pac is naive, but knows that Pac is actually so so smart. He does online classes for his degree in chemical engineering after all. Fit still tries to convince himself that vampires are mindless beasts, but it’s harder to settle now. On a sidebar, a vampire likely took Fit’s arm, contributing to his attitude on them.
Of course shortly after his conversation with Pac, Fit meets Ramon. During one of his nighttime sweeps, Fit hears the unmistakable sound of human eating noises and the splatter of what could only be blood coming from an alley. He turns the corner and finds Ramon absolutely tearing into the carcass of a rat.
Fit hesitates for a few reasons, Ramon is the youngest vampire he’s seen yet, being barely around 10 years old, he isn’t eating a human, and he flinches away from Fit. Fit comes to his senses, a bit surprised that Ramon hasn’t sprang for his face yet. He gets ready to give the fledgling a swift death, but Ramon begins to speak, begging him not to make it hurt. Fit has heard vampires speak before, but this was the first time one spoke kindly to him. Fit finds himself unable to hurt the kid. He takes off his overcoat, throws it over Ramon’s bloodstained body.
He takes in Ramon and finds out that many of his biases against vampires are unjust. Ramon explains that a lot of vampires actually intermingle in society but many can’t. Ramon can’t because he’s a child and would likely get discovered quickly. Ramon explains that a lot of vampires can sustain off of meat and animal blood, but ultimately it’s not enough and only human is truely filling. Without as least some human blood, most vampires will become very weak, thought they likely won’t die unless they stop eating completely.
Fit feeds Ramon all the meat he could want and eventually convinced Ramon to feed from himself as well. It takes a lot of time and conviction. Ramon is almost aggressive by the time he agrees. Fit eventually finds out that Ramon wasn’t even turned a year ago. He was a street rat who was kidnapped and forced to join a fighting ring. Spreen was a captive vampire that was forced to bite and turn Ramon. Spreen broke the two of them out and watched over Ramon for a few weeks before leaving. During that time Spreen taught Ramon a lot of hard lessons and wasn’t very kind to him. He left suddenly leaving Ramon to have to adapt quickly.
What Spreen never told Ramon was that he only was cruel to strengthen him. He left so suddenly because he knew that their former captors had his scent and would soon kill him. Unfortunately, Ramon never knew these things and nobody would, forever giving him a complicated outlook on his sire.
Between working nights and now raising and “feeding” a kid, Fit is exhausted. One very early morning during one of his patrols, Fit comes across a vampire eating the corpse of a person. It’s Pac. He and Fit make eye contact and Pac bursts into tears, incoherently apologize while scrambling away. Fit assures Pac that he won’t kill him.
Pac explains that he was turned a few years ago in prison and just barely escaped with Mike. They didn’t mean to end up in their current nation, as they were aiming for one that didn’t kill vampires, but ended up settling as they regained strength and money to travel. Meat wasn’t enough to sustain Pac so he began hunting bad people from anonymous tips on the dark web. It got too dangerous after a vampire hunter caught him onetime and nearly killed him so Mike insisted that he were to feed from him,
It wasn’t sustainable and eventually Mike became very anemic leaving Pac to support both of them. Despite being sickly, Mike still insists that Pac feeds from him until he no longer can, hence his and Fit’s unfortunate meeting. Fit takes Pac home where Pac is certain that Fit will kill him. He begs Fit to take care of Mike, as he deserves nothing bad to come to him. Fit tries to reassure him, but Pac is inconsolable. He finally calms down when Fit introduces him to Ramon.
Fit quickly meets Mike, who at first is very distrustful of him, but comes around. They all move in together and start pooling money and plan to escape. It’s hard with Pac and Ramon’s diet and Mike’s poor health, but they just barely pull it off and end up in Quesadilla Island :)
also I forgot to mention last post but I’d love it if anybody wanted to talk about their own questions, thoughts, or own aus

Felpac Week AU Day: Dungeon Meshi AU \o/!!
hi guys \o/ just posting this one on tumblr for now. This is part of mine and @routeriver 's dungeon meshi au!! and for day six of @felpacweek \o/!!
it's quite honestly heavily based off a scene from the manga--a flashback of falin and marcille--but i have of course made sure to change it so it's consistent with felpac + qsmp. i'm kind of just taking the bones and building off of it
hope you enjoy, reblogs are appreciated \o/!!
Felps had asked him if he wanted to see something cool and—maybe against his better judgement—Pac had said yes.
They’ve been adventuring together for a little bit now, anyway. If Felps really wanted to kill him, Pac’s sure him and Cellbit would’ve found a much easier way to do so down in the dungeons.
So, he follows after Felps as Felps leads him through a forest. And tries very hard not to think about the fact Felps had taken his hand to do so.
Felps is relaxed as he walks. Nothing tense in his posture at all, and a small smile on his face.
Pac, however, probably looks like the living embodiment of anxiety. He’s being taken—alone—to an unknown place in the middle of a thick forest on the outskirts of town by someone who kind-of-maybe watched while his leg was eaten. And to top it all off—that person is hot and is holding his hand.
Mike would laugh at him for the latter. Or chastise him for holding it to the same level of stress as the former. But he doesn’t get it.
“Here.” Felps diverts from the path he was on and tugs Pac over to a bush filled with red berries. “Are you hungry?”
“Are they—Are they even safe to eat?”
Unfortunately, Felps lets go of his hand to pick a few.
“Yeah, I think so.” He shrugs, and pops one into his mouth before offering his handful to Pac. “I mean—I’ve been eating them.”
“Um… okay.”
Hesitantly, Pac takes one. He just holds it, though.
“I’m not dead yet, right?” Felps jokes, before eating another. “I’ve eaten worse, probably.”
And Pac has, too. Probably. Assuming this isn’t poisonous.
But him and Mike had to get creative while they were kids. And then again when they’d just escaped prison and didn’t have any money.
As a sign of good faith, Pac eats the berry. And it’s worth the whole fearing for his life thing when Felps beams at him.
Felps takes his hand again and leads him back onto whatever path he was following before.
“A few years back,” Felps starts anecdotally, “I got lost. So I had to eat cigarettes.”
“What?”
Okay Pac doesn’t feel so good about eating the berry now. Not if that’s Felps’ measurement for whether something’s edible or not.
“It was all I had on me!” Felps says—his voice rising in pitch a little as he tries to defend himself. “And it’s fine, see? I’m still alive. And I made it back to civilisation a few days later, so it wasn’t for long.”
“Felps, you—you don’t even smoke!”
A frown crawls onto Felps’ face, and he takes a moment to respond.
“They’re good for bartering, you know?”
Oh. Right. Pac had almost forgotten why he knows that Felps doesn’t smoke—cigarettes and the like were traded a lot throughout the prison. But even if Felps wasn’t bound to Cell, a pack of cigarettes wouldn’t have won him over.
Although, Pac is sure he does other things.
“Oh!” Felps speeds up a little, and Pac stumbles to adjust his pace to keep up. “We’re almost there!”
There turns out to be some hole at the bottom of a hill. Standing a metre or so away, Pac can’t quite see down into it.
Felps lets go of his hand again to crouch by the opening, and Pac feels his heart rate spike.
“Felps!” He hisses. “What are you doing? It’s probably, like, a bear cave or something!”
Felps looks back at him, clearly amused.
“It’s a dungeon. But only a small one—come take a look.”
At Felps’ beckoning, Pac slowly inches closer.
He’d say his self-preservation is usually better than this, but curiosity has always won out over it. That, or pretty faces. In this case there’s both, and Pac is helpless but to play the role of the cat—he can only hope the second half of the saying is relevant here, too.
Pac crouches down next to Felps. The opening is certainly big enough for a bear—which means it’s easily big enough for both of them to crawl into.
It’s not particularly dark in the dungeon. There must be some opening up the top allowing the sunlight to shine through a bit. There’s water throughout it, but definitely enough land to comfortably stand on—a small slope down from where they’re standing which turns into a patchy pathway leading to a large bit of ground in the middle.
“Should we go in?” Pac asks.
A small dungeon like this seems like it’d be perfect to study from. He’s only ever been in ones that are way more developed—which have a lot to offer in the way of learning, but these early steps are some of the most important ones, right?
“Sure.” Felps shrugs and sends him a smile. “I already have a few times.“
Still… despite his burning curiosity—despite how this could advance his theories—he hesitates. Felps is already ahead of him. He turns to look back at Pac.
“It’s perfectly safe.” Felps assures him, holding his hand out for Pac to take. “There’s plenty of sunlight, you know? And we’ll be able to see if anything shows up. Just stick to the dry parts and you’ll be fine.”
Pac takes Felps’ hand, and lets himself be led down into the dungeon.
It’s beautiful. Pac has always loved gardens. And while this is more mossy cave than garden, the air swarming with sparkling sprites certainly adds to the magic of the place—quite literally.
Pac takes a moment to just stand there and soak it all in. It’s nothing compared to the absent hum of power from a grown dungeon, but it’s definitely something.
“What do you do here?” Pac asks.
“Oh, I just sit.” And when Pac turns to look at him, he already is. “And I nap sometimes. It’s a nice place for a nap.”
“I—Yeah, I guess that’s true.”
He should probably take samples. Of the water, and the dirt—anything he can get his hands on. They won’t be in town long enough for him to study it properly, so he’ll need to make sure he gets some of everything he could possibly need.
Starting with the pond, he pulls a couple waterproof vials from his bag as he approaches. The water isn’t exactly crystal clear, but it’s not worryingly murky, either.
The sunlight doesn’t quite reach it, but Pac thinks he can see enough to note a bit of a drop-off. Nothing too serious—just that even right by the edge he could probably submerge his hand up to his wrist. Which makes it a little more difficult to grab samples of whatever the waterbed is made up of.
Mostly just because he’s a little worried about the consequences of sticking his whole hand into an unknown dungeon pond.
But this is for science. And the science is for an important cause.
He kneels down by the edge of the water and—
“Oh—My god!”
—throws himself back, fumbling for his staff.
“What?”
“There’s a slime!” Pac throws an arm back blindly to protect Felps, and readies his staff to fire. “Stay back! I’ve been practising atta—“
“Woah, wait, Pac!” Felps tugs on his arm with the staff, effectively throwing off his aim. “Calm down! It won’t come into the sunlight, see?”
“What?”
As Felps promises, the slime doesn’t advance. It curiously pokes at the edge of the sunlight before sinking back into the water.
“Oh.” All of his tension drains out of him as the word does.
And he feels a little silly for the overreaction.
“Mhm, see?” Felps lets go of his arm, but urges him further away from the edge of the sunlight. “We’re safe here. It’s okay.”
“Right.” Pac laughs self consciously, face warm with embarrassment. “Sorry.”
“It’s fine.” Felps’ face blanks for a moment, before he smiles. It doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “It’s sweet, you know? That you wanted to protect me.”
It sounds like he isn’t saying something. But Pac doesn’t want to think about that right now.
It’s not like they haven’t all protected each other while adventuring, anyway. Felps’ magic in particular has saved them more times than Pac can count. Surely that makes up for…
He’s not thinking about it.
“Anytime, you know?”
Maybe the wrong answer. Felps quickly turns his face away, looking towards the ceiling of the dungeon. He points up.
“There’s bats up there.” Felps says. And sure enough—Pac can just see glimpses of them huddled together among the stalactites. “I think the slimes eat the bat shit—what’s it called? Guano?—and then they convert it into magical energy. It’s what keeps the dungeon alive.”
“Really?”
“Oh, I don’t know.” Felps shrugs, and throws an easy smile his way. This one seems a bit more normal. “I’m just guessing. Haven’t really been here long enough to know for sure, you know? But it makes sense, right?”
“It does.”
Felps sits down, and after a moment Pac does the same. Samples can wait. Maybe he just needs to sit for a bit—take it all in properly.
There’s a whole ecosystem at play here. Pac had suspected that a little, of course, but this early dungeon—without all the bigger distractions—really highlights how much is interconnected. How intricate it all is.
The bats have to eat, too, after all. Maybe those berries Felps picked earlier. And for the bats to eat the berries, the berries have to be able to grow, which is probably its own whole mini-ecosystem.
Out of the corner of his eye, Felps shifts—lying down.
“Wake me up when you’re ready to go, alright?”
“Okay.”
How did Felps even find this place?
Well… it is Felps. It’s not totally surprising. It probably doesn’t even have to do with his skill with magic—if anyone was going to stumble across a budding dungeon, it’d be him. That’s just the kind of person he is. Something about him invites this kind of stuff.
It’s been nice getting to know this side of him. It was there in prison, of course, just… suppressed.
He smiles a lot more now. And not just when it’s only the two of them hiding away together.
And Pac should probably tear his gaze away from Felps before Felps opens his eyes and catches him staring.
He pulls his notebook from his bag and writes down what he’s already learned. Writes Felps’ theory, as well as his own.
He has a long way to go before he can reach his goal, but this is a good next step.

Ok, so everything I said about what the "we are humans, not fish." quote from Foolish is probably not right BECAUSE
I just found out that this quote is from Naruto, more specifically Itachi, a member of the akatsuki, the organisation where Foolish's current skin came from ->
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole quote is this:
"We're both human, not fish. No matter who you are, you do not truly know what kind of a man you've become until you reach the very end. One realizes one's true nature at the moment of death. Don't you think that's what death is about?"
It's interesting that q!Foolish changed it to "we are humans" and not "we're both human". He probably meant all the other members who do not trust him at the moment. And the next line is pretty self explanatory, everyone is saying that q!Foolish betrayed them and that he's working for the Federation, but since we don't know what the Feds true intentions are with Foosh, we simply do not know if he did betray them or not.
Look at q!Cellbit as an example. Everyone trusted him, and he's the reason everything they knew about the feds and their whole investigation went to waste, even if he didn't do it intentionally. Maybe Foolish working with the Feds on purpose, might give the opposite results, and they might actually find a way to take down the Federation once and for all.
But as the quote says "No matter who you are, you do not truly know what kind of man you've become until you reach the very end". Foolish on the day he arrested Pac e Mike also said this: "Eventually it will all pay off. We just have to be very very patient, like we've always been." Whatever is the outcome of all this, we have to wait until the end, and then we'll know if Foolish did make a mistake joining the Federation or not.
The last part is a bit worrying tho, because q!Foolish might be implying that if it comes to that, his friends and family will only know what kind of a person he truly was, once he dies.
Some other cool hints from Naruto that were said before "we're both humans, not fish":
Kisame, another character from Naruto was talking about sharks and how they are killers from the moment they are born, and that's why Itachi called sharks "fish", because Kisame compared Itachi and him to sharks.
"No one who dares to raise their hand against a comrade ever dies a decent death" - I don't think Foolish even realized but this line fits him and Tazercraft so well. This was said like right before the fish quote.
So that's all the theory stuff. I just want to say big KUDOS to Foolish because holy shit. When Cellbit went to the coords, he was so disappointed by the sign Foolish left because he has no idea it has a deeper meaning. We knew Foolish was smart, and I was guessing the quote was not just some kind of joke because if you look at most of Foolish's stuff that are not supposed to be taken seriously, he most of the times puts ":D" next to it. But the sign only had the quote, nothing else. It even had a dot at the end (which means serious). So I hope Foolish and Cellbit gets to talk today before or after the elections and Foolish might imply that the quote has a deeper meaning (or Cellbit finds out about it in some other way). I just want him to know because it was such a smart move from Foolish. My streamer is good at lore :D

My Predictions for Who (If Anyone) May be Corrupted Next
I'M BACK ALREADY YOU CAN'T GET RID OF ME FOR LONG!!!!
So yeah, we’ve got Corrupted Forever now. That’s fun
What’s more fun is how this happened, and what this means for other people
Because Forever might have been the one most at risk to corruption due to his extended time in the Nether, but he is far from the only one vulnerable to this
Here’s who I know of to be at risk, in order of most likely to least likely
Fit, Phil (Kinda), Etoiles, Bagi, and Pac
Because like I pointed out earlier today, Fit and Phil cleaned up a huge amount of the concrete left around the server, with QSMP Updates even commenting (specifically in regards to Fit) that “That surely won’t have consequences, right?” Or something along those lines I don’t have the patience to look it up because Twitter is a hot mess in that regard
That, and his Rebellion work, is why I think Fit is currently most at-risk. Because in addition to the Black Concrete Cleanup he and Phil did, he also went to investigate the Black Concrete Dungeon to find traces of one of the Codes. So unfortunately, I think if anyone else is gonna succumb to corruption, it might be Fit. (AND PHIL WILL SUFFER DAMMIT)
After that we have Etoiles, who has been doing various work for the Rebellion that has semi-frequently led him to be exposed to Black Concrete, but to my knowledge, he hasn’t had as much direct contact with it aside from the Code Explosion and the time he, Fit, and Bagi investigated the Code together. Not to mention that he’s already Code-Corrupted kind of, and it’d be a little strange for him to have two separate infections/corruptions
And of course there’s Bagi, who had also investigated that Black Concrete Dungeon, but this is basically the only time Bagi had any extended contact with the Concrete aside from day-to-day stuff that everyone had
Pac of course, was in the Nether for a bit, having been led there by Walter Bob, but it doesn’t look like there’s been any effect on him that we can tell, since he wasn’t there as long as Forever was. I’m just adding him to the list because he was in fact in the Nether at one point (There's also the fact that right now he's probably gonna have his hands full with Mike, if anything comes from that)
Now, I did put Phil on the list, but he’s a bit of a special case here. Because while he DID help clean up the Concrete, leading to him having a lot of direct contact, he wasn’t the one that QSMP Updates called out. Not only that, but we now have Rose possibly helping him, which means he may not get corrupted because of her influence and protection. (It’s not surefire though, so that’s why he’s still on the list, and pretty high on it at that. I think I might have more thoughts on this later though because I’ve got an idea for some good angst potential here specifically)
So yeah, that's who I think could possibly be corrupted. Fit is definitely the highest on the list
(AND APPARENTLY SOMEONE REBLOGGED MY FIRST POST TALKING ABOUT THIS WITH THIS IN THE TAGS SO HEY THAT’S A GOOD OMEN IF EVER I'VE SEEN ONE)
Tumblr media
In short, lots to look forward to :)
*Edit because I forgot to mention that FIT IS DOING A SATURDAY STREAM TOO BTW. That ISN'T TOO NORMAL FOR HIM and is raising ZERO RED FLAGS

Thoughts on Fit's Last QSMP stream- spoilers ahead
Tumblr media
It is Thursday, May 23rd, 2024. 2:36pm EST when writing. And I am disappointed in myself. Not for anything Fit, the server, the admins, or anyone besides me has done.
I hoped. And once again, I am expectedly crushed. I had a feeling that Fit would take himself out of the equation in the way he did. There would be no Pac Camio (ghost or living), no sight of Ramon either. Just business, as Fit is one to do.
But god did I hope for something out of a fanfiction. The biggest contenders were Pac's ghost or a hallucination speaking to Fit at the bottom of that damn hole to prep and escort him to the afterlife where everyone was waiting for them. OR the idea that Fit, after returning to the island, would kill himself in a similar but unique way to Pac and Mike. Regardless, neither happened. But I am very happy in what I witnessed.
I won't get into too much there will be vod watchers who accidentally stumble into Tumblr- to which I tell you, GO WATCH THE DAMN VOD.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the Fit abused in-game mechanics to justify his survival down there. However, it calls into question whether or not he took up cannibalism again (writers you know what to do) in which I digress cus that a conversation within itself. I also appreciated that Fit made the effort to check up on more people other than just Pac and Ramon. It sounds like "Yeah, ofc." but let us remember that most of us (and I could be wrong) are shippers, and our yearning for Hideduo kind of blindsided the other relationships q!fit has. (This applies to me to just so yall know)
What fit did to justify or at least give credence to Ramon's character was sweet and I really hope we get some Ramon-centric fics about the possibility of his survival in an otherwise abandoned world, similar to his father. I may do that on my own but definitely not today. Mr. Fit Em See fucking wrecked me and I really could use some fluff right now. Whether it be at my own hand or someone else's, I could not care less.
Hueveitos, we are all going through it. And I bet on all the money I have that Twitter is going insane, Tumblr is dying, and Fit is either taking a well-deserved break or laughing his ass off at us. Probably both knowing that fucker. The brilliant bitch he is. I apologize for not liveblogging, I was enamored with what was going on. But we all were lol
Anyway, I'm probably gonna listen to the music Fit included in the finale and daydream of better days for q!Fit. Ones where, maybe, in another life, something happened on Madagascar's end where the tech didn't work and Fit was suspended in the QSMP for the rest of his natural life. Maybe Ramon is fine enough and just wondering, looking for Fit in an otherwise empty world. Hell, in another life, Pac waited longer for his American boyfriend. Maybe everyone did. Maybe the kids didn't get sick, maybe they all died a week or so after they were found. Who knows!
But with what we were given, and who we had to spend that time with, I know that I'll always look back on the Qsmp in a similar vein to another sorry sap of a sever I know. The memories will persist, the story will continue to be told. The world will keep spinning, and I will keep writing.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the experience whether it be seen or unseen admin, CC's who somehow found this post on a hellcite, any and all fandom goers that I have stumbled upon in search of solace from the canon, and my girl over discord! I DON'T KNOW YOU AT ALL BUT YOU'VE HELPED ME GET THROUGH THE LAST LEG OF THIS JOURNEY!!
Here's to tomorrow everyone, regardless of what happens! I love this community and I sure as shit hope you guys don't become strangers!

Bonus: Felps Square
@felpacweek for perhaps the final time (ibe got a day to catch up but I might or might not). Bonus round, Felps Square, and me angsting Felps instead of Pac for once <3 dissociation, potentially distressing imagery, you know how it is.
If stars shine over the island but nobody can see them, do the stars really exist at all? Or are they just another of the Federation's fabrications?
The stars can be beautiful over Quesidilla Island, but only if they can be seen. Tonight is not one of those nights; a storm hammers down upon them, with thunder, and lightning, and rain.
Felps does not care; the square is exposed but he keeps digging anyway, collar turned up against the worst of the weather. If anything, the rain is nice, helping to keep the dust from being kicked up and choking him. It is warm, too, a hot summer rain that keeps memories of Ice far, far away. He digs away, hitting the stone again and again as frozen blood and hot rain fight for ownership of his hollow body.
His soul lost the war a long time ago, banished from his flesh and sent far below the earth - now it only remains to be seen in which way nature takes its course.
The ice, or the boil. One of then will claim him, and then Felps, too, will belong to the earth.
So he digs, and he digs, and he digs, the hollow shell of his self a vessel only for the movement, and only for his pick. The ice is slowly melting from warm air and exertion, but slowly, so slowly.
And even if it melts, what will be left behind?
Just he, himself, and him.
Some nights it is easy to ignore the void, other nights he drives himself deeper and deeper still, almost hoping for a lava vein as he tries to either chase himself back into his body, or drown.
Water pools in his hole, covering his feet.
Still he keeps going.
And going.
With a splash, splash, thunk, splash, and a- "Felps!"
He looks up, eyes quickly finding the lantern and the figure carrying it. Only after he has recognised the sodden form as Pac does he notice the way his hands smart with blisters, and how his waterlogged feet object to everything.
Still, he plasters on a smile, and raises a hand in a wave.
Shielding his light from the storm, Pac jogs over. In the short run from the warp he is already soaked through, hood and hair both plastered to his face, and to say nothing of his jeans.
Felps doubts he looks any better - if anything, all his curls will only make the hair flattening look worse.
"Felps!" Pac holds up the lantern, and for a moment the light is too blinding to see his face. "Why are you still out here?!"
Yelling is required to he heard over the screaming wind; Felps had not realised that it was quite that bad. He quickly glances over Pac, concludes that nothing he is wearing is metal - Felps' pick is diamond and so safe from lightning at least - and smiles back.
"Digging!" He replies, ignoring everything that drove him here in the first place. "It's lovely weather for it, right?"
Pac clearly does not believe him, but brushes it aside, "me and Mike, Mike and me... do you want to come over? Cellbit's still busy, and it is kind of... wet. We have hot chocolate!"
Maybe putting warmth into his carcass will help more. Rotten, Cellbit called him once. Felps had responded that he cannot be rotten as his organs are cute, yet with every day Cellbit's words feel more like the truth. Was that why the Federation frozen him? To keep the rot away, just how anyone freezes a too-large slab of meat?
He was dead, and then alive, and maybe his soul is just gone because it was never supposed to come back to his decaying flesh.
Maybe a hot drink could still save him. Maybe a hot drink could break through the ice, charm his soul home without needing his skin to blister and burn, but without reawakening Death as it does.
Maybe, maybe, and it is Pac who asks it of him, but...
But still - the square, the square, the square, the square, the square, the square, the square, the square, the square, the-
He turns back to his progress, and frowns, and says "just let me finish this line."
"Alright," Pac tells him, with a kiss to the cheek that goes barely noticed. "I'll see you soon."
Pac cannot be blamed for fleeing the water. Most people do not need it, not like Felps does.
Three and a half lines later, Felps still has not followed. Behind him comes an ignored flicker of purple, and the sound of heavy boots splashing through the rain.
Just a little more, just a little more, and then Felps finally, finally will be free. He could-
Felps is grabbed by the shoulders, and turned around. No sooner has he identified Pac than a pair of lips slam into his own. Pac's hands and lips feel like burning, a kinder, burning peace after so so long.
His soul still isn't quite right yet, but the sudden change has slammed at least most of it into place; Felps allows the distraction and melts into the kiss.
After not too long Pac pulls away. One hand stays on Felps' shoulder and the other takes Felps' hand, and the only words he says are "come on, Felps, let's get somewhere dry."
Felps soul does not quite fit in to a rotten, frozen body.
It still demands he follow anyway.

pac wakes up in a field of blue flowers, forget-me-nots, he remembers cellbit telling him about them, they mean maily remembrance, but there is also a myth of a man falling in a river and being dragged by the riptide while trying to gather flowers for his loved one
he quirks a smile, who would of thought that the same man who was once called a beast would have such a passion for things as fragile as flowers? he surely didn’t, but he is happy that he did
he gets up, his fingers touch the grass below him, they are quite wet, like it had rain in the night, he doesn't remember falling asleep there, his base in the purgatory was in a cave
his base in the purgatory wasn't anywhere near a field of forget-me-nots, no, there wasn't even a flower field anywhere in the purgatory or in quesadilla island
forget-me-nots meant remembrance, they are a simbol of what remains, a way to keep the memory of the ones that are not here anymore
that's what he was, right? not here, not alive
pac was dead
but he didn't felt dead
no
he felt free, he felt sad, a kind of sadness that he knew quite well, saudades, he didn't knew exactly what he missed, he didn't knew for how long he had being dead, for a start he didn't even knew how he died, at least he didn't felt pain, not that some could feel pain after being dead, but he hoped that he at least went peacifully
he once wish to die holding richas in one hand and fit on the other
he felt a bitter felling on his cheast that things may not have gone this way
luckly he didn't have much time to delve in his sorrow, no, he was busy trying to understand what had jumped on top of him
"PAI"
saying that he was frozen in place would be a euphemism, he was not even breathing, and for some reason he still felt light headed for not doing so even after being dead
"Richas, come on, filho, we don't want to kill him twice"
he heard some one slapping the person who spoke, but he could care less when his son was finally in his arms, holding him tight like he was going to escape
"He is not leaving anywhere, you know that, right?"
he opened his eyes, when had he closed them? he looked up to the face of the man he once called brother, his soulmate, his other half, mike
he tried to speak but only sobs left his mouth, mike was there, not bug eyes, not black cloth, no murderous intentions, just good old mike, still a litlle weird and insane, but he was his mike, and he was there, with him, and he wouldn't leave him, not anymore
he rushed to hug him, keeping richas between them, making a little dragon sandwhich, the kid laugh, oh how he missed his laugh, he laugh too, he cried and laugh, it was a cacophony of sounds, he felt more people joining in the hug, felps, forever, cellbit, they were all there, wet faces and red noses
they stayed like this for a while, tangled legs and arms, a pile of bodies laying in the field just like the old times when they were still living in the favelas on their first days on the island
the old times, they were so far away now, everything was, his memories were staring to get blurry, the good and the bads, but the mist important ones stayed, he remembers mike with a broken glass, he remembers looking at the stars on the roof of the orphanage, he remembers the breaze of fresh air once they escaped the prison, he remembers their adventures in the labs, he remembers the boat, he remembers his son first smile, he remembers the hide and seek games, he remembers giving fit a rose, he remembers
they eventually leave the ground and start walking through the field
he sees others faces, he sees baghera, he sees jaiden and carre, he sees foolish and tina, he sees mouse
he sees the eggs, the old ones and the ones he knew, he sees trumpet finaly in his dads arms, he sees bobby with his mom, he sees juanna and her dad, he sees tilin and their dad, he sees talluah and her dad, he sees leo with her dad, he sees chayanne with his dad, he sees dapper and pomme with their mom, he sees ramon with.. he sees ramon, and ramon sees him, he rushes to him, and he holds him
fit was alive, he thanks the gods for that, but he also wish he was here with them, he knows that this is very selfish of him, but no one can blame him for that, not when most of them wish for the same
for some time he stays there in the flower field, just hugging and crying, he cries so much, he doesn't even care, he doesn't think he ever cried that much, he doesn't know how much time he spent there, hughing his two kids, they where supposed to be two, he was supposed to have two
he had now
time passes diferent when you are dead, he knows that because he sees old friends faces and they say that they didn’t wait long for him, he knows that he will see the people he lost soon, so for now he will wait
he will lay on the field of forget-me-nots, he will hold his sons hands, he will lay his head on the lap of his best friend, and he will wait, that is all he can do now, and he is okay with that

I was thinking of a color and like describing things someone in the server would associate them with, decided that someone would be Pac, then went through the rainbow and then some.
Prism
816 words
Pactw lives in a world of color.
Dipped in a vat of rainbow from the first blink of life.
He does not ever say what his favorite or least favorite shade of the world around him is when asked.
Because sometimes it's red.
Like his heart, like most anyone's heart he supposes, what was most commonly associated with love.
Like the sky looming above them on that other island, the one where they called Watcher took them and made them play games that required winners but none were exactly keen on winning, the place where three children were apparently also waiting and needed looking after.
Like the blood that ran from his leg, or the place it used to be, but was now running along grey stone floors, and in the stubble and along the smiling teeth of the person across him.
Like poppies, his niece's favorite flower, that she handed out to each beloved member of the island and was later placed in a vase or sewn onto backpacks or tucked behind ears.
But it's also orange.
Like the outer petals of his son's favorite flower.
Like prison jumpsuits, the kind he wore in Alcatraz, after he and Mike were a little to reckless and got caught and were lead away and kept behind metal bars until their escape.
It could be yellow.
Like the main color of the jersey his son wore, sitting too big on his tiny and oval body.
Like the halo that sat above Bobby's head, where he stood waiting for his parents and other island residents, behind a wall of glass and inside an all white room the Federation lead them too.
Like the yolk that dripped like blood from the weapon belonging to someone that looked like an employee of Cucorucho, but had a single eye in the center of their face, the body of his niece on the ground nearby.
Like the innertube with features of a duck that sat around the frame of his nephew.
Or sometimes it was green.
Like the numbers on the front of and around the neck and sleeves of his son's jersey.
Like the "moss" that dotted Badboyhalo's back when they got back from Purgatory.
Like Mike's eyes, and the shirt he wore with a creeper on the front, and his soul.
Of course there was also blue.
Like the underside of his hair that was dyed before his date,
Like the flames of which his team were named after on the other island.
Like the hoodie he wore basically every day.
Sometimes it was purple.
Like the particles that surrounded a person when they used a warpstone.
Like the veins that glowed and pulsed along the inky wings of Philza.
Like the almost translucent portal encased in obsidian that no one was allowed to go through, except the president one time, and he came back wrong.
Like the mushroom hat with white polka dots his niece liked to wear.
There was also pink.
Like Mine, the partner of his soulmate, of her eyes and hair.
Like the color of the pills, that were flavorless and tasted more artificial than anything, from the bottle with a smiley face he held in his fist.
Like the almost certain blush on the apples of his cheeks as he lifted and hid his face in the collar of his shirt at being asked to go do a dungeon, just the two of them, sort of like a date.
But it could also be brown.
Like his own eyes.
Like the leather band of his second son's goggles that sat around the top of his head.
Like the crates on the cargo ship that sat along the side that brought him and his companions to the island.
Like Cell's hair, who had since added a second syllable to his name, but it still hung kind of curly and in his face the same as prison.
Like Fit's favorite tee shirt.
Or sometimes it was black.
Like his own hair.
Like the blocks of concrete left behind in the place of children, along with notes of worry and love, and blurry pictures, dotting the land like weeds.
Like the ten and a half pairs of legs and feet running around giggling and needing cookies.
And it was white.
Like the shine of Badboyhalo's eyes since his revival.
Like that stupid bear and their stupid employees and the stupid walls and floors of the buildings they worked in.
Like the bottle of pills that sat in a locked briefcase, and his hoodie and pants which had been replaced, and the teeth of the too wide to be honest smiles that he and the president shared.
Like the shells of his children and nieces and nephews.
Pactw lived in a world of color.
He liked and disliked each shade for their own respective reason.
But his world never lacked.

Huh.
So, ended up starting to flit between some different povs around the Pac e Mike arrest just to understand what happened leading up to it and currently watching Foolish's pov, and I didn't realise?? It happened immediately after the Dinner?? Hello???? The man was literally hugging it out with them and then got teleported??? Jeez
Also it's very interesting to me! As someone that hadn't really watched that closely to the events until recently, to see how Foolish and Cellbit sort of navigated the interrogation? Foolish was REALLY trying his best to not show his hand too much. He tried to avoid saying what happened, or imply something specific that is far from the truth of the matter. He doesn't like to lie, but he's not sure if he can exactly say the truth either.
However...to say that Foolish doesn't exactly lie isn't quite accurate either. He would only do it for a purpose, it seems, and looking at recent streams, it's mostly trying to cover for Cellbit. Which I think is kind of heart-warming, but sort of interesting too because I wonder when that shift happened and why.
If I read correctly, the Cellbit and Roier wedding happened the month before the interrogation, and only recently now had Foolish been more forthright with Cellbit about his plans and intentions, trying to clue him in, trying to get him to understand he has back his back.
I need to watch more Foolish vods and streams, but it's really fun how he uses his words to confuse and mislead.
