to let you know how things are going, I woke up still feeling really depressed and jittery so I decided to go for a walk and take photos of the woods in the fog. but when I was on the back porch taking photos, I wasn't paying attention and I accidentally stepped on a slug. I love the banana slugs, and I felt so bad that I cried and just ended up going back inside.

so uh. still not doing so hot.

Damn. I was supposed to be staying with my friends for a short time before my trip and a short time after too. Jetlag and what have you. Several days couldn't be helped, but it's ended up a week and a half. I only just finished airing out my suitcase. It's fine, they say, but I constantly sense a tipping point and feel like a parasite besides for extending my stay.

I've been meaning to make a post about for a while, so I guess this ask is a good opportunity.

TL;DR I haven't felt inspired to write anything Maasverse related in months. The latter half of 2023 and all of 2024 so far have been horrendous for me IRL and I don't have the mental bandwidth for much else beyond getting by.

The second half of LFSWDTB is outlined to completion. Unfortunately HOFAS disappointed me to the point where canon killed my drive to write for the moment.

I'm incredibly grateful for the friends and community I've gathered from this fandom--I just don't have the spoons (don't like that term but idk what else to call it) to write at the moment :/

I think I accidentally gave my neighbor food poisoning one time. She asked if I had any fish because she needed it for a recipe and she's a single mom who was unemployed so has a lot of needs and not a lot of means.

Anyway. I'm vegetarian, for the most part. All I had was the tuna for my cats. It's the same tune of people eat and I get it at the grocery store. However the key difference is that I keep it out and not in the fridge.

I gave her fish that had been out at room temperature for several days, probably not thinking it through all the way because I was just eager to help and brushed it off as a fleeting anxious thought.

She and her daughter went to the hospital 😭 and I'm going to hell
