asahi's voice drama is here, yay!! i am so scared for him, but also.. yeah, he can be kinda annoying.

okay, so just like i did with naomi, i didn't want to make his voice drama "too mysterious", because his victim is pretty obvious if you read his voicelines and mv description. it will reveal some new information about him and his relationship with the victim.. and something else too.

(just a note: as it was said in his profile, other prisoners can often hear asahi talking to himself, though it actually sounds like he's talking to someone else. i just wanted to explain that it's not him seeing hallucinations or anything like that though asahi is definitely not the most sane prisoner, but it's more like.. asahi created an imaginary friend to cope with everything that's been happening to him, though he can really see and hear them, but it's more because he's simply a child with an active imagination. and when you read his vd, this will actually sound.. very sad 😔

also, yes, i know his profile says that he doesn't talk much about his crime and he's very calm about it, meanwhile in this vd he almost proudly acknowledges that he did murder someone, while still claiming that he's not the bad guy here.. i realized that i like this version better when i actually started writing for him! but yes, he still doesn't remember some details of his crime that well or he just doesn't want to remember them.)

Speaking of that, is that whole "glenwood called to me" thing, something rooted in magic? Is it orchestrated, is it just things coming together coincidentally? Or things falling into place through some force.

I know you mentioned collabs in your q&a and, I won't rush you cause that's pretty daunting. But- have you considered who you'd want to voice Simon? I know that there's probably other characters who may show up in the future but, Simon is so cool and I would love to see who you envision playing him if you ever push through with a collab in the future.

1. She’s actually very good at keeping up with the world, it’s just the digital age that’s been so quick, plus the rest of the vamps saving her from the internet. Celine’s a collector by nature so she had every tamagotchi

2. Evie worked as a math tutor and at a grocery store to pay the rent, but now she’s on the pack’s payroll helping maintain the finances for the whole operation.

3. Rose is a sci-fi/fantasy reader and she most certainly knows all about that secret shelf in the back! Her favorite series is the original John Carter books, her most recent read was “The Fifth Season” by N.K. Jemisin

4. Ro is their full chosen name! They no longer go by their deadname and the whole pack has moved on from using it. All the paperwork was to simply make the change official on all their legal documents!

I always imagine Simon as just a brick wall of a man (think Sig Curtis from FMAB or Massimo from Luca) so I’d love to find a voice that fits that image. No VA’s immediately come to mind but I also wouldn’t want to put any pressure on any creator mentioned.

I had training this morning (i do ballroom dancing but like more or less casually, no competitions or anything)(also i just scrolled through the countdown anon tag for half an hour bc i couldnt remember whether you know that about me yet, but i've decided you get to know now lmao) (also its interesting to see who interacts with the posts of you answering my asks)

Anyway i had dance training in the morning, and then i got home and finally got something done for that group project, and i had a ball from dance in the evening. I help out in beginner courses and it was a "end of course" ball, and the training is for extra performance dances that I do with a group during breaks, which i did today. I'm pretty tired you'd think i'd be sleeping by now but no.

Also i found out a friend of mine is pregnant!! I got to find out before most of the others bc they're being told by her husband next week, it's so cool. (I wasn't expecting it so i just stood there like 😱🙆🏻 😭, and that's on me and reactions) (this makes me seem old that i have friends who are pregnant get me out of here they're at least 5 years older i'm not sure actually dw i'm not that old🧍🏻‍♂️i'm only a year older than you 😔 before someone thinks i'm a weird creep for interacting with you 🧍🏻‍♂️) (this is getting way too long again but like i have this gag about being very vague about my age on my blog (is it a gag if its funny for exclusively me probably) but you (and your 1.5k followers) get to know bc you don't know much else i don't want to come off as weird 😔)

But my day was fine. We had PE and our teacher forced us to do some workout, so… just waiting until my whole body starts to hurt… and then we had two hours of Music, so we practiced some Christmas songs that we will be playing next week in a home for the disabled, and then the week after in our school gym for everyone to hear. Naturally, I, as someone who has played the recorder for about 11 years, am very proud of my skills (I'm not good actually, I just can read notes pretty well), so the teacher immediately roped me into participating in both of these events :')

I am sorry @thegirlfromstationsquare but I don't really agree with these points about Chris and I'd like to explain my thoughts about that and why but first of all, I want you guys to know that I am not saying this because I like Chris, I am aware of his strengths and flaws and that like all of you, these are my thoughts and please forgive me if there may be some grammatical errors but I am native Italian and sometimes there can be a language barrier 😔.

1) In the fighting tournament it was never said that you couldn't use some tricks and in fact Rouge used the charm to win against Tails, that is also unfairness then from this point of view though, Chris didn't do that because he wanted to be unfair but because he wanted to know what it felt like to be a " bad guy" is he didn't like it at all which means it's not really in his nature to be unfair, he gets hurt right away moreover who in our childhood or adolescence never tried to do something not in our nature 🤣?

2) In the party episode I agree that he should have been more gentle but he is not wrong. Not only has he not seen his parents for months but the mother comes and immediately leaves first saying she came to be with him and then he can't give up for this one time a scene that someone else younger could make? You say you want to be with your son and that you are sorry but once again you are neglecting him for your own success and to me that sounds very hypocritical. Also, Cream cannot put herself on the same emotional level as Chris because compared to him, she has never suffered from neglect and her mother has always been there from an early age while Chris has been neglected since he was 3 years old and his parents hardly ever saw them. He never said that he is not proud of what they do, but it is also not correct that you are not even 5 minutes or a whole day at home.

3) I think this confirms the fact that the anime and the comic book adaptation of X, do not always match because Chris, in the comic book, has known Helen and the others since he was 6 years old so it would not be difficult for him to remember Helen. In all likelihood Helen in the series, she is a new transfer student who has just moved in and that maybe Chris hasn't had much time to get to know her not because he didn't want to not care, and these things happen in real life too.

4) I remember that scene and I don't deny that it left me stunned to see Chris break down like that and I'm not saying he was right to yell at them but I want to remember that he is a disappointed boy, and neglected affectively, by the thousands of broken promises from those he cares about most for that reason I think that was the reason he said they were lying to him. How many times were they lying to him that they would come back but it never happened? Or that they would stay a little longer? Was it wrong for him to collapse like that? Yes and no, yes because by collapsing like that his judgment was clouded but at the same time no because in the end, Chuck understood him by letting us know that the reaction he had was not irrational, stating right afterwards that what Chris is feeling he is feeling himself. Chris is not a possessive guy, he doesn't regard Sonic as a pet but as his first real best friend, the only person who has shown him that he really cares about him that even if he leaves...he comes back, he cares how he is, what he wants to do etc...he is attached to Sonic not out of possession or obsession, also because Chris isn't a possessive and obsessive person, but because he really cares about him and others. And I give an example: when two lovers do not want to separate for so many reasons (family, a country at war etc...) they react the same way or worse, however, trying to find another solution or the real culprit of the forced separation.

5) Same thing for point four only in this scene Chris was blaming Eggman but not because it is actually his fault (or rather it is but unintentional) but at that moment his judgment was clouded by grief and he was behaving in a way that is not like him i.e. childish and selfish, Eggman himself points out to him that it is not like him to behave like that reminding him also, that both he and Sonic have always interfered with his plans thus giving us evidence that Eggman is aware of how strong they are together and he thought that Sonic's influence had made him more " tolerant if such a situation arose " however apparently he had underestimated both the situation and the boy's suffering or rather, Eggman is somewhat aware of his suffering but he had to be tough on him to make him understand that doing it this way, letting feelings cloud your judgment by ending up blaming those who have nothing to do with it (unintentionally) doesn't lead to anything good and as Chuck said earlier: Chris knows it is the truth, but he is still looking for answers. Not someone to blame, but answers and most likely another solution.

6)Reading the portal point I understood which episode you were referring to but that was not the case. Chris at that time had not taken the chaos emeralds to sabotage their return (technically it was Knuckles letting himself be tricked by Eggman) but he wanted to help them return home by relying on Eggman who then tricked them both. True, in the final part Chris had another meltdown but as I said before, he is a guy who is hurting and does not want to lose the one person who really showed he cared about him. His breakdown is not irrational or makes him a person to be condemned, but instead makes him a person who is hurting and on the inside asking for help and not to leave him alone yet...being left alone and neglected since you are a child leaves a lot of wounds unfortunately. As Mr.Stewart had then pointed out in the previous episode, there are two Chris: one wants to help them and the other does not want to lose his new friends but the latter knows that sooner or later they will have to go back home and so they both condemn each other. Chris in fact always intended to help them, as shown even in the very first episodes, but in the beginning he thought they were like his parents: they come and go quickly, only to be shown that this was not the case. Chris has a very deep inner conflict within him with added fear of experiencing loneliness again and going back to suffering. This conflict explodes at the end of the final episodes of the second season however I do not see it as an act that he wanted to condemn the die planets, which turns out in the English adaptation that he has no intention of doing so because it would not be right, but as an act of: " come with me we have to talk" it is not that he held Sonic hostage, in fact he was free to decide to leave whenever he wanted, but he decided of his own free will to follow him because he knew or rather he felt that they had to talk and true there was a moment of surprise and he took him with him but Sonic could also very well say no or do something else however, as I said before, both Sonic and Chris had to talk and only the person concerned could help Chris to understand not to condemn himself and that reluctantly and against desire, he had to leave.

7) For the point of the portal it is not an act of obsession but a gesture of: " I want to hug my friends again after a long time" anyone even in real life when they haven't seen someone for a long time has the desire to see each other again and keep in touch, it is not always so is true but I think a good portion of people do. Also the fact that he left his friends behind in the end is not a selfish act for evil's sake but one of the most sincere forms of love and as well because he is aware that it was still an experiment and as such it could be dangerous, let's say his friends were present and in trying to stop him a fight would be created, anything could happen from: explosions, they would go through the portal but they would not end up in Sonic's planet but in one that there was no breathable air etc...it wasn't a selfish gesture for evil's sake but it was that " selfish" gesture of caring like when a mother doesn't allow her son to be out with his friends for a while longer : she knows that he wants to stay and have some more fun , but she is aware that her son is not yet ready to be out that long. In practice, he would literally use himself as a guinea pig for the experiment rather than his friends, also apologizing for not notifying them knowing they wanted to come but he "overruled" that desire of theirs out of protection not selfishness.

I hope I haven't bothered you, and the same goes for you guys and Verte's , and I thank you in advance for understanding because of the fact that I am native italian and then isn't always too much easy for me writing this long texts in english 😔.

Did I forget that he was so desperate in his utter selfishness to keep Sonic all to himself like a possession rather than a person with independent thoughts and a life, he not only called everyone (Including a specialist) liars (Didn’t know you were a leading expert on time-space physics Thorndyke)…;

But also attempted to scapegoat Dr Eggman;

…and then ran off like a little bitch wangsting about how everyone’s lying to him when the VILLAIN Dr Eggman called him out on his shit;

…then shut down the portal at the last second, separating Sonic from his other friends and being all too happy to condemn the world and it’s citizens to being frozen in time;

It’s then revealed in the next season that even 6 years on, he’s still a selfish, dangerously obsessive little turdshit who spent the aforementioned 6 years revolving his life around getting back to Sonic’s world and little else;

…even whilst knowing how extremely dangerous it is. Which is why he left without a word to prevent anyone else quite rightly preventing him from doing so;

Thanks for coming to my TED talk on why Christopher Thorndyke is singularly the worst, most detestable Sonic character in existence. And no, the fact that for some of these he expresses regret later does not vindicate the character or make his actions OK.

Like, Awesome Husband would not have his career without C. C hired him. (If you all don't know, Awesome Husband works for a JPL subsidiary manufacturing lab - like, where they *manufacture* the sensors etc that get put onto the shiny space things; Awesome Husband actually works in the IT department, so he is, as he puts it, in charge of keeping the internet/everything online running so the actual engineers can do *their* jobs, which I think is underestimating what *he* does, but anyway) (he also says please don't ask him about what the projects actually are, he just makes sure the lab is all internally humming along)

Anyway. C was the person who hired Awesome Husband. Who gave him his first real job, not an internship, which he'd had before.

We've been to C's twins' birthday parties. We went to Disneyland with him and his family...in like, 2019, the most recent time, pre-pandemic. C and his boyfriend at the time - not the one he married! and then divorced! we were at his wedding, too, and there for the divorce issues! - were at our wedding. (Yeah, it was a ride. There is some...tea...there, but not the point here.)

We were...less in touch on an everyday basis...after C left to start his own company, but Awesome Husband did some consulting work for them (actually, I did too! as a proofreader!), so we still, y'know - like I said above, we did Disneyland with him and his kids in 2019.

It's just. It's one of those things that. We thought - hey, we haven't got together in a while, of course, pandemic and all, but of course we will, of course -

And then he was in the hospital, and then we thought he'd be coming home - he posted optimistic social media things about being home for Father's Day! - and then, literally the day after that post -

As Awesome Husband said yesterday, it doesn't feel real yet. We weren't in, like, daily contact, anymore - so it's just this surreal feeling, like, we won't....ever?....get to?...anymore? ever again? like, we can't go, oh, it's been ages, can we meet up at Downtown Disney? we can't? do that?

I don't know. Awesome Husband said the worst part was having to tell his work colleagues, who, y'know, remember C before he left to start his company. AH had to tell the people who had kinda lost contact but had known C for like ten years. And he just had to...keep telling people, all day.

(Side note: the twins are with C's cousin, who was basically his sister - he was an only child, but close with her)

I...I don't even know how to end this post, honestly. I'm still doing all my daily life and job things - summer classes, and I am teaching my Monsters class - start tomorrow, or today if it's the 21st where you are - I've got two overdue book reviews, scholarly speaking -
