Find A Song about paranoia and impending doom
Energy Whores - Bunker Man
Musically, Bunker Man represents a seamless blend of progressive electronic sounds and the poetic, narrative lyricism that defines the band’s discography. Energy Whores have long been celebrated for pairing their music with the mood of the stories they wish to tell, experimenting with everything from cutting-edge electronic arrangements to innovative twists on more traditional forms. For this track, the result is a soundscape that feels urgent and tense, perfectly mirroring the themes of paranoia and impending doom. Yet, despite its heavy message, the song retains an infectious energy, making it as danceable as it is thought-provoking. The band’s ability to balance dark, dystopian themes with an undercurrent of vitality and optimism sets Bunker Man apart. “Dance and enjoy your life now while you still can,” they urge listeners, pointing to the growing prevalence of unrelenting narcissists intent on ruling the world without concern for others. By juxtaposing the grim realities of power and greed with the joy of living fully in the moment, Energy Whores deliver a nuanced message: the time to reflect, connect, and act is now.

Been thinking about my old fakemons and what good good pubbies they are.
Cerbernard's barrel is full of aged berry juice that works as a Full Heal for lost and injured mountaineers. Berrel's barrel is full of Berrel.

There's just something about Floyd being unhinged in fics that just gets me.
Like yes he gets portrayed as a sweet frail uwu boi most of the time, which is also niceee and all, and would also suit his sensitive title. But then there are fics where Floyd is absolutely off the rails at times; where Floyd is nearing losing his voice being the loudest in a shouting match, where Floyd nearly bites someone's head off in anger, where Floyd tries to sneak out of his room multiple times even when his body still very much recovering from greeting his grandma, where Floyd wrestles with his brother on the floor because he's about to do impulsive sht for the people he cares about, fics where Floyd absolutely LOSES HIS SHIT
And the best part is that none of it is out of character for him at all. In fact, it'd cement his title as the sensitive one even more. Being sensitive isn't just about sad and mopey. Sometimes its about being nuts, and paranoid, and being impulsive when your loved ones are in danger and being so so angry that you'd yell and cry from the frustration. Not that he's always feral and wild- because he's def the one to mediate most of the time, but in situations where his loved ones are in danger, I just love when he's unapologetically emotional in every aspect about it, when he's sobbing and yelling without abandon.
There's something about Floyd in fics letting his emotions speak in such a powerful, feral way that gets me.

We’ve talked about how interesting an interaction between my cubone hero for Rescue Team and Twig could be, what with their experiences with maternal figures in their lives. I’ve had an idea for another interaction gnawing away at my brain for the past day, along with this fact: Gengar’s age during the pre-game is never stated, and his actions leading up to the curse always read as a mischievous young teen’s behavior to me.

I was struck this morning by such an intense wave of nostalgia for that period where GF was airing, when it finished and when the journal came out, and how all the Ford fans just had this little cave of solace that we all shared. Everyone loved him so passionately and everyone enjoyed interacting with each other and sharing stuff.
It genuinely kept me alive at the time when my life was skirting so close to the themes of the show and I really miss it. I know, I know, I sound like an old boomer (I am) but it really is such a special, fond memory.

Okay Okay Okay I just saw a post where Dean (16) made Sam (12) breakfast and it was a pancake with an egg and bacon face and Sam went ‘I’m a bit too old for breakfast faces don’t you think?’ and now I’m thinking about Sam watching Dean cook in the bunker and like, Claire and Cas or Charlie are over and he makes them all breakfast and everyone gets a breakfast face except for Sam and it just suddenly hits him and he might just be kind of jealous, in the way your four year old kid will get jealous if you spend too long cooing over another child and Dean notices that Sam’s sort of just pushing his food around and he’s NOT pouting, no sir, and he elbows him and raises an eyebrow and it means ‘are you good?’ And Sam. Sam can’t tell him he’s upset because Dean stopped making him breakfast faces after he said he was too old for them AGES ago, that’s just stupid and dumb, but his eyes do flash over to the other plates.
And look, Dean knows his brother. Maybe not faultlessly, maybe not always in the things that are big or world saving, they’re still just people and they fuck up, but he knows his brother in the ways that matter, and the next morning, Sam walks into the kitchen and Dean smiles, gives him a cup of coffee and Sam murmurs a Thanks, it’s just the two of them because they wake up ridiculously early due to trauma, insomnia and just straight up habit and Dean is humming a soft rock song under his breath. Sam’s shoulders drop just a fraction and he holds the coffee mug in his hands and enjoys the warmth and he breathes deeply, something soft settling in his chest at the domesticity, fammiliarity, the unspoken love floating around in the air in the form of the smell of coffee and a cooking breakfast. And Dean places a bowl of oatmeal in front of him and it has a blueberry smile and banana eyes and a Single almond as a nose and two drops of maple syrup for cheeks and nothing else matters.

"Ozai is just a shallow villain."
I see this argument far too often, so let me put this one in the ground once and for all and explain why Ozai is one of the Greatest Big Bads of All Time...and I'm going to do it with just one shot.
Tumblr media
First, before anything else: appreciate the animation here. Not sure who the animator was, but I believe JM studios worked on this, so shout-out to that company and its fine animators!
But now...analysis!
In this moment, right here, Ozai literally burns away any genuine arguments that he is anything less than Him. Yes, just a few hours ago, he was blustering about how he is now "The Phoenix King". Yes, a month or so ago, he held a meeting just to proclaim to all of his advisors and children how he would become the Supreme Ruler of All the World. Yes, he's an egotistical, genocidal lunatic with one of the biggest god complexes ever put to screen.
But then...he sees Aang. The Avatar attacks his airship, knocking it out of the sky. And that's when Ozai snaps out of his power fantasy and becomes the Final Boss.
He doesn't hesitate for a second. The trappings he'd dreamed of wearing for so long, the fine clothes he adorned himself with for the occasion today...he pulls them from his body. The ornate cloak of the Phoenix King, the freshly made symbol of his power...he burns it. He discarded his crown, and already shed his (ridiculous) helmet when he realized that it would hinder him on his mission--so now he's just a man.
In an instant, Phoenix King Ozai has shed himself not only of his cumbersome garments, but of any pretense that he needs anything but himself to show his power.
And that is only the first part!
He does not look around for help. He does not order his crew to follow him from the ship; there is no cry of "Seize him!" He does not turn to minions, or secondary schemes, or even seize a weapon (there is none more potent than him right now). He calls fire from his own hands, and leaps down to enter the battle himself.
He does not curse the ruination of his scheme. He does not tell anyone to bear witness. In this moment, Ozai has one purpose, and that is to kill the one person in the world who can challenge him, the legend that the Fire Nation has feared since the days of Firelord Sozin: the Last Airbender.
All it took was for Ozai to see this challenger, and he descended onto the field of battle himself. He had no interest in backup, no need for witnesses to his glory: he had one task in mind, and he was going to do it.
