"his head is designed to be as expressive as possible just through manipulating one hand already held in a fairly particular position. The slightest shift of the fingers can convey complex emotions like embarrassed horror or fond exasperation. We've all seen him do it. We can all recognize what Kermit is feeling even without the sound on. And he (by which I mean the puppeteer) does it without even being able to close his eyes. It's really remarkable actually."
