Ooh. I'm a little late for this one, I suppose, but hey, here's a few good fic writers and some possible suggestions:
@siancore is wonderful. I believe Sian's put out a fic recently that's a time travel AU called Ashes & Dreams, though I believe people are huge fans of The Boys of Summer.
@jemgirl86 is awesome. (Secret) Santa Baby is Shana's most recent fic, but I hear What’s the 411? is pretty beloved.
@abarbaricyalp is fantastic. Red Right Hand is an amazing western AU and Last Christmas (I Gave You My Heart) This Year... is a pretty great holiday fic.
@questinwitchface is marvelous. Pet Names is one people love and Cinnamon-Brown Sugar Coffee Creamer is a good one that also talks about Sam's past relationships.
@runzu is amazing. Ru's Double Trouble Series is great and I feel like the demi rep in Romance in Everything is spot on.
@bisamwilson is fabulous. Mak's Princess Diaries AU series, hey princess, comes highly recommended and I know people love you were an army officer, and i just a rockette.
@six2vii is spectacular. Anything from their Couch Sessions series is fantastic.
@funsized-loser makes superb podfics. Cee recent podfics include @glittercake's [podfic] way too well (fic here) and very kindly one of my own fics, [podfic] Your Very Own Christmas (fic here).
Every single SamBucky fic writer I love isn't on here and you should dip into like Samtembers and SamBucky Library events that have gone on and look at other lists from other people too, but idk, they're all good ones.
I suppose I should put my hat in the ring too, since I'm a fic writer 😂 While you can probably peruse my Table of Contents at your leisure, I'm probably best known for The Bucky Quest Saga or Golden is the Sun. If you want a shorter spiel, though, I suggest Buffy Burnes Ph.D. the Scientific Illustrator Roommate or That's Not A Goose! 😂
Hey, you
I need your favorite sambucky fanfic. The one you can read a thousand times, the one that took a special place in your heart. Written by you or not, finished or not.
Gimme something so I can feel alive again. Please??

All my Faves are Dead
I’m feeling suuuuper ill rn and thus have decided to reveal my curse to the world:
All my favorite characters die. Usually within the first act and/or within 15 minutes of me realising they’re my fave. My partner never lets me live this down.
I am compiling a list of them below the cut because A. spoilers for more stuff than I can possibly tag and B. it’s loooooong
Sitka, Brother Bear
Mr. Arrow, Treasure Planet
Tadashi, Big Hero 6
King Harrow, the Dragon Prince
Tala, Moana
Benja, Raya and the Last Dragon
Ellie, Up
Casita, Encanto
Tarzan’s parents, Tarzan
Koro-Sensei, Assassination Classroom
Mel, Lost Song
Yugiri, Zombieland Saga

Aaaaaaand that’s where my braincell peters out because apparently I accidentally deleted my list XD Who knows, maybe I’ll add more later as they come to me
All drawings taken from the official Wikis
#This is excluding a tonne of stuff I started watching/reading and made a fave#and then got suuuuper bad vibes so I googled if they died#and they did. So I just.... never picked it back up XD#It's also frustrating when my faves are literally the only characters that die :''')#but also pretty funny when like the whole cast is dead#and/or when it suddenly becomes unclear what death even Means#Oh and I'm also not including ones where the character was my favorite within the show/movie/book but not lieka Favorite favorite#like faves by default kinda thing#If I ha to pick a fave#oh and there's always characters who like Would've for sure been my fave if they'd had more than 3 minutes of screentime before death XD#all my faves are dead

Marvel’s What If…? Episode 1 Review: Peggy Carter Changes MCU History
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
This review contains spoilers for What If…? episode 1.
What If…? is the latest Marvel Studios small screen project to arrive on Disney+ after much fanfare. The animated anthology show, created by Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia writer A.C. Bradley and Marvel storyboard vet Bryan Andrews, aims to explore alternate timelines in the MCU multiverse. In order to fully grasp the basic premise of What If…? as a whole it helps to have watched Marvel’s Loki, which recently introduced the multiverse to the MCU.
What If…? episode 1, “What If… Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?,” focuses on a (mainly) WWII-era version of Peggy Carter who made a key alternate choice that affected the creation of Captain America in a major way.
It’s a fun episode! Your mileage may vary depending on how much you love Peggy Carter, but since I love her a whole lot I had a good time watching this. The main downside, I suspect, to any of these installments, is that they’re inherently redundant. As far as we know, none of the fantastical concepts here will bleed into the live-action MCU. But if you’re here for a good time and not a long time, What If…? should make for a neat weekly diversion.
Our What If…? reviews are going to adopt a different format. More of a “breakdown” that we hope will still satisfy regular readers but also help younger viewers and those less familiar with the MCU keep up.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at “What If… Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?”
Required viewing
In terms of understanding the central characters and how things changed inside the branch timeline featured in this first episode, we would recommend revisiting Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter, and the opening act of The Avengers. If you’re on a full Peggy Carter binge, why not add both seasons of ABC’s live-action Agent Carter series to your watchlist, too?
What’s different?
This episode explored what would have happened if Steve Rogers was unable to take the super soldier serum during World War II and Peggy Carter volunteered to become Dr. Abraham Erskine’s lab rat instead.
Peggy’s “what if…?” was deciding to stand her ground and stay in the room while the serum was administered during the iconic transformation sequence featured in Captain America: The First Avenger. She then had a chance to intervene in the Hydra bombing, but Steve got caught up in the action and was subsequently shot.
With time running out to perform the super soldier process, Peggy jumped into the machine and went on to become Captain Carter, having all the physical powers of Captain America along with a different costume and an altered shield with a Union Jack at its center.
Steve was badly injured and had to undergo intense physiotherapy while Peggy trained to be the best she could be. Their relationship blossomed and, thanks to Howard Stark, Steve took on the role of her sidekick in a Tesseract-powered Hydra Stomper – basically an early version of the Iron Man suit. Meanwhile, Peggy faced interference from Colonel John Flynn, who was regularly on hand to pour out a stream of misogyny regarding her place in the fight.
In a familiar First Avenger train sequence, Peggy went on an altered mission with Steve, Bucky Barnes and the Howling Commandos to take out the Red Skull, however it was Steve who ended up falling from the train in this timeline and not Bucky, so it stands to reason that Bucky wouldn’t then go on to become the Winter Soldier.
Other more minor changes include Peggy probably not making out with her own niece during any Civil War shenanigans in the future – and please do not direct me to any fan art depicting that scenario in the comments, I beg you.
In the end, the Red Skull used the Tesseract to summon a tentacled “champion of Hydra” and Peggy had to sacrifice herself to push it back back into the space portal from whence it came. She emerged from the portal pre-The Avengers’ Battle of New York.
Who are the voices?
Jeffrey Wright plays the show’s narrator, Uatu The Watcher, and he’ll be here for every episode.
Returning to voice their characters from Captain America: The First Avenger were Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Neal McDonough as Dum Dum Dugan, Toby Jones as Arnim Zola, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and Stanley Tucci as Dr. Abraham Erskine. Other MCU actors joining in were Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Ross Marquand as the Red Skull, reprising his role from Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame.
Bradley Whitford may seem like a new addition as the arrogant Colonel John Flynn, but he previously portrayed the character in the live-action Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter released back in 2013, so even in the Sacred Timeline Flynn continued to be a thorn in Peggy’s side for quite a while.
The elephant in the room here is Steve Rogers. Chris Evans did not add his voice to the What If…? mix, so it was up to Marvel animation alum Josh Keaton to stand in for Evans, and he honestly did a really good job of it all things considered.
Standout moments
I gotta say it was truly wild for me to witness Captain Carter have adventures onscreen at all! It was obviously great to see Peggy kicking ass with her enhanced strength – the serum only beefed up her already brave and competent nature – but this version of the character has something of a unique origin, having been concocted as a kind of throwaway addition to the match-3 game Marvel Puzzle Quest in 2016. A couple of years later, Saladin Ahmed added her to the pages of Marvel Comics in Exiles #3, and it clearly didn’t take Marvel Studios long to figure out how to apply the enthusiastic Captain Carter fan response to an MCU project.
Peggy riding Steve’s Iron Man-esque Hydra Stomper into a dogfight during the WWII montage sequence was a delight, frankly. The animation in most of the fighting sequences was terrific and really took golden opportunities to reach for the kind of punching, kicking, shield-throwing ballet that the live-action format could never quite achieve with its restrictions of reality.
I found myself slowly warming to What If…?’s animation style, which I probably still wouldn’t describe as my favorite if I’m honest. I love the What If? comics, and this series felt like an opportunity to really push the weirdness envelope a little more. You only have to look at what Netflix accomplished with its anthology series Love, Death & Robots to see how differently a What If? series that embraced other styles and voices could have gone, but I grew up on Saturday morning cartoons, stop motion, Fantastic Planet, and Heavy Metal, so forgive me for briefly imagining the possibilities of this project in a wilder sense.
One of the oddest standout moments for me was when the episode subverted my expectations somewhat. After Steve was seemingly killed during the train heist, I thought the creators of the show were all set to explore him becoming the Winter Soldier, and I have to admit the idea intrigued me a little! However, it didn’t go down like that, and I was left to mentally wander down a different “what if…?” rabbit hole alone.
How does it work out?
In the future, Nick Fury used the Tesseract to transport Peggy back from wherever she ended up after she entered the portal, and it looks like she joined the Infinity Saga-era Avengers Initiative in Steve’s place. Whether it all worked out well for this episode’s specific MCU timeline remains to be seen, but it would be really fun to see if Agent Coulson had a pack of Captain Carter trading cards!
More to come
Episode 1 played like a pilot for an ongoing Captain Carter series for good reason: What If…? has been confirmed to include at least one Peggy Carter installment in every season going forwards.
“A lot of the season one episodes are riffing off certain points in the cinematic universe and maybe even delving in a certain phase, but we need to expand and explore more things, so we had to come up with other ideas that were a little further down the timeline,” director Bryan Andrews told us, later adding “Peggy Carter is pretty awesome; Captain Carter is pretty awesome, we’d love to see more of her.”
Marvel’s What If…? is now streaming weekly on Disney+ every Wednesday.
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });

Chapter Thirty: Falling Down
Goddessvicky / QueenVee1
Warnings: Graphic Depictions of Violence Rating: Explicit - For all the swears and smut Relationships: Steve Rogers/Bucky Barnes, Bucky Barnes/Darcy Lewis, Steve Rogers/Darcy Lewis, Bucky Barnes/Darcy Lewis/Steve Rogers
In the weeks since she’d started seeing Zeke, Darcy had found herself endlessly amused by this utter lack of popular knowledge. Yes, he knew that The Hunger Games was a book and a movie, but he’d neither read the book nor seen the film. The same went for Harry Potter, the Alien saga, and one of her favorite movies, Major League. Things that Darcy could look back on with fond memories meant absolutely nothing to him.
She delighted in telling him about the things he’d missed during his quest to be the best engineer in the world, enjoying the faces he made when she explained some of the weirder bits of useless trivia that knocked around her head.
Jimmy Buffet played the ‘margarita guy’ in Jurassic World.
‘Washington’ is the most common name used in cities and towns. ‘Springfield’ is number two, and a Springfield can be found in forty-one different states.
Spiders hate the smell of peppermint.
Other than her self-imposed mission of pop culture downloading, Darcy discovered she actually really liked Zeke. He was sweet, and soft, and never made her feel like she was talking too much. She had a bad habit of dominating a conversation, but it appeared he either didn’t mind… or was more than happy to let her do the majority of the talking.
When he did talk, Zeke was captivating. She’d already known his enjoyment of flowers could be traced to his mother, but he’d elaborated and explained that his father had been the one who’d lit the engineering fire in his chest.
“He valued knowledge, and knew how to wield it effectively. It made him a great businessman,” Zeke explained. “He had a lot of good ideas about how to move the world into a new age of technology, but never had the chance to make it happen.”
Darcy’s face took on an empathetic expression. “He passed?”
Zeke nodded softly. “Murder. In 2008.”
The heartfelt gasp broke free from her chest, and Darcy’s eyes filled with compassion. “Oh, god, I’m so sorry, Zeke.”
“It’s okay. It’s been long enough that I use it for fuel more than anything. It keeps me going. Before I make any big decisions, I think ‘what would dad have done?’ He hasn’t steered me wrong yet.”
“What kind of big decisions?”
“Asking you on a date.”
Darcy’s grin widened when he blinked those gorgeous blue eyes at her. “Yeah? I got your dad’s seal of approval?”
“Without a doubt.”
“And if he’d thought I wasn’t worth the trouble?”
“... we’d have had words about our difference of opinion.”
Dinner was still sitting warmly in her stomach - as were three margaritas - but she still managed to find room for some peanut butter M&Ms. She followed behind Zeke as he found their seats in the half-empty movie theater. The leather seats were electric, and she couldn’t help the giggle of excitement as she pressed the button and lifted the legs. “This is super fancy!”
“I think the last movie I saw in the theaters was Casper.”
Eyes widening, Darcy turned toward him with a look of shock on her face. “What?! The Christina Ricci, Bill Pullman, Devon Sawa ghost movie?!”
“If those are the actors names, then yes.”
“Wow. Wow. Zeke.” The good natured roll of his eyes made her lips tug upward, and she held out her package of M&Ms toward him. “I’ve got so much to teach you.”

For the week of 17 September 2018
Quick Bits:
Amazing Spider-Man Annual #1 gives us an “untold tale” of Spider-Man shortly after Secret Wars while he still had the black costume from Saladin Ahmed, Gerry Brown, Lee Loughridge, and Joe Caramagna. It’s a nice bit of embellishment, giving us a look more at the reactions from the people around Peter and what the Venom symbiote was doing while he slept. The dark, moody art from Brown and Loughridge is perfect for this.
| Published by Marvel
Avengers #8 is a bit of a housekeeping issue from Jason Aaron, taking stock of what’s changed for this new incarnation of the team, putting together the status of the various members, and setting up the new status quo. It’s nice to see David Marquez and Justin Ponsor aboard for this arc, continuing the very high bar this volume is setting for art.
| Published by Marvel
Black Hammer: Age of Doom #5 answers all of the questions, with Jeff Lemire and Dean Ormston filling in all of the details in Lucy’s quest to find the missing heroes. It’s an interesting, and satisfying, revelation that sets up an even bigger picture and possible looming threat.
| Published by Dark Horse
Bloodborne #5 begins a new arc, returning to the city, and focusing on a scientific and religious inquiry into the nature of the affliction besetting the world. Wonderful art from Piotr Kowalski and Brad Simpson.
| Published by Titan
Burnouts #1 isn’t a bad start from Dennis Culver, Geoffo, Dave Dwonch, and Lauren Perry, riffing on the teen alien invasion vibe of things like The Faculty. The premise of needing to be high or otherwise intoxicated to see the true threat is an interesting one, leaving an obvious out as to whether or not it’s real, but this issue largely takes it at face value.
| Published by Image
Captain America Annual #1 is very well done. Tini Howard, Chris Sprouse, Ron Lim, Karl Story, Walden Wong, Scott Hanna, Jesus Aburtov, Erick Arciniega, Israel Silva, and Joe Caramagna give us a story set deep into World War 2 of Cap and Bucky behind German lines, helping a group of civilians who escaped from Stutthof.
| Published by Marvel
Death or Glory #5 sets fire to Glory’s life quite literally. This entire series so far has been damned good, moving at a breakneck pace pushing the characters harder and further with each subsequent issue. Rick Remender, Bengal, and Rus Wooton continue to deliver.
| Published by Image / Giant Generator
Dick Tracy: Dead or Alive #1 is a curious thing, embracing the odd stylistic choices of Chester Gould’s characters with Rich Tommaso and Mike Allred’s art, and the kind of throwback tone of Lee & Mike Allred’s script, but through the use of a cellphone it doesn’t seem to be a period piece. Still, it’s an entertaining beginning to this mini.
| Published by IDW
Ether: The Copper Golems #5 is the bittersweet end to this mini, setting up a new problem for Boone and co. to face in the third series, but in doing so putting him in an even more tragic situation, both in the present and in the flashback back-up. Matt Kindt & David Rubín have bottled magic with this series and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
| Published by Dark Horse
GI Joe: A Real American Hero - Silent Option #1 begins a new limited series following Bombstrike and her team’s investigation of the missing Helix. It’s a bit bloodier and more brutal than the mothership series, but given the subject of human trafficking, it’s kind of understandable. Larry Hama, Netho Diaz, Alisson Rodrigues, Jagdish Kumar, Vinicius Townsend, and Neil Uyetake put together a decent start here. There’s also a great back-up filling us in on Helix’s past from Ryan Ferrier & Kenneth Loh.
| Published by IDW
Hack/Slash: Resurrection #11 is the conclusion to the “Return to Haverhill” arc and it continues with the usual offbeat humour that Tini Howard has brought to the title. Mixing the horror with wacky hijinks.
| Published by Image
Ice Cream Man #7 might be one of the more horrifying issues of the series, telling the tale of a young girl coming to terms with the death of her best friend. That story alone is enough to pick up the issue, but it also brings back more of the ongoing story of the Ice Cream Man’s trials as well, giving us a bit more interconnectivity of what are otherwise mostly standalone tales.
| Published by Image
Immortal Hulk #6 sees Al Ewing working to put the disparate pieces of the run so far together, along with revealing at least one group of antagonists dogging Banner’s heels, and working Hulk back into the broader world of the Marvel Universe to deal with the ramifications that have been hovering since Civil War 2. Surprisingly, none of it is particularly confusing, which is a testament to how Ewing is laying this out. Also, really nice guest art from Lee Garbett (with colours from Paul Mounts).
| Published by Marvel
Impossible Incorporated #1 is a new all ages mini from JM DeMatteis and Mike Cavallaro. I have fond memories of their previous collaboration The Life & Times of Savior 28, so came into this with some fairly high expectations. They were exceeded. The premise for this series taps into the same family of adventurers dynamic of the Fantastic Four and Challengers of the Unknown, and it yields some interesting characters, weird landscapes, and phenomenal art.
| Published by IDW
Infinity Wars: Soldier Supreme #1 is the first of these Infinity Warps tie-in minis to the overarching Infinity Wars saga, blending together two of Marvel’s heroes in this new reality. In this case, Captain America and Doctor Strange. I’m not sure how much impact these will ultimately have on the event, but it’s a fun diversion. Gerry Duggan, Adam Kubert, Matthew Wilson, and Clayton Cowles deliver an entertaining beginning to this story, laying out Stephen Rogers’ origin and showcasing a number of other amalgamated heroes and a rather interesting villain. Kubert and Wilson’s art is definitely more than worth the price of admission.
| Published by Marvel
The Life of Captain Marvel #3 delivers more heartfelt and strange complications for Carol Danvers. I’m really enjoying the drama that Margaret Stohl is creating in this series, it’s really been injecting a real element of humanity in Carol that’s been missing for years.
| Published by Marvel
Mr. & Mrs. X #3 gives us an explanation for the egg that everybody and their bird-brained aunt are fighting over. This development is definitely very interesting for the cosmic side of things.
| Published by Marvel
Olivia Twist #1 is an updating of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist, gender-bent and worked into the future, by Darin Strauss, Adam Dalva, Emma Vieceli, Lee Loughridge, and Sal Cipriano. The premise works quite well adapted to a dystopian future, with the protections of society broken down and oppression at an all time high. Although this is set in a future Britain, it’s easy to see similar conditions in America today. What really brings the book together is the artwork from Vieceli and Loughridge.
| Published by Dark Horse / Berger Books
Patience! Conviction! Revenge! #1 is the beginning to what looks to be another beautiful sci-fi epic, starting out with a bit of a western feel, before moving on to the city. I quite like the voice that Patrick Kindlon gives to the protagonist, Renny, as he doesn’t seem to shut up. Also, the artwork from Marco Ferrari and Patrizia Comino is wonderful. Ferrari has a style that reminds me of Sean Gordon Murphy and Devmalya Pramanik and it perfectly suits a lived-in future.
| Published by AfterShock
Return of Wolverine #1 is not a terrible comic. In fact the artwork from Steve McNiven, Jay Leisten, and Laura Martin is very, very good. McNiven seems to be channelling Barry Windsor-Smith for the artwork and it’s perfect. The action and page compositions are wonderful. I can also say that the story, dialogue and such, from Charles Soule is not bad. I’m not sure if I like the implied idea of pulling Wolverine’s history from him, putting the memory genie back in the bottle when we already know his Origin, is a good idea, but his issues with Persephone and Soteira are at least interesting.
What ruins this comic, however, like the Hunt for Wolverine: Dead Ends issue, is that it renders the entire Hunt for Wolverine event superfluous. It doesn’t respect the readers’ time or money, showing that Hunt for Wolverine didn’t build to anything. There’s absolutely nothing in this comic that necessitates having read anything before it. That’s good for new readers, but it’s a crappy ploy from Marvel that manufactured an empty event that seems like its sole purpose was to bilk the customer. I feel terrible saying that, since for the most part the mini-series weren’t bad in isolation, but as a whole, it just seems like a marketing stunt. When it comes to a character like Wolverine, who has previously been associated with the idea of market oversaturation, it’s just worse.
From Marvel Legacy through to now, it doesn’t feel like there’s been any guiding hand. It doesn’t feel like there’s been any coherence between any of the appearances. It just feels like Marvel turning to some of their worst tendencies in making this past year or so a marketing ploy, tarnishing something that possibly could have been special, and ruining the return of Wolverine. Wolverine’s still dead, Marvel’s just pimping a corpse.
| Published by Marvel
Seven to Eternity #11 checks in on Adam’s family at the farm while he’s hanging around with the Mud King. Like every issue, beautiful, stunning artwork from Jerome Opeña and Matt Hollingsworth, somehow outdoing themselves with the brilliant colour schemes and impressive character designs. Also, I love the biting, almost subtle, humour that Rick Remender employs for the Mud King’s dialogue.
| Published by Image / Giant Generator
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #86 begins the Earth Protection Force’s assault on Burnow Island, the new home to the Triceratons and Utroms. The action depicted by a returning Dave Wachter (with colours by Ronda Pattison) is very nice, even as we get some interesting moral and ethical hemming and hawing from both the Turtles and Burnow’s defenders as they choose whether or not to release their war criminals to help fight against the EPF. This feels like the beginning of something very heavy.
| Published by IDW
Thor #5 resumes the King Thor story from the first issue, in the far-flung future, with a reunion between Thor and Logan. It’s not quite as bonkers a story from Jason Aaron as the opening Niffleheim arc, but it’s certainly up there. I almost get the impression that Aaron and Donny Cates are seeing how far they push the cosmic envelope at Marvel right now, between their respective series. In any event, it’s led to some great storytelling. Especially when you add guest artist Christian Ward, who just makes this a must buy.
| Published by Marvel
Venom #6 is a not-so-subtle reminder that the art team of Ryan Stegman, JP Mayer, Frank Martin, and Clayton Cowles are absolute beasts. Every issue of this series has been impeccably crafted so far and I swear that this one ups the ante. Gorgeous work from the team.
| Published by Marvel
West Coast Avengers #2 is more ridiculous fun. If you liked the first issue, this is more of that, with some even more over-the-top shenanigans with the team, as they try to get to the bottom of BRODOK. Kelly Thompson’s dialogue and humour here are a highlight, reminding me of some of best of Keith Giffen and JM DeMatteis’ work on the bwahaha era of the Justice League. A book that doesn’t take itself too seriously is a nice balm these days. Also, gorgeous artwork again from Stefano Caselli and Tríona Farrell.
| Published by Marvel

Hi! For the very normal fic writer ask: #12?
Attempt to make a monster by assigning each of your fics a body part, eh? 😂 well, I can't just use all my fics individually. There are enough body parts to use, yeah, but I'd have to start like 😂 assigning pinky bones and a spleen or something 🤣 Let's do something like this:
My Canon Divergent Series like The Bucky Quest Saga, A Captain and His Bucky, You're a Sunflower (I Think Your Love Would Be Too Much), Loving Are All-Seeing Men and Midgardian Captains, The Marriage Game, I didn’t get to tell you goodbye, Captain America, The White Wolf, and the Winter Soldier, Sam and Bucky's Cabin, Time After Time, Back in the Gulf, sometimes that's all we need, Five Times Bucky Got Dirty and the One Time Bucky Got Sam Dirty, Playing with Fire, You'll Never Be My Maybe, and Meanwhile..., A Surprise Visit - they're all the head since I started writing fics again with Bucky Quest.
My Fantasy AUs like Golden is the Sun, His Wingless Stranger, ESCAPE TO WAKANDA, The White Wolf Apothecary, Star Wars Episode IV.V: The Phantom Hookup, The Little White Wolf, Joaquín Torres Monster Hunter, The Two Strangers, Impractical Magic, Reaching Out For You, Canary in the Coal Mine, The Selkie and the Pirate Elect, The Hypothetical, The Midnight Lover, and Sam Wilson and the Olympians - they're the heart because I enjoy playing around with fantasy and sci-fi concepts.
My No Powers AUs like A No Snow Christmas, The Only Thing That I Refuse to Forget, A Night With You, My Best Friend's Brother, If I Take You Home, For the Holidays, From That Show, and Walking and Running to You are the romcom book surgically attached to the body because they're mostly fluff.
My anthologies like The SamBucky Halloween 2021 Anthology, The WinterFalcon Week 2021, The Nine Short Dates with Sam and Bucky, The Sambtember Ficlets and Drabble Anthology, The Kinktober Collection 2021, Water They Waiting For, Captains and Falcons and White Wolves, Or My!, MYSU Holiday Gift Exchange 2021, SamBucky Library's Candy Hearts Event 2022, SamBucky Library's Candy Hearts Event 2022 Fic Anthology, The Daily SamBucky Fluff Diary Auxiliary Stories, MYSU Valentine's Day Bingo 2022 Fic Anthology, The Tush Collection, My SamBucky AU Week 2022 Collection, Drabbles and Ficlets for Samtember 2022, WinterFalcon Bingo Round Two 2022-2023 Bingo Fills, SamBucky Halloween Bingo 2022, the Sam Wilson Bingo Round 2, the SamBucky Festive Bingo 2022, TFATWS Anniversary 2023 Fics, All Caps Bingo Round One 2023 Fills, SamBucky Summer Bingo 2023 Fills, Samtember 2023 Fills, SamBucky Halloween Bingo 2023 Fills, SamBucky Gift Event 2023 Fics, and SamBucky Valentine's Day Bingo 2024 Fics are like the bones and organs of the body because they keep the body working.
My SamBucky One-Shots and Other One-Shots are hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, little pretty accents to the body.
Idk if that makes a lot of sense, but I'd I think this feels right. It's definitely a chaotic mess 😂

Avenginnatians Assemble! Who can save Cincinnati from the snap?
Recenlty, I took time out to defend the city and fans of Cincinnati. That turned into, accidentally, inexplicably, an exoneration of Cincinnati Bengals owner, Mike Brown. I was in my feelings. This time, however, I am temporarily back to where the rest of the world is, pillorying my favorite team’s ownership group. Except now, I have decided to focus my attention on the existential threat which can only be compared to Thanos lording over an unsuspecting universe which is the MCU, or Marvel Comic Universe. Except, in the MCU, the group of heroes, the Avengers, had ten years to assemble, prepare, and defeat the Titan menace. We, Bengals fans, only have six. Who is going to save us from our “Snap.” I’d like to offer my possible solution against our impending football demise.
Before we begin, spoiler alert.
If you have not seen the Avengers films, A, where the heck have you been. Two, I’m going to talk about important details, so if wish to catch up, congratulations, also, back out now. And D, if you do decide to back out, save this so that you may come back to it later.
Now Thanos.
For those of you who do not know, is an alien looking to gather gems, or six infinity stones, so that he can destroy half the universe’s living population so that the rest of the universe can survive. He will accomplish this with a simple snap of his fingers after attaining all six Infinity Stones.
In this analogy, the aforementioned ‘Snap’ represents the Bengals leaving Cincinnati. I, @cincy2france, am in search of a team superheroes to bring together to prevent this from happening. That is why I am the Nick Fury of this affair.
In the Inifinity Saga, however, our heroes were unable to stave off this disaster. No worries though, they were able to master time travel to go back to preempt the ‘Snap’ from happening in the first place.
My goals are as follow. One, to keep the Bengals in Cincinnati by preventing our “Snap” from occurring. B, to wrest away the Infinity gauntlet, in this case, the Bengals franchise, away from Thanos, or in this case, Mike Brown. And four, just in case the snap does transpire, have a group of heroes ready to act to restore the universe to how it was before. In this case, bringing a team back to Cincinnati in the event that the team were to leave our magnificent city.
As an added bonus, I would be elevating the profile of the Cincinnati Bengals to make it a more attractive place to play for free agents. No longer a professional franchise laughing stock to be continuously mocked by people who don’t know what they are talking about. You know, people who get paid to what what they are talking about. To do this, I am going to stick with the MCU’s version of the original Avengers with one exception. Trust me, it will make sense. Or, at least it will make since to me anyway.
Before we begin with the assembly of my formidable ownership group, in September 2019, according to Forbes.com, the Cincinnati Bengals franchise is worth 2 billion dollars.
I don’t think this would be enough to pry the team away from the Brown family. To have a chance, I think a financial group would have to spend around 2.5 - 3 billion dollars. The Carolina Panthers franchise sold for 2.2 billion. The Brown family would undoubtably want north of that if they were to be persuaded to sell. In reality, I do not think there is a total that would convince the family to cede control of the franchise, but then again, as the French say, “everyone has a price.” On top of that, the new ownership group would have to have the capital to do some of the things to show Bengals fans and future players that the franchise is moving in a new and better direction. This includes, but not limited to, an indoor training facility, bigger scouting department, franchise hall of fame (or ring of honor), and bigger, more publicized community outreach.
Full disclosure, this exercise would have been a lot easier with a financial benefactor like Dayton Ohio native, Columbus Ohio resident, Leslie Wexner. His net worth is listed at $7.6 billion. But, he is going through some things right now, so I have decided to exclude him from this lineup. Perhaps he can make an appearance in a future imagining of this team. For now, however, let’s just say he can’t lift Mjolnir. So, moving on.
Now, I’m looking for someone who wants to be a part of something bigger than themselves. Someone who has the clout, motivation, and financial capability to help me recruit others to this mission. This person, wants this to happen, but does not have the financial ability to make it happen on their own. I need a Black Widow. My Black Widow in this scenario is Sarah Jessica Parker.
She would go a long way in helping me convince the heaviest of hitters that this is a good idea for them financially and for the city where they are from. Much like Nick Fury, I’m going to need help mobilizing others. I am going to need a Black Widow, aka Sarah Jessica Parker.
Next, I need an Iron Man. The principle financial stake holder in this endeavor. I’m going to send my version of Black Widow to recruit a Cincinnati version of Iron Man. A leader. A go getter. Someone from Cincinnati who could probably do this on his own, financially, but does not have any interest in this endeavor. This person is going to be Steven Spielberg.
Mr. Spielberg’s net worth is listed, publicly, at $3.6 billion. Much like Tony Stark, everyone knows who he is. There is no need to hide his identity. There would be a question of if he would even be interested in forming a “Super Team” or if he would even care about the Titan Menace. But we need him if we are to stand a chance. Also, the franchise could use his expertise when it comes to marketing and creating a product off the field which would add to the “presentation” of the team. Just making the team and city look cool.
Then, obviously we need a Captain America. Not necessarily because of his wealth, but because he is someone that the people, fans can get behind easily. A beautiful face of Cincinnati who inspires us to be better than we are. To do better than we are doing. An example to look to for when we need extra motivation. For that, I have chosen George Clooney, “What else?”
A face from Cincinnati to be sold to the rest of the world. Besides, his net worth is $239 million, so that helps. He loves our city and knows what it takes to get things done in the city of Cincinnati. He often speaks about how growing up in Cincinnati affects the way he views many of his cinematic projects. He directed his film, Ides of March, in Cincinnati.
Obvioulsly, he has a network of influential friends. Much in the same way Steve Rogers (Captain America) has Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Bucky Barnes (Winter Soldier), George Clooney has Matt Damon (reported net worth $160 million) and Ben Affleck (reported net worth $130 million). That is a formidable team with a lot of star power.
Also, I am going to need a Black Panther. After all, he is my son’s favorite MCU character. Black Panther, cultural phenomenon. A king of his own domain who also has the ability to be a major player in the acquisition of a NFL franchise. Also, he has the added value of being a person who has already expressed the desire to be an owner of an NFL team. In this scenario, my Black Panther is Sean “P Diddy, Diddy, Puff Daddy” Combs.
His net worth is listed publicly at 855 million dollars. He would be very motivated to become a NFL owner after missing out on the opportunity to purchase the Carolina Panthers in 2018. That franchise sold for $2.2 billion. He has the willingness to do what it takes to be an owner and the drive to be great in other realms. That, along with his capital, of course, could go a long way in making sure that Thanos Brown does not succeed. While he has no interest in Cincinnati, he does have an interest in owning a NFL team. This also helps with the glaring issue of the lack of minority ownership in the NFL. While not a panacea, this could be a step in the right direction. Also, much like when the Black Panther in the comics needed a first step on his way to become the leader of the Avengers, this is the first step in Combs’ quest to become the majority owner of his own NFL team.
Then there is Thor. Now this one is easy. I could totally see Bob Castellini, owner of the Cincinnati Reds, flying in and saying that he’s tired of sharing prime Riverfront real-estate with the Brown family and the fashion that they do things. Castellini wielding his version of Thor’s axe, “Stormbreaker.”
Yes, Thor has a hammer and an axe. It’s a thing. Catch up. You’ll thank me later.
As I was saying, I could see Castellini swinging his axe, or whatever his baseball equivalent of an axe would be, causing everyone to say “what did you do?” And as he fixes his gaze out from Paul Brown upon the riverfront, over to his own Great American Ballpark Stadium, his reply simply being, “I went for the head.” Then we just see his silhouette walking off into the sun setting on the mighty Ohio river. Now that is what I call a “walk off.”
With a net worth of 400 million dollars, he is far from having the capital of being the principle owner of a NFL franchise. However, as is the case of Puff Panther, if he were to start with a smaller stake in the franchise, that could grow overtime.
Following the theme of the MCU version of the Avengers, this team needs a Hawkeye. More precisely, the Ronan version of Hawkeye. Someone who knows the terrain in which he is dealing. Someone, while never actually having to deal with Thanos Brown, knows of him and what an existential threat the Titan Menace is. Therefore, he teams up to protect his world, or in this case, his city, and the people he cares about. For this we need Clayton Mathile.
A ruthless billionaire businessman, hence, the Ronan version of Hawkeye, who knows what it takes to succeed in Cincinnati and has knowledge of how everything operates while somehow being underestimated for the amount of things he has done. Besides, Mathile’s 2.3 billion dollar net worth obviously makes him a principle character of this team, even though he’s not who we initially think when rounding up a group of heroes to save a city from it’s professional football demise.
This crew would not be complete without a fan favorite, Bruce Banner, aka, the Hulk. Of course finding someone from Cincinnati to be represent the Hulk proved to be cumbersome. With that said, I have found a suitable stand-in for Bruce Banner. For this, I have chosen Ken Oaks.
He is smart, motivated, and seemingly very nice. But, I do not think you would like it if he were to become angry. It looks as though has a very stressful job and has an unlimited budget to get done what needs to get done. And while is nice outwardly appearance is his public face, you do not earn 1 billion dollars in the logistics industry by being “lollipops and rainbows” all the time. His logistical knowledge of how to get things done around the city coincides with the way that Bruce Banner’s knowledge of quantum physics aided the Avengers in their battle against the Titan menace. Did I mention his net worth is 1 billion dollars?
To conclude, it appears that this false narrative of the Cincinnati Bengals being the worse thing since unsliced bread is not going away anytime soon.
As a matter of fact, it seems to only be getting stronger. Some Cincinnati residents would just be happy to let the Bengals lease run out and let the team leave. I would argue that what they would love even more than that is hearing outsiders speak highly of our city and our team.
As of now, there is very little public confidence in the way the Brown family runs the organization.
There is very little chance that the community will vote to pay more taxes to keep the team in town. If that is the case, Thanos Brown will snap.
We, neigh, I, Nick cincy2france Furry, have to do what I can to prevent the snap or undo it after it happens.
With around a total net worth of 7 billion dollars, me as Cincy Fury, Sarah Jessica Parker as my Black Widow, Steven Spielberg as my Iron Man, George Clooney, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck as Captain American, Falcon, and Winter Soldier respectively. Bob Castellini as my Thor, Sean P Diddy Combs as my Black Panther, and Clayton Mathile as my Hawkeye / Ronan and Ken Oaks as my Bruce Banner, we would have more than enough capital and cachet to keep the Bengals in Cincinnati and jettison the unlovable loser moniker which we have been tarnished with.
Avenginnatians Assemble!

Ecco 10 suggerimenti:
Marvel Knights: Black Widow
Jones come alter ego dell’eroina.
The Eternals
The Hands Of Shang-Chi, Master Of Kung Fu
Strange Tales/Doctor Strange
Sam Wilson: Captain America
The Vision
House of M
What If
Hawkeye
The Mighty Thor
