I had to google the Gion Festival origins and learned that it started around the time a plague broke out and everyone was like “oh shit, we’re being haunted by vengeful spirits”. So in a way, they’re both right. Bucchigire but Horror, this week, Sougen actually has a point.

Do you think the reason Suzuran thought Sougen was “interesting” was because the man is just haunted by ghosts of people he dissected?

Bakumatsu Bad Boys #ブッチギレ!#I know they’re all already dead and stuff but he did mention that he was basically dissecting discarded bodies #so could you imagine that now the restless spirits are just tethered to him?#Do you think Suzuran senses spirits too or only sees them because if they were tethered to him from early on #that means Suzuran was blindfolded and taken to an undisclosed location and immediately sensed death #that really changes the context of him agreeing to be their funeral processor so quickly #like god dammit Sougen is about to dismantle a body and the spirit is gonna haunt him I need to exorcise it #He’s literally standing right there yelling curse words at Sakuya for killing him and you’re talking about taking him apart #okay I’ll join the Shinsengumi because that man is a walking disaster #Insanity Draws #Insanity of Mojiru #Bucchigire as a Horror Anime
