Robin gloats at him over a stack of smiley face chocolate chip pancakes while a beam of sunlight through the diner window does its best to drill a hole in his head.

Fucking hangovers.

"Never. Drinking. Again," Steve groans around a mouthful of waffle. He rubs at his eyes, heels of his palms pressed gently to the throbbing ache behind his lids; gets a little smudge of syrup on his temple and can't even really be bothered to care.

"I can't believe you did coke," Robin says.

"I can't believe you smoked weed."

"I know."

Steve hesitates for a moment; nibbles a slice of bacon; swallows a sharp piece. He hasn’t tried weed again since... "Was it okay?"

"Yeah," she answers seriously. "Yeah, it was okay. It was nice, actually." Then she perks back up; runs a finger through the whip cream smile on her plate and boops some onto Steve's chin because she's an asshole. "Anyway," she grins with pancake crumbs stuck to her teeth, "it's officially time for you to fess up."

Ugh. Steve slides a glass of water her way, hoping she'll take the hint and swish. "Fess up to what?"

"To me being extremely correct?" She spears another bite of food; gives her fork a victory twirl. "You two are sooo disgustingly into each other."

"Shut up," Steve hisses. He drops his voice to a paranoid whisper, "Also, no, it’s not time to do that because we were only talking about... about him being into me."

"Steve." Robin looks him dead in the eye. Soul searching again; God, he hates that. Makes his armpits feel all sweaty.

He darts his gaze around the room, and Robin lowers her voice to match his volume and leans halfway across the sticky table so he can still hear. "You were literally giggling with your nose two inches from his belt line last night. But whatever you say, Sweetheart."

"Okay, no." Steve wags a finger in her face. "No. Absolutely not, you’re not allowed."

Robin cackles and tilts her fork so the sunbeam hits him right in the eye.

Birthday Completed.. Am Thirtey Twoe

#i visited a rat cafe!! (it is not an eating or drinking establishment it's just a rat interaction establishment but i keep calling it that))#there was another american at the rat cafe and she took me to Dunch cuz it was my birthday and she also wanted to ask me about rat ownershi #note: in my brain Dunch is a meal combo like brunch -- a dinner so early as to overlap lunch -but at a less glamorous time and sounds worse #that was super nice and i think i now have another person on my small list of in person friends here!!! ;w;#then on the way home brief specter of disaster as i was like OH GOD... IVE PARKED IN A RESTRICTED BIKE LOT AND THEY TOWED MY BIKE #(because i had definitely just .. parked my bike in the area for monthly permit holders without noticing lol)#but it turned out instead they had just stuck it in a metered space where it should have gone to begin with so disaster averted lol #then when it was getting late i took myself out for a pot of tea and a fancy sweet at a local cafe! (actual cafe) (no rats)#honestly i'd been mad at myself for not planning anything with any friends and thinking i'd end up depressed and alone today #but i got just enough rat and human interaction and it was a really good day #i did a bunch of other stuff this week too #why did i write all of this in tags? unclear.......i'm extremely tired or i'd try to make a real blog post of it with pics etc. : I #eepy. so eepy

It's been a truly weird day guys

#first: i saw busy phillips for the *second* time in less than 12 hrs while walking to a park in the west village after brunch #(first time was in line at the theater for 'oh mary!' which wasnt too shocking its a hot ticket right now. but the second?? bizarre)#then i learned joe biden was dropping out while riding his beloved amtrak on the northeast regional #then our train got stuck roughly 300 ft outside of Union station for OVER AN HOUR with no explanation #and then i had to immediately jump on the computer to write rapid response copy in response to the biden announcement #i just want to go to bed please let me sleep world PLEASE

Sitting in my car waiting to go in for my appointment with the social worker who's hopefully going to write me my second letter that I need to get a top surgery consult. Bored as hell because I'm here over an hour early

i am so deep in my feelings right now, i both sad and mad enough that i cannot sleep

#ive been angry oscillating between angry and sad pretty much the whole day #i had a rare saturday off and i feel like i wasted half of it for my mom and she didnt appreciate it #i wanted to take her to somewhere new for brunch and a cool bookstore and to get our nails donw #and she drove like 30 minutes in the wrong direction and wouldnt listen to me and tried to blame it on me #im not allowed to be sick on my own. she has to be sick too. if i have a headache so does she and worse #if im nauseous in the afternoon she 'threw up' that morning. she'll say its something we ate even if we ate nothing in common #ive broken our in hives that keep popping up and the whole day she was acting as if she was itchy too AND dizzy.#we had to stop multiple times because she was so dizzy. im not saying she was lying but it stopped her from cleaning #she didnt want the original breakfast place near the bookstore and salon and when we got to the second one it was closed #found a third but she didnt want to deal with parking. went to option 4 and she didnt like her food.#she also kept asking me what she was getting instead of just ordering herself. 'what was it that i wanted? yes can you tell her i want xyz'#(and let me just say i have 0 patience left for people who cant do anything themselves. helplessness is a hard hard no for me #we didnt go to the bookstore or the salon and shes like oh okay tomorrow. i told her i had plans and shes like oh you always make plans #with your friends and none with me. Girlfriend. what are we doing right now?#went home to try to clean up our apartment and got overwhelmed when i realized i have to do everything myself because she no help #while she laid down and watched pitch perfect for the 1000th time #im also trying to figure out how to tell an ex friend i dont want them back in my life because theyre so much work #but i dont have room in my life to have that conversation. im also probably going to start looking for a different job soon #i just want my parents gone. my apartment furnished. free time. and a vacation.

Feb 2023 🫶🏼

#1. at refugee camp number 3. we started end of November and had to close again on feb 14 :/ I feel so bad for the people who have to live #in the camps bc they keep having to move around and the conditions are really not good #2. on a random Friday . after lunch. my coworkers and I were sitting in our office (half the people working that day had already left so we #were left w 3) and we had 0 motivation left. there’s a bakery literally in front of our office so I was like ‘I feel like getting something #rn’ and my coworkers agreed so I got use these. was very good #3. went for sushi w the refugee camp team. had a very fun evening #4. took this pic at a forest me & my friend decided to go to. we actually drove to another city. had brunch and then took a walk in this #forest. then we found some bikes (which belong to this park / p #/ forest) so we cycled and even found somewhere nice to just sit down and listen to music. usually when I see friends we just go for food #and sometimes shopping or cinema so it was nice to do something a little different for once #5. this pic I actually took this morning! it was like 7:30 (the time I usually leave for work) I was walking to my car . looked up and was #actually stunned by the view. it’s not much but the trees looked like they were lit up?#6. my cousins daughter has crazy beautiful eyes. she’s so cute mashallah #monthly recap
