Mobei-Jun became aware of himself slowly, like the first snow of the season. He wasn't able to feel his body, but his mind was there, commanding his fingers to bend, his head to turn left and right. Not that he had much to see, encased on an infinite white that made his eyes water.

Another thing that took too long to remember was how he ended up in such a situation. It was like trying to catch a slippery fish, the memory swimming away from him in the middle of a river of pain.

The only thing that kept him grounded was the memory of warm brown eyes and ink stained fingers. Shang Qinghua's face was a constant flash on Mobei-Jun's mind, but something kept making him flinch, there was something wrong with their last encounter, something that he couldn't-

“Oh, you're awake. Welcome Character_s201,” the Thing that looked like Shang Qinghua appeared in front of him, wearing something that seemed to be An Ding Peak robes, but didn't layer properly, as if the fabric kept melting against itself when the Thing moved.

Not that It moved much, it was like watching the shadow version of Qinghua, the Thing so still It looked like a doll. Mobei-Jun had faced many monsters throughout his life, none that actually chilled him to the bones such as the creature in front of him.

“There's no need to be scared, I won't hurt you,” It said as if It wasn't keeping Mobei-Jun bound to the wall, holding him so tight he could barely breathe. “You are here to complete a set of experiments to gather data. After the experiment, food will be provided, and you will be released.”

He said nothing back, focusing on keeping his eyes wide open. Could it be a shapeshifter? It would make sense, although no shapeshifter he had met behaved like that, they usually did their best to imitate their original forms to not attract suspicion. And a shapeshifter capable of knocking him out would be able to copy Qinghua's eyes.

A beat of silence passed between them, neither of them blinking. Then, as if It was seeing something to the side, it nodded, waving Its hand before changing forms right in front of Mobei-Jun.

Again, Mobei was an experienced demon. He had seen shit, as Qinghua would say, before even becoming Junshang's right hand. And after getting his title of Junshang's right hand, his encounter with weird creatures increased by leaps and bounds. He had seen shape-shifting done by different creatures and by magic, but nothing that could compare to what the Thing did.

It was like watching Junshang create a portal with Xin Mo, but instead of a tear in space and reality, it exploded in tiny multi-colored shards of glass, regrouping itself in a glimpse, the outfit now a neutral green and gray with accents of gold. Its face kept Qinghua's rounded shape, but the hair was mostly down, a small bun on top of Its head being held by a golden crown. The only thing it had kept the same were the eyes, still poison green that made Mobei's skin tingle as if a thousand fire ants were crawling over his body.

“Apologies for creating discomfort. Is this avatar more comfortable for interacting, Character_s201?”

Again Mobei kept his mouth shut. Whatever that thing was, it didn't want Mobei's comfort. He didn't believe in Its honeyed words either, what experiments? Was It going to torture him? What did It actually want?

“Character_s201 experience cannot be improved without proper feedback. Should I undo the avatar change?”

It was like he was listening to the words but couldn't grasp the meaning behind them. The most terrifying part was that the Thing sounded like Qinghua and Consort Shen when they thought no one could hear them. Was that the connection? Was this thing after Consort Shen? Or-

“Wh-” He tried to ask, the metallic taste on his mouth making him cough. The Thing approached, offering a ceramic cup with what seemed to be water, but Mobei wasn't stupid. He turned his face sideways, the movement bringing a searing pain to his neck, nausea and dizziness forcing him to close his eyes.

“There's no need for Character_s201 discomfort. Character_s201 health is important to not skew data results.” It insisted, grabbing Mobei-Jun's face, pressing the cup against his lips until he drank the liquid. He felt feverish, doing his best to spit on the Thing's face, but It did something to his tongue, as if it could control Mobei's body. He swallowed, the water healing his scratchy throat, but at what cost? It could have given him poison, or a truth serum, or-

“Water is important for Character_s201 maintenance. Now, Character_s201 experience cannot be improved without proper feedback. Should I undo the avatar change?”

Mobei-Jun felt himself sag, his wrists and legs burning as they held his weight. He was falling right into Its trap, spending his energy faster, becoming weaker.

“What's… An avatar?” He asked instead of physically fighting, but keeping his glare on the Thing. Which was good, because as soon as he asked, the Thing blinked, possibly for the first time since they had started talking, as if It had been caught by surprise by Mobei-Jun's question.

“An avatar is a graphical representation of a user, the user's character, or persona.” It explained after Its eyes flashed, blinking a couple of more times. “It's what Character_s201 would call my appearance.”

“It's fine,” Mobei-Jun grunted, agreeing with whatever nonsense the Thing was asking. Better a stranger than Qinghua's face, for sure.

“Understood. Avatar preferences updated. Now, shall we proceed?”

For the second time, the Thing pressed Its thumb against Mobei-Jun's demon mark, making the world around him plumb into darkness.

hi to chrom hater anon i'm a professional chrom enjoyer

if you get deranged enough about awakening i think chrom is a very well done character :) he's ignorant but well meaning which meshes in interesting ways. he's not overtly prejudiced to the plegians he knows personally but still *generally* prejudiced because of his upbringing.

additionally in discussions of the ylisse-plegia war he tends to focus on how ylisse came away from it because that state of ylisse is what shaped his formative childhood years (seen particularly in his feelings about emmeryn's early years as exalt). this is UNDERSTANDABLE but still an extremely DEEPLY FLAWED and naive stance when doing politics on a larger scale, which chrom is incredibly ill-prepared for. it's a very childish view of a large scale conflict.

chrom's propensity for violence is a trait that actually deeply fascinates me. he has intense admiration for emmeryn's desire for peace yet he has a very short temper in tense situations (seen in basically all of chrom's interactions with gangrel), and he tends to lash out easily at anyone he views as an enemy. he admires peace but sees no other means to achieve it than violence. isn't that interesting. the implications here. like, he's the inheritor of the falchion, he's the only son in his family, in all likelihood it was expected that HE would take the throne and continue his father's war, but he was so young when the exalt passed that the crown went to emmeryn instead.

it really seems like emmeryn intentionally kept her siblings away from politics, which results in BOTH of them being naive in vastly different ways, with the expectation that she would always shoulder the burden of the crown yet left all the bigger a void when she died.

mind, intentionally being raised to behave this way isn't an excuse either. it's ultimately still something chrom, as an adult, SHOULD examine critically. this is, in fact, a character flaw, and i think its great.

you can then of course do nice little compare and contrast at the shitty dads, i.e. chrom's dad vs validar. robin's first act as an awakened god is murdering validar. robin became the monster everyone saw them as, the one their father thinks they were born to be. it's a neat lil nature vs nurture comparison if you really get into the depths of grima-ology (hi grima ✌️ mutuals).

to dig more into points the chrom hater anon makes.

"chrom is transphobic for killing excellus" do you hear yourself. excellus was an enemy commander. chrom has no personal grievances against the commanders other than they are part of the army with the known intent to raze ylisse.

Chrom tells Aversa "One person's life means nothing in the shadow of millions" Chrom is a hypocrite i hope this helps. additionally what aversa is doing is "help the dark god literally causing the apocalypse rn" whereas the sacrifice/save robin choice is "doom people in some hypothetical far off future" which is FAR less personal than "all of humanity RIGHT NOW".

TLDR: the real chrom enjoyers know about his character flaws and love him anyway because it's nice flavor to chew on

The ammunition had been color coded. To "determine the accuracy of the different factions". That was command code for earning the right to gloat.

And boy were they ever. There had been three factions. Three colors and the once white or primarily white of their armors had been marred with a slurry of shots. The viscous ooze that was left in the wake of each little explosion of color had dripped and congealed into a mostly beige mess that stained every man and most surfaces.

it was an oil based fluid as was apparent when their hands only managed to smear the muck around until it took on more of a sad brown shade but remained no less on the surface of their plastoid.

The winners, the bastards stood tall in a ring around their Jedi, helmets tucked under their arms, unashamed of their stained condition for it paled in comparison to the conditions of the troops around them. Not even the paint smeared over their cheeks could wipe the cocky grins from them.

Jesse sulked, using a rag to smear the mess around. Gaining no ground in removing the evidence of his defeat. Boys in blue were scattered around in similar states, clouds of malaise accumulating over their heads.

Ahsoka had to hold back her amusement, lest she seem anything less than loyal to her men. Still their utter defeat was so amusing. Her boys were good. Very good. But only a handfull of them had really been trained as a special task force. She had her ARCs. Her own strike team that she'd chosen and trained just the way she wanted them. And for their credit Fives, Echo, and Rex remained far less of a disaster than their brethren.

But they had been squarely defeated. Cody and Wolffe coming to an agreement early in the game that allied them against the boys in blue. They had soundly whooped her men and left them in a state of humiliation, before they turned on each other.

They'd fought hard and dirty, rolling over the floor like animals. Like rabid things.

And it wasn't out of a lack of loyalty that Ahsoka found herself impressed. Far from it. It was a loyalty buried to deep in her that incited a near feral glee in watching Cody and Wolffe perform al out warfare against each other. For as deep as her loyalties ran with the 501st, they were not the first faction she'd been allied with. And given the opportunity, which the Jedi most certainly were not, she'd have been down there in the ring wrestling with them as well.

For as much as she respected Cody, there was something about Wolffe that just resonated with her in an instinctual way. In the way that he stalked, hunted, attacked.

They had the same teeth, her and her first brother. And he flashed them at her now in a show of victory, over the lowered heads of his defeated foes. dark gray paint tainting every surface. Hand prints marring Cody's armor. Rex's. Boil's. Five's.

Wolffe grinned with all his teeth exposed to the air and Ahsoka could have howled with him. But all she dared do was flash her fangs in return.

Converted from a captured German cargo ship into an auxiliary aircraft carrier, HMS Audacity began escorting convoys between Liverpool and Gibraltar in September1941 and its Martlet fighters from 802 Squadron soon began to encounter KG 40’s Condors. While escorting convoy OG 76 on 8 November,the squadron commander tried to intercept one Condor but was killed by an alert German gunner. Sub-Lieutenant Eric Brown and his wingman were soon scrambled to intercept another pair of Condors and each pursued one enemy aircraft. Brown caught the Fw200C-3/U4 flown by Oberleutnant Karl Krüger unaware but missed on his first diving attack from the port beam. He managed to hit the Condor’s starboard engine on a second pass but Krüger ducked into heavy cloud cover and lost the British fighter. Brown poked around the clouds, looking for his quarry,until Krüger’s aircraft suddenly appeared from a cloudb ankahead of him. Risking a head on attack at point-blank range,he succeeded in striking the cockpit area. Both Krüger and his co-pilot were killed as the windscreen shattered under this fusillade and Brown had to maneuver violently to avoid the plunging wreck. This was Eric Brown’s first Condor “kill”and he would shoot down another on 19 December, again using this head-on attack technique. In its short career, HMS Audacity’s fighters had finally delivered the kind of persistent aerial protection that made Condor attacks on convoys all but suicidal.

Apollo Program: Lunar Module (LM) production and names

The Grumman Aerospace Corporation was awarded the contract on November 7, 1962. Originally designated Lunar Excursion Module (LEM), NASA ordered 25 lunar modules (10 test articles and 15 production models) for testing and landing on the moon. This was to go with the 15 Saturn Vs and Apollo CSMs. They were assembled in Grumman's factory in Bethpage, New York.

Sapphire Aurora:

she is from silvers time, and before she met silver, she spent a lot of time fighting to survive on her own, so she has gotten a lot of survival instincts, and puts up a tough girl act to look intimidating

when she was young her parents died while trying to save her, but all she knows is that they went away and never came back so she feels they abandoned her and now has a ton of abandonment issues so she tries not making friends

until she meets silver that is

she has winter themed powers, she can create and control snow, ice, cold, etc. which she sometimes uses to make statues as she like to do art when shes alone ot try and cheer her up

she's basicaly silvers "tails" and sees him as a big bro, though she does bite him a lot, silver learned the hard way not to surprise or sneak up on her.

due to iblis, silver sees her as blaze a lot, which doesn't help that she has some similarities to blaze

shes also just a scared little girl on the inside, a side she doesnt show many people, even silver has only seen it a few times

she is the host for the 3rd part of solaris(the soul) who gives her fire resistence and keeps her from dying

A hypothetical question about kuroshitsuji. Hope u don't mind. Well, I read a certain anon's wonderful long post about Tanaka. And there was that one question that really intrigued me.

What if the person you are supposed to be taking revenge on is dead or doesn't exist anymore?

Now, I know that you think that the culprit was a supernatural being or a demon. But, what if, it wasn't? Do you by any chance give me a hypothetical answer to that? Do you happen to know that where could the story go if that was the case? Just your opinion.

Hey Anon! So about what I said here, while I believe our!Ciel's main target of revenge is indeed alive and includes a supernatural being (aka the Queen and JB), the circumstances behind Ciel's revenge may actually be mostly about dead people (that aren't even bizarre dolls).

First of all, Kuroshitsuji as a series really emphasizes that being unable to move on is a flaw that hinders growth. That's why revenge is thematically presented, in my opinion, as the wrong choice to make / the choice to make for wrong reasons [x][x].

The Bizarre Dolls project being such a big part of the plot also is there to make us understand that focusing on the past rather than present and future is destructive (the Under-"hello darkness my old friend"-taker himself).

Keeping that in mind, I believe Victoria is the big bad yes, so she gave the order to get rid of Vincent and John Brown, as her bound demon, orchestrated a gruesome massacre using real!Ciel (the RCMT). Yet the reasons why she ordered it are still shrouded in mystery.

I actually proposed not so long ago that Vincent had become a political enemy of Victoria and that it was probably related to that. However, Vincent isn't the only Watchdog Victoria probably murdered. Indeed, before Vincent there was Claudia and a few hints in the story imply that she too had a rather sad end.

So, was Claudia a political enemy of Victoria too ? We don't know at all, but I think it's more likely that Claudia's death was more personal and could be related one way or another to Prince Albert's death.

All that to say maybe Ciel's revenge against Victoria stems from several vendettas that Victoria exacted on Ciel's predecessors. See now what I mean about the circumstances behind Ciel's revenge being mostly about dead people, Anon ?

Taking even into account the possibility of the RCMT : if real!Ciel was manipulated by the Queen which led to Vincent's murder (planned), as well as the whole massacre of the manor (unexpected in real!Ciel's mind), then, since real!Ciel was brought back as a BD, obviously seeking the truth from him is part of our!Ciel's journey (even if our!Ciel probably doesn't suspect it yet).

Lastly, going back even further, if my theory that the Watchdog's duty is a curse that the Phantomhive family got because of their special lineage, then it goes even beyond Vincent and Claudia : Ciel versus Victoria is ultimately also about biting back, as a reminder that many generations of Watchdog got their hands dirty and died, without any freedom, fated to do as the royal family commanded.

So "what if the person you are supposed to be taking revenge on is dead or doesn't exist anymore" ? In my opinion, that is precisely what our!Ciel vs Victoria is all about.

Our!Ciel wants revenge on the one person who targeted his family -> narratively it's the wrong choice to make because, even if Victoria is indeed alive, he currently ignores how many dead people and vengeful plans his own revenge is actually built on. So, if he eventually goes on with it, he'll just perpetuate the cycle and die a meaningless death. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Meanwhile, Victoria sees our!Ciel as a threat, but not so much because of the small scale he acted on against her (Seb's threatening presence aside). Mostly its because his two predecessors were her personal and political enemies ; they defied her so they had to die and Ciel won't be any different -> it's the choice to make for wrong reasons, because she's knowingly choosing to target them, as she believes her power gives her the right to (like several kings or queens before her forced their Watchdogs to dirty their hands and die for their sake).

All in all, it's why I think that Kuroshitsuji is more or less a tale of generational trauma, but that our!Ciel has a good narrative chance to be the one breaking that big cursed revenge cycle, especially if he chooses to give up on his own revenge.

So have some fun facts!

-Despite being the older brother, Kurochi is the Second in Command for DICE, and Kokichi is the leader. Kuorchi follows Kokichi's orders without fail when he's being serious -Kurochi is a cryptographer, which means he works with cyber security most--but I personally like the idea that he likes decrypting more than encrypting, so he's essentially got the skills to be a deadly hacker if he so wished -Rochi is a spy kid but also a dino kid, Kokichi is a class clown and a theater kid -When choosing the aesthetics for DICE, Kokichi and Kurochi did rock, paper, scissors to decide everything. Kokichi ended up "losing" most of the games, thusly why Twins AU! DICE has a different looking uniform, but he made SURE to win the round where they were choosing between A Clown Theme VS A Masquerade Theme -The idea behind Rochi was that in canon, Kokichi blames himself for Rochi's suicide when they were twelve--something that, ofc, doesn't happen in Twins AU. This means Kokichi and Kurochi are both less pale/sickly and have a little more fat on their bodies from taking slightly better care of themselves. -The twins have an older sister-turned-brother named Noboru Hakuren--who just so happens to be the friend Maki made as a child who "died." -All three of them inherited their mother's "Lucky Charm" Ultimate Luckster talent (in the form of her giving them luck), so that's how they were able to meet again later in life after Kenzo put Akari (Noboru's deadname) up for adoption after Umeko disappeared. It's also why Noboru has more "talent" for assassination than Maki. -Umeko designed and made stuffed toys for each of the siblings--Noboru got a classic brown teddy, Kurochi got a raccoon thief character he named "Lil Bandit", and Kokichi got a pilot bunny he named "Mr. Hopps." -Kurochi was a huge Mama's boy and whenever someone acts motherly towards him he gets shy and more obedient -The twins grew up cuddling to one another nearly every night due to their abuse, and they ended up continuing to share a bed as they traveled the world, so they never really outgrew sleeping in the same bed together, and they also hold hands like school children and drag each other around a lot. -The Twins have a taste disorder where they cannot taste food, so they eat insanely spicy foods and crunchy foods.

Shrimp

Ok so Shrimp is public enemy #1 and I love him. He's the funny little guy you see on your loading screen during the game who you don't think much of until eventually you find an asylum on one of the floors of the Upturned Inn and oops! Shrimp is there! And you need to free him to progress, which Ik is alarmed by even though you can also just tell him you didn't see/free Shrimp. You can put a collar on this little guy to make him look snazzy, despite how little he's with you. On the floors where he's friendly he kind of just follows you around, so you get to have a little buddy for parts of the game! He's basically just your pet dog who may or may not be severely dangerous. And by may or may not I mean a definite yes he is, because he turns aggressive when he gets especially hungry. He can eat the food objects scattered around, though, so that's avoidable! He can also stay with you for nice little elevator rides, which does concern Ik, but it works out! until he starts trying to attack you but if you don't feed your dog then I don't care if it attacks you

Suren Darga

so obscure the DC wiki doesn't even have an article on him. just a little guy!!! almost ended the world that one time but he was being manipulated by his evil dad so. latched onto the first people that were honest with him even though they'd been his mortal enemies (one of them his ANCESTRAL enemy) up until then. was in ONE (1) comic run, like 3 issues total.
