Finarfin Fades.

No one expects it, no one’s faded in Valinor since Miriel. The War of Wrath is won and he comes back, waving off the courtiers, well wishers, and congratulators with his usual grace, and walks into the palace of Tirion. To rooms abandoned since their owners left so long ago. Winding deeper and deeper his feet take him to what was once Finwë’s favourite garden.

He’s so tired.

He’s fulfilled his promise to Fëanaro and Nolofinwë, to avenge them. To make the agony of their final moments - agony Finarfin felt, falling to the floor screaming as fire and darkness consumed his spirit - count for something. Now Morgoth is finally gone, but he’s not the only one.

His brothers, larger than life, larger than death, are gone. With them his sons. Niece. Nephews. Grandchildren. His daughter is never to return. He Saw little Nelyo’s death in his dreams and is sure hopes for the child’s own sake that Makalaurë will be close behind.

Little remains. Even less on these golden shores.

So Finarfin sits on a bench long overgrown with vines and weeds, and watches the sun filter through the thicket, wishing the ghosts he sees in his father’s garden would flesh out.

He sits. He waits.

And by the time anyone finds him, it’s too late.

…at least he’s smiling again.

*very early morning, the next day*

*odysseus is making his way back down to the hidden cove*

(he totally wasn't kicked sent out their marriage bed by penelope, who was giggling to herself saying how "he should be excited to go and invite his friend to family dinner")

odysseus: *mumbling to himself* how do you even invite a god to a dinner? especially one that hunted you for 10 years?

odysseus: *arrives at the cove's beach*

odysseus: *sighs* well here goes nothing

odysseus: *looking out to the sea* poseidon! i again need to speak with you about something!

*unlike last time poseidon doesn't appear straight away*

odysseus: poseidon!

*still nothing*

odysseus: *rolling his eyes* do i really have to?

odysseus: *red eyes activated* POSEIDO-

*the water starts moving and poseidon is coming out it, and looks...sleepy?*

poseidon: *holding up his hands* i'm here! i'm here! please turn off the red eyes...

odysseus: *red eyes deactivated*

odysseus: ...well what took you so long to answer? you're normally much quicker

poseidon: *yawning* gods sleep too y'know?

odysseus: *surprised* ...oh, uh-

poseidon: -let's just get to the point. what do you need this time, king of ithaca?

odysseus: um.. dinner?

poseidon: *squinting at odysseus*

poseidon: *starts being salty* you woke me up before helios himself has taken to the sky? to get you DINNER?

odysseus: *starts being snarky back* oh yeah! my first thought of the day was, i could really go for dinner now instead of breakfast, GUESS I'D BETTER GO CALL POSEIDON

poseidon: *eye twitching* listen here you little shi-

odysseus: I'M INVITING YOU TO DINNER YOU-

poseidon: *pointing at odysseus* YOU JUST SAID "DINNER" NOTHING ELSE-

poseidon: *now confused* -wait, why are you inviting me to dinner?

odysseus: *sighing and holding the bridge of his nose* look telemachus wants to have a family dinner-

poseidon: *pointing at himself* family?!?

odysseus: -AND he wants me to invite my "friend"

poseidon:

poseidon: ...and if i refuse?

odysseus: *sighs again* look- i know we're not friends, but my son thinks we are.

odysseus: *now looking at poseidon* and as much as i hate to admit it, you really impressed him when he met you

odysseus: *looking down & speaking under his breath* hades knows why-

odysseus: *back to looking at poseidon* so im not gonna force you this time. but i am just going to ask you, if you would please come to dinner?

odysseus: *with pleading eyes* i understand you don't want to do it for me. however as a father speaking to another father, could you please do this for my son?

poseidon: *closes his eyes*

poseidon: *thinking he could just say no and go back home,,, but-*

poseidon: ... i accept.

odysseus: *in genuine shock* thank yo-

poseidon: *grins* i mean obviously your son is smarter than you, he sees just how great i am. clearly he gets that from his mother and not you.

odysseus: *regretting asking* (¬_¬)

poseidon: so when is this "family" dinner?

odysseus: tomorrow evening.

poseidon: tomorrow evening then. i will take my leave for now.

poseidon: *turning back to head back into the sea*

odysseus: *grins remembering something* oh i just remembered my son will be bringing his friend too

poseidon: *without looking back & waving his hand in a not worried motion* i'm not bothered by another mortal odysseus

odysseus: *shit-eating grin gets bigger* oh no, i'm sure you're not...

odysseus: *in a sing-song voice* this is however no mortal though~

poseidon: *stops*

poseidon: *turns with slight worry* what do you mean no mortal?

odysseus: oh you know, its only... athena.

poseidon: ATHENA?!

odysseus: well i'd best be getting back! don't forgot tomorrow evening poseidon!~

odysseus: *runs back to the palace laughing*

poseidon: ODYSSEUS OF ITHACA!

Natsuo has such polar bear vibes.

He’s stealthy and quiet one minute and a blizzard the next. It’s not a Himura or Todoroki trait, but something that belongs only to him.

Melting at the thought of him being ruled by the need to make sure Shouto eats. That he knows how to track food at night silently. That he can only stand out when it serves him.

He can’t really teach him how to make friends, but it’s a good thing the quirkless baby he meets up with at the park doesn’t have that reservation.

“Natsu, I’m really sorry,” Inko’s really nice; she smells like pinewood and spring breeze and hospital cleaningness. Natsuo likes those. “Izuku can’t come to play after all. I don’t have anyone to pick him up.”

“I can watch him! It’s good Shouto found someone to play with, and he’s been looking forward to the sleepover all week.”

Inko would say something, if not for the fact her baby is nestled under the teen’s arm, snuggling up to Shouto while they’re at it.

“Mrs. Midoriya, don’t laugh!” He doesn’t pout. Kids pout. He’s 10. He sulks. “I’m a totally reliable guardian.”

“No, I know,” Inko chuckles, “But they kinda look like your cubs in this position.”

And there’s really no other way to describe Shouto and Izuku for Natsuo, because they’re so clingy and grabby with him. Where he goes, they go. What he eats, they eat. If he sleeps, they sleep.

Baby Bakugou has been SEETHING at the guy picking up Deku from school everyday since that half and half bastard transferred.

Natsuo, maybe controversially, does freeze his hands for a few hours after he tried to convince Izuku to leave with him instead,

“Can’t be helped. Mama bears are possessive of their young.”

Is bending still a thing in modern au? Does zuko still have his scar? If yes how did he get it? Have ty lee's fans made up some wild theories about it? (Because let's be honest, parasocial fans have no boundaries for the CC or the CC's friends) What's Ozai's job in the au? Is he still Firelord? Does the Firelord even still exist as a concept?

i like to think of it as just a chill little au where they just get to be kids for the most part but also there's still bending and aang's still the avatar. but being the avatar is mostly just a ceremonial position here and his only real duties are mastering the four elements and participating in various rituals in the four nations. his guardian monk gyatso is adamant that he gets to grow up as a normal child and with no war looming on the horizon or looming spirit duties everyone's just like yeah okay. sure.

iroh's probably fire lord but being 'fire lord' is simply a ceremonial role equivalent to the being the head fire sage, but he steps down and passes the role on to his son lu ten after the death of his brother so he can go and help his sister-in-law with her children and pursue his other lifelong passion of owning his own tea shop.

ozai died under mysterious circumstances (read: ursa poisoned his tea) but since it happened right after zuko was admitted to the hospital with a terrible burn from 'firebending training gone wrong' everyone just sort of turns a blind eye to it and nodded their heads when it was announced he died of natural causes. she's put up with a lot of shit because she knows he won't let her divorce him without robbing her of her custody rights but laying a hand on one of her kids was a step too far, ozai. <3

zuko meets aang at the hospital (he broke his leg) gets adopted by a nine year old child. hi you're my friend now. no you don't have any say in this. want to see my marble trick? you're going to love it!

kudoichi + bkdk / dkbk au

An au where kudo is Bakugo's uncle and Katsuki asks him for advice on how to ask his crush (deku) out but the problem is that kudo has been pathetically in love with his boss's brother, yoichi, for a decade and still haven't done anything about it... So no help to Katsuki

Bakugou works as an intern in AFO's company (where kudo works) and deku works as an intern in all might's company (AFO's rival company) and he's very oblivious

And yoichi is a yoga instructor :)

Sam and Dean don't work with so many fan fiction tropes because they're just too weird. If Sam and Dean woke up handcuffed together, they already stand so close they probably wouldn't even notice. If there was 'only one bed' left in the motel room, they would probably fight obnoxiously over who would take the floor/couch for fifteen minutes before agreeing to just share the bed. And the whole time they'd be trying to give the other more of the blanket/space on the bed because they're just so weird. In a fuck or die situation, Sam and Dean would have no qualms about it whatsoever. Honestly they would probably pop a stiffy from being able to lend their body to ensure the other's survival at their own expense. Like, that's just how they are in the show. Fake dating? These two already act like an old married couple. If they started acting like they were dating, they would barely have to play anything up or do anything different. They're just that weird. Like, I'm telling you. Fan fiction tropes and Sam and Dean don't work. Because they're just so, so weird.

The multiverse can be very unfair.

In my AU, the boys; more specifically Leo and Mikey, haven’t really fully processed Splinters death. Even after all these years. It’s kinda easy to talk to other Splinters, since they’re manly shorter and grey.

But @0ddbugs and @coffinpal ‘s Redline Splinter just looks too much like Mikey’s papa.

With Leo, it’s more so keeping his memory alive. He wears one of Splinters old kimono’s as a way to deal with bad days. Though Y’Phorion and @probably-not-a-rutabaga ‘s mutant Chompy are here to brighten the mood!

Everyone would add some holiday flair to their already-existing outfits one way or another. Chrom literally has a Christmas alt in Heroes though so I just had to draw him in it. Ghirahim might have been extra for yeeting Pit but Chrom's outfit is the REAL extra thing here, good lord how does that cape even work KDJFHG
