"My l- Illumina... apologies. I- heard about your red meat allergy? I... came to check up on you & such."
The familiar deity was dressed very formally, &... not like he normally would. A buttoned up coat with a tailcoat, a jabot & ruffly ends of his sleeves. He had so many buckles so many buttons..
-@post-justice [GHOSTWALKER]
The deity was home. It looked maintained but there was no sign of the dove. There were multiple feathers around the area, some parts of..purple rock?…no…Illumina’s horn.
That was alarming…

Rest Your Wings, Angel
[Egobworder - @knight-of-winds ] Sunlight danced off the edge of a sharpened blade, the corpses of training dummies littering the floor as Follower breathed hard, deep pushes of his lungs kicking the air out of his throat. He’s been training for hours by now. Slash after slash another dummy would fall, a lifeless corpse that never even had life to begin with! The angel was pushing himself much harder than he usually would despite all of the teachings from his father. Lessons of patience, of pacing oneself and never straining one’s body. Although all of his father’s teachings were being thrown out the window in Follower’s mind, the world around him was nothing but a blur as he raised his blade up high, preparing to strike until… A dull thump could be heard. And the cause of said thump happened to be Follower himself! The angel was lying on his side, breathing hard and digging his nails into the freshly polished floor. Everything hurt. He knew how much he was straining himself, he knew that this would hurt the moment his body gave out. Although he hadn’t cared until now. Gods above, why did he let this happen? He closed his eyes, wings folding in on themselves. He could just lay here and rest, couldn’t he? Let the minutes pass away until he would eventually fall asleep from exhaustion. His eyelids felt heavy, his breathing slowly evening out as he tried to relax himself. His ears tried to hone in on anything around him. The gentle breeze, the birds chirping and… Footsteps approaching? His feathers fluffed up only briefly before a familiar voice rang out. “Follower! Are you around here somewhere?” Ego? What was he doing here? Gods above, he couldn’t let his boyfriend see him like this! Follower let out a small chirp as he tried to push himself up into a sitting position. But he couldn’t, his arms felt like jelly, and he flopped back down to the floor and let out a pained chirp. And said chirp alerted the same demon he was so desperately trying NOT to look weak in front of! Ego came running over, his smile dropping instantly the moment he noticed the weak and tired Follower on the floor. The canine knight hurried over and dropped down to his knees, hooking an arm under Follower to start lifting him up. “Follower?! What happened? Are you alright? By the name of Windforce, I will-” “Egobworder. Please.” Ego shut up instantly, tail pushing between his legs as he quietly continued to help Follower, getting the angel into a sitting position before sitting himself down beside his boyfriend, holding one of the angel’s hands in worry. The silence fell over the two, only being broken by the faint chirping of birds and Follower’s breathing slowly evening out. Silence, comfortable but uneasy. Ego gently squeezed Follower’s hand, interlocking his fingers with the angel’s talons before he finally decided to speak up. “Are you alright, dear?” Follower was quiet, his head tilting back slightly. He didn't really know what to say. Sure, he wasn’t okay! He really wasn’t! He’s been feeling stressed and uneasy recently but… He didn’t know why. He tried talking to his father about it, telling the deity he was feeling stressed and upset, but not even the comforting words of Illumina could help. Hell! Even the deity himself was struggling to figure out what was wrong with his own son, which saddened both of them honestly.
Follower tried heading off to his uncle’s temple as well. Sometimes a visit to Ghostwalker’s would help him during moments like this. Getting to walk through the silence of the graveyard, getting to watch his uncle work away at making the utmost perfect graves for the spirits to lie in was… Oddly peaceful for him, even if some would consider him strange for finding such peace in death. “Follower?” Ego’s voice broke the angel from his thoughts, his head wings flapping a little as he turned his head to look at the other knight. Oh how his heart broke when his blank purplish-white eyes gazed upon his lover. Ego looked worried, oh so very worried. Follower didn’t like that look, he didn’t like knowing Ego was upset over him. He leaned forward and hugged onto his boyfriend, closing his eyes and chirping softly as he felt Ego hug him back. This is what Follower needed, this felt nice. Did he really just need to be held? Did he just need someone to hold him and worry about for his stresses to slowly fade? He didn’t know. And quite frankly he didn’t care to figure it out as he buried his face into Ego’s neck, letting out little content chirps and coos as he relaxed in his lover’s arms, feeling Ego slowly move his hand up to one of his wings, fingers moving through his feathers and adjusting the ones that gotten out of whack. Follower really only allowed his father to touch and fix up his wings, but the way Ego so gently fixed his feathers. The way Follower felt a droplet of love with every touch of Ego’s warm fingers against his fluffy feathers just made him warm, made him feel like he was on cloud nine. Ego in general just made him feel that way. The way Ego was attentive towards him, how Ego always seemed ready and willing to drop whatever he was doing to come to his aid, how Follower couldn’t help but smile in his presence. Ego was his everything. The other knight may’ve not been the first demon he’s fallen for, but he knew Ego would be his last. The last and only love he’d ever yearn for. The others didn’t work out. One was already taken by an alternate version of himself and the Ego of his own world shattered him into the smallest pieces he could be. But this Ego? Oh how he loved him so much. So very very much. The angel couldn’t stop himself from adjusting his head, pressing a kiss onto the other knight’s cheek, tail feathers wagging as Ego’s tail began to wag as well, a smile pulling onto the lips of the teal demon. “Do you want to talk about what happened, birdie?” Ego’s question caused the purple demon to flush darkly, his face going back into the other’s neck as his wings folded in on themselves. “Stressed. Unsure as to why.” Short and clipped response, Ego was used to this. He hummed and patted Follower’s back, bringing the other closer in his hold. “Does me being here help at all?” “Yes.” Ego giggled, tail patting against the ground as he kissed the side of Follower’s head. “Do you want to head off your chambers, birdie?” Follower chirped gently and nodded, slowly getting up with the help of his lover. The canine knight locked arms with him, flashing Follower that usual charming smile of his. Follower couldn’t help himself from smiling as well, his smaller and shyer as the pair made their way out of the training area. “Follower?” “Yes?” “I love you. Please never forget that, alright?” “I will not. I love you as well, Egobworder.”
Both knights giggled a little as each other, making their way into the deity of light’s temple and vanishing down a hallway towards the angel’s sleeping chambers. Follower knew what he was in for. And he was excited to experience every moment of it.

“I thinketh I haveth stumbled in the wrong place….”
Illumina walked in, he looked like he was looking for something. His horn was now back to normal but wear it was broken off, the cracks were filled with black and gold like glue.
[for Abyss flute or Darkheart]
@angel-of-light
"You shouldn't be here...." -> A soft, feminine voice came from... Somewhere. This place was so odd, this wasn't like any normal deity temple. It was a whole ass CASTLE. A palace of darkness, cracked and withering away. Everything reeked of decay and impurity. -> A woman could be seen in the distance, hunched over slightly and gripping what appeared to be a beautifully decorated flute... She looked- Scared? Uncomfortable? It was hard to tell with that veil covering her face...

Tonight
Chapter 8: Total Eclipse of the Heart
Pairing: Rowena x reader
Characters: Rowena, reader
Summary: It was supposed to be a happy, carefree outing. After tonight, however, nothing will ever be the same for you and Rowena.
A/N: Huge thanks to @lordhellebore for helping me with Latin!
Editor: @rowenaisfabulous
EARLIER…
For a few moments everything was quiet. A cold, deafening calm settled on the nightclub. Not even a breath could be heard, or a heartbeat. Nothing. As if time had frozen, enveloped the world into stillness.
Then Rowena screamed, the magic that had built up inside of her tearing free. Bursting from its prison, finally unleashed. Wild. Unpredictable. Deadly.
She'd saved up spells for this very moment. Rehearsed them in her mind, went over every word of Latin, and made sure her pronunciation would be perfect and to the point. Yet, now that she was finally unchained, finally free of the iron that contained her, it was as if her mind were a blank, wiped clean of everything but one word: die.
She wanted the hunters to die. Wanted the Lumberjack and especially Mike to die. Painfully. Brutally. She wanted them to suffer, to spend their last moments in agony, for what they did — what they all collectively did — was unforgivable. They needed to pay.
All those lives lost. Your body wounded and mind broken. Rowena's heart shattered. All because of them.
They needed to reap what they sowed.
An eye for an eye.
A wound for a wound.
A life for a life.
Rowena's magic listened. It heard her call and listened, and broke out to fulfill its mission. To enact its revenge for being caged. For being unable to protect her when she needed it the most.
She stilled. The hands that gripped her arms mere moments ago were gone, their owners having backed away.
Smart boys.
It wouldn't save them, though. Nothing could save them anymore.
Muscles taut, body stiff as a statue, Rowena called on her magic once more. The familiar warmth washed over her, filled up her veins, spread over her body like welcome poison. Her skin tingled as energy rushed through her like electricity, tiny sparks tickling her skin, caressing it.
Home.
It felt like home.
Even as it twisted and coiled with her anger, with hate that seeped deep into her bones, her magic still made her feel comfortable. It was a part of her; had been for centuries. An organ, invisible but alive within her, needed, necessary for survival.
Die.
The word thundered in her mind, a firm, decisive echo.
Die!
Thunder rumbled in the sky, loud as an explosion, the walls of the nightclub shaking under its song. Rain fell free from the clouds, heavy droplets slamming into windows, rattling the glass. Wind howled like a pack of hungry wolves.
Die, die, die!
The windows burst open, flew from their hinges as if they weighed nothing, and landed amongst the bodies in a rain of glass and shattered frames. Bar stools flipped over. Glasses clattered, shattered on the ground.
The hunters whispered amongst themselves, shouted over the wail of the wind. "Stop," Rowena heard them say. "Enough!"
Och, how the tables have turned!
Their weapons were drawn. Aimed straight at her. Safety clicked off, ready to fire.
Bampots.
Bloody, amateur bampots.
"You stop this right now!" the Lumberjack shouted.
Rowena didn't dignify his question with a response. Instead, getting to her feet, letting the stool she was sitting on be blown away, she turned to him and smiled, wide and bright.
"You cunt!" he spat and pulled the trigger.
The others followed in his lead, a rain of bullets booming amidst the chaos.
Smile never leaving her face, Rowena put her hands up and commanded, "Finite!"
Stop.
And they did.
Over twenty bullets hung in the air as if held by invisible string. Frozen in place.
Rowena looked over the hunters, took in the shock on their faces, the fear painting their skin white as chalk. She let her hands fall to her sides, and with them the bullets tumbled to the ground.
They couldn't do anything to her now. Couldn't hurt her. Couldn't hurt you. She was the one with all the power now. And it terrified them to the bone, the same way their torment terrified her earlier.
Karma was a bitch.
She made eye contact with each and every one of them, threat clear in her eyes. Payback, it said. This was payback. It would hurt. Charles, it would hurt! Like nothing they'd ever felt before.
And it was all their fault.
They'd made their own beds. Now they had to lie in them.
"Morite," Rowena told them — commanded them with authority clear in her tone, accent thick in the word.
Die.
For a moment they just stared at her, frightened of what was to come.
Then they started screaming.
They screamed and screamed and screamed as if they were being torn apart from the inside. As if their organs were cooking and liquefying and burning within them. Blood rushed out of their eyes, then their noses and ears, and no doubt other orifices. Their hands slammed to their heads, some of them hugging themselves, some falling to their knees and clutching their stomachs as they cried like children.
Now they knew what it was like.
Now they knew what it was like to be scared, to be in pain and helpless to do anything to stop it.
Now they felt what she had felt. What you had felt.
Their screams were one with the wind. A cacophony of wails and whines and whimpers. Of gasps and sobs. Of pleas Rowena ignored just as they'd ignored hers.
It went on for minutes, but felt like hours. No doubt, for them, the agony must have felt like years. By the time they'd gone quiet, they were on the ground, sprawled about, curled up like fetuses. Blood pooled around them; their blood, staining their clothes, clinging to their skin, turning to jelly as minutes passed by.
They were dead. Gone. In Hell. Rowena let out a breath she'd been holding, one of relief. As she did so, the wind quieted down, and the clouds drifted apart, taking away the storm that boomed outside. Her head slumped forwards. Arms hung loose at her sides. She was weak, spent. Her heart slammed against her chest as if she'd run a marathon, almost to the point of pain.
"Rowena?" you said in a small voice, breaking the silence that had settled over.
She willed herself to look up, to meet your eyes.
"Are you okay?"
A small smile grazed her mouth. After everything, she was your first concern. Always had been.
"Aye," she said. She didn't sound it. "You?"
"I-I'm not feeling so well," you admitted.
Worried, Rowena rushed over to you, her arms instantly around you. You leaned your head on her shoulder. Closed your eyes. Released a puppy-like whimper, muffled by her shirt.
"It's alright," she said. "Everything will be alright."
Looking downwards, a lump bloomed in her throat. Your pants were still down, panties wrinkled, pulled to the side, halfway exposing you. She remedied it right away, reaching down to pull your pants right up.
You stiffened, petrified..
"It's alright," she repeated, heart shattering. Nothing was alright. Nothing would ever be alright again. Securing your pants around your waist, she said, "There we go. It's okay."
"I feel sick," you said.
Rowena pulled back and looked you over. "Would you like to sit down, love?"
You nodded.
However, as soon as she stepped away to fetch a chair, your hand fell on her forearm and squeezed.
"Rowena, I—"
Your knees gave way, and you tumbled downwards.
Rowena reacted fast, jumping forwards, arms out to catch you. Grabbing hold of you, she slid down to her knees and lowered your head atop her thighs.
"Poor dear," she whispered, caressing your hair, pushing hair off your sweaty forehead. "I'm sorry for letting you down."
If she'd fought harder, reacted faster, none of this would have happened. You wouldn't have suffered.
You'd protected her so many times, yet one time you needed her, she couldn't deliver. Couldn't return the favor.
I'm sorry, she thought. I am so sorry.
From now on, things would be different. She would be better; a better girlfriend, a better protector. She would never let you down again. As soon you got home—
A pang of panic shot through her.
How would she get you home? How would she take care of so many bodies?
She'd made bodies disappear before without issue, but never this many.
Sam.
That was right. Sam could help her. He and Dean could cover this up, make Illuminae disappear off the face of the earth.
The only question was, would they want to?
Rowena had helped them many times, but she knew well they weren't big on returning favours. Sam, maybe, but Dean… The man was waiting for her to make a mistake so he could put a bullet in her head. He never trusted her. Not even when he said he was willing to give her a chance to redeem herself. A part of him might have believed it to be true, but there was another, more doubtful part that would end her at the smallest slight.
Would he blame her for what happened?
Would he think she'd killed all these people, all these innocents?
Would Sam think so?
It didn't matter, she decided. They could blame her all they wanted, as long as they helped her get you home. She was a big girl; she could deal with Dean Winchester. She could deal with them both.
Reaching into her pocket with a shaky hand, Rowena grabbed her phone and started looking for Sam's number.
And then she pressed call.

March Wrap-Up
I read books 17 books in March! I did post a few individual reviews and have tagged them here in case you’re interested.
Gemina by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Moving to a space station at the edge of the galaxy was always going to be the death of Hanna’s social life. Nobody said it might actually get her killed
The sci-fi saga that began with the breakout bestseller Illuminae continues on board the Jump Station Heimdall, where two new characters will confront the next wave of the BeiTech assault.
Hanna is the station captain’s pampered daughter; Nik the reluctant member of a notorious crime family. But while the pair are struggling with the realities of life aboard the galaxy’s most boring space station, little do they know that Kady Grant and the Hypatia are headed right toward Heimdall, carrying news of the Kerenza invasion.
When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.
But relax. They’ve totally got this. They hope.
I just have so much love for this series. When I finally get to Obsidio and finish it (still waiting for the paperback), I’ll write a whole series review!
Asteria: Into the Fray by Adrienne Enfinger - ⭐⭐
It's not every day that your suicide attempt is interrupted by a handsome archangel. But then, nothing remains ordinary for long on the day Asteria meets Micah for the first time.
Talking her down from the ledge, Micah reveals to Asteria that she is no ordinary young woman. She is the descendant of nephilim - part angel, part human - and her parents did not die in a car crash, they were killed by the fallen angel, Azazel, in the eternal battle of good versus evil.
Asteria finds herself thrust into the middle of that war and discovers that she is part of a prophecy that can finally bring about its end - if Azazel does not kill her first.
She soon joins forces with angels, good and bad, in an epic battle that could save mankind...
...or bring about its demise
Not great… it definitely read like a fanfiction of Supernatural and the quality of writing was… ehhhhhh it was weird like Enfinger was trying too hard.
Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Moral allegory and spiritual autobiography, The Little Prince is the most translated book in the French language. With a timeless charm it tells the story of a little boy who leaves the safety of his own tiny planet to travel the universe, learning the vagaries of adult behaviour through a series of extraordinary encounters. His personal odyssey culminates in a voyage to Earth and further adventures.
Full review soon to follow!
Little Pills by Melody Dodds - ⭐⭐⭐
Seventeen-year-old Charlotte Navarro never asked to be anyone's hero. If you're a hero, your sister isn't supposed to hate you. And you're definitely not supposed to get hooked on Gramma's painkillers. Even so, Charlotte's sister's friend Mia looks at her like she's some sort of hero. As Charlotte starts taking pills more and more, she has to question how it could hurt herself and others, even Mia. Is it a harmless habit or a dangerous addiction?
Review here! Publication – 2nd April 2019
You Do You by Sarah Knight - ⭐⭐⭐
Being yourself should be easy, yet too many of us struggle to live on other people's terms instead of our own. Rather than feeling large and in charge, we feel little and belittled.
Sound familiar? Bestselling "anti-guru" Sarah Knight has three simple words for you:
YOU DO YOU.
It's time to start putting your happiness first--and stop letting other people tell you what to do, how to do it, or why it can't be done. And don't panic! You can do it without losing friends and alienating people. Knight delivers her trademark no-bullsh*t advice about:
The Tyranny of "Just Because"
The social contract and how to amend it
Turning "flaws" into strengths--aka "mental redecorating"
Why it's not your job to be nice
Letting your freak flag fly
How to take risks, silence the doubters, and prove the haters wrong
Review
Beauty Queens by Libba Bray - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The 50 contestants in the Miss Teen Dream pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras.
But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner.
What’s a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program - or wrestle snakes to the ground? Get a perfect tan - or learn to run wild? And what should happen when the sexy pirates show up?
Welcome to the heart of non-exfoliated darkness.
BWAHAHAHAHA THIS IS JUST MY TYPE OF HUMOUR!! Granted, my humour is a… specific brand so just beware going into this.
The Center of the Universe by Ria Voros - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Grace Carter's mother --- the celebrity news anchor GG Carter --- is everything Grace is not. She and her mother have always been in different orbits. Then one day GG is just ... gone. ReWired by S. R. Johannes - ⭐
Sixteen-year-old Ada Lovelace is never more alive and sure of herself than when she's hacking into a "secure" network as her alter ego, the Dark Angel. In the real world, Ada is broken, reeling from her best friend Simone's recent suicide. But online, the reclusive daughter of Senator Lovelace (champion of the new Online Privacy Bill) is a daring white hat hacker and the only female member of the Orwellians, an elite group responsible for a string of high-profile hacks against major corporations, with a mission to protect the little guy. Ada is swiftly proving she's a force to be reckoned with, when a fellow Orwellian betrays her to the FBI. To protect her father's career, Ada is sent to ReBoot, a technology rehab facility for teens...the same rehab Simone attended right before killing herself.
It's bad enough that the ReBoot facility is creepy in an Overlook-Hotel-meets-Winchester-Mansion way, but when Ada realizes Simone's suicide is just one in an increasingly suspicious string of "accidental" deaths and "suicides" occurring just after kids leave ReBoot, Ada knows she can't leave without figuring out what really happened to her best friend. The massive cyber conspiracy she uncovers will threaten everything she cares about--her dad's career, her new relationship with a wry, handsome, reformed hacker who gets under her skin, and most of all--the version of herself Ada likes best--the Dark Angel.
Uh yeah here’s my rant review. I just... yeah if you want to know what I thought just read the review I can’t be bothered to reiterate.
Zenith by Linday Cummings and Sasha Alsberg - ⭐⭐⭐
Most know Androma Racella as the Bloody Baroness, a powerful mercenary whose reign of terror stretches across the Mirabel Galaxy. To those aboard her glass starship, Marauder, however, she's just Andi, their friend and fearless leader.
But when a routine mission goes awry, the Marauder's all-girl crew is tested as they find themselves in a treacherous situation and at the mercy of a sadistic bounty hunter from Andi's past.
Meanwhile, across the galaxy, a ruthless ruler waits in the shadows of the planet Xen Ptera, biding her time to exact revenge for the destruction of her people. The pieces of her deadly plan are about to fall into place, unleashing a plot that will tear Mirabel in two.
Andi and her crew embark on a dangerous, soul-testing journey that could restore order to their shipor just as easily start a war that will devour worlds. As the Marauder hurtles toward the unknown, and Mirabel hangs in the balance, the only certainty is that in a galaxy run on lies and illusion, no one can be trusted.
You know what, not as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, it wasn’t anything special and I’m not very attached to the characters, but hey there are only two books so who knows maybe I’ll just finish the series.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
In Mary's world there are simple truths. The Sisterhood always knows best. The Guardians will protect and serve. The Unconsecrated will never relent. And you must always mind the fence that surrounds the village; the fence that protects the village from the Forest of Hands and Teeth. But, slowly, Mary’s truths are failing her. She’s learning things she never wanted to know about the Sisterhood and its secrets, and the Guardians and their power, and about the Unconsecrated and their relentlessness. When the fence is breached and her world is thrown into chaos, she must choose between her village and her future—between the one she loves and the one who loves her. And she must face the truth about the Forest of Hands and Teeth. Could there be life outside a world surrounded by so much death?
I knew I had a good feeling about this book. It’s eerie and I was stressing the fuck out the entire book about that dog’s wellbeing. 100% do recommend if you’re into brutal, creepy and dark books. Be forewarned, when I say dark, I mean DARK. Like zombie babies and children that are subsequently decapitated dark.
Losing Adam by Adrienne Clarke - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
What happens when the person you love most in the world suddenly becomes a stranger?
Adam and Jenny’s world is falling apart. Their dream of attending college together away from home quickly becomes a nightmare when Adam begins hearing the voice of the Snow Queen. Adam’s startling transformation from popular drama student into a withdrawn, suspicious stranger leaves Jenny frightened and confused. How can the person she loves most in the world suddenly become someone she doesn’t recognize? As Adam drifts farther and farther away into the Snow Queen’s mysterious world of ice and snow, Jenny believes she must fight to bring him back or risk losing him forever.
Holy fuck. This book probably has the most accurate representation of any mental illness I’ve seen in YA. Adam’s schizophrenia wasn’t watered down in the slightest and it wasn’t romanticized. I would have liked to read more of Adam’s perspective than Jenny’s since Adrienne Clarke writes mental illness so accurately. Does that make sense?
I liked that she gave us a look at how mental illness affects the individual in question, but also their loved ones. Although I would have preferred if we had focused more on Adam as for the reason above.
Whisper by Lynette Noni - ⭐⭐⭐
For two years, six months, fourteen days, eleven hours and sixteen minutes, Subject Six-Eight-Four — ‘Jane Doe’ — has been locked away and experimented on, without uttering a single word.
As Jane’s resolve begins to crack under the influence of her new — and unexpectedly kind — evaluator, she uncovers the truth about Lengard’s mysterious ‘program’, discovering that her own secret is at the heart of a sinister plot … and one wrong move, one wrong word, could change the world.

The Thirteenth Guardian by K.M. Lewis - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Da Vinci’s secret pales. Michelangelo concealed an explosive truth in his famous Creation of Man fresco in the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican. Everything we have been taught about Eve is wrong—she didn’t cause the fall of man. Instead, Eve carried a far more devastating secret for millennia; one that will change the world forever.
As the modern-day world suffers the cataclysmic effects of the “Plagues of Egypt”, Avery Fitzgerald, a statuesque Astrophysics major at Stanford, discovers that she is mysteriously bound to five strangers by an extremely rare condition that foremost medical experts cannot explain. Thrust into extraordinary circumstances, they race against time to stay alive as they are pursued by an age-old adversary and the world around them collapses into annihilation. Under sacred oath, The Guardians—a far more archaic and enigmatic secret society than the Freemasons, Templars, and the Priory—protect Avery as she embarks on a daring quest that only legends of old have been on before. Avery must come to terms with the shocking realization that the blood of an ancient queen flows through her veins and that the fate of the world now rests on her shoulders.

Review Here!
Angelfall by Susan Ee - ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It's been six weeks since angels of the apocalypse descended to demolish the modern world. Street gangs rule the day while fear and superstition rule the night. When warrior angels fly away with a helpless little girl, her seventeen-year-old sister Penryn will do anything to get her back.
Anything, including making a deal with an enemy angel.
Raffe is a warrior who lies broken and wingless on the street. After eons of fighting his own battles, he finds himself being rescued from a desperate situation by a half-starved teenage girl.
Traveling through a dark and twisted Northern California, they have only each other to rely on for survival. Together, they journey toward the angels' stronghold in San Francisco where she'll risk everything to rescue her sister and he'll put himself at the mercy of his greatest enemies for the chance to be made whole again.
Yesssssss I like this. I find that many angel stories are overdone or hyper-religious, but this, this seems pretty promising.
Dead of Night by Carlyle Labuschagne – ⭐
In a dark and desolated After Earth, love still does exist, but the cost of bearing such a flaw is death.
World War III has left Earth in utter turmoil. People’s beliefs are said to be the cause of the worldwide destruction. After The Clearing new laws are set about - to show certitude in anything besides the law is weak and chargeable as mutiny. To be illogical and have faith in religion is illegal, to be limitless is dangerous. And Illness is seen as a defect – all flaws that are inexcusable.
But to love is the greatest betrayal of all man kind. It is a fault the world has long forgotten and punishable by death, a fatal risk Aecker and Opel are fully prepared to take - because in love there is freedom. But how far can they push back before it claims their lives and of those they care about?
This is the worst book I’ve read in my entire life.
Oh my god it was just so bad I don’t even know where to start. There is no plot, the characters are flat, every single scene was chaotic (I swear I got [metaphorical] whiplash), and it ends out of fucking nowhere. I thought I was missing part of my copy then ending was so sudden.
The world development was non-existent, and I was just confused all the way through.
I would write an individual review on this since I received it in exchange for an honest review, but honestly, this is all I have to say. I’m not even entirely sure as to what happened.
Unfortunately, 0 stars is not an option on Goodreads, so I had to stick with one even though I don’t think it deserves it.
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga – ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Jasper "Jazz" Dent is a likable teenager. A charmer, one might say.
But he's also the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, Take Your Son to Work Day was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could—from the criminal's point of view.
And now bodies are piling up in Lobo's Nod.
In an effort to clear his name, Jazz joins the police in a hunt for a new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret—could he be more like his father than anyone knows?
Yessss another thriller. I love the internal conflict Jazz is dealing with and it’s expertly woven in with the plot. Would recommend, and will definitely be continuing on with the series!
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen – ⭐⭐
Since its immediate success in 1813, Pride and Prejudice has remained one of the most popular novels in the English language. Jane Austen called this brilliant work "her own darling child" and its vivacious heroine, Elizabeth Bennet, "as delightful a creature as ever appeared in print." The romantic clash between the opinionated Elizabeth and her proud beau, Mr. Darcy, is a splendid performance of civilized sparring. And Jane Austen's radiant wit sparkles as her characters dance a delicate quadrille of flirtation and intrigue, making this book the most superb comedy of manners of Regency England.
You know… it’s a classic. I don’t really like classics. I feel like I need to read them you know? Oh well.
Everyone’s a Aliebn when ur a Aliebn Too by Jomny Sun - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Here is the unforgettable story of Jomny, an alien sent to study Earth. Always feeling apart, even among his species, Jomny feels at home for the first time among the earthlings he meets. There is a bear tired of other creatures running in fear, an egg struggling to decide what to hatch into, a turtle hiding itself by learning camouflage, a puppy struggling to express its true feelings, and many more.
The characters are unique and inventive—bees think long and hard about what love means, birds try to eat the sun, nothingness questions its own existence, a ghost comes to terms with dying, and an introverted hedgehog slowly lets Jomny see its artistic insecurities. At the same time, Jomny’s curious presence allows these characters to open up to him in ways they were never able to before, revealing the power of somebody who is just there to listen.
Oh my god this was just so cute and filled with so many important messages than hit very close to home. New favourite for sure.
Number of books read: 17
Number of pages read: 5806
Average Pages per Book : 341.5
Average rating: 3.4
Favourite book of the month: Gemina by Amy Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I love love love the Illuminae files! Definitely my favourite sci-fi series to date.
Least favourite book of the month: Dead of Night by Carlyle Labuschange. It’s just so bad, you guys.

In no particular order!
Turtles All the Way Down by John Green finished
It all begins with a fugitive billionaire and the promise of a cash reward. Turtles All the Way Down is about lifelong friendship, the intimacy of an unexpected reunion, Star Wars fan fiction, and tuatara. But at its heart is Aza Holmes, a young woman navigating daily existence within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling finished
The Dursleys were so mean and hideous that summer that all Harry Potter wanted was to get back to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike
And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockhart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny.
But each of these seem minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone -- or something -- starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects . . . Harry Potter himself?
The Doll in the Garden: A Ghost Story by Mary Downing Hahn finished
When Ashley discovers a turn-of-the-century doll it is just the first of several puzzling events that lead her through the hedge and into a twilight past where she meets Louise, an ailing child whose beloved doll has mysteriously disappeared.
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare finished
The year is 1878. Tessa Gray descends into London’s dark supernatural underworld in search of her missing brother. She soon discovers that her only allies are the demon-slaying Shadowhunters—including Will and Jem, the mysterious boys she is attracted to. Soon they find themselves up against the Pandemonium Club, a secret organization of vampires, demons, warlocks, and humans. Equipped with a magical army of unstoppable clockwork creatures, the Club is out to rule the British Empire, and only Tessa and her allies can stop them...
Bad Girls Don’t Die by Katie Alender finished
Alexis thought she led a typically dysfunctional high school existence. Dysfunctional like her parents' marriage; her doll-crazy twelve-year-old sister, Kasey; and even her own anti-social, anti-cheerleader attitude. When a family fight results in some tearful sisterly bonding, Alexis realizes that her life is creeping from dysfunction into danger. Kasey is acting stranger than ever: her blue eyes go green sometimes; she uses old-fashioned language; and she even loses track of chunks of time, claiming to know nothing about her strange behavior. Their old house is changing, too. Doors open and close by themselves; water boils on the unlit stove; and an unplugged air conditioner turns the house cold enough to see their breath in.
Alexis wants to think that it's all in her head, but soon, what she liked to think of as silly parlor tricks are becoming life-threatening--to her, her family, and to her budding relationship with the class president. Alexis knows she's the only person who can stop Kasey -- but what if that green-eyed girl isn't even Kasey anymore?
True Calling by Siobhan Davis finished
Welcome to Novo: Your new home in Space
For Ariana Skyee, Planet Novo was everything it promised to be until the authorities introduced "The Calling" as their response to repopulation. Now, all seventeen-year-olds are to participate in this Bachelor-style pageant to find their perfect match, marry, and have children.
But that’s not Ariana’s only concern. Thanks to the government-sanctioned memory erase, she has no recollection of Zane, the mystery boy who haunts her dreams. Things are further complicated when the pageant commences and her feelings for fellow Cadet Cal Remus intensify. Together, they start to realize not everything about their new home is as it seems.
Entangled in a dangerous web of deceit, Ariana sets out to identify the truth. Conflicted over warnings that Cal isn’t trustworthy and alarmed at the government's increasing interest in her, she doesn’t know where to turn. But her search for the truth comes at a high personal price. When her world implodes, discovering the past shapes her future with devastating consequences.
TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS. ONE SHARED DREAM.
Wolfheart: A Heartblaze Novelette by Shay Roberts finished
Ash, a high school senior from a broken home, performs an act of kindness that forces her into hiding. Now she’s living in the woods, training dogs to guard livestock. She soon discovers that she’s not alone in the forest. A dark, malignant beast is preying on her beloved animals. As Ash edges toward despair, a mysterious stranger appears…
Magnus, a werewolf from the nearby town of Corby, claims he is hunting the beast, but he knows more that he’s saying. His connection to Ash, and his desire for her, take her by surprise.
Their forbidden attraction captures the attention of Corby’s dangerous Gray Wolves, a council of elder shifters determined to keep humans and werewolves apart. If necessary, they won’t hesitate to eliminate Ash, if the beast doesn’t get her first.
To survive, Ash must balance the needs of her heart with the necessities of survival. If she fails, she’ll meet a gruesome end in a forest without pity.
Illuminae by Amie Kaufamn and Jay Kristoff finished

Now, with enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra are forced to fight their way onto one of the evacuating craft, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But the warship could be the least of their problems. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their biggest threat; and nobody in charge will say what's really going on. As Kady plunges into a web of data hacking to get to the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: Ezra.

Books you should read because I LOVE THEM
Dedication: For @kissmybruisedknuckles who told me to make this because she’s too lazy to make one lol
1. Strange The Dreamer - Laini Taylor
The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around—and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old he’s been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself, in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.
What happened in Weep two hundred years ago to cut it off from the rest of the world? What exactly did the Godslayer slay that went by the name of god? And what is the mysterious problem he now seeks help in solving?
2. The Night Circus - Erin Morgenstern
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it, no paper notices plastered on lampposts and billboards. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within these nocturnal black-and-white striped tents awaits an utterly unique, a feast for the senses, where one can get lost in a maze of clouds, meander through a lush garden made of ice, stare in wonderment as the tattooed contortionist folds herself into a small glass box, and become deliciously tipsy from the scents of caramel and cinnamon that waft through the air.
Welcome to Le Cirque des Rêves.
3. Unwind - Neil Shusterman
The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state, is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive.
4. Cinder - Marissa Meyer
Sixteen-year-old Cinder is considered a technological mistake by most of society and a burden by her stepmother. Being cyborg does have its benefits, though: Cinder's brain interference has given her an uncanny ability to fix things (robots, hovers, her own malfunctioning parts), making her the best mechanic in New Beijing. This reputation brings Prince Kai himself to her weekly market booth, needing her to repair a broken android before the annual ball. He jokingly calls it "a matter of national security," but Cinder suspects it's more serious than he's letting on.
5. This Savage Song - Victoria Schwab
Kate Harker and August Flynn are the heirs to a divided city—a city where the violence has begun to breed actual monsters. All Kate wants is to be as ruthless as her father, who lets the monsters roam free and makes the humans pay for his protection. All August wants is to be human, as good-hearted as his own father, to play a bigger role in protecting the innocent—but he’s one of the monsters. One who can steal a soul with a simple strain of music. When the chance arises to keep an eye on Kate, who’s just been kicked out of her sixth boarding school and returned home, August jumps at it. But Kate discovers August’s secret, and after a failed assassination attempt the pair must flee for their lives.
6. The Darkest Part of The Forest - Holly Black
Children can have a cruel, absolute sense of justice. Children can kill a monster and feel quite proud of themselves. A girl can look at her brother and believe they’re destined to be a knight and a bard who battle evil. She can believe she’s found the thing she’s been made for.
Hazel lives with her brother, Ben, in the strange town of Fairfold where humans and fae exist side by side. At the center of it all, there is a glass coffin in the woods. It rests right on the ground and in it sleeps a boy with horns on his head and ears as pointed as knives. Hazel and Ben were both in love with him as children. The boy has slept there for generations, never waking.
7. Red Queen - Victoria Aveyard
This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.
The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change. That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.
8. Daughter of Smoke and Bone - Laini Taylor
In a dark and dusty shop, a devil’s supply of human teeth grows dangerously low. And in the tangled lanes of Prague, a young art student is about to be caught up in a brutal otherworldly war.
Meet Karou. She fills her sketchbooks with monsters that may or may not be real, she’s prone to disappearing on mysterious "errands", she speaks many languages - not all of them human - and her bright blue hair actually grows out of her head that color. Who is she? That is the question that haunts her, and she’s about to find out.
9. Illuminae - Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit.
BRIEFING NOTE: Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more
10. Legend - Marie Lu
What was once the western United States is now home to the Republic, a nation perpetually at war with its neighbors. Born into an elite family in one of the Republic's wealthiest districts, fifteen-year-old June is a prodigy being groomed for success in the Republic's highest military circles. Born into the slums, fifteen-year-old Day is the country's most wanted criminal. But his motives may not be as malicious as they seem.
From very different worlds, June and Day have no reason to cross paths—until the day June's brother, Metias, is murdered and Day becomes the prime suspect. Caught in the ultimate game of cat and mouse, Day is in a race for his family's survival, while June seeks to avenge Metias's death. But in a shocking turn of events, the two uncover the truth of what has really brought them together, and the sinister lengths their country will go to keep its secrets.
11. Angelfall (Penryn and the end of days) - Susan Ee
12. Caraval - Stephanie Garber
Remember, it’s only a game…
Scarlett Dragna has never left the tiny island where she and her sister, Tella, live with their powerful, and cruel, father. Now Scarlett’s father has arranged a marriage for her, and Scarlett thinks her dreams of seeing Caraval—the faraway, once-a-year performance where the audience participates in the show—are over.
But this year, Scarlett’s long-dreamt-of invitation finally arrives. With the help of a mysterious sailor, Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only, as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval’s mastermind organizer, Legend. It turns out that this season’s Caraval revolves around Tella, and whoever finds her first is the winner.
13. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer - Michelle Hodkin
Mara Dyer believes life can't get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her strangely unharmed.
There is.
14. An Ember In The Ashes - Sabaa Tahir
Laia is a slave. Elias is a soldier. Neither is free.
Under the Martial Empire, defiance is met with death. Those who do not vow their blood and bodies to the Emperor risk the execution of their loved ones and the destruction of all they hold dear. It is in this brutal world, inspired by ancient Rome, that Laia lives with her grandparents and older brother. The family ekes out an existence in the Empire’s impoverished backstreets. They do not challenge the Empire. They’ve seen what happens to those who do.
15. The Darkest Minds - Alexandra Bracken
When Ruby woke up on her tenth birthday, something about her had changed. Something frightening enough to make her parents lock her in the garage and call the police. Something that got her sent to Thurmond, a brutal government “rehabilitation camp.” She might have survived the mysterious disease that had killed most of America’s children, but she and the others emerged with something far worse: frightening abilities they could not control.
16. The Wrath and The Dawn - Renee Ahdieh
One Life to One Dawn.
In a land ruled by a murderous boy-king, each dawn brings heartache to a new family. Khalid, the eighteen-year-old Caliph of Khorasan, is a monster. Each night he takes a new bride only to have a silk cord wrapped around her throat come morning. When sixteen-year-old Shahrzad's dearest friend falls victim to Khalid, Shahrzad vows vengeance and volunteers to be his next bride. Shahrzad is determined not only to stay alive, but to end the caliph's reign of terror once and for all.

He's in Playground right now. Someone tricked him into coming into the forest between Playground and Thieves' Den and injured him. Like- Really badly. Someone tried to skin his wings, Lumi! And the person who did it used Follower's love for Star against him to trick him. The demon who did it was captured by Playground's knights. It's- It's a really long story. But Follower's injured. - @simply-windy
“S-skin-…what horrible torture-“
Illumina covered his mouth. Sure he’s had plenty of wing injuries. Mangled, shredded, torn, broken, shattered…but skinned? What horrible monster would do such a thing.
“M-must get to him-“
He ran out of the room trying to find a way out…oh no. He had no idea where he was going. He couldn’t fly or teleport. The Infinity’s plane felt like a wasteland to him…

1. Listen to Audiobooks
I don’t listen to audiobooks often because I finish books faster on my own but every once in a while I do enjoy them. I think there a wonderful way to get out of a reading slump if there good.
Reccomendations:
The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Megan Spooner
2. Re-reading a Favorite Book
I found that sometimes you just need to start enjoying books again, a great way to do that is by re-reading a book that you already love. I would choose one that you maybe haven’t read in a while, this is a great way to get reacquainted with it. Also if there is a book series you still need to continue but have yet to (like when a new release in series comes out) this is the perfect time.
Reccomendations:
The Wrath & the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
A Court of Thorn and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
3. Choose the Right Book
When your in a reading slump, sometimes you just need to find the correct type of book to read. For this I would recommend you choose a short book that’s very interesting. Also when trying to choose what book to read don’t force yourself to read a book, when your not interested in something, try it another time.
Reccomendations:
Breathe by Abbi Glines
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines
4. Take a Break from Reading
Sometimes when you just can’t get into a book no matter what you try, you just need to take a break from reading. I do this all of the time, sometimes it could spand from only a day or sometimes longer. Every once in a while I can read small bits in this time but I don’t force myself to do something I’m not in the mood for.
5. Watch Booktube
Watching other people talk about books always makes me in the mood to read, I love watching other people get excited about books, and you might find a book that one of your favorite booktubes loved and that excites you too.
Booktube Reccomendations:

@Hailey in Bookland

6. Get Comfy
My last recomedation to help you get out of a reading slump is to find a comfy place to read. Make sure that it’s quiet where you won’t experience any interruptions, and that there is somewhere you can lay/ or sit. For me this is on a car trailer out side my house, in my bed, or in my chair.
6 Tips to Overcome a Reading Slump! 1. Listen to Audiobooks I don't listen to audiobooks often because I finish books faster on my own but every once in a while I do enjoy them.

CREATIVITY MONDAYS: Belle drawing
We all know the Disney movies of Beauty and the Beast whether it included Paige O’hara or Emma Watson and Josh Gad. But Beauty and the Beast was an actual book. So its open to interpretation if this weeks Creativity Mondays is a book or movie drawing. I got some inspiration from one of my favourite artists: Mei Yu from her youtube channel: Fun2Draw.
Something to know about me is that Beauty and the Beast is one of my all time favourite Disney movies. Belle being my favourite Disney princess not just because she was pretty and she cared a lot about the beast and looked past his appearance, it’s that she loved BOOKS (coming in close to showing Gaston who rules the provincial town of course!)
Just an update, Turtles all the way down is going to be reviewed this week and posted soon then hopefully I will either read Dreams of Gods and Monsters, Illuminae, Warcross, Siege and Storm, The Selection, These Broken Stars, School for Good and Evil or City of Fallen Angels. But at this stage I have no idea what I should read next. As you can see I have a huge “selection” (that was terrible)

Revive Booklr Tag
Thanks to @gracebook-page for tagging me in this!
Rules: If tagged, answer the original questions and either add to the list or delete some (if you’d like), then tag some more people.
Which book are you currently reading? I’m currently reading Earthrise, the third book in the Earthbound trilogy, by Aprilynne Pike.
what’s the best beverage when reading? This depends on the time of year really. If it’s cold and wintry then a hot chocolate usually goes down well but if it’s warmer, I usually go for lemonade or a smoothie maybe.
What’s your Hogwarts house? Slytherin!!
If you could get on a plane right now, where would you go? (Yes, fictional places are good as well. You could also travel via wardrobe/plane etc.) I would definitely go to the Cirque des Reves from The Night Circus.
When do you put up your Christmas decorations? I feel I may be a little late to the party in doing this tag, but I shall answer it anyway! I usually put them up around the middle of December.
Are there any books you want to recommend to the rest of us? Basically any book by Patrick Ness. Failing that, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, November 9 by Colleen Hoover or The Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.
What book do you want for the holidays? Again, little late. However, I did want the final two books in The Queen of the Tearling trilogy and I got them so happy days!
What is your favourite nonfiction subject to read? I don’t tend to read a lot of nonfiction but I do enjoy books which tend to be released along with movies, telling you all about how they are made etc. It’s usually just an excuse for me to nerd out over said movie for a bit longer!
What types of book covers do you find most aesthetically pleasing? I usually think sometimes simpler is better when trying to make nice covers. Any books with faces on the cover though are usually a definite no from me.
Favourite book you’ve read this year? (Assuming this means 2016), Illuminae and Gemina (both by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff), November 9 (by Colleen Hoover), Monsters of Men (by Patrick Ness), Lady Midnight (by Cassandra Clare), Red Queen (by Victoria Aveyard), This Savage Song (by VE Schwab), The Queen of the Tearling (by Erika Johansen)...I couldn’t possibly narrow it down to one!
If you set yearly goals for yourself, how many books would you like to read in 2017? I upped my reading challenge by only a few this year so I’ve set my overall goal at 40. @daughterofbooksandmonsters also came up with a very good idea to not necessarily try and read more books this year but try and read more pages so the pressure isn’t on to try and get books finished as quick as possible - I’m definitely joining in with you on this one Lottie!
Who are some of your book boyfriends and/or girlfriends? Prince Cal from the Red Queen series *inserts love heart eyes emoji*. I also really like Noah Shaw from the Mara Dyer series, Alex from the Angel series, Collie from the Broken trilogy and obviously Newt Scamander. I’m also chucking Julian Blackthorn from The Dark Artifices into this because I think he just needs a good cuddle!
I’m also adding onto the end of this list: What’s your most anticipated release for 2017?
I tag: @graceful-in-green, @alibraryismyparadise, @houseofboooks, @tilly-and-her-books, @mariethelibrarian

Hello and Happy Halloween!! 👻🎃🍂
To celebrate Halloween and the last day of Blogtober/Blogoween, for today’s post I’m going to be playing Bonded, Bewitched, Drowned, which is the Halloween equivalent of Kiss, Marry, Kill! This prompt was originally created by Fictionally Sam, and I was tagged by Mandy @ Devouring Books to do this fun challenge!
There aren’t really any rules for how you decide which characters to use, but all the books I’ve chosen for this challenge are completely randomized, and I’ve just decided to choose the main, male character from each book to make things easier.
Okay, here we go!
Round One
Okay, so the books I randomly picked for round one are:
Jack from Clara Snow
Joseph from The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott
Todd from Christy Miller Vol. 4
Oh boy, this is a hard one! When I read The Lost Summer of Louisa May Alcott, Joseph was one of my favorite love interests of the entire year! Meanwhile, Todd is such a sweetheart, though. And then there’s Jack Frost! He experienced so much character growth in this book.
Bonded: Joseph
Bewitched: Todd
Drowned: Jack (Sorry Jack!)
Round Two
Ezra from Illuminae
Tarver from These Broken Stars
Adam from If I Stay
This round is slightly easier! I’ll be honest, I didn’t love These Broken Stars (I found it boring 🙊), so I don’t remember much about Tarver. Because of that, it makes it a lot easier for me to do this:
Bonded: Ezra
Bewitched: Adam
Drowned: Tarver
Round Three
Gilbert from Anne of the Island
Jake from Angel Eyes
Sam from Emergency Contact
This one is actually pretty easy because while I love all three characters, there’s really no contest about who’s my favorite. 🤷🏼♀️
Bonded: Jake
Bewitched: Gilbert (we all saw that coming! 😂)
Drowned: Sam (Sorry Sam! I just like Gil and Jake more than you!)
Round Four
Christian from The Summer of Chasing Mermaids
Galen from Of Poseidon
Four from Divergent
I admit, it’s been so long since I’ve read Of Poseidon that I don’t remember the book, or Galen that well. I almost thought I should pick another book, but then I realized that maybe it’s a good thing I don’t remember him. 😏😭
Bonded: Christian
Bewitched: Four
Drowned: Galen
This was such a fun post to create! I hope you had as much fun reading it as I had writing it. 🙂
I tag anyone who wants to do this, and if you decide to do it, please let me know so I can see your answers!!
Thanks so much for reading!
