Guys, buckle up for a spooky story with a twist - Night Shift (2018) isn't your average horror flick. Directed by Stephen Hall, this British film throws a young woman named Amy into a time loop nightmare, and it's equal parts gripping and thought-provoking (with a dash of jump scares, ofc!).

Acting Performance: Ashleigh Dorrell is fantastic as Amy, carrying the film on her shoulders with raw emotion and believable terror. You'll feel every scream, every panicked breath with her.

Cinematography: The claustrophobic hallways and dimly lit rooms create a chilling atmosphere, immersing you in Amy's inescapable nightmare.

Overall Reception: Critics praised the film's originality and Liane's performance, but some found the ending confusing. Still, it's a unique and unsettling experience worth checking out for horror fans.

Personal Rating : Let's be honest, Night Shift isn't exactly a horror heavyweight. With a reported budget of a used Honda Civic ($1.5 million, folks), it wears its low-fi origins like a threadbare bathrobe. Shaky cam stalks the hallways, shadows sometimes swallow scenes whole, and the special effects budget went on… well, maybe a convincing cup of coffee.

Jump scares are there, but more of the "did my screen just glitch?" variety than genuine "oh crap, my pants!" moments.

In the end, Night Shift is a valiant effort on a shoestring budget. It has heart, some solid performances, and a time loop premise with potential. But its wonky execution, confusing narrative, and unsatisfying conclusion leave it feeling like a B-movie playing in a haunted VHS player.
