Mikhail and Razalina, despite being "the smart ones" (scientist and mechanic) constantly do dumb shit. "Dumb shit" can mean anything from accidentally coming out as a lesbian to your mom from 300 light years away to finishing a rebellion and marrying a werewolf mafia boss to mass felony arson.

Tiernan is not pleased about any of these things.

Anyway here’s what the graves in Dreamflux Reef say

Someone has to step up and save Lushaka, Mikhail’s grandfather’s words echo in his head. So why can’t it be me, Misha?

It’s these words that propel him forward. “Hanunue,” Mikhail reaches up to grasp his shoulder, “I’m going to help you.”

“Why is that the only time you don’t try to speak for us, it’s something we all agree on?” Tiernan grumbles before drawing himself up, spine straight and arms by his sides. Razalina nods beside him, determination set in her face despite her brush with death. “The Astral Express is honored to lend you their aid.”

Hanunue slowly turns to face them, guarded but anticipating.

“Mikhail Char Legwork.” Mikhail extends his hand. “Breukelen Tiernan, Razalina Jane Estella.”

Hanunue takes it in silence. His fur, even slick with blood and medicine, is warm against Mikhail’s palm.
