What a fantastic job! Roof had many years worth of build up of moss. Quote obtained. Prompt arrival to do the work as arranged..Great communication. Moss was professionally removed by Grant and then biocide was applied. Work took two days. All well cleared up at the end of each day. Result is the roof looks like new and is a completely different colour. Highly recommended!

Roof moss removal, gutters and fascias cleaned. Our roof was not suitable for steam cleaning so the moss was physically scraped off and a biocide applied. There were interruptions for the weather conditions but the guys worked around these and the job was completed on time leaving the roof, gutters and fascias in a great condition. This was a big job and they worked through it speedily and professionally. As I would have expected, there were a few “snagging” points to return to the following week but there was no argument over this and they returned immediately for half a day to sort out the handful of small issues that we wanted them to attend to.

Very professional and helpful, clean and tidy - would definately recommend.
Have included a photo of the quantity of moss that was removed (we asked for it to be left behind to break down back into the soil).

How Often Should You Get Your Roof Cleaned In Bournemouth?
Consistent roof cleaning is an essential component of home upkeep, safeguarding both the visual charm and structural soundness of your property. The optimal frequency for roof cleaning is contingent on factors like climate, proximity to trees, and the roofing material employed. As a general guideline, experts advise performing roof cleaning at least once a year to thwart the build-up of debris, mold, and algae.
One primary reason to clean your roof regularly is to extend its lifespan. Over time, leaves, branches, and other debris can accumulate on the roof, creating a breeding ground for moss and algae. These organisms can retain moisture and lead to the deterioration of roofing materials, potentially causing leaks and other structural issues. By removing this debris and preventing the growth of harmful organisms, you can safeguard your roof from long-term damage and costly repairs.
Furthermore, a clean roof enhances the curb appeal of your home. Stains, moss, and algae not only compromise the integrity of your roof but also create an unsightly appearance. Regular cleaning helps maintain the visual appeal of your property, preserving its value and contributing to the overall aesthetic of the neighborhood.
In regions with high humidity, where mold and algae thrive, more frequent roof cleaning may be necessary. Additionally, homes surrounded by trees may require more frequent attention due to the accumulation of leaves and branches.
Overall, the investment in regular roof cleaning pays off in the form of a longer-lasting, visually appealing, and structurally sound roof. By adopting a proactive approach to roof maintenance, homeowners can protect their investment and ensure that their homes remain safe and attractive for years to come.

How Can You Clean My Roof In Bournemouth?
There are several methods for cleaning a roof, each suited to different types of roofing materials and levels of dirt or debris buildup. Here are three common ways to clean a roof:
Pressure Washing: Pressure washing involves using a high-pressure water spray to remove dirt, debris, moss, algae, and other contaminants from the roof surface. It’s important to adjust the pressure to a level that won’t damage the roofing material. Pressure washing can be effective for metal, tile, and asphalt shingle roofs, but it should be done carefully to avoid dislodging shingles or causing water intrusion.
Chemical Cleaning: Chemical cleaning involves applying specialized cleaning solutions or biocides to the roof to break down and remove algae, moss, and other organic growth. These chemicals are typically allowed to sit for a certain period to loosen the contaminants before being rinsed off with water. Chemical cleaning can be suitable for asphalt shingle and tile roofs, but it’s important to use environmentally-friendly products and follow proper application guidelines to prevent damage to the roofing material and surrounding vegetation.
Manual Cleaning: For delicate roofing materials or roofs with a low slope, manual cleaning is a safer option. This method involves physically removing debris, leaves, moss, and algae using gentle tools such as soft brushes, brooms, and plastic scrapers. It’s a more time-consuming method, but it allows for greater control over the cleaning process and minimizes the risk of damaging the roofing material.
Remember that before attempting any roof cleaning method, it’s important to prioritize safety. Working on a roof can be dangerous, especially if you’re not experienced with such tasks. If you’re not comfortable or confident in your ability to clean the roof yourself, it’s a good idea to hire a professional roof cleaning service. They will have the expertise, proper equipment, and safety measures in place to clean your roof effectively without causing damage.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ROOF CLEANING IN BOURNEMOUTH
When it comes to upkeeping your Bournemouth residence, a often overlooked yet vital task is roof cleaning. The environmental elements and coastal climate in Bournemouth elevate routine roof cleaning from a mere aesthetic concern to a practical necessity. This article will delve into the key reasons why giving priority to roof cleaning in Bournemouth is crucial for protecting your investment and ensuring the long-term resilience of your roof.
Preserve Curb Appeal: Roof cleaning is crucial for maintaining your home’s visual appeal. Algae, moss, and lichen can accumulate over time, giving your roof a dirty and unattractive appearance. Professional roof cleaning services can remove these unsightly growths, leaving your roof looking clean and well-maintained.
Prevent Damage: The coastal climate in Bournemouth, characterised by high humidity and occasional heavy rainfall, creates the perfect environment for moss and algae growth. These organisms can infiltrate your roofing materials, causing them to deteriorate over time. Roof cleaning helps prevent such damage, saving you from costly repairs or premature roof replacement.
Extend Roof Lifespan: Regular roof cleaning can significantly extend the lifespan of your roof. The accumulation of dirt, debris, and organic growth can weaken roofing materials, making them more susceptible to damage from moisture and UV radiation. By removing these contaminants, you can protect your roof’s structural integrity and ensure it lasts for many years.
Energy Efficiency: A dirty roof can affect the energy efficiency of your home. When algae and moss build up, they trap heat and moisture, which can lead to increased indoor temperatures during the summer and decreased energy efficiency. A clean roof, on the other hand, reflects heat more effectively, helping to regulate indoor temperatures and reduce cooling costs.
Health and Safety: Moss and algae growth on your roof can pose health and safety risks. They can create slippery surfaces, making it hazardous for anyone attempting to access the roof for maintenance. Regular roof cleaning eliminates these safety concerns, making it safer for both you and any maintenance professionals working on your roof.
Compliance with Home Insurance: Some home insurance policies may require you to maintain your roof to specific standards. Neglecting roof cleaning could result in a breach of your insurance agreement, potentially jeopardising coverage in case of damage or leaks. Keeping your roof clean helps you stay compliant with your policy.

On the 18th of February, 2002, 54-year-old car dealership owner, Forrest "Butch" Bowyer, and his 12-year-old son, Brett, were kidnapped from their Phenix City, Alabama home by two bounty hunters, Michael David Carruth, and Jimmy Lee Brooks Jr.
Tumblr media
The two men had observed that Butch carried a large amount of cash on him and came to his home pretending to be narcotics officers. Once they gained entry they demanded, at gunpoint, Butch get the $40,000 dollars in cash that he kept in his safe, and when he did, forced him and his son to get into a car.
They drove Butch and Brett 20 miles out of town, to a construction area where a new highway was being built. Once they got there and retrieved the cash from Butch, one of the men pulled out a knife and slit Butch's neck from ear to ear in front of his son. They then dumped him in a shallow grave.

"Not one single time do I pass this area, where this occurred, that I don't think about that case." - Russell County Sheriff, Heath Taylor.
Tumblr media
Only thing was, Butch wasn't dead, as the wound was not deep enough to sever any major arteries. He was clever and composed enough to pretend he was though, even when the men were laughing before they shot his son in the head and dumped the child's body right next to his own. They loosely covered the grave with dirt and left. Butch was laying next to his murdered son for 15 minutes.
He then began to claw his way out and uncovered Brett's body before slowly making his way down the highway and flagging a vehicle down, who contacted nearby police. Within minutes emergency services arrived, but the first thing Butch would state, even while holding his bloodied neck, was "They killed my boy, please go get him out of the ground."
Bowyer gave police a description of the men's car, which was stopped with Carruth at the wheel three days later. Butch Bowyer recognised the other man from seeing him around town and told the police his name.
Both men were arrested and charged shortly after. In the interrogation by Investigator Taylor, Brooks confessed, crying and saying "I had to shoot him…in the head." Brooks claimed Carruth was the mastermind and was only following his lead. A visibly sickened Judge sentenced the men to die for their heinous crimes, where they wait on Alabama's Death Row.

History
The public gardens around the St Pancras Old Church were opened in 1877,after the churchyard was closed for burials in 1850.The gardens are made up of part of the old churchyard for the church of St Pancras, enlarged in 1800,and a separate burial ground for St Giles-in-the-Fields,added 1803.It was a preferred burial place for Catholics, with an area devoted to French émigrés.The burial ground and churchyard were partially destroyed by the development of the Midland Railway;the company formed a cutting in 1865 for the construction of the railway lines from St Pancras Station. The clearances of tombs and bodies was highly controversial and caused considerable protest;the graves were dug up at night, behind screens,a process overseen by Thomas Hardy, then an apprentice architect, and many years later recorded in a poem,‘The Levelled Churchyard’(1882).The grandest tombs survived, including the tomb to Sir John Soane(d 1837)and his wife(d 1815),but others were moved. The ground was levelled and the headstones were placed in mounds or around the walls. In 1875 the remaining land was acquired by the St Pancras Vestry for use as public space, and the gardens were opened to the public in June 1877;Baroness Burdett-Coutts laid the foundation stone of the monument she had presented,to commemorate the graves disturbed in the construction of the railway. The gardens were laid out in their present form in 1890-1 by the Vestry,in conjunction with the Midlands Railway Company. Angela Georgina Burdett, suo jure Baroness Burdett-Coutts(1814-1906)was a prominent philanthropist who is estimated to have given away between £3 and £4 million. As described by her biographer Edna Healey,in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography,Burdett-Coutts set a new standard in philanthropy:prompt and practical, her charity was given with style and without condescension. In her time she was an honoured institution and most of her enterprises bore lasting fruit.Even her visionary schemes that did not survive–Columbia market and Columbia Square–served as models for the shopping precincts and housing estates of a later era.In the breadth and sincerity of her sympathies and in the variety of her social and intellectual interests she has had no rival among philanthropists before or since. Her example not only provided an immense stimulus to charitable work among the rich and fashionable but also suggested solutions to many social problems. She was the first woman to be given a peerage,in 1871,and was thus described by Edward VII:‘after my mother the most remarkable woman in the country’.Burdett-Coutts lived with her companion and partner Hannah Brown for 52 years, after whose death, she married her protégé,William Lehman Ashmead Bartlett;it was called the ‘mad marriage’ by Queen Victoria, for Burdett-Coutts was 66,and Bartlett 29. Burdett-Coutts commissioned this memorial to commemorate a diverse group of people whose graves had been destroyed by the development of the railway.Among the names included on the memorial is that of the Chevalier d’Eon,who was a celebrated French spy and diplomat in the eighteenth century. The Chevalier lived the first part of their life as a man and the latter as a woman.Their gender was widely speculated about, and they were written about in many satires and pamphlets.D’Eon used female pronouns in later life, and signed their name as Mademoiselle d’Eon. Numerous other significant historic figures are noted on the memorial, including Sir Edward Walpole, Sir John Soane, and sculptor Thomas Flaxman, whose tomb (q.v.) stands nearby. The burial of Sidly Effendi, the Turkish Ambassador, presumably a Muslim, is quite unusual. In line with Burdett-Coutts’s humanitarian principles, a special dedication is made to the ‘memory of those whose graves are now unseen, or the record of whose names may have become obliterated’.

Amongst people commemorated is the Chevalier d'Eon (1728 – 1810) , an 18th century French spy, diplomat and freemason whose gender transition was recognised in French and English law.
For 33 years, from 1777, d'Éon dressed as a woman, claiming to have been female at birth. Doctors who examined d'Éon's body after d'Éon's death discovered that d'Éon would have actually been designated male at birth.

Nạn nhân bị chôn sống tố cáo nhóm cướp
Tumblr media
Lần ngược lại dấu chân, cảnh sát còn phát hiện vết lốp xe in trong bùn.
Tumblr media
Vết lốp xe in trong bùn gần hiện trường án mạng nhà Ratliff.

Michigan Recap By Jimmy Young
Tumblr media
Stage 1: The first stage was cautionless with Brad Keselowski winning the stage,l. Joey Logano, who ran 3rd for a majority of the stage, got into trouble due to a wheel vibration and would fell back to 9th place.
Stage 2: The second stage started out with a pit road gamble by Daniel Suarez who stayed out of pit road at the end of the second stage and then quickly dropped. Matt Kenseth had a pit road penalty during green flag pit stops with 18 laps left in the stage. Brad Keselowski leads a majority of stage 2, but due to Truex jr and Suarez pitting 5 laps before Keselowski,  were able to take the lead due to fresher tires. Truex would go on to win the second stage, at this point in the race there was still no caution aside from the end of stage 1 and 2. Stage 3: Truex would continue to have the lead after the restart for stage 3  and would continue to have the lead. Kasey Kahne and Daniel Suarez would cause the first caution of the day at lap 136 while the 2 cars were exiting turn 2. By the way this English sounding reporter Anyways, green flag pit stops would begin at lap 155 and end at lap 164. The leader throughout Stage 3 would largely be shared between Denny Hamlin due to pit strategy,  and Truex due to winning stage, staying off pit road and starting stage 3 in 1st. Denny Hamlin would finally pit with 22 to go on the stage. Joey Logano would blow a tire with 15 to go. A caution with 14 to go would give Denny Hamlin the free pass and Kyle Busch the lead. With 10 to go the green flag would drop. Caution would come out with 5 to go. Kyle Larson would go from 4th to first from the restart to win the PURE MICHIGAN 400!!!! 42 1 KYLE LARSON 78 2 MARTIN TRUEX J 77 3 ERIK JONES 31 4 RYAN NEWMAN 6 5 TREVOR BAYNE 37 6 CHRIS BUESCHER 3 7 AUSTIN DILLON 24 8CHASE ELLIOTT 1 9 JAMIE MCMURRAY 18 10 KYLE BUSCH 41 11 KURT BUSCH 43 12 ARIC ALMIROLA 4 13 KEVIN HARVICK 88 14 DALE EARNHARDT JR 21 15 RYAN BLANEY 11 16 DENNY HAMLIN 2 17 BRAD KESELOWSKI 17 18 RICKY STENHOUSE JR 48 19 JIMMIE JOHNSON 47 20 AJ ALLMENDINGER 13 21 TY DILLON 10 22 DANICA PATRICK 14 23 CLINT BOWYER 20 24 MATT KENSETH 34 25 LANDON CASSILL 32 26 MATT DIBENEDETTO 95 27 MICHAEL MCDOWELL 22 28 JOEY LOGANO 72 29 COLE WHITT 38 30 DAVID RAGAN 23 31 COREY LAJOIE 83 32 BRETT MOFFITT 55 33 REED SORENSON 27 34 PAUL MENARD 33 35 JEFFREY EARNHARDT 51 36 BJ MCLEOD 19 37 DANIEL SUAREZ 5 38 KASEY KAHNE 15 39 DERRIKE COPE

After a long hiatus from this blog for many reasons (which include being locked out), I am happy to announce The Jist Blog will be back full time! And there is no better way to start than to finish off the Nascar season. It was an epic showdown between Joey Logano and Martin Truex Jr, with Logano getting the best of Truex.
Rather than go in-depth about in-season incidents, let’s rank the top 50 drivers currently in NASCAR. In order to rank, I will take into account categories such as performance, wins, consistency, talent and experience. Here is my current list:
1. Kevin Harvick: After an 8-win season and many dominant performances, this is a clear pick for 1.  2. Kyle Busch: An 8-win season for Kyle but not as dominant as Harvick overall. A close second.  3. Joey Logano: When you win a championship and finish 3rd overall, it shows you just how great the class of the field is.  4. Martin Truex Jr: It was a great season, however a lack of aggression at key points drops him down a bit.  5. Brad Keselowski: When you win two crown jewels in a season, you have to be near the top.  6. Chase Elliott: Three wins on the season. Drive 9 really hit the map this season.  7. Kyle Larson: While Larson had no Cup wins, he had a few Xfinity wins and showed overall he had tremendous speed at times.  8. Jimmie Johnson: While Jimmie struggled for most of the season and went winless, he’s still Jimmie Johnson and deserves our respect to keep him in the top 10 as a 7-time champ.  9. Ryan Blaney: While there is a strong group of drivers grouped together, Blaney led quite a few laps and looked pretty good for a first-year team.  10. Kurt Busch: Towards the end of the season, Kurt looked stronger and stronger. His short track program seemed to be as good as anyone. Definitely a bit of a rebirth in the former champ’s career. 11. Clint Bowyer: Two wins for Clint. One of the top drivers, he fell back a bit from where he would have liked to be near the end of the season. Still pretty good. 12. Aric Almirola: First year at SHR. Showed he’s got talent for the team, came on strong at the end. Deserved that win and will continue to win races with this impressive form.  13. Denny Hamlin: First time in forever that he has a winless season. Looked very strong especially at short tracks.  14. Erik Jones: Got first career Cup win. Towards the end of the season, showed impressive speed. Should be fun to watch for years to come.  15. Austin Dillon: A Daytona 500 win always boosts your position. Definitely Dillon outperformed ability of his racecar at times.  16. Alex Bowman: Made the playoffs in his first year at Hendrick. Showed impressive talent and if Hendrick improves he should improve with them.  17. Ricky Stenhouse Jr: A disappointing Daytona proved costly for Ricky. He has shown he has the ability to compete for top 10s. Roush equipment must improve as Ricky can compete with top guns in right equipment.  18. Ryan Newman: Easily a top 20 driver in the sport. Last couple seasons however it’s been more of a struggle. Most difficult driver to battle against.  19. Matt Kenseth: While not a full time driver, Kenseth deserves to be in the top 20 because as proven in Miami, he’s still got it. With a top ride he can win.  20. Jamie McMurray: Not quite the overall speed he would’ve liked, however a consistent top 20 runner and impressive top 5 runs at Charlotte and Texas.  21. Daniel Suarez: A sophomore slump of sorts. Suarez wasn’t as close to his 3 teammates as he would’ve liked. Considering his equipment, he probably won’t be too happy with his finishing position. Very impressive run at Pocono.  22. Paul Menard: First season with the Wood Bros. Didn’t have speed compared to Ford teammates, but did manage a stage win and pole.  23. William Byron: Rookie of the year. Some struggles but expected for a rookie campaign. Should begin to see massive improvements next year.  24. AJ Allmendinger: Not as strong on road courses as he would have liked. Able to pull off surprise finishes once in a while.  25. Chris Buescher: Had some very good runs. Shows some very good talent when he’s on his game.  26. Matt DiBenedetto: For an under-budget team, Matt performs above expectation most weeks. Should be better next year with better equipment.  27. Bubba Wallace: A rookie campaign with many bruises. A few less wrecks next season and Bubba could be the most improved driver, easily.  28. Michael McDowell: There were some very competitive runs from this team. Not much to expect when budget differences are so high.  29. David Ragan: Very good from Ragan’s team as well. Not much more to be expected from them.  30. Ty Dillon: A very trying season for Ty. Towards the end, improvements had begun and results did begin to show.  31. Kasey Kahne: A great career for a great driver. Too bad he couldn’t end 2018 on his own terms in the car. 32. Regan Smith: For someone who got in the car last minute, he had some pretty good runs. Regan can be competitive with good equipment.  33. Cole Whitt: A driver who always had the ability to outdrive his equipment. He’s now retired, but what if he had caught that break to succeed.  34. Ross Chastain: First non-Cup driver. Chastain had a few runs in Cup, however the results are more Cup-based and you must prove yourself in a Cup car to be higher on this list.  35. Trevor Bayne: Asked to step away from the vehicle for a number of races, Bayne showed he can still wheel a car when he did drive it.  36. Christopher Bell: A very impressive young talent. Bell is a former truck champ and has had very good speed in Xfinity. He’ll move to Cup soon.  37. Justin Allgaier: A great season from a driver who has shown to be part of the class of the Xfinity field.  38. Daniel Hemric: Daniel appears to be the real deal. Only one thing drops him down: no wins as of yet.  39. Tyler Reddick: Moved up the most. That was one might impressive performance at Homestead in Xfinity.  40. Brett Moffitt: Lack of sponsorship didn’t prevent Moffitt from being clutch in massive moments.  41. Cole Custer: Custer has shown speed at times, and given the right equipment he can win races in Xfinity.  42. John Hunter Nemechek: Probably wouldn’t have put him so high, except he always impresses when it counts in both trucks and Xfinity.  43. Noah Gragson: How do you follow up a speedy season? Start working for Xfinity and let’s see if the good mojo continues.  44. Todd Gilliland: Unfair but Todd was competitive and did almost win a couple races.  45. Johnny Sauter: Many wins for Sauter, except he struggled the last two events.  46. Chase Briscoe: If this guy had a full time ride, he’d win in Xfinity or trucks. Limited starts in either series but 2 wins total.  47. Justin Haley: Haley wasn’t over-the-top great, but he did manage three wins in a season. Also he almost and should’ve won Daytona in July.  48. Grant Enfinger: An upset win late in the year and an impressive display of speed near the end of the truck season.  49. Matt Tifft: A driver with not much expectation who performed very well at the end of the season.  50. Elliott Sadler: Struggled at the end, but it was an impressive display of consistently from Sadler all year. He will be missed in the garage.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Martin Truex Jr.’s run of success at 1.5-mile tracks is continuing.
Truex has won the last three races at 1.5-milers and will start first in Sunday’s race at 1.5-mile Kansas Speedway.
Truex posted the fastest lap in the third round of qualifying to edge out Kevin Harvick. It’s his first pole of the playoffs, though he’s won playoff races at Chicago and Charlotte already this season. By virtue of that Charlotte win, he’s automatically advancing to the third round of the playoffs.
Here’s how the field will line up in Sunday’s race.

Richard Petty Motorsports loses primary sponsor to Stewart-Haas Racing
Smithfield Foods will no longer be the anchor sponsor for the No. 43 Richard Petty Motorsports team, instead shifting to Stewart-Haas Racing next season.
Richard Petty Motorsports’ future is in limbo after primary sponsor Smithfield Foods announced Tuesday will move to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2018.
RPM had believed Smithfield would sign an extension to continue as primary sponsor of the No. 43 car and driver Aric Almirola, a relationship that’s been in place since 2012. But those negotiations recently fell apart, leaving RPM without an anchor sponsor for next year and with little time to find a replacement.
RPM is a single-car operation owned primarily by Andrew Murstein, with seven-time Cup champion Richard Petty a minority owner. One of NASCAR’s venerable organizations, RPM has struggled to remain consistently competitive and a lack of funding prompted the team to downsize from two cars to one this season.
"The decision to leave Richard Petty Motorsports and join Stewart-Haas Racing was difficult but we feel this move will improve our competitiveness on the track and strengthen our position as a leading consumer packaged goods company," Smithfield said in a statement.
SHR is regarded as one of NASCAR’s upper-echelon organizations having won Cup Series championships in 2011 (Tony Stewart) and 2014 (Kevin Harvick). In addition to Harvick, the team co-owned by Stewart and Gene Haas also fields cars for Kurt Busch, Danica Patrick and Clint Bowyer, who replaced the retiring Stewart this season.
Which SHR driver Smithfield will sponsor in 2018 was not announced, though the company indicated in a statement that the team may be changing its driver roster.
Harvick and Bowyer are under contract, while Busch and Patrick are free agents whose returns to the organization are predicated on sponsorship. Harvick is the only fully sponsored driver, with significant gaps on Bowyer’s and Patrick’s cars.
If SHR were to bring in a new driver, it would have no shortage of options. Matt Kenseth and Kasey Kahne are notable free agents who could replace Busch or Patrick. Almirola is also available, but whether he and Smithfield could both leave RPM and join SHR in a package deal depends on the language in Smithfield’s contract with RPM.
“Although we’re not ready to announce the full details of the program, we look forward to this new endeavor while remaining focused on the upcoming playoffs and putting forth the best effort possible to win more races and contend for another championship,” SHR President Brett Frood said in a statement.

Watkins Glen Recap
By: Jimmy Young
This years I Love New York 355 at Watkins Glen was just like any other. Several drivers such as Kevin Harvick were caught up in trouble due to brakes, and the race came down to fuel mileage. On lap 55 of the 90 lap race, on the restart for the beginning of the third stage, the Brad Keselowski lost control entering the bus stop, collecting Kyle Busch in the process. Kyle Busch later said he would get Keselowski back on his team radio. Kyle Busch was not able to catch back up to Keselowski during the race. A pit stop before a caution led to Keselowski taking the lead, which he would hold onto until pitting for fuel late in the race, allowing Ryan Blaney to inherit the top position. Aggressive driving would lead to Blaney losing the lead as he ran low on fuel. Martin Truex Jr, who had let Blaney pass him earlier in order to save gas, would go on to win his fourth race of the season.
