# I partigiani che fermarono la colonna tedesca sul Lago di Como

Docufilm – Potenti in fuga

L’arresto di Mussolini a Dongo e la resa della Colonna tedesca della Flak a Morbegno raccontati attraverso immagini, luoghi e testimonianze.

Il documentario realizzato dal ricercatore storico Pierfranco Mastalli, con riprese e montaggio del giornalista Andrea Brivio, è dedicato agli eventi legati al passaggio sul Lario della colonna della contraerea nazista Flak partita da Senago a Ovest di Milano fermata a Musso il 27 aprile e perquisita a Dongo da parte dalla 52^Brigata Clerici.

Nascosto tra i soldati tedeschi, i partigiani troveranno e arresteranno Benito Mussolini, la cui colonna di militi e gerarchi si era unita a quella tedesca con la speranza di raggiungere un territorio dove organizzare la resa. All’indomani, il 28 aprile, sul lungolago di Dongo saranno fucilati 15 dei fascisti catturati e lo stesso giorno i tedeschi firmeranno la resa della colonna a Morbegno e potranno proseguire, disarmati, verso la Valchiavenna.

Il gruppo di 178 soldati tedeschi, con alcuni italiani nascosti, transiteranno in Bregaglia attraverso la dogana di Castasegna il 29 aprile 1945, il giorno dopo l’uccisione di Benito Mussolini a Giulino di Mezzegra e il giorno precedente il suicidio di Adolf Hitler a Berlino.

Da ragazzo, Pierfranco Mastalli aveva seguito con i propri occhi il passaggio della colonna nazista a Gravedona, dove abitava con la sua famiglia. Questo ricordo non lo ha abbandonato. Lo ha portato, nel corso degli anni, a raccogliere testimonianze che hanno contribuito ad arricchire il preciso resoconto della vicenda ben descritta da Marino Viganò.

Ripercorrendo la storia, come ricercatore, ha incontrato e intervistato molti testimoni degli eventi, in particolare Federigo Giordano “Gek” vicecommissario della 55a brigata “fratelli Rosselli” e commissario della II divisione “Valtellina”, uno dei firmatari della resa della colonna Flak a Morbegno con il suo comandante, l’Oberleutnant Willy Flammiger.

From the Getty Museum: "Spring in the Alps depicts a panoramic alpine landscape near the village of Soglio—visible on the right with its recognizable church tower—in Val Bregaglia in southwestern Switzerland. The view sweeps across the expansive plateau and valley to the majestic, snow-capped Sciora Massif and Bondasca Glacier. In the middle of the composition a robust farm girl, dressed in the blue and red peasant costume characteristic of the Grisons (Graubünden) Canton, leads two large draught horses past a watering trough. They have left the freshly plowed field, visible in the left middle ground, where a sower scatters seeds; a vigilant black and white dog stands guard at the right. The joyful mood of the picture is expressed in the bright, shimmering sunlight and the glorious, expansive vista. The crisp colors of the season define the landscape against the brilliant ultramarine sky and the ribbons of thin clouds overhead. The painting is a vivid hymn to the reawakening of nature in spring after a long, hard winter, a pantheistic work in which the landscape, the rural workers, and the animals evoke the cycle of nature. Segantini counted Spring in the Alps among his greatest paintings, and it has become one of the most celebrated pictures of the Italian Ottocento, much exhibited and published."

Marble trout named Swiss Fish of the Year

The marble trout, aka Salmo marmoratus, has been named the Fish of the Year 2024 by the Swiss Fishing Federation (FSP). This freshwater fish from south of the Alps is fighting for its survival. Perfectly camouflaged, the marble trout has dominated the waters of southern Switzerland for thousands of years, the Swiss Fishing Federation (FSP) said in a statement on Tuesday. But today it is only found in Lake Maggiore and a few rivers in the Bregaglia and Poschiavo valleys in canton Ticino. Many marble trout are no longer genetically pure but have mixed with trout from the Atlantic. The marble trout, which can grow to over a metre in length, is a voracious fish. Young individuals eat insects and crustaceans. But once its characteristic mouth is large enough, the trout devours everything it can, even small fish. The federation deplores the fact that even such an adaptable species is a victim of modern society.
