Chase Claypool throws TD to Derek Watt, Steelers tie Eagles
Steelers offensive coordinator Matt Canada has been the subject of scorn for Steelers fans this season, but he dialed up a winner on a fourth down late in the first quarter on Sunday. After Eagles defensive end Brandan Graham committed a penalty for trying to simulate the snap on a field goal, the Steelers elected [more] from Philadelphia Eagles – ProFootballTalk https://ift.tt/UdeZcVj via IFTTT

Island #1, Allies #1, Demonslayer Vol. 2 #1 Island #1 is written and art performed by Brandan Graham, Emma Ríos, and Ludroe. My one suggestion is: do not read this digitally by pdf. It may be okay through the Comixology app, but I purchased this through a Humble Bundle and had a pdf and I found that my brain had a lot of trouble reading this as a result. Layout was terrible. I find this true for a lot of pdfs of comics from Image. This is no issue with the comic itself, but a point I feel to make because it does lower the enjoyment. I have decided that I really dislike comics through pdf and prefer physical copies. Which is sad because overall, I really enjoyed this. It’s a bit of a chaotic comic. I’m not sure how to recommend it. I suppose if you ever liked Flight you would likely enjoy this. I would be interested in reading the other issues but in physical form.
Allies #1 is written by Natalia Devova. Art by Denis Popov, Arina Erofeeva, and Victoria Vinogradova. Translation by Tatyana Omelchenko. Oh boy! Okay, so I have read some of Red Fury, which is what comes before Allies and I was not a fan. However, I did really enjoy this issue. The art is better, which is a problem I had with Red Fury. I enjoyed the story in this issue as well. It makes me want to read the next issue. So I actually do recommend this one. You do not need to have read Red Fury.
Demonslaver Vol 2 #1 is written by Alex Xatchett. Art is by Denis Popov, Anastasia Kim, and Lada Akishina. Translation by Danila Evstifeev. I will admit that, in English at least, the name is a bit confusing. I think of this as Demonslayer 2.0. This is, like Igor Grom and Allies, is post-Time of the Raven series. Demonslayer Vol 2 is referring to a second part of the series. This does not continue from Demonslayer #8. I have had several people ask me this already. Like with Allies and Igor Grom, you can start here instead of starting with Demonslayer #1. Similar to Allies and Igor Grom, you will miss important stories, however the bonus to this is that you begin with some really good characters. In Demonslayer, I feel like there is much more wait time to get to some very popular characters in the series. Whereas Demonslayer Vol 2, you start out with them all already there. This is not necessarily negative, but depends on what you want. If you are like me, you’ll just read both. I recommend all of these.

Irishman Kevin O'Brien Retires From ODI Cricket
By Brandan White
The Ireland stalwart cum all-rounder Kevin O’Brien will no longer play ODI cricket. He has called on his retirement from his ODI career to focus on T20I and Test cricket.
Tumblr media
The 37 year old Irishman made his ODI debut against England in 2006 and has gone on to play over 150 one day internationals for Ireland.
“After 15 years playing for Ireland, I feel now is the right time to step away and retire from ODI cricket," Kevin O'Brien said in a statement released by Cricket Ireland.
"It has been an honour and a privilege to represent my country 153 times and the memories I take from them will last more than a lifetime for me. This has not been an easy decision, for me or my family, but after ongoing consideration; I don’t feel I can contribute to the ODI team as much as I have in the past. The hunger and love for the ODI format is no longer the same as it was and it would not be fair to my head coach Graham Ford, the team and our supporters to continue to play while no longer feeling at 100%." He added.
O'Brien's illustrious ODI career, regarded as one of the greatest players Ireland has ever produced, is best remembered for his record-breaking 113 in the 2011 World Cup against England. His 50-ball century is still the fastest ever in a World Cup.
He is Ireland’s third-highest run-getter in the format with 3,618 runs and also their leading wicket-taker with 114 scalps. O’Brien also finished his career with 68 catches, the most by an Irishman in 50-over cricket.
However, Kevin O'Brien will still be available for Tests and T20Is.
He has set his sights on making it to Ireland’s squad for the T20 World Cup and also adding to his three Test caps.
“I’ve had some unbelievable moments with the team since 2006 - the three World Cups, the personal successes and spending time travelling and playing all over the world, but I will now shift my focus and remain fully committed to T20 cricket - with two world cups in the next 18 months - and hoping to add to my three caps in Test cricket." concluded O’Brien.

Tagged by @monsterluff , some handsome dude who I just happen to get along with because I'm a human being or something, I don't know.
Name: Brandan

Nickname: Momo, or Aika. Either one works just fine due to my personality apparently fitting the names.

Zodiac sign: Taurus. I don't know the other zodiacs, but if it helps you, my birthdate's May 4th, 1999.
Hogwarts house: Ravenclaw.

Height: 5'10

Sexual orientation: Have I ever mentioned that I was once given the nickname "Homo?" Because gay homosexual over here, hoes.

Ethnicity: Caucasian.

Favorite fruit: Believe it or not, grapes are one of my favorite foods. And oranges, along with bananas. I've always used bananas in recipes, but never grapes, so one day, if anyone remembers this, remind me to use grapes in a smoothie recipe.

Favorite season: Winter. Evening has always been my favorite time of the day, so I'd love for every day to be winter. Of course, workout whether would be Autumn.

Favorite book series: Shoot me for this, but I absolutely do not read books. Do manga count? If so, then Gakkou Gurashi.

Favorite fictional character: Any female character I create. My girl Aika Desparikashe especially. Even though she keeps fucking dying in Aurum Vale.

Favorite flower: Give me a rose. But also a dandelion. Dandelions would make for an impressive photo if shot correctly, now that I think and type it out. Take a hill, get some dandelions, wind, and a sunset. Now let's see what you get.

Favorite scent: Vape scents. They vary a ton, but when you get fruity scents...oh boy, they make you wanna try vaping, that's for sure.
Favorite color: Blue's always been a regular fav. But I've been experimenting lately and found that sky blue's been better as opposed to the dark blue I loved a ton. Now, that blue is kinda...eh, to me now.

Favorite animal: Cats. Because they kill me inside when I look at how adorable they are. And then they cut your eye.

Favorite band: I don't listen to too much music, but if I had to say, it'd be No Doubt. And that's probably not from me dragging that from the guy who tagged me in his challenge thing.

Coffee, tea, or hot chocolate: Hot. Chocolate. Marshmallows. And graham crackers. De-fucking-licious.
How many blankets: One, plus a sweatshirt. I hibernate.

Dream trip: Take the guy I love out for week exploring the world. Anywhere would be nice, as long as explorations done.

Last thing I googled was: FFXIV Aurum Vale Reddit.
How many blogs I follow: 30-something.

Number of followers: 2. Are you proud of me, ma?

What I usually post about: Thicc guys, and Final Fantasy Stuff. And some art. I do draw from time to time. But don't expect anything great, even from a 2 year artist. Love the ass too, btw.
Do I get asks regularly: No. Because...I don't know, this account is new, in case you couldn't tell by the 2 followers, one of which is a porn bot.

235: Seahawks 2018 Year in Review
In his final press conference for the season, Pete Carroll characterized the 2018 Seahawks year as a season of growth. We look at many of the strengths of the team this season as well as areas of growth for 2019. With young players filling a lot of key positions, particularly on defense, Carroll sounds like he is counting on many of those players to be better. But as we've pointed out in the past, it's not always a steady progression toward awesome.
When the Seahawks lost both Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson on offense in the offseason, we were wondering where those 16 touchdowns would go. As we hoped, a lot of those went to the run game, which improved from one score last season to 15 this year. Add that to a career year in touchdown passes for Russell, and that helped the team become the second highest scoring offense in franchise history.
Which players outperformed their contracts this season? Which ones didn't quite live up to the value? Injuries were the primary factor in determining underperformance, and apart from that the Seahawks received a high level of performance from the value of the players on the roster. The 2018 rookie class was one area in particular fans should be very happy with.
In the second half of the show we learn that nearly half of the top 10 in the pickem league cheated in a way that we made clear was not acceptable. Adam goes after Nike for requiring an app for a new pair of basketball shoes and Brandan calls out a USA Today reporter for leaving out some key facts in characterizing the Seahawks play calling this past season.
Better at life honors go to NASA for a possible upcoming mission to look for life in other parts of our solar system, and to a Philadelphia Eagles fan in second grade who provided some inspiration to fans everywhere.

We imagined how an NBA expansion draft would look today
All 30 SB Nation NBA blogs joined in to imagine a future where the league adds to expansion teams. Here are the results.
The NBA is approaching a 14th season existing with 30 teams, the longest period of time that the league has gone without adding or losing teams. Ever since the Charlotte Bobcats — now Hornets — joined in 2004, the 30-team league has been a happy, if flawed, default.
The NBA is also experiencing a global boom. It’s making more money than ever before, highlighted by a record-breaking nine-year, $24 billion television deal that kicked in last season. It’s rapidly growing in popularity both in the United States, where 29 of the 30 teams are located, and globally, where more and more international players are introduced to the league. Given the way this world works, and how quickly the NBA is rising, it was no surprise when NBA commissioner Adam Silver said this about expanding to 31 or 32 teams:
“I don’t want to put a precise timeline on it, but it’s inevitable at some point,” he told C.J. McCollum. (Yes, that’s Blazers guard C.J. McCollum).
Inevitable. That’s a strong word, but that’s where the league is headed.
SB Nation’s Tom Ziller is all over the logistics. You can read this explainer about what would need to happen for the NBA to vote for expansion, and also 13 places where the NBA could expand to, including two international options. (Not London!)
All those things have to be worked out by the smart people in the NBA before any expansion could be approved. We at SB Nation don’t have those same limitations, and we also know that there’s one especially fun thing about the process: The Expansion draft.
So, we are doing one of our own.
The concept is simple: all 30 teams can protect eight players off their roster, and the two expansion teams (it might just be one, but we’re going with two because it’s more fun) can pick from the remaining pool. They’d also get a top draft pick, but that’s not a major factor for this exercise.
We asked all 30 of our SB Nation NBA team blogs which eight players they would hold back from the expansion draft, and had them answer why.
Here’s who they protected and why:
Peachtree Hoops (Atlanta Hawks): Dennis Schroder, Taurean Prince, DeAndre Bembry, John Collins, Dewayne Dedmon, Mike Muscala, Ersan Ilyasova, Kent Bazemore

Bullets Forever (Washington Wizards): John Wall, Bradley Beal, Otto Porter, Markieff Morris, Marcin Gortat, Kelly Oubre, Tim Frazier, Mike Scott
Then there’s the actual draft.
Using the players our team communities left unprotected, SB Nation’s Kristian Winfield drafted one team, while our Seattle Supersonics blog Sonics Rising — a hopeful and extremely likely expansion team whenever it finally happens — selected the other. They will unveil their rosters at noon ET.
NOTE: Per expansion draft rules, each new expansion team is limited to one selection per NBA team. Hence, some of the picks.
Remember the time we last did this?
Tom Ziller will take a stroll down memory lane to 2004, when the Charlotte Bobcats (now Hornets) entered the league. There were some odd players left unprotected and some fascinating ripple effects.
Who would you pick?
Now it’s your turn. Here are the five most notable players left unprotected at each position.
And here’s the full list. Pick four from each category (but not two players from the same team) and let us know your 12-man rosters in the comments section:

If none of the above are available for the trip to Adelaide after the bye, the Hawks might as well bring Kelvin Moore and Chris Langford out of retirement because the backline has been stripped bare. But the likelihood is that Birchall returns for just his fourth game of the year while the suspicion here is that Hodge was managed last weekend against Gold Coast so that he plays his 300th game later this season at the MCG rather than Launceston as scheduled. His return, along with that of Breust and Birchall should ensure that the Hawks take a more competitive team to play the Crows in what shapes as a difficult evening in any event. Gibson is one to watch because if his groin complaint is serious we may not see him again this season – which could possibly be his last in the AFL. – Ashley Browne

Steph Curry will be a free agent this summer. (AP)
  A “Regra Stephen Curry”
Atlanta Mudança salarial:                            Ryan Kelly (NG) Aumento no teto:                                     U$489.485 Elegível à extensão:                        Paul Millsap (P)

221: Even in AZ winning is better than losing, how the Seahawks take on the Rams without ET3, KJ, or Kendricks
Coming out of the 20-17 win against the Cardinals, an unlikely position group is getting some leaguewide recognition. The Seahawks offensive line was highlighted by NFL.com as one of the top five units in the league this last week. Adam and Brandan take a look at just how little Russell Wilson had to worry about getting hit in this game. With Pocic on his way back to being healthy, they look at how the Seahawks are approaching it considering the relative success they've had with this particular group of five players over the past two weeks.
The loss of Earl Thomas will have an impact, but which player injury will have the more long-term impact for the Seahawks. Will Dissly has on the brink of having a breakout rookie season, but could the prior injury of Jimmy Graham provide some optimism for Seahawks fans that the Montana native can return to the player we saw through the first quarter of the season.
Looking ahead to the matchup with the Rams, it's going to be a significant challenge against a team averaging around 35 points a game through their first four games and a team that put up big numbers in Seattle last season. The loss of Thomas right before this game will have an impact, but should Seahawks fans be as concerned that KJ Wright will continue to be out especially with Mychal Kendricks now out indefinitely from his suspension from the NFL? John in Louisville emails in to provide some helpful pointers for the offense in the matchup with the Rams.
After the break, the guys take a look at the team after the first quarter of the season and project forward on what would need to happen to contend for a playoff spot. An email to the show from Nathan shows that even a few days out after a win, it's still maddening how one play call in particular shifted the game and impacted the career of Earl Thomas.
Closing out the show, Adam has two drop a ‘do better' on two sports analysts he deeply respects and Brandan congratulates the few people who were able to find the audio of an historic first in NFL sports media. Better at life honors go to a team of scientists who are taking the first steps to preventing Armageddon and to our Seahawks kicker who reminds us that winning continues to be a better option than losing while helping our quarterback be one of the ultimate winners among the Seattle franchise quarterbacks.

207: Los Angeles Rams – Know Your Rival, with James and Bear of the Rams Podcast
The way the offseason has played out for Rams and the Seahawks, things couldn't be more different. With departing stars like Richard Sherman, Michael Bennett, and Cliff Avril now off the team on defense. Seahawks fans have also watched Jimmy Graham and Paul Richardson sign big contracts to go to other teams in free agency. On top of that, Kam Chancellor career is in question and Earl Thomas held out from the team's minicamp.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams only seem to be adding stars. Brandin Cooks was traded to the Rams from the Patriots and on defense they acquired Ndamukong Suh, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. Brandan and Adam talk to James and Bear about their feelings the directions the two teams appear to be going and why simply going by arrivals and departures could be a bit deceptive when it comes to both squads.
One of the hallmarks of our talks with the Rams Podcast over the past two seasons, and now into our third, is our annual bet. The first year Adam lost a bet between Thomas Rawls and Todd Gurley. Last year was one between Cooper Kupp and Tyler Lockett. This year, the bet moves to the defensive side of the ball, as well as a bonus bet with both teams going head to head.
In the second half of the show, the guys tease the new song “Crappin' on the Rams” which closes this week's show. Find out why Adam has some sentimentality to this one particular iconic 80s rock song that the new tune parodies. After some blowback last episode to Brandan's comments about the Godfather, he explains his position as to why he couldn't put it at the top spot for greatest movie of all time. The guys close the show with a listener submitted ‘do better' for a great American accomplishment that may have gone mostly unnoticed in the news and a better at life nod toward Sandy Gregory, who started her career with the Seahawks in 1976 and just announced her retirement.
Thanks to hims for sponsoring this week's show. Get a trial month of hims for just $5 today.

181: Russell’s campaign for MVP, Lacy shows his style in 49ers victory, Seahawks make up names to add to o-line depth
With the win over the San Francisco 49ers, Russell Wilson passed another big milestone as the winningest quarterback in NFL history through his first six seasons. He also became the fastest players to throw for 150 touchdowns and rush for 3,000 yards. That puts him up with only seven other NFL players in history to hit those numbers and half of the retired players on that list are in the Hall of Fame.
Bobby Wagner had another big game with an incredible interception and it was also a big day for tight ends. Nick Vannett caught his first touchdown pass in the NFL and Jimmy Graham now has more touchdown catches than any other Seahawks tight end in team history. Adam and Brandan talk about how much fun the tight ends room must be at the team facility and how it compares to the receiver's room.
Looking ahead to the matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles, the guys talk about what the Eagles do well, including the talk of Carson Wentz and his MVP potential. The Eagles are top in the league when it comes to run defense and their also near the top with their run game on offense. Adam talks about why their team strengths match up well for Seattle considering the Seahawks strengths to this point in the season.
In the second half of the show the guys talk about some injury updates and how the Jacksonville game was flexed to the afternoon. Now the Seahawks have no games at 10am PT this season. There was one questionable transaction as the Seahawks appear to be making names up of offensive lineman to the practice squad.
After reading some emails and Facebook posts, Adam tells Apple why they need to do better and Brandan talks about a drone pilot arrested near the game this weekend. Better at life honors go to scientists for proving the correct way to have toilet paper on the roll and to Russell Wilson as we cheer him on down the stretch this season.

3 IN, 3 OUT – Sweet Home CLink East – Seahawks v. Giants
by fellow 12 Clinton Bonner
Sea Hawkers Pod 12s Own Clink East
  The sun? Check!
The fun? Check!
The grub? Check!
The love? Check!
The 12s? Check!
The start? Well… we'll get to that
The finish? Check!
The big ‘road' W at CLink East? Check and mate.
What can we say fellow 12s… sometimes life hands ya bacon and this past Sunday at CLink East was just one of ‘dem days. With that, let's start with a big thank you to a gaggle of Flockers and let's start this thing off right saying thanks to Brandan and Adam who trekked all the way in from Big Sky Country!
I hadn't met this dynamic duo sans being ‘cyber friends' for a time now and I do want our world to know they are who you thought they would be! Genuine good dudes, genuine passion… Brandan a bit more cerebral, stoic, dare I say calm in the face of 12-dom and most often with a satisfaction laden grin across his bearded mug with just enough snark to let you know he's listening … Adam-isms you hear on the pod aren't just his ‘pod life', that's him! He's fired up, fast talking, opinionated, really sports hates Bruce Arians, mentions Jared a good bit, and would make for a perfectly good East Coast Italian-American if he would just learn to wave his hands around a lot more. It was fantastic to get to hang with these dudes, so thanks for putting it all in motion.
Of course there is the Flock who came out and were equally amazing to hang with including Stephanie and Cameron Cole, MK and Josh, Gary Blum and his awesome daughter Jenna, Jon Wondrack, Kofi Poku, Christian Tjessem and Mary (all the way from Norway so they did better!!!) and many others throughout the day including the boys, Stuart and Adam from the Pedestrian Podcast … or as I like to refer to it, the Seahawks pod across the pond!
And I have to give some love to my cousin Joel and our boy Hot Rod, two Giants fans who not only endured being surrounded by 12s all day, but also cooked us steak and provided us with the foodvention of the year … the CLink East Burger aka charcoal grilled cheeseburger with tri-tip steak and loaded potato salad on a bun of goodness.
the CLink East Burger
  Sometimes, life hands ya bacon.
In! This group of people right here. #3i3o @clintonbon http://pic.twitter.com/6lWmTihXta

You know the drill by now … when we win, we start with an IN, so let's do exactly that.
  IN – Sir Mix-A-Lot
Only if she's five-three
You may think I'm foolish… but upon re-watching, I looooooooved what this offense did to open up the game . The very first play in fact was 5-wide, motion Rawls to the backfield, read-option run to the right, Rawls gain of 6.
OMGosh, just what Dr. Bevell, Medicine Woman ordered. The offense in our 2-first series was a 9 outta 10 great. We saw Rawls & Lacy with gains of 5+ yards on the ground. We saw an early deep shot to EDB (that's Elite Doug Baldwin for ya n00bs) as well as a classic Doug 3rd down conversion as he found a soft spot in the middle of the field. We saw consistently good run blocking and good enough pass protection… and heck, we even saw a Jet Sweep and a key completion to Darboh.
They call this something in sports and no, not just a functioning NFL offense… but it's called being dynamic. Like any good Nirvana tune (or heck even a copycat Nirvana such as Oleander), our offense had a great mix going early of power running, quick hitting conservative passing, and stretching the field with shots over 20 yards.
Baby got back alright … Me likey where this offense is growing.
OUT – Can't Stop the Feeling
Those first two drives we relished in just above resulted in about 100 yards of offense and our ‘Hawks dominating time of possession with around 10 minutes of clock earned. But, it also netted exactly zero points.
Loved going for it on 4th and 2 (or so) from the G-Men 2, it was the right call.
What wasn't right in those first two drives were un-timely unforced errors in the form of false starts, blocking whiffs, and a case of the ‘Mamma Dropsies'.
Ifedi's offsides on drive 1 to take us from 2nd and 5 to 2nd and 10 killed that drive's ‘mo.
We suffered another offsides on the following drive deep in Big Blue territory… Que Lastima!
With Britt out (injured a few plays previous), on 2nd down from the Giants 1.5, we suffered a jailbreak as Lacy was met 3.5 yards in the backfield for a huge loss… and finally…
Jimmy. Jimmy, I love ya … c'mon man, been defending you since the trade, you've GOT to make red zone catches for us!!!
2 B+ drives that are A's if we just execute. Frustrating.
Flocktimus Prime had this squared up from jump street, well done Keith.
Not finishing 1st half drives is #OUT. Hopefully just a step between no offense and dominant offense. @clintonbon #3i3o

    IN – Jarranimo
Faithful flock, if you dig #3i3o, we're grateful and we hope we provide some extra love, extra value, extra spicy sauce to our collective ‘Hawkra that makes ya smile. So, for the faithful readers, you'll remember that our pre-season post discussing 3 unsung Seahawks that would make or break our year, we dedicated 33.33% of that article to one Jarran Reed.
Now you read (from the aforementioned article of destiny):
“Our Run D was OUTSTANDING in 2016 and very often it was due to players like Reed filling their role – and their gaps – professionally and allowing others like Wagner, Clark, Wright and more to make big plays. Reed was more than above average last season against the run and on a line with the likes of Avril, Bennett, Clark, and now Sheldon … so what if he records only a few sacks?
While Nazair Jones was one of the darlings of pre-season – and deservingly so – Reed enters year-2, nearly as a forgotten man.
There’s no metric here to follow, this one is all about your gut. Watch the trenches with intent. If Reed is being consistent up the gut, consistently clearing lanes for our LBs and DEs to make big plays, consistently non-flashy but darn effective … our Seahawks will be marching on to Minnesota come February.”
This wasn't Jarran's only impact play, but it's the one we'll all recall, and with great reason!
Jarran Reed forces a fumble on Manning http://pic.twitter.com/fjN1Tw27f9
— Billy Marshall (@BillyM_91) October 22, 2017
For those that can or already have re-watched the game, focus on Reed for a bit, you will continue to see what this man is doing right up the gut. He's progressing and getting even better in year 2. Jarran Reed is a big, big factor for our ‘Hawks and as my brother Scotty likes to say… Love to say I told ya so. Want more proof?
Samuel Gold knows his stuff:
Jarran Reed ranked 2/66 interior defenders with a run stop % of 30.4%. He also had the strip sack on Eli Manning as well. #Seahawks

OUT – Sexy Deep Baaaaaaalmost
First He giveth, then He taketh away. Such is life on the roller coaster we call 3 IN, 3 OUT. And while us 12s must be our best Fat Boy Slims and praise Russ like we do, this is the facts of Seahawks life … and they can’t all be Jo’s or Tooties now can they?
Russ has mastered the intermediate – 20 to 34 yard, drop it in the bucket pass. See Baldwin’s beauties if you’re not following the floating ball here people.
One aspect of Russ’ game that is a little askew this season is the really ‘Sexy Deep Ball’. Sure he connected with P-Rich with some razzle-dazzle and one heck of a snag by our decadian wearing Colorado Buffalo, but we’re focused on a slightly different type of SDB.
Multiple times this year, and 2x just this passed Sunday, Russ missed a wide open Baldwin and Lockett, respectively. The good? Baldwin and Lockett are consistently getting behind DBs this year, and even misses on SDBs open the field for later offensive domination. The bad? Russ needs to make some of these opps count.
He takes an OUT in a game where we dominated and he threw for ‘3 and 3’. This is a game that should have been 34 to 7 and in the not-too-distant future we’ll be up against much, much better offensive talent where 24 probably won’t cut it.
IN – Russ to Jimmy… Wait, What!?
I know, I know… I'm a shill for Jimmy Graham, it's not, not true.
We all know about the 2 HUGE drops … they are deserving of an OUT unto themselves, so we’re not sugar coating it here peeps. What excites me is the way Jimmy is being used over the last few weeks.
When Jimmy dropped what shoulda been his first TD of the day, it wasn’t some fade route that sailed aimlessly over Jimmy’s head (though we had one of those too). We love Russ, and we should vigorously defend him to any NFL fan that sees him as some average QB… Trust me, they’re still out there!!!
But Russ is on the struggle bus when it comes to End Zone fade routes. It’s like watching Matthew Broderick’s 1998 Godzilla… it just makes ya ill.
Jimmy’s TD drop and then subsequent TD catch show us that Bevell and co. seem to have learned that we can still use Jimmy in the Red Zone and throw him a different route than the fade… this is VERY encouraging.
Graham’s other big drop might have also went for 6 and surely woulda went for 35+ yards. OK, he beefed it and dropped a wide open delivery from Russ… but where was Graham when he Buckner’d that bad boy? He was wiiiiiide out, streaking down the left sideline on that route. Combine this with the more 5-wide schemes we are seeing, combine this with Russell going for well over 300 yards on the day, with 3 TDs… combined with this true fact:
The #Seahawks are 12-0 in the regular season when Russell Wilson throws three touchdowns in a game. https://t.co/dod5P73UJA http://pic.twitter.com/7EbVQTxfA4
— Aron Yohannes (@AronYohannes) October 23, 2017
And this is a big, big IN.
OUT – Ticky Tacky Crappy
Dominating win, on the road, which was quickly followed by a work road-trip of my own. So pardon the easy route here of using an OUT on two types of penalty calls that just bug the snot outta me.
Defensive Holding on run plays – There must've been some committee meeting this offseason to put a spotlight on defensive holding during run plays because, well, I just can't for the life of me remembering seeing this call all that much… ummmm ever. Now, it seems like once a game this dumb-dumb call gets used. Hey NFL, why don't you work on ways so that the Refs are LESS involved and not creating new things to play ‘gotcha' with… ugggh, OUT.
Our ‘Hawks ‘luck' with offensive PI calls … I just re-watched the Lockett TD that was negated and again, the improper insertion of the white stripes to hurt the ‘Hawks is evident. I realize other teams get banged for offensive PIs too, but we just seem to more often AND usually, as was the case here, the calls are pure rubbish.
Bonus IN
We dominated, so a bonus IN, why not?
Quickly, this goes to Justin Coleman and not for covering guys that would otherwise be on a practice squad, but for his abilities making tackles near the line of scrimmage. Justin Coleman for a 7th round pick… we've discussed this before, but my oh my, this is turning out to be a complete steal.
If you have the ability to re-watch the game go to the 12:53 mark of the 3rd quarter and you'll see why Coleman gets the bonus IN!
  From the Flock!!!
My favorite segment of #3i3o is hearing it from YOU … so let's see what ya'll had to say this week!
Feeling bad for Ross Bell of the UK Sea Hawkers and the Pedestrian Podcast … he was the 3rd leg of the UK stool, but he couldn't make the trip this time out – we missed ya Ross!
Early #3I3O 4 @clintonbon. When your podcast partners fly off to New York for the game and leave you at home! #OUT @adamdnathan @Stu_Court
— Ross Bell (@RossBell1984) October 19, 2017
Flocktimus' game was strong this Sunday!!!
The left side of the line was #IN. @EthanPocic@MarkGlowinski73@Rees_o71 getting it done! @clintonbon#3i3o
— Keith Ketover (@FlocktimusPrime) October 23, 2017
Ron didn't specifically tag this #3i3o, nor does he have to – I just thought this was a popular opinion that ought to be re-shared:
Ron bringing the Pepper heat on Jimmy
Samsies here, I just loved this post so had to re-share this gem from Erik. While I can't preach for Frank the Tank's grasp of the Laffer Curve or P-Rich's position on legalized pot… I can back this ticket.
  1,2,3… What's Next!!!???
Back to CLink West we go. I'm fired up to watch this evolved LOB go up against Watson, Hopkins, Fuller and others. The weather looks pristine as of right now and that matters because Russ ain't great in the rain. I expect our O to keep tightening things up and my spidey sense is telling me we're about to see our best offensive performance of the year.
Let's just see if good ole' Mamma Cleo's crystal ball is crystal clear.
Until Sunday Flockers … see you on Twitter and on the Sea Hawkers Ring of Honor on FB where if you use the tag #3i3o I'll do my bestest to get your account included in the weekly dash of extra Seahawks goodness!
A HUGE Thank you to Brandan and Adam for creating something special here and Go ‘Hawks !!!

168: Russell Wilson continues preseason domination with Odhiambo at left tackle, decisions ahead with the 53-man roster
The Seahawks pick up another preseason victory, 26-13 over the Kansas City Chiefs, as the Legion of Boom holds Alex Smith under 50 yards and the offense to only 3 points. Russell Wilson has looked incredible as he dials in his game this pre-season. Explosive plays to Jermaine Kearse, Chris Carson and Jimmy Graham were a big part of his 200-yard effort.
Part of the reason for his success was the fact that he was given time to throw behind an offensive line that, now with Rees Odhiambo at left tackle, looks like it may not have been impacted by the injury to George Fant. Despite Procise and Rawls sitting out another preseason game, the running game impressed with Eddie Lacy and Chris Carson. The guys talk about what that means for Alex Collins and some of the other backs on the roster.
With most of the starters likely sitting out against the Raiders this week, Adam and Brandan look ahead to that game with the idea of who they want to see to help make some of the tough decisions with the 53-man roster.  They also discuss how some contract maneuvering and depth at running back could leave fullback Marcel Reece off the initial cut only to be brought back after Week 1.
In the second half of the show, the guys wonder what some of the foods are that you wouldn't want to drink beer with.  Brandan questions Adam's prediction of Rees Odhiambo for the Pro Bowl and why that's what he's choosing to root for this year. The guys discuss an email that has a listener infuriated over Russell Wilson's placement on a recent list.
Finally, Do Better nods to go to some uninformative coverage from ESPN regarding the uptick in demonstrations during the National Anthem and Adam calls out the dirtiest player in the NFL. Better at life honors go to Adam's favorite general manager in basketball while Brandan talks about an MMA fighter who provided some entertainment on his way to a big payday.
