So I was thinking about the @brakken-spideyverse contest and decided to do a closet cosplay of my Mysterio I submitted and I was wearing my Red Hood cosplay as the base shirt so I decided to take some snaps in character for both.

SPIDERSONA STUFF!!! You can read the original post I made over HERE, but I was mad at Tumblr for seriously squishing my art I worked so hard on, so I made this photoset for those who want a closer look at my rushed beautiful artwork!

1) Trap Spider Ref (Fun Fact, this is heavily based on my actual steampunk cosplay, like I have that belt and hat and such :D Click the above link to read her ridiculously long profile sheet!)

2) I STRIKE FROM BENEATH, FEAR ME

3)   Based on an exchange I had with @brakken​​ on Instagram about Abrakknid’s spidey powers. Also featuring the very real fascination I would have with everyone else’s super powers. (Abrakknid Ref Here)

4)  My friend @wheatart​‘s spidersona Wolf Spider likes to try on other people’s gear. She did not account for sticky safety measures, or stickiness in general, which is truly a state of deep irony for any Spidey. (Wolf Spider Ref Here)

5)  I found @sylvrndoodles​‘s spidersona Spidermerm while browsing the spidersona tag and was all like, “Mm yes, original idea, I did not know that kind of spider was a thing, very cool design, excellent punny name, 100% chance Trap Spider would ask to try her web bubbles.“ And that’s the story of why I drew Spidermerm out of the many, many exceptionally cool spidersonas that I also wanted to draw but had to limit myself for my own sanity. :D (Spidermerm Ref Here)

Porter Robinson Worlds Tour Visuals from Invisible Light Network on Vimeo.

We created a wild visual universe for Porter Robinson’s Worlds tour - combining anime with pixel art and glitched out Tumblr-inspired cg into epic landscapes and storylines. A huge cast of animated characters explore love, longing, and adventure in a series of fantastic alternate realities - which unfold on a massive set of on-stage LED screens. As Porter composed the Worlds album, he amassed a huge collection of links, screenshots, and story ideas pulled from the worlds of anime and online MMORPGs. We built on Porter’s foundation by adding layers of inspiration pulled from Indie games like Journey, Below, and Torchbearer and classic games like Another World and Space Harrier.

These visuals have lived on in the huge online community of Porter Robinson fans - most directly on Tumblr. Fans have recorded and re-edited the visuals into animated GIFs. This was quickly followed by original fan art based on our characters and worlds. A few even went to shows in Worlds cosplay. This embrace of the work - both online and offline - ended up being one of the coolest parts of the project, and fitting for something that began as inspiration pulled from the firehose of online digital ephemera.
