I'm curious about your last smurfs post - what are your other ships?

Papa Smurf x Smurfwillow (or Papawillow as I also call it), Handy Smurf x Marina and Grandpa Smurf x Nanny Smurf are amongst my top favourites.

I used to have a certain ship with Brainy too, but then NTOB punched me right in the face with his adorable interractions with Smurfblossom and, huh, let's say I have a new favourite with him lol

And I also like Poet Smurf x Painter Smurf, Grouchy Smurf x Vexy a bit too (even if it's mostly through my own interpretation of their dynamic lol) and Clumsy Smurf x Smurfstorm as well (thank you Lost Village).

I headcanon that Smurflily has a one-sided attraction to Smurfette (tragic lesbian romance my beloved), that Chef Smurf has a secret crush on Chef Toctoque (you know, that human cook in Mission Vileaf he keeps gushing about) and that Farmer Smurf is the local aromantic who likes to ship his fellow Smurfs together.

my icon being smurfstorm actually has a story behind it though.

someone (or multiple people? i dont know and/or remember) kept sending me asks about smurfstorm x guy ships, and every time i repetitively answered with "i don't ship this, i headcanon smurfstorm as a lesbian and can't imagine her dating a man." eventually i got tired of responding in the same way every time so i just made my icon smurfstorm in front of the lesbian flag. now everyone who comes to my blog will know that i see smurfstorm as a lesbian.

Our next couple is Hefty x SmurfStorm.

The reason why they look the way they do has a backstory to it.

Stormy originally had a crush on Clumsy before he came out as gay and married Brainy and was initially hesitant of falling in love again.

Hefty, who began to develop feelings for Stormy, understands what Stormy is going through and shares a moment he had with Smurfette (he also secretly dated Brainy, but that's a story for another day).

So, these two strong Smurfs found love in each other.

I really like how Stormy came out.

Hefty, not so much, but better than the last time I drew him.

Oh, yeah, and they're both bi.

And I think that more or less sums it up better than I ever could XD Tbh I don’t think Brainy is uh, how should we say, all that into women XD His comic does vary with Smurfette but for the most part, he’s more terrified of her. Stormy on the other hand, well if she had to make a list of the guys - no, ALL of the Smurfs she would date, Brainy would be on the very bottom. Funny in some regards but definitely not gonna work for em XD

Smurfs coming across the kwamis and becoming miraculous holders.

im not a miraculous ladybug fan i just reblog posts sometimes bc i think theyre neat but heres some based on what i learned from looking stuff up. why are there so fucking many miraculouses. i like this though... we have potential.

now for explanations.

at first, i wanted brainy to have the ladybug miraculous. brainy's Theme Animal is a ladybug. he's got a ladybug patterned roof, he has snappy bug, there's that one comic with him excitedly talking about ladybugs.

but THEN i discovered kaalki. the kwami whose miraculous is a fucking PAIR OF GLASSES, and whose personality is described as THIS on the wiki:

...yeah i dont have to explain why that's brainy, right?

brainy would be super salty about getting the horse miraculous because horses are kinda lame, especially if you're a smurf whose only experience with horses is nearly being crushed by their hooves on a human road. he'd go on a rant about how much he didn't want kaalki- but then she'd say the "glorious heroes" bit mentioned on that wiki page, and brainy would immediately categorize himself as one of those "glorious heroes" and decide that the horse miraculous is the Best Miraculous, Actually. he'd go through a mythology book to find a cool horse-themed superhero name and decide on chiron, because chiron was "the wisest of all the centaurs" and brainy considers himself the wisest of all the smurfs.

clumsy gets the dog miraculous bc he is loyal and stupid like a dog. there would be no secret identity for clumsy in this au because clumsy wouldn't think to come up with a superhero name and the moment someone asked him his name he WOULD accidentally blurt out his real name.

smurfette gets the butterfly miraculous bc smurfette's Theme Animal is a butterfly and no others spoke to me about her the way kaalki did about brainy. also nooroo deserves to help a hero.

jokey getting the mouse miraculous is a ref to the ntob episode with all the mini jokeys.

at this point i stopped having in depth thoughts and just went with my gut. smurfhoney and hefty are based on their miraculous animals. smurfbegonia's and smurfblossom's were chosen bc of their kwami's personalities. smurflily's was chosen bc she fits longg's "perfection" gimmick.

and smurfstorm's was chosen bc according to the wiki in the miraculous universe the fucking MONKEY KING himself got his powers from the monkey miraculous. thats, uh, well. she would be fucking UNSTOPPABLE. the warrior spirit and determination of smurfstorm + the powers of THE FUCKING MONKEY KING???? jesus fuck this shouldn't be allowed.

Which Smurfs do you headcanon as lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, or any other sexuality?

I haven't seen most of your art, so I would like to know.

clumsy is panromantic and polyamorous. i don't think he'd be able to restrict himself to only showing romantic attraction towards one person. it's just the kinda thing he doesn't understand. if people love each other, they should love each other! why not?

the rainbow gay flag on brainy, tailor, and vanity mainly just means "attracted to men and people who are neither men or women, not attracted to women." it doesn't necessarily mean mlm because gender stuff is weird- vanity probably considers himself the most "Man Who Loves Men" out of the trio, brainy doesn't consider himself a man at all, and tailor is too busy with his work to think too hard about gender thank you very much. he's got tights to sew.

lazy is aromantic! he doesn't rlly want any romance stuff, thanks.

smurfstorm is a lesbian no surprise there

smurfette is a lesbian but doesn't even know it herself- she's dealt with pretty intense compulsory heterosexuality for most of her life given that she was essentially created to flirt with boys... that's gotta give her some issues surrounding sexuality and i can bring up a bunch of "comphet smurfette" moments from the 80s cartoon

i CANNOT imagine hefty dating anyone who isn't a girl. sorry hefty.

as i wrote in the bottom left, they'd all be considered asexual among other species, because smurfs don't really have a concept of sexual attraction. romance and stuff is the most they can do.

and just assume biromantic unless i stated otherwise here, because that's usually my default headcanon.
