28/09/2024-Horseweed, a distant shot of Wigeons, Lapwings, Coot and possibly Redshank and Curlew looking into Stanpit Marsh from the head, wild raddish which I enjoyed seeing today and one of the star butterflies of a few great ones seen on a Saturday on the coast for the second week running Small White from a walk from Hengistbury Head to Southbourne and back today.

Other highlights of the great time out today were fantastic views of pristine Painted Ladies, radiant Small Coppers, Red Admirals, top views of Large Whites too, Silver Y, Light Brown Apple moth, Common Green Lacewing which is always fascinating to see, a stunning Dartford Warbler view, a few Stonechats, House Sparrows, Turnstone, Blackbird, Lesser Black-backed Gull, seaside daisy, dock, white clover, eyecatching scarlet pimpernel, honeysuckle, thrift, groundsel, rock samphire and parasol mushrooms. In some top time on a fine sunny morning at home I enjoyed seeing Woodpigeons and Collared Doves including together and Magpies.

heyyyy here is irne again and i need help!

i'm looking for a friend(s) from the uk, preferably from dorset (poole, bournemouth etc).

as my mutuals know, i'm writing a novel. it's supernatural novel about, firstly, mental transformation: the main character goes from "work, religion and work again" phase to image of loving and attentive person, who accepts unusual features in other people instead of avoiding or criticizing them (in some cases it's still so, but in general...........). that's the way of understanding himself, backing to his cultural roots and, of course, becoming adult not only biologically but psychologically: he learns to love without prejudice, without following religious tenets, just to love the person he loves only for who she is.

the action of my novel starts and ends in dorset. some characters live in poole, some in bournemouth, some in the suburbs. it's 1890's, so there will be the shaming of bicyclettes, suffragettes and "hysterical" women. maybe it will be interesting for somebody...

so that's why i'm asking for help.

is anybody in britpop fandom from there?

oh yes, that novel is inspired by britpop! no spoilers, just a warning: this idea contains the rule 63 and a bit of ooc, so you may see not so strictly canonical characters.

but ahem, back to my point.

i hope you've read to this line.

i don't mean i wanted your friendship just for writing my novel. i would really love to meet new friends in the uk, and i'm interested in history and culture, mythology and mentality... unfortunately, in internet i can't find enough information about, for example, stone circles or other ancient monuments in poole or bournemouth area and particularly attitude to them in late victorian era, or about recreation villages (or how is it called in the uk???) near by poole or christchurch idk... ok, i could search it for hours and hours and not imagine that at all, but i hope that i'll find a friend who'd show me their native places, tell me stories about these lands with love and warmth.

i'm from russia, yes, and my english is far from the perfect level. but only because of tumblr my english improves constantly. and it will be great to meet a person whom i could talk to. about britpop, about dorset, about cats or something else...

i'm waiting for you.

A former church in Dorset has been reopened as a local convenience store.

The Methodist church building on Poole Road in Westbourne, Bournemouth, had been empty for three years before it was bought by Tesco.

The stained glass windows depicting Biblical characters have been kept at the new Tesco Express and the exterior largely remains the same.

A Methodist Church spokeswoman said it could not influence what its buildings were used for after being sold.

The spokeswoman added: "The money from the sale though has gone back to the local church group so that they can use it to enrich their community and develop the way they worship.

"Some people have suggested we should be angered by it but there are far worse things happening that we are worried about."

Bournemouth Borough Council gave permission for the conversion.

Following the sale, the council approved a "change of use" application.

i feel like people need to know about the absolute decadence of that one weird tesco express in bournemouth
