I watched bend it like bekham last night after a really long time, only remembering snippets of it from when I watched it as a kid. It was such a great watch, especially since I belong to the same culture as the main character. And also of course, Keira Knightley.

me explaining the lore of my ocs for the sixth time: no but that’s the thing, oakley found the amulet in a store, thinking “oh neat, that looks sick” and bought it, but the guy that sold the amulet told him it was cursed. oakley didn’t believe in magic, said “miss me with that fantasy bullshit”, and still bought it. but as he put on the amulet, he was teleported into another dimension where magic is real! so now he has to figure out how to get home because a thief stole the amulet. things don’t go as planned, and then it turns out that a cult was tasked to kill him-
