Hello! I saw you're posts about you're takes on the Oddswitch Au, how do you headcanon Abe to be in Oddswitch? I also really like you're art and keep up the good work! :)

Oh my god, I so want to show what I've done with the other character and species for the Oddswitch AU, I even made OC Mudokons that I want to show you, I think I'll simply show you the rough sketch in the end, I simply don't have time anyway to clean everything at the moment...

For Abe, @boopwyrm, @oddswitcharchive and @ohfugecannada already wrote really great thing about Oddswitch!Abe that, honestly, I couldn't write better.

To be honest, the only thing I would change is his skin colors more in red/purple rather than blue to fit with red shaman head canon , and change his name into something like "Lure the Prophet", a nod to his full name, Abraham Lure.

Once I got more time, I'll get into this again, I have way too much work on this AU to not show anything.

Three turn on's for Dokk: Being able to talk to someone on the same level when it comes to things like tinkering or medical care, When you make sweets for him, just being nice to the guy really.

Three turn off's for Dokk: Making fun of his limbs, Insulting his height, if you talk badly behind his family's back.

What Dokk looks for in a partner: They need to be able to handle that he is physically handicapped and are willing to assist him when it's needed, He wants someone that's compassionate and patient, They need to like children as he handles them often.

Here’s a slightly unfinished sketch thing of my take on the Oddswitch AU version of Molluck.

I based his outfit partly on @boopwyrm’s design. They made him super tall based on thier own headcanon that native/non-industrialised glukkon’s legs would keep growing as they evolved to the point where their average hight was about 13 feet tall. I wanted to see what Oddswitch!Molluck would look like with a short body similar to @francoisl-artblog’s Glukkon scrub designs.

More backstory/headcanon stuff under the cut.

I like the idea of Molluck as a wannabe glukkon saviour of sorts, mirroring Abe’s role as the mudokon messiah in canon, as suggested by @boopyworm. Since their artwork depicts him with more native clothes, I thought maybe switch!Molluck could be born/raised in isolated native glukkon society as opposed to being born into slavery. As I feel like an industrial-outsider protagonist isn’t something we’ve seen that often in canon aside from munch.

Before the events of the story, I imagine he was either a native farmer or hunter, as a callback to the stockglukk profession of his canon counterpart. The reason Molluck would go on to try and save the enslaved glukks and rebel against the Mudokons is because of his years of seeing the mudokons stealing land from nature and animals being either taken to be bred for meat and slaughtered on mass or over-hunted to extinction. Amoug… other reasons.

Plus, seeing his fellow glukkons avoiding taking action against the mudokons and instead go deeper into hiding and preserve the culture that the mudokons were continually destroying sparked a lot of anger in Molluck and drove him to want to take direct action to save his kind. This definitely created tension and resentment between Molluck and his fellow natives and high alchemists, who discouraged him from his whole quest. Saying the Glukkon tribes couldn’t risk engaging in conflict with the vastly overpowered mudokons while they were still venerable. Or as one of Mollucks colleagues warned him;

“No glukkon has ever beaten a mudokon… ever…”

@oddest-worlds Hi! Sorry for the late answer! I’ve been super busy and kinda burnt out with my animation coursework and almost forgot about this until I got your reply.

So, I wanted to talk about some ideas for Alf’s role in the AU. I think about how it be an interesting idea to see characters who were villains in canon (I.e. Molluck, the main three Glukkons from Exoddus and Soulstorm, Humphrey & Irwin etc) would be like as genuinely good (or at least, not as monstrous as their canon counterparts). As well as character like the Mudokons could be reimagined as E V I L.

When it came to Alf, I was thinking about what he would be like as a villain, and while I was doing research on sites like Magog on the March, I came across this archived text from the old website:

And with that, I was struck with inspiration:

In the Oddswitch AU, once a humble, insignificant worker, the drone Alfrenzo Lure soon rose to power and prominence as a renowned medium. Claiming to be in touch with the gods themselfs, Alfrenzo used this Devine connection to answer the questions sent in by his many fans. And got pretty damn rich off it, too! Alfrenzo is many things, charismatic... funny... intelligent... handsome... and a complete hack! As many of his visions and prophetic claims are either contradicted by existing information or complete fabrications. Yet, despite his questionable legitimacy as a true medium and his even more facetious answers for the questions he’s given, Alfrenzo’s power, influence and popularity remains unscathed to this day. Perhaps because it is of his ever growing riches, his obvious charm and good looks, or the sheer devotedness of his many followers, whatever comes from the great Alfrenzo’s mouth is taken as gospel by fans, no matter how much they should probably be taken with a pinch of salt...

(As you can tell I had way to much fun writing that last paragraph)

Tldr I basically envision Alf in the Oddswitch timeline being a mix of this Evangelical angle the old site jokes about, his role in Dear Alf and some of his more jerkass tendancies of his old quintology appearances, plus a cross between a fake psychic/faith healer and a pre-Ironman Tony Stark. Being a seemingly untouchable popular psychic medium with a cult like following on the one hand and being a egocentric, envious, cowardly, snarky jerk when there are no cameras on him. (Though, he does still harbour a genuine soft spot for a certain bookworm younger brother of his who’s name starts with a T)

I also like to think of Alfrenzo being a drone in this timeline (hence, the big eyebrows) since it was heavily implied by Lorne in that tweet about mudokon queens and drones that Alf may be in the early stages of turning from worker to drone . I like to imagine Alfrenzo made his transition from worker to drone much earlier in his life due to the Mudokon supremacy being a lot more chill about the whole dormant drone thing compared to the Magog Cartel. It also might’ve helped that he was already born a tall mudokon like you suggested.

Of course this is just my own interpretation of the character, and I wouldn’t mind knowing what you or anyone else had in mind for Alf in the AU.

Also, the design above is just kind of a place holder based on what I imagined in my head. If you guys have ideas for a better design then what I haphazardly rushed out, I’d love to see it!

Oddswitch AU ideas #1

Some ideas I thought of recently mostly centered around Abe, The Keeper, and Queen Sam. With mentions of Alf and Tobi.

Abe and Sam’s relation is still the whole mother-and-son relation but of course, she’s been told about what Abe could become although is unsure. Because Oddswitch Abe wouldn’t have stitched lips since things are different, so she gives him special treatment compared to the rest of her children. Abe is also aware of this treatment so if he feels that other Mudokon try to mistreat him, he can tell that ‘mom won’t like what you will do to me.’

Abe and The Keeper relation are something of a mentor-and-assistant, he just helps her with her stuff… nothing more than that.

Oddswitch Alf would be a Tall Mudokon, idea/design made by Francoisl, going off of his Soulstorm design. He and Toby have a brother-like friendship though.

Toby is still the same and just sticks around with Alf.

The Keeper still has her job of archiving the history of the Mudokons and she’s aware of what their kind has done towards the Glukkons although she, sadly, chooses not to say anything as to not face the wrath of Queen Sam.

Speaking of Sam, she’s kind, motherly, and friendly… but she truly hides her evil well to outsiders of her race. As long they don’t cause trouble to her and her children…

Aqla what do you work and what businesses like most glukkon have & do.

"I'm a specialty fashion designer in Nolybab. I market high-end clothing for mudokon servants and occasionally take on commissions from glukkons. I also co-founded a modeling agency to advertise my work."

"Each model is hand picked, my runway is particularly unique because I only take on exotic or endangered breeds to show off. Shaba was the first mudokon I met after being expelled from the labs and the reason I came up with the idea. The agency makes me a lot of mullah and doubles as a means of conserving species who would otherwise be lost without it."

After years of playing these dumb generator games, I finally made my own!

Just put in a name and receive your very own idea for a superhero! Complete with civilian identity, convoluted backstory, main motivation, weird super powers, the whole works!

To tell you the truth, I had the idea for this generator for years, having the list of results and variables in my phone notes. I just could never find a way to create it. Since I’ve been playing diagnosis games with Shindan Maker (thanks to @spoocyshrub’s character results showing up on my dash a lot), I figured I’d make an account on there with my Twitter and finally make this generator idea a reality! Personally, I don’t think it’s half bad for a first attempt. But I’m open to criticism, so if you use this, let me know if I could improve on anything.

Anyway, feel free to use this for whatever like as a superhero oc writing/drawing prompt maker or simply just for fun if you’re bored!
