⎯⎯ cooking up a new enemies to lovers fic in the making. Multiple people have reached out over the last few months asking me to rewrite TVD and your calls have been answered! The idea has been in my drafts for some years but it’s finally brewing. Still in the drafting process so it could go live early of next year or after I complete Warm-Blooded, not sure yet. We’ll see as I ride the wave. But enjoy the gif I created and a peek at the title of the fic !
What To Expect In This Rewrite?
• Bonnie will attend the Mikaelson Ball and meet many of the Mikaelson’s if not all, as it should’ve been.
• Klaus is infatuated with Bonnie from the start, the only person in history to have come close to nearly killing him. Though still tempted to kill his sole threat when mildly provoked. He wants that power at his side, even if he goes about it the wrong way in the only way he knows how.
• Kol possibly interested in Bonnie and her magic? Maybe they team up? Idk. Maybe she and Rebekah end up forming a friendship of sort?
• Lots of angst. Lots of toxicity. Lots of violence and manipulation. Lots of eventual hate sex.
• College-setting. (I’m not in hs and feel more comfortable writing these heavy themes if the main mortals are a bit older)
• Bonnie finally puts herself first and perhaps needed a bit of convincing
• Plus much more I haven’t outlined yet.
Currently still rewatching the season, but I’m open to ideas and etc one might want to see or explored in this rewrite. This is my first non oc fic and I’m very excited about it.

Whiskers and Magic
Ladies, gentlemen & others, I welcome you to Five Days of Bonnie Birthdays. Each day I gift you all with one of the many ways Klaus chooses to celebrate Bonnie on her special day. Join Klaus in appreciating all the goodness of Bonnie Bennett.

Bonnie’s birthday arrived like a quiet storm, its weight unnoticed by those who were supposed to remember. She turned away from her homework to check her phone. The messages were few—a generic text from her dad, Rudy, who was away on business, a brief “Happy Birthday” followed by a promise to call later that week. No call. No cake.
Bonnie tried to focus on her textbook, the words on the page dancing mockingly in front of her. She plugged in her earbuds, letting music fill the silence. The doorbell rang and the Bennett witch sprang up from her bed in a rush to answer.
Her eyes narrowed at the sight of the Original Hybrid upon opening the door. Klaus stood on her doorstep with a kitten cradled in his arms. It blinked up at her, wide-eyed and innocent, a stark contrast to the chaos of its unlikely keeper.
“What are you doing here?” Bonnie asked, her tone filled with suspicion. She wasn’t in the mood for games. She wasn’t in the mood for him.
“I’ve come to give you a gift,” the blue-eyed menace said, his voice rich and warm.
Bonnie tilted her head in confusion. A gift? From him? Did he forget all the times she tried to kill him? Was the gift poison? Her last question was answered when Klaus handed her the kitten.
“For your magic,” Klaus explained, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Many witches keep familiars. This one has potential."
The Bennett witch blinked at the kitten and immediately started brainstorming potential names. The kitten had unusually purple eyes. Lavender? Yes, a fitting name for the small, fluffy creature in her arms.
“You’re giving me a kitten?” she asked, as if it was the most absurd thing anyone had ever suggested.
Klaus shrugged as a smirk graced his face, "Magic needs focus, doesn’t it? Perhaps this little one will help you find it.”
"Why?" she asked gently as she stared into his eyes. She tried to detect the sincerity in his gaze for she knew how deceptive the Original could be.
Klaus leaned forward shortening the distance between them. “Some gifts… are not always about the giver.”
The tension in the air shifted. Bonnie felt a warmth rise in her cheeks as his eyes traveled the length of her body. He was flirting with her. And she didn't mind it.
“Invite me inside?” he asked, his eyes dancing with a challenge. “I think we could enjoy a drink. Or a conversation. Perhaps even… something more.”
Bonnie glanced down at the kitten, then back at him. A mischievous grin tugged at her lips. With a quick movement of her hand, magic closed the door in his face. The kitten mewed softly in her arms, as if in approval.
“Maybe next time,” she whispered to the door as she listened to Klaus' laughter on the other side.

4 + klonnie, esp if in a TO rewrite! 💞
4 ⧽. kissing in the middle of an argument.
THIS IS SOOOO GAGGY EXACTLLYYY OMG
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched TO so bare with me 🙏🏽
—
New Orleans had become Bonnie Bennett’s home. The last time she’d considered a place home, her grandmother had been alive. It was a long time since then, but she finally felt like she found a place she truly belonged. Naturally, she was absolutely livid about being asked to leave.
“No! Klaus, I am not going anywhere.”
It was pure misfortune that Klaus Mikaelson remained unearthly beautiful even in the fits of rage he currently displayed.
“It’s not up for discussion, little witch.”
He hadn’t lost it, not yet, but she could see the anger burning brightly behind his dark blue eyes.
“The hell it isn’t! You know how important it is for me to be here. The witches, the coven, all of it. I can handle anything that comes my way.”
His laugh was harsh, sardonic.
“Really? Anything? Tell me, darling, can you handle armies of witches, vampires, and werewolves, all coming, ready to tear you limb from limb? Can you handle a relentless onslaught from them at all hours of the day and night, the manifestations of their hatred and hunger for power? Can you handle your so-called old friends returning and joining them, facing off against you because of where you align yourself now? Tell me, my dearest Bonnie, truly, can you handle it?”
“Yes I can!”
She didn’t care that she was shouting now. It felt good to shout, to scream out her emotions. Mystic Falls never gave her enough space to breathe. In New Orleans, she could scream her lungs out and keep coming up for air after if she wished to.
“Just because you don’t care for your own life does not mean others share the sentiment!”
He was shouting too now, and some sick, twisted part of her enjoyed it. She enjoyed the fact that she could anger the Hybrid King, that she alone could produce such heightened emotions from him. Maybe that’s why she’d come closer with every word, and why she held herself so straight as she neared him, yelling out, “Enlighten me, then! What exactly do you care for?”
Klaus’s gaze lit itself on fire. Bonnie’s eyes widened. His hands came up to her face, he pulled her in, and kissed her. She was frozen in shock for a single second. Then, she kissed him back with everything she had in her, clutching him as close as she could to her. They broke apart but he kept her flush against him, his forehead touching hers lightly.
“I’m staying,” Bonnie whispered, “I’m not going anywhere. Not without you.”
“Bonnie — ” Klaus murmured, strained.
“No. We rule here. They will not chase us out.” She took his hand carefully, placing it between them to rest on her stomach. His fingers caressed the fabric, brushing back and forth over it.
“If they come for one of us, they are coming for all of us now.” She felt his sigh stir her hair, his palm flattening out against her belly.
“Then we will raze them all to the ground.”
That smile she loved, maniacal and bloodthirsty, rose into his lips.
Her own followed with it.

klonnie au|inspired by the haunted mansion: For over a thousand years Klaus has loved and mourned his former wife, Bonnie. He has searched and discarded many companionships, but no one has been able to love and understand him like Bonnie did. Klaus has forcibly adapted to life without her, but on his journey to break his curse, he sees Bonnie following around a certain doppelgänger. He knows in his heart that Bonnie has returned to him and he's going to need his siblings' help getting her back.
An excerpt from this fic:
Bonnie set her skepticism aside as she sat her duffle bed on the large vintage ottoman of the Mikaelsons spare bedroom. Rebekah planned her birthday sleepover for her fellow cheerleaders weeks ago. This “holiday” was extra special to Bonnie’s physics partner, as her older brothers would be turning home from their business trip. While Rebekah has only been at Mystic Falls High for four weeks, Bonnie oddly trusted her like a sister.
The little witch was the first to arrive at the Mikaelson mansion. With whispers of magic in the house Bonnie couldn’t help but investigate. As a newbie witch, she wanted to find any source of new information possible. Her bedroom for the night was vintage styled and decorated with vibrant flowers in every corner. The smell of citrus hit her nose and she couldn’t be more pleased.
Bonnie did a twirl in the mirror admiring Rebekah’s choice in silk nightgowns and headbands. The witch saved herself some preparation time by pinning up her curled hair. Her peer did inform her since she was there first, she got to choose the red gown specifically. When was the last time her life was centered around an enjoyable night and not the struggles of being supernatural?
“You look beautiful,” Rebekah grinned, and stepped into the bedroom. “I could not imagine my birthday without you. You have been the kindest friend.”
Bonnie quickly accepted the hug. She felt a sense of magic within Rebekah but trusted she’d tell the truth on her own terms. Whether that be as a witch, werewolf or vampire. This girl was kind and it wouldn’t be fair though her friends suggested otherwise to call her out. Besides, Bonnie hadn’t even met the rest of the family. The cheer squad’s first night at the Mikaelsons wasn’t going to be filled with drama, not on Rebekah’s day.
“Wouldn’t miss your birthday for the world,” Bonnie replied, giving Rebekah an extra squeeze. “I can help you set up.”
Rebekah laughed at that. “Nonsense, darling, I can handle everything. Take a tour of my home.”
“Are you sure?” Bonnie asked, with her eyes wide. “What if I helped set the tables, arrange blankets or even do the food?”
“Yes, do not worry in my home you are not a guest here,” Rebekah said, sternly with a sigh beginning to turn away. The teen wasn’t even finished applying her makeup-and was still dressed in her bright robe. The rolls were just beginning to slip in her blonde hair. “Just shout if you need me!”
Bonnie checked her phone Caroline and Elena would be running late for different reasons. The others on the squad were on their way or running behind leaving Bonnie to explore on her own.
The Mikaelson manor sent shivers down Bonnie's spine. The place felt like a magical hotspot, giving her goosebumps all over. While she admired the clever vintage-themed designs of the family, she found their home to be dangerously confusing to navigate.
Bonnie decided to go to the nearest room with a light seeping through under the door. She gasped, as she accidentally stepped into a private art space.
The woman in the painting reminded Bonnie of herself before she entered the supernatural world: happy, carefree and filled with gratitude. Magic gave this woman joy. She existed across different eras, and Bonnie couldn't help but notice the time periods, which ranged from 1002 to the 2010s. The artist signed himself as Nik M with sentiments on eternal love. The woman through the art had lived through each era, embodying the luxurious fashion trends of Black women.
Bonnie wouldn’t go so far as to call this woman her doppelgänger, but the similarities were striking. They both had green eyes, golden skin, thick dark hair and other common traits like freckles in the Bennett’s. The young witch tried not to dwell on it, but for a moment, she entertained the unsettling thought of being a doppelgänger and shivered at the idea.
The painting that captivated Bonnie the most was of a woman with curly hair obscuring her face, holding her head high as if magic were being used to promote relaxation. Surrounded by a lush garden, she appeared more content than anything else in the world. In fact, in none of these paintings the woman was never down; she was at peace. As Bonnie reached out to touch the painting, she quickly withdrew her hand when the door opened.
“Not everyday I find a beautiful woman in my study,”
This man was unlike any she had ever seen. His dimpled grin and the curls resting on his shoulders caught Bonnie off guard. He had an enticing scent of expensive cologne that hinted at his attention to appearance. Although his shirt and pants were a simple dark henley with jeans, she couldn't help but notice his preference for a chain featuring a butterfly around his neck. Yes, she noticed an English accent similar to Rebekah’s.
“You can call me Nik, what is your name?” Nik asked, holding his hand out for Bonnie. “I am one of Rebekah’s eldest brothers.”
“Bonnie. Bonnie Bennett,” Bonnie said, returning the shake.
Their enclosed hand jolted upon touch and Bonnie quickly pulled away hoping Klaus didn’t notice.
“I thought Rebekah said you wouldn’t be home until later?”
“It is my sister’s birthday, what type of brother would I be without a surprise?”
“Dramatic entrance, for a smart brother.”
“I strive for the element of surprise, my love.” Nik smiled at the compliment.
Never being alone with a grown man before Bonnie’s mouth went dry and she got flustered. She was met at an uncomfortable crossroad. Be herself or do what her friends would do? She chose herself first.
“I can leave,” Bonnie suggested, not knowing how to flirt properly. “I know art can be really personal. I wouldn’t want to disrespect your space.”
“As an artist, explaining my motives is just as important. Would you desire a tour?” Nik questioned, holding his hand out for Bonnie. “There are hundreds perhaps more here. All of my wife.”
Bonnie reluctantly accepted the warm invitation. Their hands jolted and she felt a fiery passion burn the closer she was to Klaus.
“Do you mind if I ask what happened?” Bonnie asked, as judging the photos of the woman framed on his antique desk.
“She was murdered, and before that, we promised eternal love. We wanted our story to be heard for centuries. I use my art to cope with her loss.” Nik sighed, as he traced a photo of the woman in seventies inspired clothing. “Love will never die, it was rather the purest forms of eternal affection.”
“I’m sorry you lost her. The way you remember her is really beautiful, Nik.” Bonnie compliments, and secretly swoons over him. “Did you ever receive justice for her murder?”
Klaus mockingly grinned at that question. “That person will never be heard from again. Tell me, Bonnie, do you ever think it is possible for souls to be connected?”
“Sounds like something out of a movie.” Bonnie said, brushing off the question. Not wanting to reveal her witch status.
“I think some people are aligned by fate. What goes around will return if it is meant to be.” Klaus pauses, and gazes into Bonnie really studying her beauty.
Klaus's throat went dry as he realized that Bonnie was exactly who Rebekah had described: his small, courageous, and daringly beautiful witch who loved him unashamedly. The red silk gown sparked the most enticing thoughts in his mind, and her skin still bore the sweet scent of honeysuckle that he remembered. However, instead of rushing to confess things that might send Bonnie running for the hills, he chose a softer approach.
“You're distracting, my love, would you like to see other pieces of art? The gardens perhaps?”
Bonnie blushed in response. There was something mystical and comforting about the mystical English artist. She’d rather hear stories about a man who loved his wife so much he kept her immortal in time.
“First, I want to know all about the artist and his work dedicated to making his wife immortal,” Bonnie said, looking into Klaus eyes. She might not tell everyone but she too enjoyed a romantic story from time to time!
For a fleeting moment that almost made the witch step-away she believed she saw Amber colored eyes but blue settled back in.
“Who would I be to disagree with a ravishing woman?” Klaus asked, pulling Bonnie closer to him. He wanted to moan at how sweet she smelled.
Bonnie giggled, and rolled her eyes. “Then I want that tour of the gardens and the pool area please? Rebekah is still getting ready.”
“As you wish,” Klaus obliged, and he noticed how Bonnie loved eye contact and physical touch as he explained his motives though she already understood him.
Klaus didn’t need to taste her blood or have a witch perform a spell to understand his wife had returned back to him. Once the time is right, Bonnie too will believe in their love again. His mother and father sought to keep them separated and Klaus will go to the ends of the earth to ensure Bonnie never leaves his life again.
The original vampire is just grateful Rebekah stalled Bonnie as he removed the paintings of her sleeping, jogging, gardening and anything else without her knowledge that would incriminate him too soon.

Why do you think Klaus not into Bonnie? It felt like he should have been.
I guess it depends on what you mean by "into" Bonnie.
I personally don't think Klaus would have been romantically into anyone in TVD and anything else was just random fanservice. Klaus had spent a thousand years attempting to undue his curse and 100 years running from his own family. He finally breaks the curse and is reunited with his family, only to do nothing? To sit around town and go to high school dances? This man is over 1,000 years old. I'm sorry, but he's not hanging out in a town with one bar and all the patrons are on vervain.
Klaus is power hungry and finally got all of the power he wanted. Why would he settle down in a small town? In the past, we saw him happiest when he was taking over cities like Chicago and New Orleans. Klaus wasn't in the mind to look for romance, he was looking to reclaim the power he felt was taken from him. Honestly, the only connection in TVD that made sense was "hate-banging" Hayley because there was zero love there. This fits Klaus' character at that time. He was still the man who felt like love was a weakness. Nothing that happened in TVD would have persuaded him overwise. TO had to spend the time and energy to convince him that loving someone else was worth it, something TVD didn't do because he was actively the villain.
Now if you're asking why he wasn't into Bonnie as a Bennett witch, it's cause of bad writing. Klaus loved powerful witches. He needed powerful witches. It would have been a better story line to watch him try to charm Bonnie into helping him (much like he did with Genevieve or Greta). But I can't see Bonnie falling for it and helping him in any shape or form without threats to her family. Even when he did threaten her, she hated him and tried not to help. Klaus was actively murdering people she cared about, torturing her and her friends, and all of his goals went directly against her own. Her mom got caught up in it all and killed. Hell, her mom abandoned her trying to keep Klaus' dad locked up. They were always on the opposite side of things, which would have made a team up hard, but no impossible.
I definitely find it out of character and just bad writing that he wasn't more focused on Bonnie while in town. If they just had to do another pedophilic story of minors getting with 100+ year old men, this would have been the one to tease. Like I said, Klaus liked to charm and flirt with his witches to get things done. The tension could have been fun, but I just can't see Bonnie taking it any further. The fact that Caroline did made me lose so much respect for her character. But at least with Bonnie, there would have been plot reasons for Klaus interacting with Bonnie. Cause again, Klaus seemed to have no plot or reason to be in TVD after Elena was turned. His presence made no sense, but maybe him trying to recruit Bonnie could have been something. But this would have given Bonnie a lot more storylines which the writers/producers hated to do.
I will say, I could see like an AU world of Klaus meeting Bonnie as an adult later in life, he would likely be into her. Bonnie and Cami have always reminded me of each other. And the qualities they share are the qualities Klaus loved in Cami.
Thanks for the ask!

Klonnie Mischief Movie Night
Before anyone roasts me I would like to mention that I have never seen a horror movie before and this is loosely based off of Monster House.
“C'mon Bonnie it’s not that scary.” Caroline teased as Elena, Tyler, Matt, and Bonnie stood outside the abandoned Mikaelson residence. “Caroline we aren’t kids anymore. I mean, we are about to graduate from college for heaven's sake!” Bonnie exclaimed as she crossed her arms. She knew she should probably just get on the road and head back to her apartment in Maryland, but she couldn’t leave her friends. Caroline pouted and stomped her foot like a child, looking at Bonnie. “I mean, we will be in there together.” Elena smiled, trying to remain hopeful. Something about the house rubbed Bonnie the wrong way and no matter what she did, she couldn’t shake it.
“Fine, I’ll go. Just so we all are clear, I will be the final girl.” Bonnie sighed as she walked inside with her two friends. The trio lost a bet to Matt and since they lost, this was the punishment. Bonnie walked inside behind Elena, clutching the flashlight in her hand. The door suddenly slammed and the three of them screamed. Not thinking, they all ran off, terrified of the slam. Bonnie seemed to be lost, looking around for some source of light. She sighed and found a nearby bathroom and wet her palm. She quickly put a flame in her hand, thankful that she learned early on to manage her pyrokinesis.
She sighed as she walked around, looking for a sign of her friends. She called their names out timidly, listening for any sign of life. She heard a high-pitch scream, followed by silence and her fear kicked up a notch. “Caroline I swear to God if you are fucking with me I am fucking you up when I see you!” She called out, trying to swallow her scream. She continued down the hall before tripping over what felt like a log. She groaned as her body hit the ground before she looked down and saw blonde hair. She froze and tried to gather herself to turn around and look. She blinked a few times before looking at the face and seeing Caroline. She felt like she was going to puke as she tried to tell herself it was a prank. “C’mon Caroline enough is enough, get up.” She cried, looking down at the body.
She saw two oval-like holes in her neck and blood dripping below her. She began crying, still shaking her friend to wake up. “She’s not waking up love.” A British voice called out as she looked around. It sounded so close but so far away. “Caroline stop playing with me please.” She cried as a hand walked over and held hers. She looked up in fear as she saw a pair of black eyes and yellow irises. Swallowing her scream, she took off running, trying to find somewhere else to hide or to escape. She heard laughing in the background, like the person was taunting her. She tripped again, groaning as she tumbled hard. She looked down and noticed Tyler lying there and she froze.
Bonnie didn’t know what to do but it was clear her friends were now dead. The final girl thing was only meant to be a joke, but now it’s coming true. “You’re all alone with me, scaredy cat.” The same voice called out as it approached her. She looked up and now saw blue eyes as the stranger looked at her. She blinked a few times before realizing that she recognized the face. It was Niklaus Mikaelson, the man in all the photos. “Yes yes love, it’s me.” He chuckled, squatting down to look at Bonnie. He hummed as he held her chin and looked at her. He gently moved her face around to get a good look at her in the moonlight. “You are very beautiful my love but there is something about you. I can feel it, even just by holding your chin.” Klaus smiled as Bonnie thought. She realized that he knew she was a witch.
“Don’t worry pretty girl, I don’t want to harm you, I just want to taste you. You, my love, will be spared. I could never kill such a beautiful creature.” Klaus smiled before his eyes turned black. He suddenly pulled her close and sank his fangs into her neck. Bonnie let out a gasp, but for some reason couldn’t scream. The bite hurt at first but then it was replaced with a layer of pleasure. She didn’t know if it was his doing or hers but she knew that she wasn’t thinking straight. She blinked a few times before realizing she needed to escape. She held her hand out, summoning the nearby vase to her hand. Thankfully it was clear so she could see the water in the vase that was more than likely used to hold flowers.
She dipped her hand in the vase and then set it on fire. “Burn in hell.” She said angrily before gripping the hand that was on top of her hips. Suddenly he pulled away from the bite but only chuckled. “Fire won’t kill me love” Klaus whispered in her ear as the pair slowly were engulfed in flames. The two were fireproof but for vastly different reasons. Bonnie was able to use her magic to make herself a human match essentially but he was a mystery to her. “Flames can’t kill an original.” He whispered in her ear as they both stood there, two matches burning. Bonnie felt another bite on her neck and this time she let out a moan. Between the flames and his touch, something about this gave her a new high she’d never experienced. Almost like an addiction.
She soon felt her eyes getting heavy, realizing that he was taking a lot. She began to panic as she dismissed the flames, both of them now skin to skin. “Relax my love, I told you, I can’t harm such an innocent creature.” Klaus whispered before he bit his wrist and pressed it to her mouth. Bonnie began to drink from him, almost immediately getting used to the metallic flavor. It was strange for her and she worried that he somehow turned her into a vampire. She’d seen Twilight before and knew how fast humans became vampires. “Easy love, I would have to kill you to turn you. I will make sure that you make it home safely. Rest.” He whispered in her ear as she felt her eyes getting heavier. Soon she ended up passing out, her body limp in his hold.
When she woke up the next morning everything set in. She panicked as she tried to think of what to do. She grabbed her phone and immediately searched for a news report on the house. She saw Caroline’s name go across her screen and she teared up. “Bonnie? Oh my gosh, that goodness you’re okay. I had a horrible dream you and Elena were killed by some psychopath but then I woke up and saw Elena here but you weren’t and I panicked. I’m sorry to call you so early but I just wanted to hear your voice.” Caroline cried on the other end as Bonnie let out a sigh of relief. “I’m okay Care. I had a dream like yours so it’s good to hear your voice too.” Bonnie sniffled as the two girls began to calm down. Soon after Bonnie got a text from Tyler and Matt, checking on her. Bonnie was willing to dismiss everything as a bad dream until she noticed the bite marks on her neck. She tried to concentrate on Caroline talking and trying to soothe herself but her brain couldn’t stop staring at the bite marks.
Bonnie began to look at her entire body before realizing that she was in a henley. No man in her family owned a henley so clearly this was a stranger’s shirt. She headed out to the kitchen and she froze as she saw the vase from last night with fresh roses in it. She ended her call with Caroline before walking over to the vase and reading the letter that was below it.
“Last night was perfect my love. We burned like flames in an open field, fueling one another to continue on. I hope I can experience more of your fiery passion as well as your taste. Your blood is my new favorite addiction and I hope to have another bite soon” ~Niklaus
She read as she froze. It wasn’t some dream. What happened last night was real and the passion she felt was real too. She saw his number on the back of the card and thought about whether to call or not.

⎯⎯ ⎯⎯ The official cover for my enemies to lovers Klonnie Fic AHHHHHH!!!!! Yall don’t know how hard I worked on this especially with adjusting the font so it actually looks good. I really love it and it’ll look good through Wtp, and ofc, on here since I’ll be cross-posting between Wattpad, Ao3, and here.
This fic is still in the drafting process, writing and plotting here and there. I think id like to finish Warm-Blooded first — as I’ve already invested sooo much time into it — so that this fic can have most of my attention especially with it being my first non oc fic. I’m really excited about it and it’s something I truly want to complete and not halfass. Bonnie doesn’t deserve that !

Why it would’ve made more sense and played out better
So as we all know, Klaus and Haley had a magical baby that produced Hope. now I have always said that Haley being Hope’s mother never made sense logically and also by the standards of the TVD it never makes sense why Hope would be this powerful being when only her father is the most powerful being. it would have made more sense for them to create Klonnie, enemies to lovers and have Bonnie be her mother because you have the most powerful hybrid plus the most powerful, witch from the most powerful bloodline, that would give you your “death to all witches”.
Plus was talking about it and my moots made valid points:
“The problem with Klaus and Hayley is that they were both to extreme with their methods of parenting.
Hayley: Hope should hide her magic and identity and just be a wolf and play outside
Klaus: No one will ever understand Hope so she needs to be powerful enough to protect herself
Both have points, but either extreme would leave Hope unhappy. Hayley’s actually played out in canon an we saw how high spirited that baby was lol.
Bonnie would know the perfect balance and tone Klaus down. She had a fairly normal childhood *and* knows what it’s like to have power at a young age. She’d be able to teach Hope magic *while* allowing her keep her innocence.
And ~~no~~ full shade to Hayley, but Klaus has proven that he’s more willing to take Hopes criticisms parenting wise and adapt than she is lol.
The problem is everyone views Klaus ideas rooted in world domination and yes he was being extreme here. But forgets nobody protected him at his age and he couldn’t do anything about it bc he had no magic? No wolf powers
Plus Klaus was literally going through severe PTSD in s4. He was jumpy and uncomfortable from being in that dungeon for so long, you can’t expect him to be a perfect parent right away 😭
s4 spanned no more than what? 3 months? Hayley had the benefit of spending enough time with Hope to know her and what she wanted. Calling a 1000 year old man who was a victim of abuse “out of touch” for not knowing how to raise a toddler is kinda ridiculous.”
Like if Julie wasn’t Julie and was an actual good writer and person legacies would’ve been so great and the last two seasons of TO wouldn’t been trash. Yes Haley was an active parent but I also think she didn’t give Klaus the grace she gave herself. Why is it that Haley got Grace because of her upbringing but Klaus was condemned for his upbringing and how it played in his parenting roles? Just my opinion tho

A Toast to Love and Family
Another day, another birthday celebration for Bonnie. Here's Day 2 of Bonnie being appreciated by the unexpected love of life. Consider Day 1 as the beginning of this series as these are all set in the same universe. I'm happy to introduce Ava Bennett-Mikaelson, her parents' pride, and joy. Read Part One

The former prom queen had never thought she would end up here, living a quiet life in New York with Klaus Mikaelson, of all people. After leaving Mystic Falls in the rearview mirror following her high school graduation, Bonnie never imagined that a secret romance with her greatest enemy would turn into something so… normal. They had kept their love hidden from their friends and family back home, knowing they’d never understand. But here they were, in the heart of the city, with a daughter, a home, and a new chapter they’d carved for themselves.
On this morning, Bonnie lay still beneath the covers, the sunlight filtering through the curtains. Her dreams had been heavy, the weight of her pregnancy making every movement a little slower. Yet, the sound of small feet scampering across the floor stirred her from her slumber.
“Mama’s still sleeping, Papa,” a small voice whispered, filled with both excitement and mischief. The daughter of Bonnie and Klaus was a perfect mixture of the two with her mother's eyes and her father's lips. Ava Bennett-Mikaelson tugged on Klaus’ sleeve, the monstrous man turned into a gentle giant for his child.
Klaus, standing in the doorway with a slight frown. “Breakfast? You wish for me to make breakfast?”
Ava’s face lit up, her energy too big for her small frame. “Yes, Papa! We have to surprise Mama on her birthday!”
"I’m hardly an expert in the kitchen, love.”
With a determined look, Ava handed him a tablet, her tiny fingers swiping. “We can learn, Papa! Watch YouTube with me!”
Chuckling softly, Klaus sat beside her on the couch in the living room. They found themselves watching a cooking tutorial—scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Simple, yes. But cooking was a language Klaus had never quite learned.
Lavender, Bonnie’s sleek, black cat crawled into Ava's lap. Ava giggled, her small hands gently petting Lavender’s back. “You’re so soft, Lavender,” she whispered. The cat stretched out and nuzzled against Ava’s hand.
Klaus looked over and saw Ava’s hands now covered in a thin layer of dark fur. He knew what was coming next. “Ava,” he called lightly, walking toward her. “You need to wash your hands before we cook."
“But, Papa, Lavender doesn't have germs! She's magic!”
Klaus chuckled, "No one wants to eat food with cat fur in it and magic can still have germs."
The kitchen became a symphony of chaos. The next thirty minutes were filled with flourishes of bacon grease and scrambled eggs flying a little too far from the pan. Ava giggled as she handed Klaus utensils. "I think Mama will love it, Papa!"
By the time Bonnie’s alarm clock went off, Klaus and Ava had managed to get enough food ready to fill a small army. Klaus looked at the mess they'd created and, despite the destruction, couldn't help but feel a little proud. Ava was ready to present their masterpiece. Klaus knocked on the bedroom door before entering, carefully balancing the tray in his hands.
Bonnie stirred as they entered, her eyes fluttering open. Ava immediately burst into song, singing “Happy Birthday” at the top of her lungs, off-key but full of joy. Bonnie blinked back the sleep, her heart swelling with happiness as a stray tear or two fell. She reached for her daughter, her breath catching in her throat as she pulled Ava into her arms. Her gaze flickered to Klaus, his expression unreadable but soft.
Ava’s face fell slightly. “Mama, are you okay? Why are you crying?”
Bonnie laughed softly, wiping her tears. “These are happy tears, sweetheart. Mama’s just so, so happy.”
Klaus set the tray on the bed beside Bonnie and leaned over to kiss her forehead, his hands gentle despite the uncertainty he'd felt about their cooking endeavor. “Happy birthday, sweerheart,” he murmured.
Bonnie smiled up at him. “Thank you, both of you. This is perfect.”
Ava beamed proudly. “We made it just for you, Mama! Papa helped me!”
Bonnie kissed Ava’s cheek, before turning to Klaus. Her voice dropped into a playful tone. “And later, when Ava’s at her sleepover… I’ll show you just how grateful I am.”
Klaus raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a grin. “I look forward to it.”

Drabble Prompts
—
Bonnie Bennett loved suffering. Supposedly, according to many in Mystic Falls, she and her ragged band of friends were addicted to it. Why else were they always getting into supernaturally troubling situations? Dealing with drama and heartbreak from vampires and werewolves alike? Ruining their lives and the lives of everyone around them with their antics?
That was part of the reason why she left. She didn’t want to be that girl, the self sacrificial lamb, always offered up for slaughter while everyone around her dug in until there was nothing left. She did not want to be known as the girl who suffered so deeply and so severely that it became who she was.
Bonnie Bennett did not love suffering. She did, however, believe in it.
Yes, Bonnie Bennett believed in suffering. She believed it couldn’t be in vain, that all of the pain and all of the hurt had to be for something. She didn’t love to suffer, though. Which was why she wasn’t looking forward to the present conversation.
“What are you doing here?”
Klaus Mikaelson was to the point for once. Bonnie had hoped, despite traveling to his home in the middle of the night, that he would be in the mood for his usual games and dances. Unfortunately, he seemed to be in an already foul mood.
Excellent, she thought to herself, I might actually die when I tell him.
“I need to tell you something.” Her hands were shaking, so she curled them into fists. Klaus raised a quizzical eyebrow.
“Out with it then, little witch. I don’t have all night.”
God, he was not making this easier. She would just have to say it then.
“I think I’m in love with you.”
She watched his eyes widen a fraction and that was all it took for her to launch into a further explanation.
“And don’t ask me how, because I don’t know either. It just… happened. As many things do. But it’s done and I haven’t been able to figure out how to undo it. I think I’m in love with you, Klaus Mikaelson. And I’m terrified.”
Bonnie would have been prouder at rendering him speechless if her entire body hadn’t started shaking like a blown leaf.
“Say something,” she urged. He was just staring at her, not speaking.
“Oh my God,” Bonnie whispered to herself, panic flooding her body. This was a terrible idea, she knew that for absolute certain now. She needed to leave. Immediately.
Bonnie turned swiftly. Just as swift, Klaus’s hand caught her wrist. He turned her back to face him, took two steps forward, and kissed her.
Her shock lasted the space of a single breath before she kissed him back.
When they broke apart, she was breathing heavily, dizzy, her head spinning, still trying to figure out what the hell was going on. Klaus’s thumb pulled her bottom lip down and she remembered. She was kissing him.
She was kissing him.
“You need to go,” he whispered to her, stealing another kiss right after the last word left his lips.
“No,” she whispered back, always one to deny him. The fondness in his eyes couldn’t be hidden.
“Then we don’t speak of this tomorrow.”
“Fine by me.”
She hardly wanted to remember her confession anyway. Besides, there were much more enticing things to put her focus towards.
Klaus picked her up, reconnecting their lips as he sped them both off into the house.
Though it was not how Bonnie expected the night to go, she was content to live in the moment for once. Every worry could wait until tomorrow.
Tonight, she had him.
