Why did you forsake me — Hey ho Folks :D

A new artwork for the week (hooray) and it’s a traditional piece ☺️! Around a month ago, I draw a flowery dragon portrait with forget-me-nots and hyacinths . I loved the vibe of this artwork so much, that I decided to do a corresponding piece. And voilà — here is :3.

I decided to do a western dragon this time and I chose black dahlias and orange lilies for the flowers. Because this dragon looks for ferocious, angry and heartbroken, I decided to go with a contrasting color palette. Which means the dragon itself is dark, with the red and gold accent give it more a wild and intense look. In the second slide, I put them together in one Photo and I must say, they look gorgeous together. To me, it feels like, they were together once, but get somehow falling apart.

Well I had really fun and maybe I will start a small series with them :D We will see…

Also do you think, that the black dragon is a girl. Well I think „she“ is ;D.

She is shadow and silk, the whisper of a secret never told. Cloaked in deep purples and midnight blues, she moves between knowing and unknown—a riddle waiting to be solved.

6. Hope – “The Light That Rises”

Her golden eyes glow with promise, her presence like the first rays of sunlight after a long night. Draped in luminous yellows and warm pastels, she is possibility, the dream not yet realized.

7. Melancholy – “The Beautiful Ache”

She holds sorrow like an old love letter, her expression a poem of longing. Hazy blues and gentle grays swirl around her, raindrops painting the story of what was and what could have been.

8. Rebellion – “The Untamed”

Her presence is a revolution—wild curls streaked with fire, dark eyes daring the world to challenge her. She wears crimson and black, her voice sharp as steel. She is the unbreakable, the storm that refuses to be silenced.

9. Euphoria – “The Dance of Life”

Joy explodes from her form, vibrant pinks, oranges, and electric yellows radiating outward. Her laughter is movement, her body caught mid-dance—she is celebration, unbound, untamed, free.
