The Bob Mackie Circus Barbie was a 2010 Gold Label release created by fashion designer Bob Mackie - I'm sure you have seen his name many times on my Barbie lore posts, as he has created some incredible collectors edition Barbies over the years.

Aside from the fact that Circus Barbie is an incredible design, part ringmaster and part aerialist, she is also the only Barbie to have her particular body design.

There are a number of different types of Barbie bodies, with different dimensions and articulation points. This famously made the Queen Elizabeth II doll highly sought after - because she was the first Barbie ever released with a fully articulated petite body.

Circus Barbie definitely stands out and I have to say I am wildly unsurprised that I couldn't find any of her on the secondary market to price check.

Empress Bride Barbie was a Bob Mackie collectors edition Barbie from 1992.

She was the fifth Bob Mackie exclusive, and takes the idea of bridal fashion to the next level.

Her dress and headpiece contained substantial beadwork and embroidered detail. It is really no wonder she fetches such a high price. Barbie has been released in many wedding dresses, but this one stands out.

I would personally consider her only potential rival in bridal fashion to be the Reem Acra Bride from 2007.

She is not quite as elaborate, but what she lacks in detail she makes up for in beautiful elegance.
