A not-so-in-depth look at the NFL divisions

A not-so-in-depth look at the NFL divisions…
It’s almost September; The air is thick with the aroma of sizzling brats and the sound of beer cans cracking open. You slip on your lucky jersey, the one with the ketchup stain from last year's nail-biter, and head out to meet your buddies for the season opener. This, my friends, is the magic of NFL kickoff.
As I dive headfirst into the 2024 season, let's journey through the NFL's eight divisions. Every team has a story from the titans of the gridiron to the underdogs nipping at their heels. So, grab your foam finger and settle in; we're about to break down the upcoming season in all its glory, heartbreak, and inevitable chaos.
AFC North: Where Legends Are Forged
If the AFC North were a person, it'd be that grizzled old-timer at the bar who's seen it all and has the scars to prove it. This division isn't just competitive; it's downright brutal.
Last year, all four teams finished with winning records – a feat unseen since bell-bottoms were unironically cool (that's 1970, for you youngsters). HBO's "Hard Knocks: In Season" couldn't resist the siren call of this division's drama. I mean, who could?
Let's start with the Baltimore Ravens, last year's AFC top seed. They've lost more defensive coaches than most teams have in total. But in Baltimore, that's Tuesday. John Harbaugh probably woke up, saw the exodus, shrugged, and went back to his coffee. That's just how they roll.
Then there's Cleveland. Ah, Cleveland. The Browns are all-in on Deshaun Watson like a gambler doubling down on a hard 16. Will 2024 be the year this high-stakes bet pays off, or will Browns fans be left drowning their sorrows in Great Lakes beer... again?
Don't forget Cincinnati. They're banking on a healthy Joe Burrow like he's the second coming of Joe Montana. If his throwing arm is as golden as his hair, the Bengals might just remind everyone why they were Super Bowl darlings not so long ago.
And Pittsburgh? Mike Tomlin's been there so long that he probably has his own parking spot at Heinz Field. Now he's taking on the Russell Wilson reclamation project. It's like watching a master chef try to turn a McDonald's burger into filet mignon. Can he pull it off? In this division, anything's possible.
Buckle up, folks. This 18-week slugfest is going to leave us all black and blue – and loving every minute of it.
NFC North: The Tides of Change
Remember when the NFC North was as predictable as a Wisconsin cheese curd tasting delicious? Those days are as gone as Brett Favre's Packers jersey.
The Detroit Lions, long the NFL's favorite punching bag, have suddenly grown teeth. Their journey from "lovable losers" to "holy cow, they might actually win something" feels like it was ripped straight from a Disney sports movie. The real question is: can Dan Campbell's knee-biting, coffee-chugging energy translate into sustained success, or will the Lions pull a Detroit and... well, Lion?
But don't write off the Packers just yet. Jordan Love spent three years marinating on the bench behind Aaron Rodgers. Now he's serving up wins like a short-order cook on a Sunday morning rush. This youth movement in Green Bay has Cheeseheads dreaming of another decade of dominance. It's as exciting as it is terrifying for the rest of the division.
Chicago Bears fans, I see you. I know you've been hurt before. But Caleb Williams might just be the real deal. He could be the franchise quarterback you've been waiting for since. Well, has Chicago ever had a truly great quarterback? This could be the year the Monsters of the Midway finally have some teeth on offense.
And the Vikings? They're in quarterback purgatory faster than you can say "J.J. McCarthy's meniscus." But hey, in the NFL, today's backup is tomorrow's MVP. Just ask Kurt Warner. Or Tom Brady. Or... you get the point.
AFC East: The King Is Dead, Long Live... Who, Exactly?
Pour one out for the New England Patriots dynasty, folks. We spent two decades penciling them in as division champs, and now the only sure bet is that they won't win it. It's like watching your high school bully become the guy who can't open pickle jars.
Now we've got a three-way dance between the Jets, Dolphins, and Bills that's wilder than a Buffalo tailgate party.
The Jets are the media darlings with a healthy Aaron Rodgers. But let's be real – this is a franchise so cursed, they could probably find a way to lose a bye week. If there's a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, the Jets will find it. It's their superpower.
Miami's been flirting with success like a commitment-phobe on Tinder. Back-to-back playoff appearances are nice, but in the land Don Shula built, "almost" is just a fancy word for "not good enough." This could be the year they finally swipe right on a division title... or get left on read again.
And then there's Buffalo. They've shed more big names than a Hollywood rehab center, but counting out a team led by Josh Allen feels like betting against gravity. The man could probably throw a football over them mountains, as Uncle Rico would say.
This division is a powder keg of potential, ready to explode. Just don't stand too close when it does.
NFC East: America's (Drama) Team(s)
If the NFC East were a TV show, it'd be a soap opera with occasional football scenes. It's got more drama than a Real Housewives reunion and just as many unexpected twists.
The Eagles took a nosedive last season faster than a Philly fan's mood after a loss. But they seem poised for a comeback. In Philly, hope springs eternal... until about Week 3.
Meanwhile, in Dallas, Jerry Jones has put everyone on notice. The Cowboys are under more pressure than a submarine at the bottom of the ocean. It's "win now or... win now" in Big D.
The Giants are hoping Daniel Jones can justify his contract like I justify eating an entire pizza by myself – with a lot of mental gymnastics and a dash of blind optimism.
And then there's Washington, the wild card with a new QB (Jayden Daniels) and a new sheriff in town (Dan Quinn). They're like that mystery flavor of potato chip – could be delicious, could be disaster.
On paper, it's a two-horse race. But in the NFC East, paper is about as useful as a screen door on a submarine.
AFC South: Revenge of the Nerds, NFL Edition
Remember when we all thought the AFC South would be the NFL's punching bag in 2023? The Houston Texans looked at that prediction, said "Hold my beer," and proceeded to shock the world harder than a wet finger in an electrical socket.
DeMeco Ryans, C.J. Stroud, and company didn't just win the division; they made a statement in the playoffs louder than a Texan saying "y'all." Now, with additions like Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon, Houston looks ready to build an empire faster than you can say "Remember the Alamo."
But don't count out the Jaguars. They're surely still stinging from last year's late-season collapse harder than a sunburn on a Florida beach. Trevor Lawrence and crew are out to prove that last year was the fluke, not the year before.
The Colts proved they could compete even without a star quarterback, which, in the modern NFL, is like trying to win a drag race in a golf cart. Impressive, if nothing else.
And Tennessee? New coach Brian Callahan might be the breath of fresh air they needed. Or he might be the air freshener trying to cover up last year's stink. Only time will tell.
NFC West: The 49ers and Their Supporting Cast
The 49ers have ruled this division with an iron fist for two years. They're like that one kid in school who's good at everything – you want to hate them, but damn, they make it look easy.
They're favorites to three-peat, but the rest of the division isn't exactly rolling over. The Rams bounced back last year like a rubber ball dropped from the top of the Hollywood sign. They've only gotten stronger, which should terrify everyone not wearing red and gold.
Seattle's hoping defensive guru Mike Macdonald can work more magic than Houdini. If he can make their defense disappear and reappear as a top unit, the Seahawks might just swoop in for the upset.
And don't sleep on Arizona. Kyler Murray's back, hopefully with a renewed focus on the playbook instead of Call of Duty. Add in explosive rookie Marvin Harrison Jr., and suddenly, the Cardinals look less like sacrificial birds and more like phoenixes rising from the ashes.
It might be San Francisco's division to lose, but don't be shocked if this becomes the most entertaining division in football. It's like a sitcom where the straight man is surrounded by chaos – and I'm here for it.
AFC West: Living in the Chiefs' Shadow
When you share a division with the Chiefs, life isn't just hard – it's like trying to run a marathon while carrying Patrick Mahomes on your back. Just ask the Chargers, Raiders, and Broncos how that feels.
Kansas City might not have cruised to the playoffs last year, but betting against them feels like playing Russian roulette with five loaded chambers. At this point, the Chiefs don't rebuild; they reload.
But here's the million-dollar question: can anyone challenge the ketchup king's throne?
Sean Payton's cooking something in Denver, and it smells a lot like hope... or maybe that's just the altitude. Antonio Pierce brings fresh energy to Las Vegas, turning the Raiders from a punchline into a potential contender.
And the Chargers? They've got Jim Harbaugh now. If anyone can exorcise the Chargers' demons, it's the khaki-wearing, milk-chugging quarterback whisperer himself.
The AFC West might not be the powerhouse it was hyped to be a couple of years ago, but calling it boring would be like calling Chiefs fans "kind of into football." That's a massive understatement.
NFC South: The Island of Misfit Teams
If you're looking for parity, you've come to the wrong place. The NFC South has become a testament to mediocrity, the participation trophy of NFL divisions.
Tampa Bay won the division in 2023 with a 9-8 record. That's like being the tallest kid in kindergarten – sure, you're at the top, but the competition isn't exactly fierce. And this was an improvement over their 8-9 division-winning record in 2022. At this rate, they might break .500 by 2025!
But don't despair, NFC South fans. There's hope on the horizon, and it's wearing red and black.
Atlanta's gone on a spending spree that would make a lottery winner blush. They've brought in Kirk Cousins, Matthew Judon, and Justin Simmons. It's like they're playing real-life Madden with the salary cap turned off.
New Orleans is rebooting its offense like a 90s sitcom getting a gritty modern remake. Will it work? Who knows, but it'll be fun to watch.
And Carolina... oh, Carolina. They've got nowhere to go but up under new coach Dave Canales. When your previous season is a dumpster fire, even a tire fire looks like progress.
It's a division of second chances and redemption stories. Who doesn't love a good comeback tale? Well, maybe fans of the other 28 teams, but who's counting?
In Conclusion: Buckle Up, Buttercup
From the gladiatorial arena of the AFC North to the redemption-seeking NFC South, the 2024 NFL season promises more twists and turns than a pretzel factory. We're in for a rollercoaster of emotions, breakout performances, and upsets so shocking they'll make your grandfather's dentures fall out.
Whether you're a die-hard fan who paints your face every Sunday or a casual observer who just likes to watch large men run into each other, there's a storyline here for everyone.
So grab your jersey (yes, even you, Jets fans), fire up the grill, and settle in. The next five months are going to be one hell of a ride. After all, in the NFL, the only certainty is uncertainty – and that's precisely why we can't look away.

BELIEVE in the HYPE: CHILL out and ground yourself already! While many of us are wondering about the efficacy of CBD and whether its benefits truly apply to our individual needs, adding a ‘drop’ of wellness (TONIC) into your daily selfcare routine has never been so easy.
While this is a hot conversation with just about everyone lately, it can be confusing what to try and for what purpose. From the local pop-up to the corner deli to the alternative health facility carrying the range of products, the explanation of the products, their uses, strengths, and their origins can be even more confusing… even after the explanation. We recently took a close look at Tricolla farms – a hemp farm located in Upstate New York at their TONIC POP-UP locally in NYC.
TONIC is a project by Tricolla Farms – a hemp farm located in Upstate New York owned by Brittany and Eric Carbone. They, like many others, were interested in the therapeutic effects of CBD, but were dissatisfied with the bunk quality of most CBD products on the market. They decided to grow their own – founding Tonic CBD in an effort to bring transparency and quality to the CBD game. A small family operation, with passionate ownership thats grows and knows their plants. This isn’t reggie and they have receipts – they openly host lab reports of their plants on their website, and even feature Blue Bite NFC Authentication – QR codes on their boxes that will tell you detailed information on what plant went into your exact tincture, bringing unprecedented levels of quality assurance to their products. They have a variety of high quality hemp products, but the standouts to us here at FDM are the tinctures – specifically “The O.G.” and “Grounded” blends.
from the editor: I was looking for relief from my migraines after an acccident, as well as keeping the mood chill, grounded and of course, to sleep better. One of the big promises of CBD is reducing inflammation and stress, which seems to be every single person’s problem. What I found out at the TONIC pop-up is that I can add a few drops of CBD oil in my drink (even soda), take it orally, or put it right on my skin if I have a wound. – brigitte segura
At the local pop-up event, I was suffering from the seasonal cold and cough and was coughing during the presentation. I was offered a drink and tried a few drops CBD oil added…. Two drinks later, my sinuses were clear, I could breathe, and my voice didn’t sound so nasal. Effective? for me, yes, I could breathe without the symptomatic cold interruptions naturally for a few hours. Although it’s not my go to for everything, it’s pretty close and the cute package is indeed in my handbag. A couple of faves from this brand:
The O.G. blend is the first tincture blend founder Brittany Carbone created and to this day, she takes it daily- a combination of their signature CBD extract and ashwagandha, a reknowned adaptogen, and a potent combination that combats stress and restores mental clarity, effective for daily use and a potential staple in any homeopathic medicine regimen.
The GROUNDED blend is a multitude tincture a “whole flower” extract that emphasizes the minor terpenes and cannabinoids, imbuing a noticeably earthier taste reflective of hemps deep flavor profile. “Grounded” isn’t overpowering in flavor and easily added to a drink to help mellow out, but also has potent anti-inflammatory properties. We tested it for ourselves and have seen visible reduction in inflammation – we can confirm this is some good shiznit.
The answer is clear: the natural stress relieving remedy is in reducing inflamation and stress… and that applies to every one of us. You can find these products and more, including other tincture blends, pre-rolls, and CBD dog treats at tonicvibes.com.

The Bronze Medal Game II
Super Bowl VI:
Baltimore Colts vs San Francisco 49ers
What Changes?: Baltimore couldn’t score off a drug dealer. The Miami Dolphins are simply too much for them to handle. Have the Dolphins lose the thriller versus Kansas City. Hall of Fame kicker Jan Stenerud missed a potential game-winning 32-yard field goal near the end of regulation. Simply have his attempt sail through the uprights and send the Chiefs to Memorial Stadium in Baltimore to take on ole Johnny U and the boys in blue. Baltimore is victorious winning a 23-12 spirited battled against Len Dawson’s Chiefs.
For San Francisco, Dallas once again acts as the roadblock to a potential Super Bowl. Dallas held John Brodie and his offense to just three-points picking him off thrice. What needs to change for San Francisco is Brodie needs to play better and kicker Bruce Gossett has to make his 47-yard field goal, which he missed.
Backdrop: Storming back after coming oh so close the year before the 49ers lead by star veteran quarterback John Brodie looked to clinch his first world title of his illustrious career to add an exclamation to what’s already been a rip-roaring career for him. Last year the Niners had just one 1,000 yard rusher in Ken Willard. This year, Vic Washington joins Willard as the only players to eclipse the 1,000 yards from scrimmage mark. With All-Pros Bruce Taylor and Jimmy Johnson anchoring the red and gold’s defense, Dick Nolan’s squad ranks third in fewest points allowed in the NFC (15.4). The 49ers are a solid 9-5 team well experienced and ready to capture the brass ring that’s alluded them for so many years.
Meanwhile, the Colts are an aging bunch. Lead by Johnny Unitas the old man’s saw better days. His arm strength a mere shell of itself. Playing in just five games, tossing a lowly 3 touchdowns, much of Baltimore’s quarterbacking was done by 37-year-old former MVP Earl Morrall. While just one year younger than Unitas, Morrall did add some energy to a molasses offense. Winning 7 of the 9 games he starts throwing for over 1,200 yards. Despite all of this the Colts scored the third most points of any team in the AFC. Lead by the tremendous backfield of Norm Bulaich and veteran Tom Matte. Bulaich made second team All-Pro accumulating ten touchdowns, 8 of those coming from the ground.
Outside of the demons haunting the likes of Matte, Morrall, and Bubba Smith, the Colts don’t have much to play for besides settling old grudges. Baltimore’s won 3 NFL Championships predating the AFL-NFL merger. Questions linger whether coach Don McCafferty should bite the bullet and tell Unitas he’s giving the reins to Morrall. Despite the 20-3 trouncing of the Cleveland Browns, Unitas struggled to throw for 143 yards. McCafferty ultimately decides this is Unitas’ team and they’ll go as far as he’ll take them.
The 49ers play a class “three-yards and a cloud of dust” offense. Brodie tossing interception after interception. His offensive line couldn’t let his ailing legs get set. Brodie ultimately loss his position to young up and comer Steve Spurrier who fares no better. San Francisco manages one measly score when fullback Willard fights his way through Baltimore’s defensive line for six.
Baltimore drove the ball with a little more ease. Unitas throws for 185 yards, though his two interceptions seemed troublesome the 49ers are unable to score. Baltimore’s drives stalled once passing San Francisco’s 20-yard line kicker Jim O’Brien nails all four of his kicks to give them 12 points. All they’ll need to secure the ugliest of victories. O’Brien is rewarded the game’s MVP for his efforts. The first kicker to do so.
For the 49ers, it’s the end of a promising era. Theyd never come closer to winning a world title and fall to the NFL’s cellar while they’ll rivals continue their unparalleled success. Baltimore, meanwhile, succumbs to age and exits stage left of contention. The ghost of Joe Namath looms large despite their apparent redemption. Broken hearts do not heal easily.

Radashkevich told Russian outlet Amur.Info[2] that he began experiencing minor ankle pain while training about two weeks before the competition but did not think it would prove to be an issue.
"I thought that it was just pulled, so I did not pay attention," he said. "I just had painkillers, trained, prepared. I was also advised it would pass by itself, heal."
Unfortunately, the young athlete believes the horrible injury will likely put an end to his powerlifting career.
“I can hardly return to this sport following such an injury," he told Amur[3]. "I had achieved a lot but I will have to quit my hopes and ambitions as rehabilitation will approximately take six months."

The sting of it all...
If you are anything like me, you are probably still licking your wounds after Sunday’s tough Divisional Round loss at AT&T Stadium. If I have to hear Stephen A. Smith proclaim “He’s a bad man” one more time I think I might hurl. Sunday’s loss to Green Bay and more particularly “The Bad Man himself” Aaron Rodgers is going to sting for quite a while. The 2014 playoff loss hurt for all of the obvious reasons and I still do not understand how it was not a catch. However, this season’s loss hurts for a whole new set of reasons. Not only did the Cowboys lose, but we may have also witnessed Tony Romo wearing a Cowboys jersey for the very last time. For that, this loss cuts far deeper for me.
Two years later and the same issues plagued the Dallas Cowboys. The team couldn’t get any pressure on Rodgers as he sat back like Dr. Sean McNamara in an Episode of Nip/Tuck and surgically took apart the Cowboys secondary. In the earlier season matchup, Rodgers did not have Ty Montgomery running the ball with the efficiency he showed in the post season. Montgomery in my mind was the unsung hero of the game for Green Bay because of his early ability to gash the Cowboys for large chunks. Those large early runs helped putt Sean Lee and Anthony Hitchens on their toes and forced them to bite first on the run. Rodgers was able to sit back and use play action to buy a solid 2-3 extra seconds of time, giving him 6 or more seconds on just about every drop back. I hate to say it, but even Ryan Leaf could have success with that much time. How in the world did Rodgers even make that throw rolling left? His playmaking ability is absolutely ridiculous.
I’m probably about the biggest Tony Romo fan you will ever meet. We can all sit back and wonder what if. I will just go ahead and say it as a homer, but I believe Romo wins that game on Sunday. Yes, I said it. Just as I say that, it surely does not mean that I believe this loss was Dak’s fault. Dak showed poise and great resolve leading the come back and giving the Cowboys a chance at overtime. However, early on Tony would have recognized just how important every drive was against an Aaron Rodgers led team. Tony would have seen the importance of stretching the field and making big plays when they presented themselves and that comes with ability, confidence and most importantly experience. I firmly believe Dak will look back over game tape and see some first half drives where check downs were not totally necessary and that letting out his inner gunslinger is not always a bad thing. It is surely not his fault this game was lost, but I do believe he will recognize some plays left on the table that could have changed the face of the game drastically.
Rod Marinelli did a great job all year with the Cowboys defense. In fact, he has done a great job every season as the Cowboys Defensive Coordinator. He has taken lesser talent and other team’s castaway practice squad talent and turned one of the league’s worst defenses into a defense that competes. The defense still does not have the talent to dominate, but they still fought each and every game. Facing the savvy Aaron Rodgers has to truly be a coordinators nightmare. The inability once again to get edge pressure proved to be costly. Bringing all out blitzes exposes the secondary in one-on-one matchups and if that pressure never arrives, Rodgers sits back and destroys you. I believe Marinelli did all he could with what he had personnel wise. I did personally call for him to switch to the 3-2-6 scheme that he used against the Lions. I felt like that change might be enough to cause some issues for Rodgers. Marinelli finally went to it a bit in the second half and was able to get some stops. I look for the offseason focus of the Cowboys to be finding Edge Rushers in this draft. With Eli Manning, Kirk Cousins and a young gunslinger in Carson Wentz, the Cowboys will need a pass rush if they want to stay on top of the NFC East.
Most off-seasons, Cowboy fans spend time looking at Free Agents and clamor at what could be. For the first time in many years, I believe it is time we start taking care of own. It is time to start locking down players we have developed and keep them from heading elsewhere. Guys like Barry Church, Ronald Leary, Terrell McClain, David Irving and Terrence Williams will all hopefully be resigned. It is imperative that the Cowboys keep some of these vital pieces to the puzzle.
The 2016 season is over. It does suck. Dak Prescott said it best at his closing interview – “I mean, it’s sinking in. It sucks. It stinks. But I mean it was fun, it was a great year. Great teammates, great coaches. The reality of it though is we all won’t be back together. That’s what team meeting was all about. We know it’s the business of this league. It’s part of it. But yeah, it sucks.”. That is the reality of it. We are now on day 3 of the 2017 season. Guys are Free Agents. The 2017 Dallas Cowboys team will likely look much different than the 2016 edition. Each new season also presents its own challenges, so you can never start back off where you left off the previous season.
youtube
Right now as a fan, I plan to sit back and reflect on a great year. I will not call this season a failure, but it is far from the success anybody that bleeds blue and silver would ever accept. If it was Tony’s last ride in Dallas, then I would like to thank him for the memories. Tony made us all believe again that no matter what the odds were, his team always had a chance...
youtube
I will be writing a weekly column on everything Cowboys up until the Draft in April. So each week look for a new column addressing this team and the steps moving forward to achieve greatness. Also look for draft analysis and scouting reports on players the Cowboys might be looking at in the upcoming NFL Draft. If you’d like to reach me you can do so at [email protected]

Unboxing
“Ten Years of Tribute” extra-large carton (media edition, non-retail packaging). From this detail, we can see that Redmi has become the orthodox inheritor of Xiaomi mobile phones that insisted on the ultimate cost-effectiveness.
The first generation of Xiaomi mobile phones-“The undead Android is a good toy Xiaomi mobile phone review ”
Xiaomi has specially reserved and bound the ” Evaluation of a Good Toy Xiaomi Mobile Phone ” written by us nine years ago. Looking at the work written by Teacher Yonghui back then, it is still in the era of Android 2.3, with a simple and original interface, which has a sense of age.
Redmi K30 Extreme Edition Design & Appearance

The Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is still a rare 5G flagship with a true full screen.
The quality of this screen is quite good, a 6.67-inch pop-up full screen, a resolution of 2400 x 1080 FHD+, a peak brightness of 1200 nit, and a contrast ratio of 5000000:1. The regret of the high screen refresh that was left on the Redmi K30 Pro series has been made up-upgrade the 120Hz refresh rate + 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The breathing light was originally a standard configuration of mobile phones, but the structure of flagship phones has become more and more complicated, and various manufacturers have canceled it by default. The Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition follows the pop-up + breathing light design of the K20 series. Different notification scenes display different color lighting effects, such as charging blue lighting effects and incoming green lighting effects to achieve a multi-dimensional reminder effect.
The Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is available in three colors: Muyue White, Extreme Night Black, and Mint Green. What we got is Mu Yue White. At the bottom are the USB-C interface and SIM card slot.
It should be noted that, unlike the Redmi K30 Pro, the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition eliminates the 3.5 mm headphone jack, but retains the infrared remote control and NFC.
Redmi K30 Extreme Edition Performance
Many people are chanting “MTK YES” this year, and MediaTek has indeed handed over a very eye-catching report card: Previously, the latest Digitimes research report showed that in the second quarter of this year, China’s smartphone AP (application processing) market, MediaTek ranked first with 38.3%, surpassing Qualcomm’s 37.8%. In the not-too-short days, the proportion of MediaTek in domestic mobile phones is believed to be higher and higher.
However, from commercially available models, the main force of Fage may be more focused on the high-end MediaTek Dimensity 800 series. The flagship Dimensity 1000+ was previously equipped with only one model. Now the Redmi K30 Supreme Commemoration The addition of the version is undoubtedly another boost.
7nm process technology
In 2019 and even now in 2020, most of the flagship and sub-flagship SoCs use the 7nm process. However, when we delve into the processes of various SoCs, we will find that there seem to be some differences in the 7nm of different products.
For example, TSMC’s N7 (N7FF) is applied to Snapdragon 855, Kirin 990, and Apple A12; TSMC’s N7P is applied to Snapdragon 865, Apple A13, and Dimensity 1000L; TSMC’s N7+ is applied to Kirin 990 5G; Samsung’s 7LPP is applied to Exynos 9825, Snapdragon 765G.
Among them, TSMC began mass production of the 7nm process in 2018. The N7 (or N7FF) just mentioned is the first batch of TSMC 7nm solutions, and DUV is the first generation solution. In 2019, TSMC launched the N7P, which is the second-generation 7nm, which is an improved version of the first-generation N7 solution. It still uses DUV and the same design guidelines.
N7+ is different from N7P. It starts to use EUV extreme ultraviolet lithography. According to TSMC, the overall performance will be better than N7. It is currently unclear which solution was adopted for the Dimensity 1000+ 7nm process. From the perspective of the Dimensity 1000L using TSMC’s N7P, the Dimensity 1000+ must be the same.
CPU
Dimensity 1000+ directly integrates four Cortex-A77 large cores and four Cortex-A55 small cores, with frequencies of 2.6GHz and 2.0GHz respectively. The performance of A77 is 20% higher than that of A76. A76 is a very successful core architecture launched by ARM. The combination with the 7nm TSMC process brings a huge performance and efficiency leap, such as the Snapdragon 855.
Cortex-A77 is the direct successor of A76. The new core is largely consistent with the previous generation products. While maintaining the excellent energy efficiency of the A76 architecture and a smaller core area, it further improves performance. The A77 architecture still uses the ARMv8.2 CPU core and is intended to be paired with the Cortex-A55 small core. Besides, compared with the A76, the basic configuration of the A77 has not changed. You can still see the 64KB L1 instruction and L1 cache, and the 256 or 512KB L2 cache.
In general, the improvement of A77 over A76 is not as large as that of A76 over A75. It is still a continuation of high-performance and energy-efficient products (which regarded as an improved version of A76).
For the identity of the evaluation machine, GeekBench has been blocked from the Internet access, so here we will refer to the performance level of Dimensity 1000+ CPU from the running score data collected by Fast Technology in the past.
According to the measurement standard of Geekbench 5, the performance of Dimensity 1000+ single-core is between Snapdragon 765G and Snapdragon 865, 23% more than Snapdragon 765G and only 14% lower than Snapdragon 865. In terms of multi-core, there is a clear distinction between mid-range cores and flagship cores. Snapdragon 765G falls behind Dimensity 1000+ with a gap of 33%, while Dimensity 1000+ and Snapdragon 865 are only 12% behind.
In other words, according to the evaluation system of Geekbench 5, whether it is a single score that reflects absolute performance or a multi-core test that tests scheduling coordination, Dimensity 1000+ is the same as the Snapdragon 865 and belongs to the flagship camp. The mid-to-high-end Snapdragon 765G has opened a huge gap.
If we can remove the blocking of network permissions in the future, we will test the performance of Geekbench 5 of the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition.
GPU
On the GPU side, Dimensity 1000+ integrates nine Mali-G77 cores, which improves performance by up to 40% compared to G76, and supports 90-frame chicken games and 120-frame racing games. Mali-G77 GPU adopts a new architecture Valhall. According to ARM’s official statement, Mali-G77 has a 30% increase in performance, a 30% increase in performance, and a 60% increase in machine learning performance over the previous generation.
Under the same process and the same performance, G77 continues to achieve 30% year-on-year energy efficiency improvement, and saves 50% power consumption compared with Mali-G72, which means that the final performance of Mali-G77 is close to the GPU performance of Apple A12, surpassing Qualcomm Adreno 640. In the current first echelon of mobile GPU.
For the same reason, GFXBench has also been blocked from network access and cannot run, so here we will refer to the performance level of Dimensity 1000+ GPU based on the benchmark data collected by Kuaidi Technology in the past.
Among the above test sub-items, the best performance of GPU graphics computing power is Manhattan (Manhattan), Tyrannosaurus (T-Rex), and Aztec ruins test scenes. The Tyrannosaurus rex test is biased towards GPU texture and fills rate throughput, and Manhattan is the core heavy task of the shader.
From the histogram compiled by Fast Technology, it is not difficult to find that the performance of Dimensity 1000+ GPU is tightly biting the Snapdragon 865, which is known for its graphics capabilities. The smallest gap between the two is only 5% and at most only 12%.
In terms of GFXBench’s overall GPU graphics computing performance test results, Dimensity 1000+ is extremely close to the Snapdragon 865 (a slight gap of 5% to 12%).
AnTuTu running scores
The same reason for the confidentiality of the evaluation machine information is still the same. AnTuTu has been disabled from Internet access to the running score software. Therefore, the running scores here are only for initial reference. The final score is recommended to be based on the results after the listing.
According to AnTuTu’s evaluation system, the performance level of the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is roughly between the Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 855 models.
Androbench test
About Androbench: AndroBench is a benchmark application that can measure the 4K random storage and storage performance of Android devices, including internal or external storage. Typical dual-channel UFS 2.1 flash memory speed
4. “Fage” exclusive gameplay: 5G+5G dual card dual standby
MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ is a 5G single chip that supports dual-carrier aggregation, which can aggregate two 100MHz carriers to obtain 200MHz bandwidth. It is worth mentioning that China Unicom and China Telecom have already jointly built and shared the 3.5GHz 200MHz 5G frequency band across the country, that is, 3400MHz-3600MHz. Dimensity 1000+ dual-carrier aggregation technology can just be used.
It supports NSA/SA dual-mode, TDD/FDD dual-standard, naturally, it also supports 5G+5G dual card dual standby, and supports any combination of NSA+SA, SA+SA, and can experience different 5G networks at the same time, of course, t also supports 4G+5G dual card dual standby.
Thanks to Dimensity 1000+’s 5G+5G dual-SIM dual-standby feature blessing, Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition has become a 5G mobile phone that supports 5G+5G dual-sim dual-standby, which is different from Redmi K30 and Redmi One big difference between K30 Pro and other models.
That is to say, in the 5G network environment, whether it is China Mobile, China Unicom, or telecommunications users, they can receive 5G signals from different operators at the same time, realize dual-card 5G standby, and switch to better 5G networks at any time.
At the same time, the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition also adds support for more 5G frequency bands such as n79 based on the regular 5G frequency band, to achieve full support for n1/n3/n41/n78/n79 (n1, n3 need to be released by the operator through software Upgrade support).
However, the 5G network construction of the three major operators is still steadily advancing. When the actual network speed is measured, because the network stability of different regions, different times, and different operators may be different, the results of the network speed measurement may be somewhat different from what you experience.
Battery
Batteries have always been an important aspect of Redmi’s uncompromising even during the Redmi era, and large batteries have almost become a brand label.
Compared with the Redmi K30 Pro, the battery of the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition has little change. It is equipped with a 4500 mAh battery, which is slightly smaller than the 4700 mAh K30 Pro, but there is no obvious impact on battery life.
The Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is also equipped with a relatively fast 33W wired fast charge at the same price based on a large battery. Next, let us test the endurance and charging performance of the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition through actual measurements.
The picture quality and frame rate of “Peace Elite” are all set to the highest level it can achieve, and the average discharge current is monitored to be about 740mA. From this, it can be estimated that the Redmi K30 Extreme Edition is at HDR HD + ultra-high frame rate. Under the circumstances, the game life of “Peace Elite” may reach 6 hours.
Under the condition of 70% brightness and 30% volume, connect to Wi-Fi to play 1080P online video. We have monitored that the average discharge current is about 405mA. From this, it can be estimated that the continuous video playback life in this environment can almost reach 11 About hours.
The Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is equipped with a 33W charge pump fast charge, which is faster than the 30W of the Xiaomi 10 in terms of paper parameters. It can recover blood from 15% to 95% in 50 minutes when the screen is turned on.
Cameras
Let’s review the previous Redmi K30 Pro: 64MP Sony IMX686 + 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens (123°) + 5MP telephoto macro lens (AF 3-10cm) + 2MP depth-of-field lens (1.75μm).
This time, the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition is adjusted based on Redmi K30 Pro. When we got the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition, the official did not mention the specific model of each image sensor, so we obtained the specific model of the camera image sensor of our review machine through debugging:
Sony IMX682 64 Megapixel main camera + SK Hynix hi1337 13 Megapixels ultra-wide-angle lens + Samsung S5K5E9 5 million pixel telephoto macro lens + OV02B 2 Megapixel portrait depth of field lens. Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition bug report shows the camera module model.
That is to say, according to the situation of the evaluation machine in our hands, compared with the Redmi K30 Pro, the Redmi K30 Extreme Commemorative Edition has the main camera adjusted from Sony IMX686 to IMX682 (the difference between the two is not big), and the ultra-wide-angle has changed from 123° There is almost no change beyond 119°.
However, it should be noted that the Redmi K30 Extreme Edition on the MediaTek platform has a different imaging color style than the Redmi K30 Pro on the higher communication platform, and the imaging color is relatively richer.

Redmi K30 Extreme Edition Verdict
We are not unfamiliar with the specifications of the Redmi K30 Extreme Edition. Many configurations have been seen on the K30 Pro. The changes are nothing more than customizing Samsung’s 120Hz AMOLED screen, discarding the 3.5mm headphone jack in exchange for dual speakers, and adjusting the SoC to Dimensity 1000. +, the main camera lens is adjusted to IMX682, with a slight weight reduction, the battery is also slightly less.
It does not have as many top technologies as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, but the focus is on the price of “1999”, which is enough to make competitors who are competing for the price/performance ratio all exit. This is the most cost-effective product in the 1999 price range. There is no one. If the budget happens to be in this range, you can buy it directly without any hesitation:
The Redmi K30 Extreme Edition has a 120Hz E3 material Samsung Amoled high refresh screen, this screen is unbeatable at the price of 1999 yuan! Even compared to the more expensive Redmi K30 Pro, there is no “shrink”. The contrast ratio reaches 5000000:1, the maximum brightness is 800 nits, and the peak brightness reaches 1200 nits. It has passed the HDR10+ certification and has a high refresh rate of 120Hz+ The 240Hz touch sampling rate has been further upgraded.
In terms of performance, through the comparison with Snapdragon 865 and Snapdragon 756G shown in the article, we can see that Dimensity 1000+ is a platform that is close to Snapdragon 865, whether it is CPU (the le-core gap is about 14%, more The core gap is 12%), or the GPU (5%-12% gap), which is by no means a mid-range U such as the Snapdragon 765G, which is mostly used by models in the same price range.
It is worth mentioning that, under the blessing of the MediaTek Dimensity platform, the Redmi K30 Extreme Edition even gets the special function of dual 5G standby that its top flagship does not have. Also, the 4500 mAh battery + 33W fast charge makes it have no shortcomings in daily use.
Just like the first generation of Xiaomi phones that opened the “1999” generation of price-performance legends, the Redmi K30 Extreme Edition can be bought with confidence.

Winn-Dixie Coupon Deals: Week of 4/3
Here are the Winn-Dixie coupon deals 4/3 – 4/9. Winn-Dixie has started a new rewards program called SE Grocers Rewards. Earn points when making a qualifying purchase in the store. Points earned can be used to save on groceries or on fuel at participating Shell gas stations. For every 100 points earned, receive either $1.00 off groceries or $0.05 off per gallon off gas. Remember to use a Rewards Card to get sale prices and deals. If you do not have one, get a card free at the customer service desk of any Winn-Dixie store. Also, keep in mind that most Winn-Dixie stores (except Florida, parts of Louisiana, and some coastal Alabama stores) double coupons worth $0.50 or less.

Boost Digital Consumer Engagement Through Channels You Can Trust
Mark Robinton, Director Business Development, and Strategic Innovation, HID Global writes about how secure identity technology is now being deployed in brand loyalty and marketing programs.
Major brands are now turning to the cloud, Internet of Things (IoT) and Near Field Communications (NFC) tags to protect the integrity of digital marketing and create trusted new ways to engage with loyal customers.
Initially deployed to combat counterfeiting, today’s cloud- and IoT-based brand-protection services use trusted tags to authenticate products from the time of production through every step of the distribution process and at the point of consumer sale. Many brands saw the opportunity to take these services beyond anti-counterfeiting to create trusted digital advertising and NFC marketing campaigns, knowing that it is just as important to find new and engaging ways to communicate securely with customers after they make a purchase as it is to protect the brand.
Also Read: Top 5 Technological Innovations That Will Impact the Future of CX
New Type of NFC Tag
Unlike standard NFC static labels and tags or QR codes, trusted tag services combine cryptographically secure NFC technology and a cloud-based authentication platform to add unique and trusted identities to products and objects. The tags are read by NFC-enabled mobile devices through a simple and unclonable tap by an NFC-enabled smartphone, verifying that the items they are attached to or embedded within are not counterfeits.
When used for digital consumer engagement, IoT-based authentication services bring trust to customer conversations. They enable brands to deliver tailored communications to consumers in a trusted and closed environment so they can create more engaging and interactive user experiences.
An example is London-based Skute, which is using this technology to unlock exclusive hyper-personalized marketing experiences for a new wave of fan engagement, enabling consumers to interact with brands in a trusted, privacy-preserving environment. With this type of trusted promotion, brands can give customers secure, authentic and direct access to musical artists, athletes, teams and other brands.
Being able to trust a digital brand experience is particularly important for children’s products. In industries such as gaming, toys and music, parents want the peace of mind that their children can safely engage with the marketing channels they are interested in. IoT-based authentication services using trusted NFC tags create a “ring-fenced” ecosystem that brands can use to deliver high-value experiences in a privacy-preserving, closed environment.
IoT-based authentication services can also be used in customer loyalty programs and for running sweepstakes events. Although NFC tags have been used in these and other types of commercial retail applications for many years, they generally have been pre-encoded with NFC data formats for launching URLs on NFC-enabled smart mobile devices, making it impossible to distinguish between one person tapping a tag at an authorized touch point and another person trying to access the server using a URL refresh or URL sharing. This is particularly problematic for loyalty and sweepstakes campaigns. The ability of IoT-based brand protection services to generate a unique URL for each tap that cannot be copied, cloned or shared ensures that a customer is physically present to receive a loyalty offering or win a prize and has also done it enough times to earn a discount or other loyalty award. The platform provider has the necessary information to decide whether a shared URL should lead to denial of a service, or to simply log the information for statistical purposes.
Combatting Counterfeiting
Of course, counterfeiting continues to be a major issue, so most brands who use trusted tag services to protect consumer engagement in digital marketing channels also use them in their supply chain. They know that when fraudsters create counterfeit products and engage in grey market activities, it can hurt the sales of authentic products and result in a poor customer experience that is damaging to the brand. According to Research and Markets’ Global Brand Counterfeiting Report 2018, global financial losses from online counterfeiting, alone, totaled more than 323 Billion USD in 2017, with luxury goods incurring 30.3 billion USD in losses.
Today’s IoT-based authentication services offer an important difference as compared to past anti-counterfeiting solutions, because they empower both the brand and its customers to work together to fight fraud. Examples include major distilleries in Tasmania, Australia, who are using NFC-based brand protection for its world-class whiskies, gins and other liquor products. During the bottling process, a trusted tag is attached to each bottle’s label. At the time of purchase at the point of sale, customers use a web application on their mobile phones to quickly and easily authenticate the purchase of their premium product.
Other brands who are taking this approach include New York City-based Blue Bite which has launched an authentication suite for major European brands in collaboration with Italy-based Temera, and Toronto-based Authentic Or Not, which is delivering a secure brand authentication experience to major Canadian brands.

The use of trusted tags and authentication services is bringing peace of mind to manufacturers seeking to safeguard their brands as well as consumers who want to verify the authenticity of their purchases. These highly secure and scalable authentication solutions also go beyond adding trust to the global supply chain to open a secure channel for brands to engage directly with consumers. They can deliver new and better experiences in a trusted environment, while gaining greater visibility into consumer expectations and behaviors so they can measure and improve campaign effectiveness.
