hehe, have you missed me?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the theme for today is 90s anime.
i’ve only recently gotten around to watching NGE and Cowboy Bebop and i’ve fallen in love with both, although CB in my opinion is muuuuuch better.
also VHD: Bloodlust technically doesn’t count cause it came out in 2000, but it’s literally my favorite movie of all time, so- it’s an exception <3
here’s your way to the last part:
and if you wish to seek out the beginning:

Soon we'll be able to see it: the home of Carmilla, the Bloody Countess. You've heard of her. For five thousand years her rule of terror lasted, and then, that was that! Your father, the Vampire King, grew angry. He was impatient with her vanity; offended by her bloodlust, her gluttony. He grew so tired that he killed her while she slept, impaling her on a sword, and that was it for her. Except she haunts the place now with phantoms and demons.

Ne t'enfuis pas
Adrian Ţepeş x reader
Summary: You are his first love reincarnated and after 300 years, you finally meet again.
Rating: fluff, hurt, comfort
Warnings: mentions of death, grief, Nocturn season 2 spoilers!!!
Nmed after Kate Bush's Ne T'enfuis Pas. This is heavily inspired in Bram Stoker's Dracula by Coppola and mayyybe Nosferatu by Eggers <3 It's been so long since i've written, i am honestly rusty. Sorry for taking so long with this one.
The water in the pond behind the chateau reflects the light of the crescent pale moonlight above your head. It is the first time in weeks since you could go outside after the sunset without worrying about getting your neck attacked by a servant of the Bloody Countess or a night creature. Small tadpoles swim around, feeding on bugs that have the misfortune of falling in the pond and you watch them idly and with a childlike curiosity. You didn’t want to ruminate at that moment, you wanted to think that everything was going to be fine.
Still, your unquiet mind couldn’t rest. The scene of the tadpole rapidly consuming the bug reminds you of your own thoughts consuming you. The dreams you’ve had before his arrival; a dark castle with infinite stairs, forests that you’ve never explored, and flashes of scenes flooding your mind every time he is near that feel so much more real than a mere dejavú. But how could you ever put this into words?
Smooth steps are heard padding against the grass and you softly gasp when you see the tall, pale man coming to the spot you are sitting on. His amber eyes glow like the ones of a cat in a dark night as he walks in the shadow announcing his not fully human nature.
“They are beheading the last one of the day. Won’t you like to see the show?”
Alucard asks with sarcasm, sitting on the opposite side of the pond in a pompous swish. The city's in ruins, but the people are executioning the aristocrats who stood in the side of the vampires during the attack. You don’t answer his question. In fact, the two of you stay in silence for a while, but now and then you peek through the fountain to see if he is still in there and he is perfectly immobile like a beautiful statue in the garden, except for his flouncy hair tousled by the soft breeze. In one of those moments of curiosity, your gazes meet and it feels intense as a lightning hitting your body, Alucard could see your hair standing on end.
“Although I think they should pay for what they did, I don't see the point of gathering in the town to see bloodshed. I’ve seen enough of this in the last few days.”
You answer in an awkward way and twirl your finger around the water, making the tadpoles hide behind a rock to dismiss the feeling that goes beyond embarrassment. Alucard narrows his eyes, cautiously watching your expression, wondering if approaching you now was the right choice. But how long could he keep this to himself? If there is something Alucard learned during these wandering 300 years is that human life is feeble as a crystal, that he’ll see his pals one by one perish to the fog of time. Leaving it be, ignoring the signals would spare him from the very known feeling of grief. Still, there you are. With another appearance, voice and name, yet eyes are the windows of the soul, they say, and Alucard lived enough to know that this might be true. And since yours met during the Eclipse, he knew that calling coming from overseas was not only his duty of destroying Sekhmet’s mummy. He was drawn to your presence like a boat to a lighthouse.
“May i?”
He asks before sitting on the same side as you on the pond, so pale that he seems to emanate his own light and reflect in the pond along with the moon. You nod and he graciously settles himself some palms away not wanting to be invasive, minutely investigating the possibilities and to what paths would they guide him. Your mind is racing with thoughts, so many it could burst. A feeling of urgency that takes you completely and is shared with the man by your side. Gathering forces from an ancient feeling asleep for so too long, you finally speak:
“You have found me… how?”
He hums looking into the pond before answering your question that is so easy to answer yet difficult to put into words when he measures the consequences.
“I felt you calling me.”
You shortly breathe, reminding the nights where that feeling of emptiness would set in as if there was something missing and you would pray for a light, something that could give you a clue of what was the other part of the whole. The dreams that filled your sleep in the following nights left you even more puzzled, but when Alucard arrived, everything was starting to be put in place, for more unbelievable that sounded.
Before you died, you made Alucard promise that he would find someone else. That he wouldn't have his eternity tied to your memory, that he would find other lovers to fulfill his heart and to give him the love he deserved. Your shaking cold hand held his as you collapsed to smallpox in your deathbed and finally the eyes of your mortal body closed forever. He did as promised. Tens of women and men crossed his path across those thirty decades, but no one of them were you. The same emptiness your oblivious, reborn self would experience now, the dhampir would drag along the mists of years; for you, what was an unknown spectrum, for him it was a very palpable feeling that seemed to almost materialize itself.
Your eyes fill up with tears, a rush of emotions suddenly rises as Alucard watches you break down, still hesitant. His slender hand reaches out to touch your shoulder and you shudder; like the sun coming out from the clouds, a myriad of memories start to bloom. Alucard’s eyes are wide open in shock, harm of fear is the last thing he wants to inflict on you. But how could he have been causing it when all you could see in front of your eyes was him and your life together? Piece by piece like a broken porcelain, you see snippets of the past.
You suddenly wrap your arms around his shoulders, a hug so unpredictable and strong that Alucard had to hold onto the bricks of the pond otherwise you would fall directly into it. Once steady, He slowly retributes the hug, face resting on the crook of your neck as you sob tears of unbelievable happiness into his white hair. A small salty droplet roams his cheek too and when he realizes the emotional boy he used to be was here again. Slowly, you pull off from the embrace, drying your tears with the sleeves of your dress and say while cupping his angelical face in your hands, strands of white hair sticking onto his skin. You smile and say before pressing a gentle kiss onto his lips:
“And you came to me… from the sky like an angel.”

(Lady Alcina Dimitrescu x F!Reader) [Lady Dimitrescu comforts Headmaiden!Reader during a stressful breakdown] ~Anxiety attacks/Hurt/Sad themes/Dissociating/If you are sensitive to or gain anxiety/mental breakdowns when connecting with online bad scenarios, please leave, I know they can be upsetting as hell and annoying to deal with. Please don't be afraid to cry if you need to, just promise you won't do it alone <3, love you all :3 ~ ~Little use of Y/N, grammar may be poor, misspellings probably frequant, Reader is over 30 (roughly 36-38), Reader overworks when stressed~ ~SFW~ ~ ~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keeping more then 50 maids in line was hard. Not impossible, especially when you're as stern and strong as yourself. ... At least that's what you try to tell yourself. You love working for The Countess of Castle Dimitrescu after serving for years and years, but occasionally, some days just become a little bit too much. Today just happened to be one of those days.
Currently, you were cleaning windows in The Lady's private chambers, thoughts dancing about in your mind. This week had been full to the brim with bloody messes, incompetent maids and idiot moroaică managing to bust down the diningroom door, however the hell they manage to do it without being sliced to ribbons by The Mistress was anyones guess.
You had somehow managed to slip out of focus for a moment as the screams of what sounded like a male from the dungeon rung through the castle. Considering how long you had worked in Castle Dimitrescu for, the screams of maids and occasional hunters always managed to make you shudder. You didn't think you'd ever get used to it.
Unfortunately, thinking about what the daughters of The Lady were doing to whatever daft minded gentlemen attempting a break in at this time of year was being put through, did nothing for the bubbling anxiety creeping its way up your chest. You knew several of the people who had endured the wrath of Lady Dimitrescu and her daughters, however, you never really had too much of a relationship with any of them. You preferred to keep to yourself whenever you weren't handing out tasks and intructing newer maids of what to do. Still, the screams that echo through the kitchen everyday were less then appealing.
The more your mind wandered the more distracted you became. You went from wiping down windows to staring over the terrace. The longer you stood there thinking about your week, the more frustrated and upset you became. A million questions running wild in your head, What on earth had Ingrid been thinking? Sneaking into Miss Bela's chambers after forgetting to wash the girl's sheets. Why were the moroaică being so disruptive and- and loud?? The moroaică is one thing, the maids another, but also the thought of this repeating process; waking up, more dead maids, more new maids, more girls to train, repeat. It was stressful, and you were getting tired of not taking the breaks you were being offered every so often. But what were you meant to do? Maids don't train themselves, unless The Lady would control her daughters before they kill every last maid in one day.
Of course, you had nothing against The Lady or her daughters, you adored the 3 girls as if they were your own children, but seeing as you had been taking care of all of them for over 15 years, that was probably expected. You read to Daniela often, helped Cassandra keep things organised in the armory, and spoke with Bela whenever she was hovering around the kitchen. You really just loved to spend time with the girls whenever you could. The Lady had taken a liking to you over the years as well. You would normally sit down for tea or wine after a days work to talk with her whenever she was free, and even paused your work whenever you crossed paths in the hallways. However, as of late, you had been distancing yourself, and The Lady definitely noticed.
By now, your hands were trembling, but you snapped out of your thoughts and kept doing your chores anyways, trying to ignore the fact that you were close to spilling frustrated waterfalls. You didn't know what you were specifically upset about so why were you panicking? You can't be the person who helps take care of the entire Castle if you can't place what you're even upset about. Too busy drowning in your thoughts, you hadn't heard the chamber door swinging open, or the clicking of heels that followed.
The groan you let out was muffled as you lifted your apron up to wipe your face of the few tears that had managed to pass the dam currently built behind your eyelids. Your hands covered your face, shielding whatever was outside the window from seeing your annoyance. , , My dear, is something the matter?" The all too familiar voice snapped you out of the current state you were in.
You immediately whipped around, drying your face in the process before mumbling out an apology, not bringing yourself to meet The Countess's gaze.
, , I apololgize M'Lady, I didn't know you'd be done working so early." , , Look at me when you speak, draga." Alcina's voice was stern, but not to the point that it made her sound upset. More, concerned?
Reluctantly, your eyes trailed up her dress until you met Alcina's eyes. Upon noticing your tear streaked cheeks, The Countess's eyebrows furrowed. She took only a step foward before bending down to meet your height, her hand raising to your face as she took your chin in her hold.
, , Now. Tell me what bothers you, darling, your face is red."
Her eyes definitely showed concern, as this had been the first time in a while that she had seen you in such a weak and vulnerable state. At this moment, you would give anything to just spill out all your problems, but you passed that thought off, still wanting to avoid Lady Dimitrescu in any way.
, , It's nothing that should concern you, M'Lady. I don't want to put anything else on your plate." Just as you were about to ask to leave, you were pulled by your wrist towards The Countess.
Your breath hitched in your throat as she led you to the couch next to the window, sitting down before she lifts you up onto her lap. From the angle you were sitting at, you could see yourself in the vanity mirror. Of course, Alcina was right, your face was red.
, , M'Lady—"
, , Draga mea, how long until you stop avoiding me and my daughters?" She too, was looking at your reflection in the vanity mirror.
You opened your mouth to speak, but truthfully, you didn't really know what to say.
, , What's going on in that pretty little head of yours that's made you so distant, hm? Don't think I hadn't noticed it all when I saw you trying to evade Daniela the other day. I hope you don't think that just because your one of my most trusted maids, you have the right to keep things from me. You live in my home, therefore anything that happens with you—" She points to your chest, of which was rising up and down a lot quicker then before. , , -Is my concern whether you think it is or not." The Mistress looked deeply into the reflection of your eyes, as if trying to search for an answer. This woman always had a way with words that confused you just as much as it comforted you. Alcina had been so caring and sweet to you in the past, (thanks to the little amount of mess ups you made compared to the women who had been brought to The Castle along side yourself all those years ago) on your journey here in Castle Dimitrescu, she had managed to break down a lot of your mental shields, the shields that kept prying eyes at bay.
Your foot started to bounce nervously up and down and with a hesitant sigh, you started to rant about all the problems on your mind. How you thought that maybe you weren't working enough, and that you didn't deserve all the time you get to spend with the Dimitrescu's. Tears eventually broke out as you continued to lay all your troubles out in front of you. Alcina just sat and listened to you, rubbing your arm with her thumb and nodding understandably every now and then, not that you could see yourself or her anymore, Alcina had pulled you into her chest when you started to cry. By the time you had stopped rambling, your eyelashes were wet with tears, and your eyes were puffy and red.
, , Sweetheart, if a maid isn't doing their job correctly then you should be telling me, so that I can deal with it." She brings her hand up to your face, brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear. , , As for how much you work, I think the fact that you have been serving this Castle much longer then any other maid could survive here for is proof enough of your worth for me and my daughters. Besides, we don't care what you're worth. Do you enjoy my daughters company?" You nod slowly, leaning into The Countess's hand. , , I enjoy every second of my time with the girls. They're angels, if you wipe off the blood on their faces. I just- I just think that perhaps I dont do enough to earn their—." You're silenced when a leather gloved finger is pressed softly to your lips.
, , You're overthinking. Darling, my girls could very well see you as a second mother, they adore you just as much as I do, and I don't think I see them as happy as they are when you're around them. When you're stuck in a Castle for as long as you can remember, you start to get bored, draga. And don't you dare go forgetting that. You treat my girls as if their human beings, not some psycho witches that hunt and kill for a living. I've seen the way you look at them, you love them, you know you do. And they love you too. Now what makes it so hard to see that?"
A second mother? Well yes you treat them as your own sometimes, but you never wanted to say outloud that you loved them in that way, in case of what The Mistress might think. But now that you're hearing her say it, it all feels like a dream. You would do anything to protect Alcina's daughters. You never had interest in having children, but you always had a maternal instict when you came to know the Dimitrescu daughters.
, , You're stressed, draga mea. I hate seeing you that way." , , I'm- I'm sorry, I just— This week has been so rough, I thought maybe working more would get my mind off of everything—" Alcina grabs your chin, turning you to look at her in the eye.
, , My dear, the last thing you should be doing when you're stressed is working. You should be resting, instead- Not- Cleaning windows, sweeping, cooking- I hate to see you do that to yourself. I've known you too long to treat you as just another maid, just take care of yourself more. Can you please do that for me?"
You begin to cry again, burying your face into her chest once more. You start to mumble out apologies over and over again. Alcina comforts you through your tears, wrapping her arms around your body and drawing shapes on your back as you let out choked sobs and soft whimpers. Eventually, your tears stop flowing and they turn into quiet yawns. Finding amusement in your tired state, she begins to run her fingers through your hair.
, , Very tired now, aren't you..." Her voice was soft and quiet. She began leaning to the right, slowly lowering herself further onto the couch, with you laying on top of her. At this rate, you were too tired to deny her warmth, so you just lay curled up on top of The Mistress, welcoming the sleep that finally stole you away.
, , Someday, draga mea, you'll open your eyes and realize just how much you mean to me."

Checkmate
When Queen Consort Stephen married King Edward of Hawkins, he forswore to never take up a weapon of war ever again. To put his life in the hands of the king and his kingdom.
So he devoted all his time to humanitarian projects. Hospitals for the sick and the disabled, schools for the children, and a flourishing economy.
Once a week, Queen Stephen could be seen working with his new subjects side by side, playing with their children and cooing at their babies.
The kingdom of Hawkins grew to heights that the neighboring kingdom of Upside Down grew jealous of.
Then the invasion began and far too quickly the castle was overrun.
Those left in the castle were forced to bow to King Vecna as he gloated over his easy victory.
He had the guards throw a beaten and bloodied King Edward to force him to bow at his feet.
King Edward looked him in the eyes, defiant to the end. "Does the Queen yet live?"
"Yes," Vecna sneered. "The coward escaped with the women and children."
Hopper, the king's loyal head guard whispered out of the side of his mouth, "He took them through the passage you were to take."
"It's no matter where they have gone," Vecna sneered. "I will find them and bring them back here."
Then King Edward began to laugh. Just threw back his head and began to laugh uproariously.
"Your situation is dire, King Edward," Vecna mocked. "And yet you laugh. You have gone mad in your defeat."
King Edward shook his head as he fought the tears that streamed down his face. "You underestimate Queen Stephen at your peril."
Vecna opened his mouth to mock him further when the first explosion rang out.
King Edward looked to Hopper, who grinned back at him. He turned back to Vecna. "Surrender now and he might let you live."
"Fool!" Vecna snarled. "I hold all the cards here!"
The another explosion ripped through the stale air of the throne room. And another.
The fourth explosion knocked Vecna to the floor. He crawled to the throne and was trying to pull himself upright when the double doors to the throne room burst open.
In stormed Queen Stephen, flanked by two of his ladies in waiting Lady Robin and Countess Annika know to the court as Nancy. Lady Robin held a leaking bag of flour and Countess Nancy held a short sword in one hand and a dagger in the other.
In Queen Stephen's hand was an unlit Molotov cocktail. A third lady was behind them with a lit torch.
"So you have come to join us at last," Vecna sneered. But it was weak as he had yet to stand after the last quake.
"Unhand my husband and you may let live," Queen Stephen hissed, "harm one hair on his head and I will tear this place down like an ancient bygone."
Vecna struggled to his feet and stared him down. "And what weapons? Will you break your oath, making the treaty between your kingdom of Loch Nora and Hawkins moot?"
Queen Stephen smiled and shook his head. "No. I do not need weapons of war to bring this place to rubble around your ears."
"You lie," Vecna scoffed. "Like the whore you are."
Stephen indicated to Lady Robin. "What she is carrying is the means to your destruction. For you see, flour burns. All I have to do is signal Duchess Caroline and she will light Lady Robin's trail."
Venca snorted. "It will smoke and do naught else."
"It will burn all the way to the kitchen where we have the flour in kegs," Queen Stephen said brightly. "Do you know what happens to flour under pressure when heated?"
"It makes a mess?" Vecna mocked.
Hopper and King Edward chuckled darkly.
"Oh it does that," Hopper agreed quite seriously. "Just probably not the kind you're thinking of."
"Hello, my darling flower," King Edward said with a smile. "I was waiting for you."
"Are you well?" Queen Stephen asked, chewing on his lip.
"Better now that I've have heard your dulcet tones."
Vecna dashed forward and grabbed the king by the scruff his neck. He hauled him over to the window. "This is the outcome of your faith!"
Below him the town square was filled with enemy combatants.
But behind him the queen was unfazed. "Yes, King Venca, watch!"
Then one by one flaming arrows hit the kegs behind the soldiers and at first nothing happened.
"Ha!" Vecna cried, but his victory was cut short by the kegs shooting forth columns of flame into the air and the fire spread. The cheers of the conquering army turned quickly into screams of pain and terror.
Vecna whirled back to face Queen Stephen. "Where did you get black powder?!" he screamed in outrage.
"Not black powder," the queen assured him. "That would be breaking my oath. It's common milled flour. And burns like the fires of Hell."
King Edward lurched in Vecna's grasp, first toward him and then away.
Suddenly the foreign king was staring down the blade of his own sword.
"Long live the king!" King Edward snarled and kicked Vecna through the window to the fires below.
Both the king and queen rushed to the window, but in the haze of smoke and fires, they could not see were lay.
"Dramatic much, dearest?" Queen Stephen chuckled.
"To match thee only, my darling flower," King Edward said grinning back at him.
"Fair enough."
Then they kissed to the roaring crowd of the people of Hawkins.

"The Bloody Countess" she beheads people and bathes in their-- There's really this story, about a woman who killed young people to bathe in their blood because she thought it would rejuvenate her, right? If that hottie wanted to bathe in my blood... she would have to deal with my girlfriend first, asshole, slut, you think I'm that easy? [blows a kiss] Kiss, love. [laughs] Now you can clip it and send it to her, to show her that I'm romantic and faithful. [laughs again] Cut this part, cut this part.
