I agree with this and is one of the reasons I wanted to do a blog, but it's so difficult to get people to see it. I just wasn't getting the interactions there, despite how much work I was putting in. Plus SEO has changed

I also don't read blogs the same way I used to, I can't seem to keep focused, so I get it.

I am slowly losing my mind over the shift towards video as the default media format.

I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over. I can't use ctrl+f to find the specific information I'm looking for. If there are instructions to follow, I don't want to have to constantly pause and back up to the part I need.

At least give me a fucking transcript.

Playtime Perspectives Daily writing prompt Do you play in your daily life? What says “playtime” to you? View all responses Playtime and Video Games I almost didn’t think I was going to make this by midnight. But yes, I do play. Typically playtime to me looks like video games. I spend a lot of time playing them because they get my mind off of my problems. Just don’t expect me to be too good at them. lol What Defines Playtime? Playtime is anything that isn’t productive, right? I guess I would also consider managing my websites, something that I do in my playtime, but this blog, in particular, feels more important than that. I use this blog to process a lot of my thoughts, so I think it’s more serious than the label “playtime” would allude to. Would spending time with family and friends count as playtime? I do that periodically. I think that most people do this. Most of my daily activities aren’t too unusual or exciting. No, not everybody does what I do, but it isn’t anything to write home about. I try to keep things calm and simple, not that it always works out that way, but it’s the goal. Exploring Hobbies If I had more in the way of disposable income, I would love to pick up additional hobbies. Like painting (art, not walls) has always been an interest of mine. It’s so expensive though, all the supplies and space and such. That’s why I try to do it on my iPad. If there is a hobby that you think everybody should try, leave me a comment and maybe I will. The Value of Hobbies Hobbies are such an expensive thing, aren’t they? Right after I had that thought, the next thought was, “I wonder how people justify this expense.” But then after some contemplation, I think just saying “It’s my hobby” is justification enough, right? Hobbies help people in many ways. They can help reduce stress, improve focus and mental functions, expand social networks, and personal development. I don’t know that many people probably examine just why they have a hobby, outside of it being something that they like. However, I think most people understand the value that a hobby brings, which is why a justification isn’t usually necessary. Anyway, I think I might keep this post short and do another if anything else comes to mind. Side Note: Website Issues I have been trying to set up a CDN (Content Delivery Network) with my website host and Cloudflare, but I am having soo many issues. Target Open Story Review - Toiletry Bag & Compression Bag Set

Open Story Small Hanging Toiletry Bag – Blue 

This toiletry bag comes with a handle and a hanging hook, with two zipper compartments, two mesh compartments, and the main body of the bag. For $13 ($12.99 technically), this is the size I would expect. I love the blue color. 

I used this bag on a recent, 7-day 6-night trip, where I was able to pack most of my toiletries I needed in this bag. For reference, I brought nail care, my shampoo & conditioner bar, body wash bar, tea tree oil, face wash, face cream, facial sunscreen, toothbrush, toothpaste, underwear liners, perfume roller, lip balm, chafing stick, travel poopouri, and a body lotion pump. I carried my deodorant with me in my backpack, just in case, so that did not go in this bag. A lot. All of that comfortably fit in this bag and nothing in the bag was damaged or broken when I arrived at my destination or when I arrived home. Again, a note I travelled by car, not plane, so this has not been through luggage abuse.

I love the size of this bag— it is just right for me. It’s bigger than a cosmetic bag, but smaller than the toiletry bags the men in my family use. I’m sure I would be able to fit more into this bag than what I brought if I really planned out where it would go. This is currently my go to. 5/5 stars.

Open Story 5pc Compression Bag Set

This compression bag set comes with 1 small, 2 medium, and 2 large bags. These bags are not for vacuum sealing; instead, the way you use them is like this: you fill, zip them with their zipper enclosure, and roll the bags to push out the air. Once they’re closed, they’re airtight and waterproof. They’re $20 ($19.99 technically). 

I recently purchased these for a roadtrip where I wanted to take a couple of sweaters; I’ve put my clothes into zip bags before and pushed out the air, but that really only works if that apparel item fits into a gallon size bag. So, I figured, these would be worth a try and the investment. 

I used these for a wool duster from H&M and a men’s large cotton knitted sweater; I used the two medium size bags for these. They fit the items very well and I was able to organize them in my hardshell luggage well. Overall, very pleased with this. 

For my return trip, I filled one of the large ones with my dirty clothes, consisting of undergarments, socks, and shirts. This fit all of them and didn’t seep into any clean clothes I was taking home. Again, very pleased. 

I really enjoy these. I can see me using them in a lot of different ways, for storage and travel, and I love that they really do condense down a puffy sweater that wants to take up half of my suitcase with no vacuum. 5/5 stars.

I hope these reviews were helpful for you and were in depth enough to fully get together all my opinions! I certainly would recommend both of these products, but don’t feel inclined to buy something because of these types of posts. Only get something if you need it or will use it.
