i've been itching to rewatch the series lately and a few years ago i did something similar for miraculous ladybug where i wrote up like a stream of consciousness/commentary post and made a gifset for each episode and i wanna try to do it again for haikyuu?? we'll see if i stay committed or not lol—gifsets per ep probably a lot more likely to continue than commentaries tbh, these things are long and not thought out so,

those are the sole things keeping you alive right now as you lay on the couch, cocooned with a soft blanket that baby had gratefully given you. Sleep is but a wish for you, as you do your best to clear your mind and calm down, but your head is in shambles. It feels as if someone is constantly bashing in your skull with a hammer, and the light that peeks it’s way through the cover is blinding. You attempt to blockout the light by moving the cover some more.

you’d want nothing more than to sleep this wretched curse of a headache off, but alas, it seems god wanted you to suffer, and stay wide awake throughout this purgatory like punishment.

Though silence in not something you can seem to achieve in this house, as screams and cries of agony ring through the entire household, followed by none other than baby’s giggles. Even if you’ve grown used to it, at a time like this, it feels like her giggling is actually stabbing you in the head. You can hear the pounding in your skull, and it’s driving you crazy. It feels as though your body will explode, and honestly you’re sure you would rather that, than this.

you had tried powering through it, doing chores, but you almost passed out when you tried to pick up a towel, and that’s when baby “insisted” forced you to lay down on the couch.

While in the haze of your own thoughts, a small creak in the floor bored has you wincing, Even small and subtle noises hurt. But you feel more at ease at the familiar pattern of the steps that approach you.

the smell of blood is strong, but once again, familiar. And, oddly enough, comforting. the weight on the couch shifts, and you groan, the shift causing your head to move. After a solid second or two, you can feel him start to lay down next to you, him opting to be big spoon as always, you slowly scoot over to make room for him. His body enveloping yours, completely caging you in, per say.

Nonetheless, his arm snakes around your waist, and you can feel his hot breath on your neck, plus the warmth radiating from his body is oh so comforting. “Ya feelin okay princess?”

Otis’s voice is unusually soft, and helps soothe your mind ever so slightly. You’re too exhausted and in pain to answer verbally so, instead you just shake your head no. Otis doesn’t say anything back, and instead, slowly urges you to turn around. You obey his silent command, and turn onto your other side.

your now face to face with your boyfriend, and you can now properly see the worry in his eyes.

you never told him about your headaches, mostly because they were rare and you didn’t feel the need to, but now wish you would’ve. you know that if you would have told him about this, he would’ve known exactly how to handle this, but right now, he’s relying on pure instinct to try and take care of you. Which all in all, isn’t such a bad thing, considering how you already feel a little more at peace In his arms.

You still don’t feel like talking, so you just snuggle closer to Otis, burying your face into his chest, the comfort and safety of him being near eases your mind a little more, and you finally feel as though you can sleep.
