just watched tanz der vampire 1997 proshot and phantom of the opera has officially been #DETHRONED from the position of second favorite musical.
i can’t exactly say for sure what i liked more about this one tonally but it worked more for me than the 2005 proshot. not saying much cus i already loved it a lot, but i love it sooo much more now. for now ill chalk it up to different direction and not think about it too hard! steve barton is THE BEST krolock and so talented. anything with dramatic (and blue, more often than not) lighting is automatically better than anything else. i also have a massive crush on 1997 alfred which might make a small difference too
I hope you take this as the compliment it is intended to be, but you strike the same chord of irreverence-as-love, jokes-to-showcase-sencerity that I get from Chuck Tingle, and I adore both of you.
More Signs (and Another Beach Ball) in Wildwood Crest
Here are some new signs (and a beach ball at a home) around Wildwood Crest!
In today’s post, I’m sharing some photos taken while driving around Wildwood Crest. These photos were taken on November 19th, 1966. (…Or, was that 2022?)
Large concrete beach balls are usually found in public municipal areas of Doo Wop City, but here’s one resting at a private residence!
Since this isn’t on public property, I’m not going to post the beach ball’s location. Nonetheless, it got me…
A piece depicting Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena, standing sideways on a dark starry backgroud with her head turned towards the viewer. She is a thin tan-skinned girl with long, flowing purple hair, green eyes, and a spiky yellow tiara. She is wearing a sleeveless dress that is red on the side and white in the centre. A braided white cord is attached to an epaulette with a bluegreen tassel on her right shoulder. A sheer white overskirt flows from her waist to the bottom of the picture, and she has a large red cuff on her arm, which is also holding a long axe with the blade pointing downwards. The artist’s watermark is visible in white in the lower left corner.
Drift - Blast Off rain test animation (2018) with colours (2023)
Blast Off design by Dou Hong https://douhong.blogspot.com/2011/11/ Many continuity issue. completed 90% of animation 5 yrs ago. I forgot design of some thing. storyboard action seems silly in hindsight. Pacing is rough. It has been five years since I drew this. A lot of shots were removed.
Context: Israel “allowed” aid in the forms of flour bags to be airdropped into Gaza, waited for hundreds to congregate, and then opened fire into the crowd of desperate, starving Palestinians. 150 Palestinians were killed. Hundreds more wounded. This is being called “The Flourbag Massacre”.
