I'm trying to figure out how I want her to look, mainly her lower body.

A part of me thinks it'd be funny if she were naga-like, either fully or with a few insect legs, but another part of me really REALLY wants to give her long legs, to go fully in on the whole insect body and to strut about sexily tormenting Hollow who cannot stop staring and getting distracted-

Maybe I can do both. Insect body similar to Grimm or Hornet but super long worm-like 'tail'.

That'd really help to go in on the "He made me an abomination" angle, a creature that clearly wasn't quite a bug but sure as HELL wasn't a Wyrm either.

Still unsure if that sort of a result was intentional or not; it being an accident gives a little bit of leeway to forgive the King (only a little, dude, you intentionally fucked with her body at their most vulnerable time wtf is wrong with you? That's low, even if she did try to kill you and steal your kingdom. No I don't care if you saw the opportunity to "experiment" that makes it WORSE!) and it's a little more believable that something went wrong or didn't work as intended since this was something he's never done before.

On the other side, this alteration was meant to be a punishment, retribution for the destruction and death she caused. Wyrms aren't known to forgive or go easy on those they defeat, the fact that she's allowed to live at all is a mercy. Wyrms normally go for the kill. He could've totally just killed her, again, for good, and he would've been in his right to.

(She's probably super insulted that he didn't. She probably calls him a coward, a weakling, a pathetic failure of a wyrm who can't even bloody his teeth right. And he's just like "lmao okay whatever helps you sleep at night, looser.")

I'm also turning around the idea that wyrms teeth are unique, though I'm unsure how much leeway I should give myself if so. PK's work as teeth and horns, they're simple enough, and over-complicating a tooth/horn might turn out shitty.

I'm rambling, I should probably just sketch.

Not my favorite doodle with the villain but he’s fun to draw. I imagine before they get into a full on physical fight, PK and Blackwyrm just start screeching at each other like wild animals as a literal display of dominance kinda thing. And it is the most god-awful, disturbing, blood chilling sound known to bug.

A concept I have for Wyrms is they are capable of otherworldly sounds. A legend I have is that if you hear the cry of a Wyrm, destruction and death are sure to follow.

Still don’t have any names planned out so if you have any ideas lemme know and I’ll put them in a pile for consideration :)

in ffxiv verse:

nalice was born after ratatoskr’s death. she never knew a time of peaceful coexistence between man and dragon, and she grew up seeing humans as enemies.

in wow verse, she’s onyxia’s daughter, but in ffxiv I think daughter from one of nidhogg’s children suffices aksdjnfksnf

she fights for his horde, and does not agree to peace. after the dragonsong war ends, nalice is left without a purpose or somewhere she belongs.

99% of the time I write her she’s in her humanoid form, so I want to say she can shapeshift in this verse too. but she’d probably shapeshift into an au ra instead of a human, although an unusually tall one for a female.

and also because I just really want to get to write her and dragons are versatile

in league verse:

she’s the daughter of an earth elemental dragon mom. maybe her dad is kadregrin. in this verse she’s also a little hater of humans 💁‍♀️

she’s not that old (for a dragon. she’s older than any human, but by dragon standards? young. a baby. ok maybe not baby but like, young!)

her purpose is to be chaotic. she’s not about to fly into a mortal kingdom destroying everything with brute force as much as she’s likely to pretend to be human and try to turn humans against each other from the inside. 

therefore, I maintain she’s a shapeshifter and her appearance is the same as wow. she’s not a human-dragon hybrid like shyvana, and she holds no sympathy for shyv. she’s just a mean little dragon that sometimes pretends to be a human through magic to cause chaos. 

she’s not... inherently evil, really, more so raised in a way that fostered hatred for mortals and learning to see them as enemies since they were never friendly towards her either, even when she was young and (mostly) harmless. 

in all verses, she has a twin/clutch brother, serinar, who she’s particularly close to. they learned to survive by having each other’s backs, and it’s how it’s always been --- until her brother disappeared. whether he left, died or something else is left open ended, and finding him will always be one of nalice’s goals

Erlea is a HollowKnight OC by my Friend on Discord. Basically, she's the daughter of Hivequeen Vespa and the Blackwyrm that got mentioned in the Hunter-Entry of the White Defender. Since it isn't clear, if the Blackwyrm really was a wyrm, we came to the conclution, that they was a Descendant of the ancient civilization that worshipped the Void. He was together with Vespa before the Pale King came to Hallownest and later he got in some kind of war with the PK and the five great Knights in which he died. To prevent something like this from happening again, the PK invaded the Hive and stole Vespas Egg which caused the Hive to seal itself up from the Rest of Hallownest. Instaed of destroying the Egg directly, it got thrown into the Abyss and found by the Royal servant that stood guard on the Lighthouse. He took care of the young Bee that hatched out of the egg. However as the Void made the Servant to turn the Light off, he got killed and Erlea got devoured by it. Then, as The Knight turned into the Shadelord, the Void let off from her. Leaving her back in the Lighthouse. However, the Void changed her. Made her a half-Void being. Not entirely empty like the Vessels. Yeah that's what we came up with roughly xD I like her design quite a bit x3 Hope you guys like it too!

Adding onto the beef of my Hallownest Reborn AU, trying to plot out the main villain. The wasp guy was just an underdog, but the true threat is another higher being. I’m gonna play with different ideas but so far I’ve got two concepts for a Wyrm- reborn the same way Pale King was.

I’m really digging the second sketch a lot better, but he looks a little shorter than I would like.

Also I just realized his long body looks weird because I forgot which direction I was twisting it halfway through and didn’t notice till now 😭😭😭

Denzel Blackwyrm, the Jabberwocky! I had a lot of fun making him and it’s so much easier to make male characters then trying to make girls hhh I tried make him look more dragony but I couldn’t figure out how to make the horns work so ignore them

Denzel is a second year in Heartslabyul and is viewed a delinquent. In chapter 1 he’s a character who appears when people, usually Ace, is talking about how bad Riddle is as a dorm head to hype up the negative opinions of him and seems to have a keen interest in befriending people who dislike Riddle while acting openly hostile to those who are his friends.

Denzel's mother works as a dietitian and when he was younger was doing work for Riddle's mother and helping her plan her meticulous meals. For this reason, Denzel was one of the few friends Riddle was allowed to have

For Denzel, people were afraid of him because of his sharp teeth and short fuse so he struggled with making friends. When Riddle didn't seem put off by him and told him he wasn't the one at fault, Denzel started to think of Riddle as his best friend

But because Denzel's mother wasn't as strict with him as Riddle's mother would expect, he was sneaking in to see his friend and distracting him from his studying or sneaking him treats and was then banned from going over to see Riddle with his mother again

This wasn't explained to Denzel and since his mother was still working with Riddle's mother, it seemed like he had just been cut out of his friend's life by him with no explanation. It Denzel where it hurt and he felt like every interaction with Riddle was a lie and that every time he was kind to him, it was shallow platitudes because he was scared

Because of his scary appearance and rough demeanor, most kids his age avoided him and it was made worse by the new chip on his shoulder. Having grown tired of constant rejections from his classmates, in middle school he began to hang around with the older students and high schoolers and began to act out as a delinquent.

This continued all the way up until he was brought into Night Raven College, where his mother hoped he would be able to make friends with better people and put his energy into more productive things.

However, being at NRC put Riddle back into his path and all his directionless anger was given a focus again. His loyalty made him stubborn and made it easy for him to hold grudges and Riddle having a whole new friend group compounded his jealousy and feelings of abandonment.

Their relationship at the beginning of the story is tense, their first year spent with one-sided antagonism turning into mutual dislike as Riddle didn't know why Denzel was acting the way he was and going out of his way to cause more and more problems for Riddle.

Under the surface, Denzel is pulled into two different directions. Even after years of anger, he feels a sense of loyalty to Riddle as the first person who gave him a chance and doesn't like when other people are too harsh with him. The other side of him feels that this is just Riddle reaping what he sowed and he's finally getting to see the payback that the hypocrite deserved. This causes interactions with him to be wildly unpredictable as one moment he might be egging someone on to hold a grudge against the dorm head to very sternly telling students off for not behaving.

After Riddle overblots however, Denzel is faced with just how much his old friend has been dealing with and finally shelves his issues to listen to Riddle's side of the story. His whole life he had been under the assumption that Riddle chose to not see him again but when it becomes clear just how strict Riddle's mother was and how of his control his life was, Denzel apologizes sincerely for his actions and softens up to Riddle and his friend

He still skips class and when he feels like it and causes petty mischief but it's nowhere close to how malicious he was in the past. His interactions with Riddle become less like fights and more like banter, with some warm-hearted exasperation on Riddle's side

Denzel is no less angry than he was in the past, it just has a new target, Riddle's mom. He hates that he spent years angry at someone who did nothing wrong and feels vaguely used for the amount of pressure he put on someone who didn't deserve it

Is very reliable when it counts and will help wrangle the other students when he's asked. Doesn't interfere with ADeuce or the prefect when they get up to shenanigans though, he finds them way too entertaining to ever try and stop them
