Hello! :D I haven't seen a blackrose ask blog yet, so I decided to take matters into my own hands, I guess? I just really wanted there to be one for some reason. I love these guys. I guess I'll get started with basic information.

- Their speech is color coded (obviously! It makes everything pretty.) Ocean, Constance.

- The cyclone accident HAS happened!! At the end when Karnak malfunctioned, it brought them all back. With some major trauma, but they're back, lmao.

- They ARE 17 / I am a minor also, so no NSFW. Some jokes are fine, but no direct NSFW or sexualization will be accepted. If I get any ask of that sort, they will be immediately deleted.

- They aren't together YET. Ocean is way too blinded by her academic career, and Constance is completely lovestruck.. >< Poor gal, we'll get there eventually.

As the most inquisitive of the brothers, it was no surprise that Satan could be amazed by anything he found interesting. He’s curious by nature. It’s just the way he is. Researching, reading, learning. It makes him happy. 

This being so, he was eager to learn about humans. So eager that when you arrived, he bought a new notebook. A special notebook. In the name of science, he started keeping notes about you, the shiny new human. He recorded various things in it, things that no one else would think to write down. 

Your hair and eye color, height, skintone, anything and everything. If it could be used to identify you, it went in. Eventually, the contents of the notebook shifted; the tone of it changed from scientific to utterly smitten. 

Now, he takes careful note of things you like. Things you dislike. Your favorite song, color, movie, time of year. What outfits you wear most. What meals you seem to prefer. When you have good days and bad. 

And as you become closer and closer, he starts realizing that it’s honestly… Sort of creepy. But it makes him happy and it’s not hurting anything. So… basically, Satan keeps an MC diary. Currently, he’s writing his newest entry:

MC laughed at something I said earlier. I don’t remember exactly what it was. Something rude about Lucifer, I think. He sighs happily. Their eyes sparkle when they’re happy. And they light up any room they care to enter. I want to make them laugh again. 

He thinks to himself for a moment, realizing something. It’s my night to make dinner. I’m making their favorite dish from the Human Realm. My brothers will likely gripe about it, but I don’t care. I want them to be happy. I want to make them happy—

A sudden knock at the door silences his thoughts and stills his pen. A half second later, the door swings open, revealing Asmodeus. “I hope you’re decent, but if you’re not, I don’t mind.” He says, closing the door behind him. While Asmo’s back is turned, Satan shuffles the notebook around, trying to disguise it among the half a dozen books in his bed. 

“Hi Asmo, what do you need?”

Satan makes a face as he watches his brother traipse through his room, weaving through piles of books to get closer. Asmo drops onto the bed dramatically. “I’m bored,” he says with a huff.

“Is that my problem?” Satan asks.

Asmo gasps. “It’s everyone’s problem! Anyone else would be doing anything they could to make me happy.” He pouts.

Satan rolls his eyes. “Sorry, I’m not here to entertain you.” 

Asmo grumbles, but falls silent. “Can I paint your nails?”

“I’m busy.”

“With what?” Asmo says, eyes falling on the literature scattered around the bed. “We have to find you a better hobby.” He says, a look of disgust on his face. When his gaze falls on the notebook, the only of the books which doesn’t look dusty and gross, Satan’s eyes widen. Asmo’s lips curl up when he notices Satan’s expression. He grabs the notebook and dives across the room with it.

“Give that back! It’s mine.” Satan yells.

But Asmo’s eyes glint with evil and he turns the shameful notebook over in his hands and opens it to a random page. He barely has time to skim the page before Satan manages to snatch it away, his face burning. It’s apparent from the look on his face that Asmo got quite an eyeful.

“You’re stalking MC?!” He squawks. “I didn’t think you were the type! I mean, Mammon, sure! But you, Satan? This is so unexpected!”

“I am NOT stalking them. I just… I like… I’m—” The fourth born stammers, unable to form a sentence. He can’t justify this. Asmo’s scrutinizing gaze isn’t helping. Satan sighs and hangs his head. “Please don’t tell them.”

“Oh, I won’t.” Asmo says, patting his poor, ridiculous brother’s shoulder. There’s a condition to his words, something hidden in his voice. 

“But?” Satan asks, raising a brow.

“But you have to stop keeping these… Creepy notes and tell them how you feel.” Asmo says, glancing at the book once more before he adds, “Oh. And let me paint your nails.”

Satan gapes. “I can’t tell them.”

“You’re infatuated and they’re oblivious. It’s driving me insane. So, tell them or the whole House is going to know about your… weirdness.” Asmo says, gesturing at Satan’s general area. Then he goes for his cell phone.

“No, no, no. I’ll tell them. I will.” Satan promises.

“Oh, good!” Asmo says, clapping his hands excitedly. Satan scowls. “Oh, don’t look so upset dear. Something good came out of this.”

“What?”

“I’m not bored anymore.” Asmo smirks.

Looking for creative, flexible roleplay partners!

Good evening. I apologize for any errors in this post, haven’t used tumblr in a while.

Hope you are well.

I am looking to partake in some 1x1 RPs via discord for several fandoms. Generally I prefer canon x canon pairings and while I do enjoy playing both genders, I don’t like to play males for women writers who refuse to double since I feel like I see too many writers only writing their personal gender and I think it hinders our story if I’m the only person capable of side or other main roles.

I do prefer M x F pairs.

I also tend to give 3-6 paragraphs per main role I write as, in third person past tense.

Generally I try to get 2-3 posts out a week so if you’re after a rapid-fire writer, we may not be suited for each other. I am almost 30 and have a lot of things on my plate so I would prefer my partner be in a similar place in life where they aren’t in front of their laptop all the time.

That said, I do love to chat OOC and prefer to get to know my partners on a personal level. I am happy to be someone who you vent to or share silly memes with. If you prefer to keep things more professional, that’s okay and I respect that provided you can still be plot and be approached with discussions relating to our story.

Mature content is something I don’t shy away from, however it shouldn’t be the center of our story. 

So if you’re interested in discussing pairs, drop me a message or like this post and I can try to reach out to you. Once we settle on a pair (or pairs, I’m happy to double up or do multiple RPs) then we can move to discord.

Ad Noctem continues to grow beyond our expectations!  We’re absolutely thrilled with the enthusiasm and overwhelming interest the roleplay community has shown us over the past few weeks, and we look forward to seeing what our members - new and old - create in the future! 

We wanted to take a moment to recap some recent and upcoming Ad Noctem events.  

The Hardship System -  As previously announced, Ad Noctem’s weekly writing prompt and roleplay mechanic hybrid, known as the Hardship System, went live on September 13th of 2021.  Haedi was our first planet to be impacted. The following is an excerpt from last week’s hardship prompt: 

A recent eruption has caused several of Relic's air purifiers to malfunction. In one particularly severe case, the internal coolants ruptured, in turn causing the engine to overclock and melt. To make matters worse, two visiting dignitaries died in their guest quarters, as a direct result of C02 inhalation. The gossip rags are abuzz; rumors are circulating that Haedi's newest ruler - Valerie - is incompetent at best, and a murderer, at worst. 

 With rumors circulating that Valerie and the dignitaries from Elos had a vicious disagreement just hours before their untimely death, the clock is ticking. Valerie must find some way to salvage the situation, before her people - and what few allies she has - turn on her. 

This prompt concluded on September 19th.  It came to an explosive (literally) conclusion! Both Eko Blackrose, the ruler of Caeleno, and Valerie Rach-Tal, found themselves the victim of an assassination attempt, shortly after Valerie sought Eko’s help with the plot against her. 

This week, Marzena Outpost has been impacted! 

Marzena Outpost is no stranger to scandal. Recent events, however, have found the planet at the epicenter of one with far-reaching consequences, and the resultant domino effect is brutal, swift, and high stakes.  Sloan Irani, the son of a prominent politician on Antares and known society darling, has been found murdered.  His body was discovered shortly after 3 AM, in the VIP lounge of Kalopsia.  Early toxicology reports are inconclusive, but something caused his implants to malfunction, stimulating the effects of a heart attack,  effectively boiling his blood from the inside out in the process. 

 Then there’s the small matter of the slit throat.   To complicate matters, his body has been savaged; 4.3 million worth of custom, priceless tech and mods picked clean, peeled out of his still-warm body with surgical precision.  Half of it hit the black market at 8:44 AM, and is going fast. The rest? Is up for private auction. But who is responsible for the murder, and more importantly, why?  How does Orion Forgrave tie into this? Or does he? All anyone knows for sure is that the Waypoint is on lockdown. No one gets in or out. Police raids are on the rise, and this one idealistic criminal empire has been thrown into turmoil, on the verge of collapse. Are the halcyon days of Marzena Outpost truly at an end?

This prompt will conclude on September 26th, so there’s plenty of time to get in on the action!

Nix & Veles’ Wedding -  Join us for the upcoming union of Antares’ new leaders, Nix Adjoran, and Veles Andris! This will be our first server event, and first group roleplay event. This event will be open to all current sever members, regardless of when they joined!  This event will run from October 7th to November 5th!  Participants who post at least 5+ times will be awarded a voucher, which can be redeemed for IC or OOC perks in the Upgrade shop!

There are a few I would watch religiously but I can’t think of them right now. NCIS, Cybersix, Walking Dead for a few.

Top 3 Characters: Cloud Strife (FFVII/AC is especially when I fell for him; Vincent was actually my favourite in the game before I really started exploring Cloud as a person. He was my second canon character for RP--next to Tsukasa of .hack//SIGN--and I did a lot of research to ensure I wrote him to as high a degree of accuracy as possible. So there’s a little nostalgia there too), maybe Balmung or Albireo/Watarai (or maybe even BlackRose/Akira) of .hack, and Lancer of Fate/stay night (I recall this being stylised with caps but I can’t seem to find it so this is what I’m getting on Google).

Top 3 Bands/Artist: Toss-up between Celldweller and Blue Stahli (I’m leaning Blue Stahli but Celldweller is what got me there so...), Poets of the Fall, Zack Hemsey. I think just off my top three are Linkin Park and Bastille.
