Responding to conversations about transandrophobia / anti-transmasculinity by saying "So you think men are oppressed?!?!?!" is an objectively "piss on the poor" thing to do.

No one is saying men are systematically oppressed. But there is an intersection between the "trans" and "masc/men" parts of trans men/masc's identities where some people lose their fucking minds.

If you can't understand how Some People (you know who i'm talking about.) constantly treat trans men like shit for specifically being trans men (eg "opting out" of femininity = evil, "opting into" masculinity = inherently oppressive, "theyfab," "zippertits," "better as women," "transmasc -> TERF pipeline," "transmascs/men can't experience misogyny," "trans men always have it better," etc.) then like... How's the sand tasting down there, I guess.

And if you think transmasc issues are "less important," "less prevalent," "less harmful" or in any way "less" than transfem issues then I hope that your pillow is warm on both sides, you always miss the right key on your keyboard by just a little bit, every light when you drive/walk is red, every sneeze disappears right before you feel like it's about to happen... etc etc. You are the weakest link and I wish a thousand plagues on your bloodline or whatever.

I know this is probably very controversial but. I actually love jimmy. Not because he’s a good person but precisely because he isn’t. Protagonists are always seen as having to be morally pure or perfect to be worthy of Being the protagonist. I think it’s nice to finally have a protagonist that isn’t. Being in the transmasc community is strange sometimes. Feels like I don’t really fit in.

All of the things that offend or upset you guys don’t bother me.

Eg. Being called girlie/ladies/maam/etc, wearing skirts and acrylic nails and stuff, being referred to as female, etc. Those are just a few examples from a few posts.

Not that they shouldn’t talk about what makes them uncomfortable, ofc. Everyone deserves boundaries and such. It’s just kind of odd to see these called things all transmascs/men hate.

I am so tired of dealing with fearmongering around T. I cannot have a conversation with the people I love about wanting to go on testosterone without them trying to “inform” me about all the bad horrible terrible things that will happen to my poor little lady body if I put the Big Mean Man Chemical in it. It’s exhausting.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the body I was born in. I love being a woman, and I love being female. These are important aspects of my identity. But I am still a man. I still want a more androgynous or masculine body than I have. I’d like to have a deeper voice, to have more muscle, to have facial hair and the like.

I just hate that nobody understands this is something I want. Beyond politics, feminism, or whatever else, shouldn’t they at least understand that I want this? That this is important to me? That this will help me have the body that I’ve been wanting for years? I’m just so tired.
