I made this drawing based on @hotdrinkstudies's Spider-Man Birdrick AU :D I experimented a lot with different brushes to get a bit of a Spider-Verse look. I don't think I really got it, but the effects are still nice and I learned a lot.

Rick struggles vainly against the antimatter handcuffs and armed guards as they haul him effortlessly down the stone path leading deeper into their hive. Without seeming to communicate, they stop in perfect unison, so suddenly that they nearly jolt his arms from their sockets. Before he can recover, he feels a brief flash of motion and then red, hot pain. He blinks and rubs at his face.

“Insect fucks!” he gasps out, raising a middle finger as the cell door slams shut. Perhaps not the most eloquent or cutting response, but the best he can manage after taking a wall to the face. He feels his leg brush against a bench and shuffles over before half-sitting, half-falling onto it as he waits for his vision to clear. 

If only he’d had his anti-antimatter generator on him, he could’ve slipped out of the cuffs in an instant, used the element of surprise to take out a guard, and made a break for the exit. 

Slowly, vague colours and shapes start returning to his field of view, but nowhere near enough detail yet to start making an escape plan. He can distinguish the tiny barred slot in the cell door and the strangely rounded walls but little else.

“Are you alright?” the voice comes from inside the cell, startling Rick straight off the bench and onto the floor. His body can’t make up its mind whether to scramble backwards or to its feet and Rick throws an arm out, trying to get a handhold on the wall. 

He sees a shape rise opposite, wide and massive. Rick feels panic screaming in his chest.

“Forgive me, I did not mean to startle you.” the voice is deep and almost toneless, but something about it is almost reassuring to Rick. He tries to steady his breathing and focus his eyes.

In front of him, an angel is holding out their hand.

He blinks again, wondering if that blow to the head had caused more damage than he’d thought, and if the nuns from school had been right about an afterlife. No way he’s in heaven. Maybe part of hell is being tricked, or maybe he’s right, there is no afterlife, and this is just his brain’s way of tormenting him right to the end as he lies bleeding out on the floor.

Finally, the figure comes into focus. Not an angel, just a person. 

Maybe ‘person’ is the wrong word - after all, he does have wings, claws, and just generally a great deal more bird-like features than would be expected. Yet he has a nose, mouth, nipples. Neither one thing, nor the other.

@dirty-bear-rick-sanchez has a huge variety in terms of genre. He's so talented at exploring anything from emotional/supportive RnM, to emotional birdrick, to rickcest, and so on.

@thesoftboiledegg has a really cool series (I think it's in their pinned post?) called 'Spectrum of the Curve.' Super interesting and worth the read.

When c-137 Rick fines out prime took bp, he going to end up on a raging quest/hunt to get him back. And would also try to kill prime because he abducted his lover.
