“I am so fuckin’ done,” Ray announced and stretched his arms out before letting out a heavy sigh, leaning back in his seat as his tired eyes narrowed at the finished stack of paperwork in front of him. Marco looked up, blinking and looking just as exhausted as Ray, even if he didn’t feel it.

“Long day chick?” Marco asked as he adjusted. He’d been well and truly in the zone and had thoroughly checked out of everything around him. Marco had a habit of blinking and hours had passed since he’d moved.

“Yeah, I hate this time of year. When most crew drink in this heat, they tend to do dumb things.” He said and stood up. He felt the aches in his body from sitting hunched over a desk all day. Marco pushed his chair out and waved for Ray to come over. 

Ray sighed and shuffled over to his partner, feeling Marco’s hand running down his back, feeling the cool healing touch work out the pains, hands traveling up his back and across his shoulders working out the knots.

“Well, we can call it a day yoi.” Marco hummed, glancing at the clock as his hands ran down Ray’s arms and sides, half for his benefit and half for his enjoyment of feeling Ray's curves.

Ray just sank into his touches, eyes closed and enjoying Marco’s talented hands. The tenderness and cooling sensation of his gifted hands. Marco just smiled as he could feel Ray getting limp from how relaxed he was feeling. “How about a late-night flight little bird?” Marco suggested and Ray was suddenly full of life once again.

Turning to face Marco, hands on his chest he nodded. “It feels like forever since we got a chance to go and do bird things together; I think I’d feel at least 20% better if I get to stretch my wings. Come on!” He said, grabbing Marco’s hand and pulling him towards the door. Marco was amused at his eagerness.

They walked along the deck together hand in hand chatting away before they got to the edge of the Mody. The prominent figurehead was the ideal place for the phoenix to take off. Marco climbed up and stretched out his arms. He was always a little smug and proud of his bird form. Ray could give him a look all he wanted. Marco knew Ray was always impressed and awestruck at the beautiful blue fire and flaming plumage his phoenix form sported.

Arms vanished in the blink of an eye, replaced with blue and gold. Marco let out a loud cry as he beat his wings and took off. Ray rolled his eyes “Show off,” he huffed with a chuckle before transforming into his bird form—a small round pigeon.

Ray took to the sky, beating his wings for all he was worth. The wind whistled and made the tell tail sound of a pigeon in flight as he aimed for the stars where Marco was lazily gliding. “Little bird, you made it yoi!” Marco teased and watched as the pigeon tried to keep up with him, letting the sea breeze catch his iridescent feathers.

“Just glide with me, feel the wind,” Marco sighed, content being up amongst the stars with the man he loved. Ray did as he was told and let out a happy chirp. This was just what the doctor had ordered.

You ship Clint x Sam?Do you have any headcanons about this ship?

Yes ^-^ I call them the birds or bird brains

I have a few because I haven't written Clint and Sam as a couple besides a few fics. The headcanons are

Sam is big spoon. Not sure why but I think Clint likes being held. Being a spy is a lot. However I do believe they hold each other during the night.

Clint cooks. Not gourmet but he cooks well enough. He had to watch his niece and nephew (headcanon by the way) a few times before he had to go completely Mia. Sam cooks nuggets and Ramen. He use to low grade food.

Sam is taller than Clint. Clint doesn't mind the height difference.

If they are on a mission, sam always carry Clint. They are a pair. When they are on missions together, there is a chance of fooling around.

Sam is a very smart with tech and engineering. He helps tune up clint bow and arrows. Clint has a favored arrow (a headcanon I like for clint when I ship him with anyone) is the one that was made out of an old feather of the flacon wings.

Clint found sam can talk to birds one morning. Sam found out clint has faster healing that normal (SHIELDRA was piece of crap, another headcanon they experimented on their top spies secretly).

Clint loves thrillers but he like crim detective shows. Sam perfers sitcoms, so Bones and Saul are right up their ally.

They don't do PDA. Sam and Clint will hold hands.

Clint and Sam holidays consist of circus traditions from Clint out circus to just celebrating whatever is being celebrated. Sam stopped celebrating the holidays a while ago.

Sam asked Clint out first. Clint thought he joking. Sam tweeted at him to make it true. Clint somehow understood.

That is about it. :) I love my birdbrains
