My Grandma for her 98th birthday this year. She is one of the people that always pushed me to continue going to school. She may not be able to comprehend or remember what I have been pursuing in school but she inspires me to push forward. Through all she’s endured the last several years she pushed herself because it is what she wanted. She has less push in her these last few months but she does what she can and she still has fight in her when she’s not getting her way sometimes.
My Grandfather (Papa) inspires me in how we should work for those we love. He’s been through the most as my grandmother has been aging and even though his own ability to take care of his 90 year old body is declining he still finds the time and energy to come and visit his wife. They can still talk about old times and friends that have passed. He may not always take care of himself as well as we wish he would but he does what he can to take care of his family. He’s earned his place at the head of the table.

Solar Eclipse 2017| The clouds gave me about 2 seconds to get any kind of shot. Yatta!

At the Liberty Memorial with Mom and the grandparents. It's been rough seeing my grandmother's mind slip deeper in the darkness as my papa slows down and takes what she dishes out to him. These micro moments remind me of where they used to be though. "The good ol' days" as they say.

Antioch Park again. Rain rolled in just as I did. Luckily the sun showed its face as I was considering heading back home. The rain also brought out the toads (?). There was one that sat in the middle of the path even as people and dogs walked right next to it. It was either fierce or ignorant of its camouflage ineffectiveness. Either way, it won.

Made it over to Antioch Park a little after Graduating this month to unwind, reflect on my next steps, and get some wildlife shots. I had to twist my body all around just to not spook the Blue Jay. He gave me the weirdest looks. The cardinal spotted me and flew off but I still got a few shots in before he fled.
I like turtles.
