yet 🤞. jeremy is so funny lmao. and katelyn/aaron make me a little insane tbh, mainly bc it shows how biased neil's naration is, but also because im a sucker for a happy ending. now im gonna assume things again, but do you like aftg AUs? what are your favorite fic tropes, when you read aftg fics? any recs?

I loooooove aftg AUs!! One of my favorite AU fics that I've read (it's still ongoing) is The Sun Still Rises by mordax, it's an AU where Mary has a second son (Alex) while they're on the run so once she dies, Neil has to juggle Everything Else while also raising his lil brother. It's so well written and it does a great job portraying Neil as a Flawed but Trying parental figure. And also the foxes interacting with small children. And also seth doesn't die and accidentally becomes part of the Neil-and-brother defense squad 🤣

My other top AU is raven!nathaniel. Those are (understandably) much darker fics but there are So Many good ones

In terms of favorite Tropes, I'm always a fan of Angst and Hurt/Comfort which is probably evident from all the recs I included 🤣 I also really enjoy fics that include slice-of-life foxes shenanigans, especially if it's from other Fox POVs (special shout out to wymack POV <3)

01. Xuan inherited her father's stubbornness and her mother’s materialistic view on the world. She was a bubbly, outspoken and temperamental child, but became more withdrawn and tempered as she grew older. She has one younger sister, five years apart. They keep in tight contact. 02. She was a rebellious and troublesome firstborn, always seeking for new and exciting things. She had cheated in exams (a friend ratted her out), failed exams (luckily, she still passed second-grade), stole from her parents (busted once she became greedy and took too much) and got addicted to gaming and movie-watching (she still is). Her father had beaten her multiple times to keep her in line (worked out quite well). 03. She had a normal childhood, being a chatterbox at school and making friends easy (keeping in contact with them is a different story). She worked a few customer service gigs here and there. Her short stories and essays were featured in local newspaper. Her family immigrated to Canada when she was in seventh grade. Although she retains her mother tongue, her written and speaking ability are stiff. After graduated from University, she was unable to find a job in Canada, and thus applied to Binghamton hoping to get acclimate to the country and find more job opportunities in America. 04. While attending Carleton, Xuan and her friends created a podcast together while they were drunk one night. She carried a digital voice recorder and used it as a diary. The podcast project largely was abandoned, but to pass time, Xuan sometimes edited her voice notes and conversations she recorded to the channel. 05. She was politically-conscious at a young age. During dinner, her family like to discuss politics. Back in Vietnam, her parents -- especially her father -- often criticized the Vietnamese political elites. Her father holds a death grudge against the Vietnamese government, since they executed her grandpa and stripped away all her father's family properties, forcing him to grow up poor. Thus, Xuan developed a skewed outlook toward politicians and government. Her father’s resent influenced her to seek out ways to vent her political frustration and hope for a better future. After they moved to Canada, her father was sated by the newfound freedom and so-called democratic dreamland. However, for Xuan, the rose-tinted glasses wore off quick. 06. She found cracks in the primarily-dual political parties system, and reached the conclusion that all politicians are corrupted. Anything afflicted with the government, including police officers, are also unreliable, and gangs are merely controlled oppositions that are useless in bringing any changes to society. 07. Xuan has a detached outlook toward life. She believes anarchism is the ideal societal oucome, but she doesn't act on it. Her life motto is Stay Out of the Devil's Way. Her loyalty and friendliness are questionable at times, though she usually doesn't have the gut to betray people. That being said, because she's neither attached to a particular ideology or moral compass, she is willing to bend her conscience if she deems the consequences are harmless. 08. An extremely stingy person despite being raised in a middle-class family with a plenty of money to spare. She holds a complex toward money, feeling guilty for having an abundance of it while her parents had to struggle during their youth. Thus, she often rejected monetary support from her parents. She tigtens her belt a lot and looks for free goods wherever possible, sometimes regardless of the detriments on her own body or future. Her parents are exasperated by this behaviour of her. 09. Her dream is to burrow away in a rural farmhouse and live far, far away from the City. 10. She loves Charles Bukowski. He's a big influence on her thinking as she matures into adulthood.

With her background, she can take up anything ranging from product (re)design and/or altercations, drawing (blueprints, sketches of people, etc.) or research and observe human behaviour, to serving at bars, restaurants or even ghostwriting. She prides herself on her forgettableness and ability to fade in the background when the situation calls for it.

The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Adam Beckman in a trade with the Minnesota Wild in exchange for Graeme Clarke. The announcement was made by President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald and Devils’ Assistant General Manager/Utica Comets General Manager Dan MacKinnon.

Beckman, 23, has played in 23 career NHL games and made his NHL debut with the Wild on October 30, 2021, at Colorado. The 6’2”, 180lbs. forward recorded his first NHL point, an assist, on November 6, 2021, at Pittsburgh. Beckman has three career assists and 14 career penalty minutes, all with Minnesota. In 2023-24, Beckham played in 11 games with the Wild, picking up two assists.

Beckman scored 33 points (19g-14a) last season for Iowa of the American Hockey League, leading the team in goals, and finishing fourth on the club in points. The lefthanded shot played in parts of four seasons with Iowa at the AHL level from 2020-21 to 2023-24 and totaled 108 points (57g-51a) in 181 regular-season contests. He also scored one goal in two games during the Calder Cup Playoffs in 2023.

Born on May 10, 2001, Minnesota selected the left wing in the third round, 75th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft. Before his professional experience, he played three seasons (2017-18 to 2020-21) in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with Spokane and totaled 196 career points (97g-99a) in 153 games with the Chiefs.

Clarke played the last four seasons with the Devils organization at the AHL level with Binghamton/Utica He was selected by New Jersey in the third round, 80th overall, in the 2019 NHL Draft, five picks after Minnesota selected Beckman.

On this day 42 years ago Brad Gillis makes his live concert debut with Ozzy Osbourne, in Binghamton, NY.

Crazy to believe but it was actually also the first time Brad played with the entire band as he had only one rehearsal before that show, and Ozzy was not there for the rehearsal.

Brad would stay with Ozzy until the end of the year, deciding to leave the band and go back to Night Ranger once Rudy Sarzo decided to go join Quiet Riot. Brad would have the Dawn Patrol album (Night Ranger) and Speak of the Devil album (Ozzy) released in the same month.

RANGERS AGREE TO TERMS WITH LOUIS DOMINGUE

Domingue, 32, has appeared in 24 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL) this season, notching a 13-7-4 record, 2.65 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. The St-Hyacinthe, Quebec native made one start for the Blueshirts this season, stopping 25-of-26 shots in a win against Minnesota on November 9. The 6-3 209-pounder has amassed 143 career NHL games, split between the Rangers, Penguins, Flames, Canucks, Devils, Lightning, and Coyotes, compiling a 60-60-10 record, 3.02 goals against average, and .905 save percentage. He had a career-best season in 2018-19 with the Tampa Bay Lightning, going 21-5-0 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .908 save percentage.
