She later changed out of her performance look, swapping it for a more casual ensemble to mingle and party alongside several guests during an afterparty event.

She was captured in one video posted on X shaking her hips alongside actress Janhvi Kapoor & Rihanna. The pair smiled while shimmying trio. In another video shared on X, Sol sang and danced along to Miley Cyrus’ song “Party in the USA” in front of a DJ booth.

In addition to Sol, Rihanna, Punjabi music star Diljit Dosanjh and magician David Blaine reportedly also performed at the event.

Anant’s lavish celebration — which continues throughout the weekend — is being held at the Ambani estate in Gujarat and features a notable list of guests including Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan's royal family.

Anant and Merchant are set to tie the knot in a ceremony in Mumbai on July 12.

Arkansas authorities are investigating after law enforcement officers shot and injured a parolee who fired at them at a Little Rock motel.

The Department of Corrections said officers with the Division of Community Correction were serving a warrant on the parolee at a motel on Bankhead Drive near the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport on Monday morning. The department said the parolee pulled a handgun and fired at the officers, who returned fire and shot him in the torso.

The parolee, who was not identified, was being treated at a Little Rock hospital. The department did not say what the parolee's condition was.

Donald Trump's adoring and worshipful MAGA followers routinely insist they don't belong to a cult. The evidence, however, proves otherwise. Steven Hassan, author of The Cult of Trump, is convinced that the former and felonious president is more than just a manipulative, charismatic politician. Trump, he writes, “employs many of the same techniques as prominent cult leaders and displays many of the same personality traits.”

But Trump's quasi-religious movement not only embraces the poorly educated masses, but also reaches into the very halls of the Capitol itself. Remember when Republicans twice refused to impeach and convict Trump, despite mountains of evidence? To this day, they deny he lost in 2020 or that he actually committed the crimes for which he's been convicted. But lately the nauseating veneration of Trump by congressional GOPers has gotten way out of hand.

Only days after Trump became the first ex-president ever convicted of a crime, Arizona representative Paul Gosar filed legislation to have the Federal Reserve issue a $500 note featuring Trump's mug, despite an 1866 federal statute prohibiting living persons being on US money. His bill is called the Treasury Reserve Unveiling Memorable Portrait (TRUMP) Act.

Then there was the proposal (HR 7845) introduced in April by several Republican members to rename Washington's Dulles International Airport for their beloved Dear Leader. Said Virginia Democrat Gerry Connolly, “If Republicans want to name something after him, I’d suggest they find a federal prison.”

Last week, Florida's Greg Steube said he plans to introduce legislation that would rename the waterways immediately surrounding the US — also known as the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) — to the "Donald John Trump Exclusive Economic Zone of the United States." This zone extends out roughly 230 miles from shore and also includes the waterways around Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the US Virgin Islands and the Northern Marianas.

Finally, we have Florida representative Anna Paulina Luna heading up a handful of her GOPer colleagues who are pushing to award Trump the Congressional Gold Medal. Never mind that recent recipients include those who actually deserved the honor, like the Dalai Lama, the Tuskegee Airmen and the Apollo 11 astronauts. But then the narcissistic dimwit previously said he wanted to give himself the Congressional Medal of Honor and always wished he had a Purple Heart.

What can be done about this over-the-top plague of Trump idolatry? Probably not much. Hillary Clinton said last October, “Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.” But they would no doubt deny they're even in one.

How should the Liberals, star-struck worshippers of American political headliners, take this glory in? A visit from She has splintered that architectural wonder, the glass ceiling, with a thousand cracks. With an enthusiasm only moderately less — and this is a very high bar — than they would afford just two others. Hillary Clinton ranks very but two in the pantheon of Liberal/Democratic idols. There is Barack Obama. The living iconography of progressivism. Should Obama attend a Liberal convention in Ottawa, it is possible the Peace Tower (with Liberal engineers to facilitate) would bend in curtsy and genuflection. Imagine Obama with an easy smile, casually strolling across from one side of a stage, and Justin Trudeau, with a picture-window-full smile of his own, tripping eagerly from the other side (jacketless, with sleeves rolled up, Mr. Trudeau is always casual even when at work), and then both merging in a perfect bro-hug. There would be lattes (cinnamon flavored, please) lifted in toasts in every Starbucks east of Calgary. Every Liberal in the room would expire from sheer rhapsody. It would be a moment that Liberal chroniclers would declare the climax and end of Canadian history. Should the two of them go to the ByWard Market and share a beavertail, I am not sure — such would be the frenzy of Liberal delight — that CBC, CTV, Global, and other media handmaids would survive the moment. The other. Were Bill Clinton, under the allure of some ridiculous fee, to attend a Liberal conclave, meet, talk, and bond with Justin Trudeau, it is possible that it would halt global warming, end the war in Ukraine, determine the long-sought-after unified field theory, and boost the sales of Bud Light. Trudeau knows the words of Mr. Clinton’s song; he tries the low, soft voice in delivering it, but he can’t do it like Bill. No one can imitate a concerned man from Arkansas. But they, the Liberals, have landed Hillary. It is third-tier accommodation, but it’s third-tier American woke politics. Hillary couldn’t beat Donald Trump, a wild, undisciplined timer in electoral politics, even with the state apparatus, the support of the news media, a budget that would shame Croesus, and the backing of just about every major political force in the U.S. She was hailed by Obama, who himself had beaten her, as “the most prepared candidate” for president since the founding of the republic. And she lost to the scamp, the amateur, the much-derided Trump. The queen of failure in politics as a career does come to Ottawa with some utility for the present government. She could advise, for example, on what to do when a foundation in your family name becomes controversial. And how to stonewall — both Hillary and her husband have elevated the art of “stonewalling” to heights undreamed of, even in the darkest recesses of Richard Nixon’s mind. Friday will be a festival day for every Liberal in the land.
