Aaliyah attends the “Big Pimpin’ Party and Barbecue,” held in East Hampton. It was a weekend long BBQ celebration held by both PDiddy and Jay Z.
During one of her last interviews, with journalist Touré at Jay’s Hamptons mansion just two weeks before her untimely passing in August 2001, Aaliyah said this about her close friend:

There are two days left in the Smashwords sale, for anyone looking for cheap ebooks.
What do I have up there? Um, I put the first two Suitable books on sale for anyone curious about those.
