TIME FOR A SECOND SMG4 OC INTRODUCED!! Meet LSMG2 Aka Cole! I don’t have him before Lawsuit Arc, but we all know it’s just a re-color of Luigi. Anyways Lore time!(gasp)
Trigger Warning:BLOOD AND DEATH
Arc One/After Lawsuit Arc
This is Cole, another Luigi’s SMG and Lucia’s Guardian partner. Unlike the other three, he’s more serious and prefer not to be in some trouble every other day. Lucia and Cole have a sibling figure bond and Cole acts like a big brother to her. After Lawsuit Arc, he stays away from any chaotic stuff and tries to relax himself after basically dying and such. Though, not everything will go the way he wants with the whole ‘It’s Gonna Be Perfect’ thing with the castle being taken down by SMG4’s mistake.
He was PISSED at SMG4, blaming him for everything that happened and the destroyed castle, but he stopped himself from yelling and slapping him on the face. Despite his serious and sarcastic tone, he did helped Mario or ‘Marty’ with the Pizza Place along with Lucia and also accept Lucia of being a trans female. He finally started to feel in peace and relaxation after working and finally have the new castle rebuild..BEFORE he was dragged and join the crew to the Wild West.
After Western Movie, Cole, again, getting pissed at Meggy for dragging them into a traumatized situation, and this time, he yelled at Meggy for being so reckless and so stupid and ended up having a fist fight with her til Lucia and Tari break it up and Cole just stays at the Mario Brothers’ house. During the new castle times, Cole wanted to plane a way to kill Mario and stop this chaotic world he’s in.
Arc Two/WOTFI ‘23 and Aftermath
Art, SMG-K(mentioned), and Shared Idea by @echostarsys
During his planning, he was having trouble of HOW to kill Mario…or at least get a reasonable closer to him without giving away. He soon see how SMG4 and SMG3 fight about SMG3’s notebook and noticed Mario being all questionable lately. Cole mark his chance and get closer to Mario, asking him what’s been going on. After getting Mario to speak, Cole learned that he’s playing to get Smg3’s notebook and steal the pizza recipe. At first, Cole actually thought Mario was insane when he heard it was Marty’s idea, but once Cole got to actually see Marty(after the pizza work) and surprise to hear him talk..he plans to get close to Mario by Marty and then stabs him in the back once the plan is done. Though, he knew it’s risky for anyone to know, so he hide behind a red cloak and tricked Mario into thinking it’s a stranger that wanna helped Marty and Mario with the plan.
During WOTFI, Four, Three, Lucia, and SMG-K went to the casino to get the notebook back, but K got split up from the other SMGs while being chased by Chris and Swag. During that time, K went through the casino and see Marty alone with a strange red cloak figure. K couldn’t do anything, before Cole pull out a gun and shoot K in one of her arms, before he rush and use his dagger to cut part of her left ear off. Cole was manage to injured her tail and slice her face, making her half blind with two hits of his dagger.
Before he could finish her, K use her cat claws to attack him which really fucked his face up, giving him the same scars and losing one of his eyesight and such. Fortunately, Cole turns away from her face to cover his face and not reveal himself and barely escaped with his life. Once he escaped and left the casino, he could barely feel his face and had to bandage his face up by himself. By the time that he’s finish bandaged himself, Mario and Marty were in jail and Three got his notebook back. He went to check on the three SMGs, but not see K anywhere..he didn’t care anyways, that was the least of his problems.
For the few days, he stayed away from the crew..he couldn’t let anyone find out about what happen..course, this worries Lucia, but Cole just bush it off, saying that he just have a small cold and just need time alone. Once the scars are healed enough, Cole came back to hang out with the group and tries to plan another way to kill Mario, but the other problem was that no one will stop asking him what happened and how he got the scars, Especially SMG4 and Lucia, which he always avoid and act like it’s personal to him. It took a while for him to get used to being half blinded, but after a while, he got used to it and learned how to still fight and all with being half-blind. After sometime, he begin to tries to plan again to kill Mario..but he had no idea…yes, he knew the world was gonna die, but if that means he can be in peace for once..so be it.
It wasn’t until after The PuzzleVision Movie that he remember Marty existed. He hate Mr Puzzles, but he got to admit..he glad he was there to remind him of WOTFI ‘23. Whenever he’s not with the group, he would visit Marty in prison and plans revenge against Mario for leaving him in prison. Course, Cole didn’t had money to bail him out…so as anyone would, he grabbed his old red cloak and break into prison with his gun and dagger to break Marty out of prison. Soon they both plan a revenge on Mario and kill Mario for good.
Arc 3/Betrayal Arc
After a long time of working and planning, they finally made a cult that makes poison spaghetti sauce. Cole was FINALLY gonna have Mario killed…but there was a problem…he knew Mario been poison a lot…he knew he need a plan…a MURDER plan…so he pretend to be a cop and told someone that a terrorist escape and purposely send Mario to the cult with a spaghetti poster to trick everyone.
Once he got to the cult, he acts normal and rush in to see Karen tackled Mario down and acts like he heard chaos nearby and ask what’s up. When Karen found out about the poison, Cole was dragged by SMG4 to Karen’s house where they see K with the kids and..with Marty..which kinda shocked Four, because he haven’t seen K since WOTFI. Before he could do anything, K and Cole make eye contact for a hot second..before K realized..HE was the cloak figure from WOTFI. When SMG4 realized of them having similar scars..he looks shock and surprise, before Cole grabs his dagger, but Mario quickly kick Cole to the ground.
Cole would just laugh and explain that it’s all part of his plan to end Mario and finally have some peace, even if it means killing his avatar’s brother. However, The crew defeated them and Marty and Cole escaped and that when Cole changed his outfit. His next plan was to try to get Lucia to his side and get more information of Karen and K, so he breaks into the castle and breaks into Lucia’s room when everyone is sleeping…only to have a gunpoint at him by Lucia.
Four told Lucia about everything…how much he was a traitor…how much he planned to kill Mario. Cole tries to explain his actions to just to ‘have some peace’, but Lucia didn’t want to hear it. She TRUSTED him..like a brother she had…to only wanted to kill the only avatar that could kill the universe by just dying. She just yells at him..saying that she trusted him and loved him like a big brother she ever had..but now she hate him and just…couldn’t let him do his killing.
With a moment of hesitation, Cole grabs the gun and twisted Lucia’s arm, before he slam her to the ground. “I’m sorry….but you’re in my way…..” that line…that single line…made a difference…before a shot to a head happened..he tried to get her to listen…he tried to reason with her…but nothing will be enough for him, will it?….After the final blow, Cole flee the castle, before anyone walked into the room and see his former sister’s bloody body.
FINALLY!! This took me whole day! I really hope you enjoy this lore and thanks for @echostarsys for the collaboration and shared idea with Cole and their upcoming OC, SMG-K. If you have any questions, please be free to ask. Have a good day
If you don’t remember Lucia, this is Lucia.

i'm insane. rubber rats and such. here's my thoughts on who the reds and blues would main in tf2 vs whose place they would take in a potential au. spoiler: they ARE different. and also i'm not making the au, but if you wanna do it feel free to use this as a guideline.
disclaimer: i'm a walking tf2 encyclopedia... for the lore and comics. i HAVE played it of course, but i'm by no means an expert on strategy and such, so contesting my knowledge on that end is more than welcome.
RED TEAM
Grif
Main: jumps around a bit, but always comes back to heavy because he's got high health and decent damage rates. mostly follows simmons around because no one wants to fuck with the battle medic. that being said, he CAN hold his own (he's actually REALLY good at the game) and watches simmons' back like a hawk. and his other teammates' too i guess (silly).
Place: heavy. big dude, cares for his family, wouldn't be doing this in an ideal world. also he deserves a big gun. RIP the grifshot.
Simmons
Main: as mentioned, he'd be a battle medic, and a fucking TERRIFYING one at that. definitely puts a lot of time into it, and it absolutely pays off. has one of the best k/d ratios purely because he's just fucking going for it. it looks like luck but every second is strategized to an embarrassing degree. this makes him feel powerful. god forbid someone kill grif, because he'll hunt them down for the rest of the match.
Place: medic. he deserves to be unhinged. we've all seen how he is on the warthog turret.
Sarge
Main: soldier. he's got rocket jumping down to a perfect science. he is defying gravity. he has discovered some sort of secret technique to perfectly optimize speed and distance while minimizing damage. he will never tell anyone what it is and he will show it off at any chance for the rest of time. thus, he never fucking plays any other class.
Place: soldier. there is nothing to be said that hasn't been said already.
Donut
Main: this one's tough actually. i think he'd flip between pyro, demo, scout, and soldier. he likes the fast-paced gameplay, and is pretty decent at all of them.
Place: scout! he's got a hell of a throwing arm! i'd be willing to bet he was in little league as a kid. i could have better reasoning but i had to switch him when i switched tucker.
Lopez
Main: engineer. it's familiar, trying to keep things fixed and running while a bunch of idiots run around and fuck things up. can often be seen rancho relaxing next to at least 2 fully-upgraded sentries like 30 seconds into the match.
Place: engineer. same reasons, same play style.
BLUE TEAM
Church
Main: good god, he tries to main sniper, but he's so fucking bad at it. gets backstabbed all the fucking time. he's too stubborn to stop. to his credit, though, he's pretty damn good with the melee and smg.
Place: sniper. again, he's not GOOD at sniping, but he's good enough with the subweapons that he qualifies.
Tucker
Main: probably scout. he likes being fast and annoying. it's not really that deep LMAO. i think he plays like me: running directly into the line of fire and just trying to hit as many people as possible before dying. a tried and true strategy. unfortunately, as such, his k/d ratio is impressively terrible.
Place: demoman. initially i wanted to place him as scout, but then i thought about eyelander and the energy sword and it won me over because i love eyelander. i think he'd try to demoknight and be really bad at it GHSJASKHGSA.
Caboose
Main: listen to me. you can put him in any class and he'll kick fucking ass. he has every perfect strategy mapped to muscle memory or something. he's a fucking enigma. no one can beat him. if caboose is on your team, you are almost guaranteed a win.
Place: pyro. it's the whimsy.
Kai
Main: i think she'd main spy purely so she can cloak and watch everyone else run around like idiots. occasionally she gets a kill in, but that's mostly when they stumble close enough to her. she can be very efficient when she wants to be, but mostly she's here for the drama. she has a screenshot folder of grif and simmons doing gay shit. it's... massive.
Place: spy. she gets to serve cunt, be bisexual, and kill people. what more could a girl want???
MISC
Disclaimer: Locus and Felix do not have a place to take due to a lack of main-enough characters. Sorry!
Wash
Main: look at me. i think wash is exceptionally bad at most of the classes. he does his best, but they just escape him. he's pretty good with pyro, but he sees pyro as overly easy with little challenge (no offense to caboose). against all odds, i think he's best at engineer, and surprisingly good at it! usually he follows lopez around (because lopez knows what he's doing), but about half the time he'll be on his own and tentatively killing it.
Place: ms pauling. in season 10, he mostly follows carolina around, dragging the reds and blues with him and following the majority of her orders. remind you of someone?
Carolina
Main: also tends to jump around, but prefers support classes. she'll join whichever team she thinks needs the most support at the time. half the time she'll be on the sidelines, cloaked and watching her idiots fuck around.
Place: the administrator! she's the most properly take-charge of all of them. i'd imagine she inherited the position from the director.
Doc
Main: medic, what did you expect? he's surprisingly good at offense, but prefers to stick to healing. in the event of an o'malley switch, he battle medics. he's not good at it.
Place: merasmus. he deserves wizard powers.
Locus
Main: spy. suits his style PERFECTLY. will occasionally play sniper if needed. absolutely cracked at both even though he says he doesn't play video games (this is a lie).
Felix
Main: he doesn't play tf2 because he thinks the people who play it are annoying nerds. this being said: probably either scout or sniper. scout when he feels like being an asshole, sniper when he feels like actually being efficient. either way he gets to show off.

The Grid
Finally came up with stuff for that shadowy "Real World" organization that orchestrated Tari's abduction that one time and currently has a Character-level Program agent in the Mushroom Kingdom.
So the Grid is actually a very recently created organization, who somehow (I do actually know how this time but it's spoilers for a storyline I want to do at some point) found out about the "multiverse" of living programs within the internet, and Glitch Productions' involvement with it. They've seen the writing on the wall and realized that with how quickly things are progressing there's no way the veil of secrecy can be maintained forever, and want their foot in the door before that happens so that GP aren't the only ones with a head start.
To that end, they've been trying to create living Programs of their own. Now, Code Beings are relatively simple to make as long as you understand how programming works, but Character-level Programs are far more difficult to bring to life, especially on purpose. In fact, while the sheer volume of games and other media on the internet means there's likely at least one living copy of just about anything, the vast majority of games really are Just Games, rather than fully realized universes.
By studying Tari, they figured out the secret: creativity and passion. In order to purposely bring a program to life, its creator has to pour their heart and soul into their work, putting a bit of themselves into the very core of their character, and it has to be sincere, with the creative process itself taking priority over whatever Intended Purpose you may have for the end result. This is harder for a character-level program because their Intended Purpose is so intrinsically tied to their identity that the gap is much smaller. That's also a big part of why every set of SMGs needs one or two specifically dedicated Admins.
Speaking of SMGs, as far as most of the organization is aware their ultimate goal is to create their own version of the SMG program, since so far the Adminspace Admins, and by extension Glitch Productions, have something of a monopoly on the concept simply due to nobody else (besides Susie but that was a complicated situation) seriously throwing their hat in the ring.
Getting into some actual characters;
The organization's leader is the mysterious Director K. They're an absolute mystery to even their subordinates, going to great lengths to hide their appearance and mask their voice, and seem to have some sort of history with Glitch Productions.
Then there's their first Character-Level agent, Magnolia Astra. She's cold, calculating, composed, surprisingly charismatic when it's needed, and probably a few other "C words" you'd associate with a secret agent masquerading as a businesswoman. Her current mission is to give the Grid a foothold in the Mushroom Kingdom, both economically and through positive relations with certain highly influential characters (Jeeves for example), as well as acquire copies of the Haltman Works Co.'s files on the triplets' creation, since those are probably the most complete documentation of how to create and deploy an SMG Mod Package outside of Adminspace itself, and the Grid's not stupid enough to infiltrate that place with their current somewhat limited resources.
There's also Astra's handler/creator/partner/guy-in-the-chair/"word around the office is there's something going on between them" Agent Zed. Zed was chosen for this assignment due to his skill as an artist and programmer rather than as an agent, so he's honestly just a normal, kind of nerdy guy.
#smg4#smg4 ocs#the grid#au lore#oc lore#the hacker arc#the racing arc#smg4 tari#glitch productions#director k#magnolia astra#agent astra#agent zed#susie haltmann#smg4 jeeves#specifically it was founded shortly after the irl arc#but (obviously) before the hacker arc#while astra is their first character level agent they do already have several code being agents

OpTic Texas Continue Elimination Bracket Run, One Step Closer to Sunday With Win
OpTic Texas continued their run through the loser’s bracket at the Call of Duty League’s OpTic Texas Major, eliminating the Florida Mutineers by a count of 3-1. After starting their tournament with a demoralizing 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Boston Breach, OpTic have rattled off two matches in a row to put themselves just one win from earning a trip to championship Sunday. The series started with Hydro Hardpoint, a map with multiple water lanes that can make for a tricky matchup. But Texas started strong, and the map never got that close in their 250-204 victory to take the 1-0 lead. The SMG duo of Shottzy and Huke delivered in a big way, leading the slaying in the lobby with the two combining for 57 kills to just 39 deaths. https://twitter.com/OpTicTexas/status/1634632097624121346 After the OpTic victory, the series headed to Hotel for Search and Destroy. This was the first time Texas have played this map-mode combination all season, but they played like it was their best map. This time it was Dashy leading the charge, as the superstar AR player dropped eight kills to only four deaths while dealing 998 worth of damage in the nine-round map. A day after dropping behind to the London Royal Ravens by a count of 2-1, OpTic looked determined to start strong and take a commanding lead against Florida. After two straight matches that included Fortress Control, which saw Texas go 0-2, OpTic decided to switch gears and try their luck on Hotel Control. Things got off to a great start for the Green Wall, as they won the first two rounds to take a 2-0 lead. https://twitter.com/OpTic/status/1634636293836619778 But Florida started to mount a comeback, which included two wins from the less-desired attacking side. Despite getting outslayed by 14 kills on the map, the Mutineers managed to get the job done, winning an offensive round five to stave off elimination for at least one more game. But OpTic were ready for the Mercado Hardpoint. Just a day after coming back from a 100-plus point deficit to send it to a game five against London, there were no heroics needed from Texas. They were clinical in their rotations, outgunned Florida by 16 kills, and dominated the scoreboard to the tune of 250-117. Huke and Ghosty were massive in the kills department for Optic, posting 1.53 and 1.43 K/Ds in the map, respectively. After a rough start in their first match, it appears that OpTic and their new-look roster have started to find their groove. While this current lineup have played together in five league matches, this weekend was their first time playing on LAN together. The road forward won’t get any easier for them, though: the Green Wall will face off with the loser of today’s Seattle Surge vs. Atlanta FaZe matchup. OpTic will play following the two winner’s bracket matches today, with their match scheduled for 5pm CST. Read the full article

Property of Rachel Elliot Hale, Entry 2
Well, uh. Hmm. How do I put this? You ever know for sure something is bad, so you mentally prepare yourself for the worst? And then, of course, not only is it not as bad as you thought it could be, it turns out it’s significantly worse in literally every possible regard?
Log0002.UMF File created, 04/19/2108, 3:11:18 PM
I do not find many things particularly foreboding when it comes to guns being left around, but, I definitely do not like the sight of a 12 gauge double barrel shotgun and its shells scattered in front of me when I step into the room.
No blood, or body anywhere, though. Surely no one is just...leaving these guns around right? I pick it up and take a look, particularly inside the chambers to find they're empty, save for a piece of paper inside! I unroll it and...
It's just a slip in big green letters that says "Fuck you."
That's real cute. Sure as hell wasn't a Blank who wrote this given that they can barely follow verbal commands, let alone read.
What's the deal with the shells all the way on the other side of the room, too? Someone must've been camping out here. But...Why wasn't there a body, then? They're spent, too. But there's no blood. Whatever. I throw the shotgun aside after yanking the shells out the saddle and chamber, and open the doors to find several bodies strung about.
Lots of blood and giblets just haplessly flung around. The angle would imply they were shot at from that spot in the room I just came out of, and getting closer, I see a lot of droplets that'd imply some of the blanks were walking before tripping over their wounds and just dying. Nasty shit, really.
...But this guy. He's just standing there, looking at that door with a marine corpse next to him. The blank does what they do best, which is shoot vaguely in my direction, so I just shoot him down and move to look at that marine's body.
I'm able to remove their combat armor, but I leave them on their stomach after I see the state their helmet, and the head inside are in. Eugh. The vest has some patches, and a nametag on it, but it's no one I particularly recognize. Dunno who the hell a "Cayde" is, but I'm curious about the RCPA tag on the shoulders. I'll probably get riddled to hell with bullets if anyone catches me wearing this, but...
I pick it up and strap it on, tightening it to fit my frame. I may not be some ripped jarhead marine, but I'm happy to be at least large enough to fit into it without it flapping around everywhere. Of course, that suit isn't all kevlar and plates, it's also got plenty of sensors, wound stabilization tech, and an even brighter flashlight than the one I've been taping to my shoulder.
Sure as hell is awfully red though. Oh well. I walk over to the door, stepping over the bodies, and hit that switch. If I'm gonna find out what the hell happened here, it'll have to be deeper inside.
AND OH GOD, WHAT A MISTAKE THAT WAS.
TELEPORTATION!? WHAT THE FUCK?
I see flashes of green light, and hear that telltale, horrid crackling as a blank, covered from head to toe in marine gear and wielding a heavy machine gun starts spraying bullets at me!
The other guy who teleported with him, as standard for AGM's teleportation...Didn't exactly make it in one piece. More like, uh. Ten pieces. But the guy next to him's the real threat, so I quickly dive to the right and grab my SMG off my belt, and just unload it around the corner!
15 or so rounds later and he's down. I get closer and find his arms, legs, and collarbone are entirely uncovered. Why the hell would they give a blank armor like this, and leave it so uncovered? And besides, look at that SWEET H&K 21!
I mean, TECHNICALLY like all of our guns they're AGM manufactured, but like, AGM and the UAC own everything. Even the rights to H&K's designs. Even H&K! But that begs the question, why the hell did they remake the H&K 21 to use 4.26 of all things? Whatever, I'm getting distracted!d
Good god, this thing's HEAVY. Too heavy for me to lift with this armor, and these two guns. But, the rounds per minute! Ugh. I just toss it aside very begrudgingly. I can still remember the touch of its grip against my hands...Farewell, my fleetingly known friend. I will come back for youuu!~
I shoot another blank that's around the corner, and pull some pistol magazines and a stimpak of it's body.
I really, really hate these stimpaks, to be honest. Always gave me the most horrid chest pains, but they do kick your ass into gear when you need it. I just hope to god I don't at any point. I'll take my chances with whatever's in my way.
Wow, horrible timing.
Soon as I round that corner? Blank's waitin' for me, and he lets out 4 bursts in my direction.
Now, between you and me.
I know I was right behind the corner in cover and all, but like, come on. Why the hell would it shoot at a wall like this? There's a solid foot of concrete here!
Whatever. I take him down, and spot a key on his chest. Big ol' computer chip with glowing bits.
Wait. No. No no, that's not right. Those are only given out to like, humans, and I only know that we specifically put these keycard systems in place after three blanks had a huge fight after mindlessly shambling into a research server room, and damn near melted the whole place.
They even ruined my cable management! I did that! Me! It took my time and effort and they fucked it all up!!
God I hate blanks. So god damn much.
I take his key and hold it up to my PDA.
(Post 1 of howevermany. This image limit is really making this annoying!)

Krampus Wetworks
More random conceptualization that's kept me awake last night. Blah blah blah, below the cut.
Santa Claus is a figure that's gracefully mutated throughout time and that's splintered off into a dozen different interpretations and roles, depending on the local culture and traditions. The fat man with a bowlful of jelly might've supplanted Saint Nicholas of Nursia, the main concepts still apply. You're a good person, ergo an Eidolon of Goodness visits you illicitly and rewards you for being a morally-defensible person.
In the past, however, and more notably in some Germanic cultures, naughty kids would also receive particular visits. The usual doctrine states that the Krampus stuffs you in his bag and steals you away to Hell, but modern technology's made the act of vanishing kids on a serial basis a difficult act to maintain. If Santa Claus gets some leeway for his reverse Grand Larceny acts, then it follows that the Christmas Demon would need to rethink his M.O. in order to remain relevant and to maintain the North Pole's supernatural barriers...
Our narrator doesn't remember much of his childhood. What he does remember is a mixture of biting cold and greenhouse warmth, of growing older while in a strange society where your main educator will eventually become your employer - a bit like the Cyberpunk concept of the Company Lifer. The main difference, here, is that what began as a weird demon not really knowing what to do with his gaggle of spoiled brats was altered over the centuries to meet new needs and requirements.
In the early decades of the 21st Century, the Krampus doesn't get out much. He's changed, instead looking and acting like the head of a PMC or risk-consultation firm, knowing that children don't really deserve the brunt of his ire, anymore. Whipping kids with twigs and stuffing them in a basket does nothing for those who remain, and it's a massive risk in a day and age of helicopter parents sticking RFID tags on their kids' backpacks and clothing. The Big Guy couldn't work his shifts if his methods ever broke out of trade secrecy, so sacrifices had to be made.
The narrator thinks he's just part of some sort of risk-assessment and management team. He's grown up learning six languages, picking up CQC and interrogation techniques. There isn't a rifle, musket, Bullpup, pistol or SMG he can't handle, not one psyche he can't crack. He's infiltrated the East India Company, Capone's syndicate, Enron's board of directors and even prepared casework on Theranos and Liz Holmes. He's toppled dictators from within and killed a few from without.
Hitler's suicide? That's a company cover-up. One of the narrator's best buds infiltrated the bunker's staff and used designer narcotics (also known as a magic poison sourced from the Boss) and then planted a stash of cyanide pills on-site.
Time flows differently, in-between Santa's Workshop and the Wetworks compound. For our guy, the last few centuries have been two or three active decades in-service. There's an in-compound bar, there's training and rec facilities - everyone knows everyone - and most of everyone hasn't noticed how different the boss has been feeling, lately.
The narrator remembers his first few years, Mr. K. being barely clothed and looking annoyed at Santa's insistence that he had to stop taking unruly kids straight to Hell. They were all bad apples, sure - but education has its worth, doesn't it?
From a schoolteacher, Mr. K's turned into a mildly paunchy and suspender-wearing executive, with cigars on Fridays and company messages broadcast throughout the facility at regular intervals. Things used to be about making a difference, putting a dent in the world's evils and honestly confronting them, but a few other agents have noted how the Boss has grown attached to his trappings of luxury and how permissive he's become, in regards to certain slip-ups. It used to be that failure meant either fifteen lashes in the early days or a public humiliation by the nineteen-hundreds, but he's gone well past simply going soft. Some of the Elves that have been working with him since the beginning are starting to line their pockets, and are using their increased contacts with the mortal world to grow attached to fleeting concepts Santa Claus himself would've warned them about.
There's just one problem: the Narrator is one of the Krampus' favorites, someone he regularly praises and invites for dinner. Their relationship is practically that of father and son, and the Demon himself is the first to note how far they've come from their childhood days as a fresh capture still filled with bad habits. The Narrator feels he owes his moral rectitude, maturity and even-temperedness to his boss, and the floating rumours only increase his pervading sense of unease and his worry of potentially losing his father figure and mentor's trust.
Then, progressively, the scales fall from the Narrator's eyes. The corruption of the Wetworks' Board of Directors is laid bare, the concept of Elves running an insider trading ring horrifies them, and the Krampus' waning quality standards go from concerning to stomach-churning within a few days.
The Narrator was never on Santa Claus' Naughty List. The Krampus has been forging his 'Talent Acquisition' orders out of whole cloth for the past two hundred years.
Now the question remains if they can bring this truth to light in front of the Clauses before financially-motivated Elves and a few hundred trained killers get to them...

The Conclusion of Ivy & Chrome for Shadowrun (1st Edition)
The last section. The runners have tracked Fayette and Nick to the Shoalwater Tribal Community in North Cove, where they also meet Marti Vann – their Mr. Johnson.
“If Marti can help it, she will not reveal to the runners that it was she behind the Diana persona.”
Uhh… how is that supposed to work?
The team was hired to find Fayette and… they did. End of job. If they are not aware that Marti is their employer, they should immediately bundle up Fayette and take her back to Seattle to arrange a drop off to “Diana”. At which point, Marti would have to reveal her real identity as to not pick a fight with the, most assuredly, heavily armed shadowrunners, especially when she knows Aztechnology is on their way.
The players would be perfectly within their rights to demand payment – even if they themselves did not physically deliver Fayette to Marti, they did the work for which they were contracted and, indeed, Fayette is alive and in the custody of Marti.
Pay up.
Of course, to get the full Karma reward for this adventure, they instead must do the Right Thing and help protect Fayette from Anton and his Aztech stooges on their way to the reservation. If anything, they should negotiate with Marti for more pay since this kind of thing is outside the bounds of their initial contract.
Either way – they can’t leave without running into the hit squad, so get some condition monitors ready.
And bust out some minis.
The Opposition
The Big Baddies (Dr. Arhill, Anton d’Venescu, Hortense, Farnwell) along with 4 Aztechnology “Senior Technicians”
The junior technicians aren’t given bullets.
They all have Armor Clothing, Ares Viper Sliverguns (silenced), HK 227 SMGs (silenced), six grenades (2 offensive, 2 neuro-stun, 2 smoke), and, oh yeah, Spell Locked Invisibility spells.
Clearly heavy armor of some sort, and not just armor clothing.
For backup, they have two Hughes WK-2 Stallion (Military Variant) helicopters with twin rigger-controlled chin-mounted LMGs and a single side-mount 6-pack High Explosive Missile rack.
Each of the Stallion carries ten Ork Mercenaries. There are two Stallions, so…
The Good Guys
That’s some pretty stiff opposition.
It’s a good thing you have…
Marti, Fayette, and Nick, of whom, only Nick the Ganger has any real combat skills.
But it takes a village! And surely they are willing to stand up and fight for their community! There’s…
Marietta – “Sorry, I see your position. But I think this is an issue where we have to consider the rights of the community, too.”
Uh… maybe they’ll get more support from…
Arden – “Elves handle their own problems, thank you very much.”
And even if the runners manage to convince enough of the population of the impending danger, they’ll have to deal with…
Fantine – “I just don’t think that’s right?”
Why is that Fantine?
“It just doesn’t seem like a good idea.”
Maybe she’s onto something. After all, this is the weaponry that the village can bust out to repel the incoming militant corporate invasion:
I mean, Damage Code 5S2, so you have a chance to do some damage with those 5 rounds before you need to manually reload the magazine.
You have to keep animals out of the garden, you see, so they have 1 GUN.
Okay, okay, so it’s not really that bad.
They also have three laser-guided anti-vehicle missiles.
Also for keeping animals out of the garden.
The village also contains a former Corp Rigger named Jac who joined the village after his panzer crashed not too far away from Shoalwater. Likely causing him to lose the “k” from his name.
The panzer can’t be salvaged (and none can any of its machine guns and autocannons, natch), but the three missiles and two launchers can.
So the team has the odds stacked against them, but a good GM can make this a thrilling, A-Team style finale.

OC-tober: Day 4 - Ambush
@oc-growth-and-development
“Oh we’re dead.”
“Sh.”
“Oh we’re so SO dead...”
“Tim...!” Kelley chided quietly as they checked how much ammo was left in their pistol. 10 shots. Not much, and definitely not enough to take out all of the DAHL soldiers patroling the Hub up ahead.
It was just the two of them, separated from their team. The gears in Kelley’s head turned, while Tim’s gears may as well have busted out of the side of his head. He was too green, still too new to even know how to handle a situation like this.
Kelley placed a hand on Tim’s shoulder to make sure he stayed behind the crates they were both using as cover and peeked over the edge.
5...10...13...
Kelley ducked behind the crates before they were seen, while Tim muttered to himself again about their imminent demise.
Kelley tightened their grip on Tim’s shoulder and gave him a small shake, “...ok. So I saw about 13 of them out there...” Kelley felt Tim tense beneath their grip, and they leaned in closer in an attempt to keep him calm, “I need you to stay calm and listen to me, k? You’re gonna be alright. Nothin’s gonna happen to you.”
Tim took in a deep breath and nodded, “okay...okay...what are you thinking...?” Kelley glanced over the crates again before they ducked back down, “well, like I said, there’s about 13 of them right?” Tim’s face still paled as he heard Kelley mention the sheer number of soldiers that neither of them could probably take down on their own—
“If there’s one thing living on Pandora has taught me, its that for every enemy ya see, you should assume that there is another that ya can’t see.”
“Hey Kell?”
“Yeah?”
“Gettin’ real hard to stay calm.”
Kelley checked the ammo in their pistol again, still 10 shots, no magically appearing bullets here, “Look, what I need to know is how much range do the Digi-Jacks have?”
Tim looked at the fake wristwatch, as if that would somehow make number come to him. Kelley gave Tim a reassuring look, “If ya don’t know, just ball park it.” Somehow that made Tim feel even more useless, he rubbed his temples as he whispered back to them, “I don’t know, l mean, it’s pretty far...I’ve seen them shoot across entire rooms before.”
“How long would you say they last?”
“Uh...about a minute...? Minute and a half maybe...?”
“And they have to stay within about 6 feet of you right? If you move too far then they have to reform?”
“Yeah, that sounds right.”
Kelley nodded, “okay. So here’s the plan. I’m gonna jump out there and be a big giant distraction, shoot off what I can out of this gun, and after that I’m gonna try to get up close and personal with these guys.”
Kelley pounded their fists together, as if the point they just made needed even more emphasis, “and what you’re gonna do is move forward, still ducking behind what you can while I move up. And when I say “hit it”, you’re gonna activate the Digi-Jacks, giving us some cover fire.”
Tim didn’t look any more certain, and his hands shook as he checked how much ammo was left in his smg, “are two people really enough for an ambush?” A full clip, but in a smg it wouldn’t last long.
Kelley put a hand on top of one of the crates, readying themself to leap over it, “Dunno. But it’s either that or sit here and wait until they find us.”
“Okay, but—”
Kelley vaulted over the crates before they hear the rest of what Tim was saying, “hey, helmet heads! OVER HERE!”

If anyone’s still here, I have this sheet of Smash Bros styled alt costumes for some of my characters.
Mr. Morris: The main star of the show, being present since the S64 era, and changing over the years to reflect my interests. He is associated with the M6D Pistol, M7 Caseless SMG, and H&K MP5. 1: Since blue is my favorite color, I thought it'd be appropriate to have it as his default outfit color. 2: He wears the colors of his national flag, complete with maple leaf. 3: He wears his outfit with a CADPAT camo pattern, used by the Canadian Army. 4: His outfit is a tan color, based on flat desert camo. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: His armor is gold plated, which is an idea I have for a side-scrolling platformer which he will be playable. 7: Based on an outfit he had during the Gaia Online Prom. 8: Based on a winter themed outfit he has from Gaia Online.
Vanessa: She's been around from at least, as far as I'm concerned, the Era of the 7 Power Stones, with origins stemming from some MTV Cribs style show. 1: The colors and outfit I imagined that she would wear by default. 2: Borrows some colors from Usagi Tsukino. 3: Borrows some colors from Ami Mizuno. 4: Borrows some colors from Rei Hino. 5: Borrows some colors from Makoto Kino. 6: Borrows some colors from Minako Aino. 7: Borrows some colors from Queen Serenity. 8: She wears a Mario-esque outfit originally designated to Mr. Morris. The hat has a V in the white circle.
Mikey: He hit the scene during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the M19 SSM Rocket Launcher. 1: A color often seen on Chevrolet Corvettes, his favorite car. Also based on the maroon armor color from Halo Multiplayer. 2: A color swap with Mark, and also based around the orange armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Grif from RvB. 3: An olive green color associated with Spartan 117. 4: Based around the cobalt armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Church from RvB. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: He wears an outfit similar to Eric Cartman from South Park. 7: He wears an outfit similar to Kyle Broflovski from South Park. 8: He wears the colors of the US Flag.
Mark: He debut during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the MA5B Assault Rifle, and was once called Stinker. 1: A color sometimes seen on Dodge Challengers, one of his favorite cars. Also based on Halo's orange color in Multiplayer. 2: A color swap with Mikey, and also based around the maroon armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Simmons from RvB 3: Based on the Blue Team color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Caboose from RvB. 4: Based on the Teal armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Tucker from RvB. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: He wears pants similar to Patrick Star from Spongebob, with a matching pink shirt. 7: He wears an outfit similar to Stan Marsh from South Park. 8: He wears the colors of the US Flag.
Reiner: He was added to the cast during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the M90 Shotgun, and later became a medic thanks to Team Fortress 2. 1: His color is based on scrubs worn by surgeons. 2: His color is based on scrubs worn by doctors. 3: His color is based on scrubs worn by nurses. 4: He wears a lab coat with pants that are the same color as the Medic's pants from TF2. 5: Based on the "Unlicensed Doctor" alt costume for Dr. Mario in Super Smash Bros. 6: His armor is on full display, with a lighter color to indicate his role. 7: Based on the purple armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Doc from RvB. 8: An army-style uniform, with ribbons arranged to look like the German flag.
Joe: The big man who joined during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the SRS99C-S2 AM Sniper Rifle. 1: No real basis, aside from the common color associated with the Wild West. 2: Based on the Red Team color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Sarge from RvB. 3: Based on the flat Navy camo from Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. 4: Based somewhat on outfits worn by UNSC troops from Halo 2. 5: Based on Wild West outlaws, which was his initial base design. 6: Based on a tuxedo seen during weddings. 7: He wears the colors of the US Flag, mainly on his hat. 8: Based on Waluigi from the Mario universe.

Kaori/Karin: She hopped on the bandwaggon of the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era, and might just be the most litigious character here. 1: Her current design, which is also seen in a commission by wyrmskin. 2: Based on a gym uniform worn in Japanese high schools, one of her common outfits. 3: Based on an outfit during a summer break episode from Azumanga. 4: Based on an outfit during a new years episode from Azumanga. 5: Based on an outfit during a field trip episode from Azumanga, but with a red shirt to keep with the team colors theme. 6: Based on her pajamas from the same new years episode. 7: Based on a design made by @geibuchan based on a dream he had. 8: Based on her initial outfit before the rework and restructure of the universe.
Sprites by Gonzo233, FRAG, Foxx and myself.

This is quickly shaping up to be as anticlimactic as Smallvilles wrap up of Doomsday lol. Im hoping that the black kryptonite separates Sam from Reign and that she isnt just straight up defeated in the opening scene of this ep because that would be so dumb. Reign should still be a part of the final battle even if she isnt the main big bad apparently. Im still confused though because even if the kryptonite separates them, Reign would still be an issue? Yet i guess its not cuz Kara leaves lol
SCREAM dont even speak that into existence i’ll have an aneurysm.................... also technically they are not using black K (or at least not black K in its canon sense) but smg that reverses the process of becoming a WK so they wouldn’t end up w Reign and Sam split into two, just turning back Sam into her normal self. i’d guess they sort of take out/stabilize Reign so Kara leaves w the knowledge that she is in the process of being cured?

The Meme Regulation Unit Program
(So the Wonder Arc's obviously going to take a while to finish, especially since I'm insisting on the "fics and pics" format I've got going on, so I'm gonna just do my more traditional summary format stuff on the side so I don't lose the ideas over time.)
Anyway, this post is to explain the differences between the SMG Program we're familiar with and the version The Grid plans to create.
Frist off, they're using different terminology. Partially for organizational purposes, partially because the Meme Cycle needs Teh Funni to reach an IRL audience to work properly and the Grid doesn't want to look like they're just blatantly ripping Glitch Productions off because it'll drive away said audience.
Super Meme Guardian: Meme Regulation Unit (MRU)
Avatar: Anchor
Admin/USB: Supervisor
Guardian Pod: Data Chamber (it also has a significantly different design, but is still based on a USB Flash Drive since That's What Works)
There's also a few other changes:
Because the MRU Program isn't starting from scratch like the SMG Program did, they didn't need negative number prototypes and won't make the mistake of only deploying one Unit to a selected universe. As a consequence, the first MRU pair is MRU0 and MRU1, and the Odd/Even dynamic is completely flipped.
Because The Grid is primarily IRL-based, the Supervisor is created alongside their MRUs by an OC Design Agent, rather than being the one to make them. This doesn't change their role, but it does in some ways change the dynamic.
Because the Avatars almost all being or wearing red is just an aesthetic thing, The Grid decided not to bother with a similar trend so they'd have more options available.
Since they're playing catchup with the SMGs, after the initial test universe with 0 and 1, the other MRU universes will be activated periodically in batches of 4. They're not doing more than that at once because that would present an excessive workload and would make it too easy for some major problem to slip under the radar.
For reasons known only to himself Director K is weirdly adamant that either Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom be the first Universe to go online. On one hand this is causing a bit of delay because do you have any idea how long and tedious it is to 100% complete either of those games!? On the other hand this gives them more time to polish and fine-tune the MRU Mod, and the modding scene for both games is big enough that the process is already somewhat streamlined.
Granted, all of this relies on whether or not their newest recruit is as good a thief as Agent Astra believes she's going to be.

LA Thieves Preach Confidence After Sweeping Toronto to Reach CDL Major 2 Championship Sunday
With an amazing 3-0 victory over the Toronto Ultra today, the Los Angeles Thieves punched their way to Championship Sunday at the Call of Duty League's Boston Major. Since losing to OpTic Texas in the tournament's opening match in the first round of the winners bracket, Los Angeles has won three straight series 3-0. With the win, they advance to Sunday and come a step closer to the elimination finals. And the Thieves' top stars shone brightest in one of their most crucial games of the season. https://twitter.com/CODLeague/status/1622008602356760576 In the series’ first map, Mercado Hardpoint, Octane and his Los Angeles teammates started off hot. The veteran earned full streaks right off the bat, and his 31-13 performance was a major catalyst in the 250-165 victory that was never that close. The team’s other AR player, Drazah, impressed as well with a 17-14 statline in the Hardpoint. In the Hotel Search and Destroy, Drazah and Octane were once again massive for the side of Los Angeles. The AR duo combined for 18 kills in the Thieves’ 6-2 victory. Drazah put up a 12-2 statline on his own, dominating Toronto throughout the map. Search and Destroy was a focal point for the Thieves after their loss to OpTic earlier this weekend, and it has clearly paid off. “Last three series have been 3-0s, so it’s been pretty nice. You can’t ask for anything better than that,” Envoy told Dot Esports after the match. “I think I’m going to attribute all that to our game two, our searches. I think when it comes down to a tighter series, to a game five, I think if we keep those searches going, we’re going to still bring the ice.” The series stayed at Hotel, this time for the third map on Control. But no matter the game type, Los Angeles has been rolling every team they have faced lately—and this game three was no different. The Thieves rode a huge performance from their star SMG player, Envoy, to a 3-1 victory. He posted a 1.48 K/D in the map and attributed Los Angeles’ dominant run on their regained confidence. “When we play with confidence, you can see it in our gameplay and you can see it in the results,” Envoy said. “I’m expecting a big fight from everyone, everytime. I mean, all the teams this year, as the years go on in the CDL get better and better so I expect a fight. But the way we keep playing, hopefully it’s not.” “Our SnD is looking a little better but I feel like it wasn’t really the game mode or map type,” the other half of L.A.’s sub duo, Kenny, echoed. “I think it was just a confidence issue for us.” There clearly isn’t a confidence issue within the Thieves’ organization at the moment, and the team is looking to get back to their winning ways for the first time during the Modern Warfare 2 season. The defending CDL world champions will play the winner of the Boston Breach vs. Texas match with a spot in the elimination bracket finals on the line tomorrow at 2pm CT. Read the full article

Fiction Rating Key Here
"NR" = "Not Rated"
Authors' given ratings usually trusted, but "general audiences" and "K" or "K+" are increased to "FRT" because of original BtVS/AtS series' ratings. Occasional stronger ratings given when chance glances show they're needed. The "F-bomb" requires FRMA, no matter how it's used. Graphic depictions of human-on-human violence and/or child sexual abuse deferred to next day's editor for private life reasons. Thanks for understanding. :-)
