Mindy's life was rather atypical of most girls from her town, mainly as she was more like the boys. At a young age, and even into her teens, she had been tinkering with machines at any opportunity. She initially went on to be an auto mechanical teacher at her local high school before a mysterious crystalline asteroid crash landed in her area. As she went to investigate the incident with her fellow friend Millie, she had found a massive cache of power crystals, and strange beings offering their resources to the two of them. The exposure to the crystalline materials increased her IQ greatly, her strength mildly, and caused her hair color to change to a metallic blue. With the co-operation of her new partner in science, she studied the alien technology, and had reverse engineered the graviton generators and crystalline reactors to allow for much more efficient consumption of power. She became business partners with Millie when she started her private aerospace company, called Valkyrie Star Aerospace Committee. She became head mechanic and ship designer of VSAC shortly afterwards, whilst also being one of the founders. When the Second Korean Uprising had begun, she and Millie offered their support with the Gamma class space fighters to defend ANSO satellites from North Korean missile strikes. In a bold move, when a missile with a green energy crystal warhead was about to strike the allied stronghold, Mindy flew down and tried to shoot down the missile. This resulted in the missile detonating well before it reached its target, causing her star fighter to crash land in the middle of the radiation zone. This prompted a small team of operatives to find her, and bring her to safety. After the war had ended, she returned to finish her work on the Alpha class star cruiser. Currently, she spends a majority of her time on the Sandalphon Alpha class cruiser, performing regular maintenance on a monthly basis. Sprites by Gonzo233, Foxx and myself.

If anyone’s still here, I have this sheet of Smash Bros styled alt costumes for some of my characters.

Mr. Morris: The main star of the show, being present since the S64 era, and changing over the years to reflect my interests. He is associated with the M6D Pistol, M7 Caseless SMG, and H&K MP5. 1: Since blue is my favorite color, I thought it'd be appropriate to have it as his default outfit color. 2: He wears the colors of his national flag, complete with maple leaf. 3: He wears his outfit with a CADPAT camo pattern, used by the Canadian Army. 4: His outfit is a tan color, based on flat desert camo. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: His armor is gold plated, which is an idea I have for a side-scrolling platformer which he will be playable. 7: Based on an outfit he had during the Gaia Online Prom. 8: Based on a winter themed outfit he has from Gaia Online.

Vanessa: She's been around from at least, as far as I'm concerned, the Era of the 7 Power Stones, with origins stemming from some MTV Cribs style show. 1: The colors and outfit I imagined that she would wear by default. 2: Borrows some colors from Usagi Tsukino. 3: Borrows some colors from Ami Mizuno. 4: Borrows some colors from Rei Hino. 5: Borrows some colors from Makoto Kino. 6: Borrows some colors from Minako Aino. 7: Borrows some colors from Queen Serenity. 8: She wears a Mario-esque outfit originally designated to Mr. Morris. The hat has a V in the white circle.

Mikey: He hit the scene during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the M19 SSM Rocket Launcher. 1: A color often seen on Chevrolet Corvettes, his favorite car. Also based on the maroon armor color from Halo Multiplayer. 2: A color swap with Mark, and also based around the orange armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Grif from RvB. 3: An olive green color associated with Spartan 117. 4: Based around the cobalt armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Church from RvB. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: He wears an outfit similar to Eric Cartman from South Park. 7: He wears an outfit similar to Kyle Broflovski from South Park. 8: He wears the colors of the US Flag.

Mark: He debut during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the MA5B Assault Rifle, and was once called Stinker. 1: A color sometimes seen on Dodge Challengers, one of his favorite cars. Also based on Halo's orange color in Multiplayer. 2: A color swap with Mikey, and also based around the maroon armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Simmons from RvB 3: Based on the Blue Team color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Caboose from RvB. 4: Based on the Teal armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Tucker from RvB. 5: His armor is on full display. 6: He wears pants similar to Patrick Star from Spongebob, with a matching pink shirt. 7: He wears an outfit similar to Stan Marsh from South Park. 8: He wears the colors of the US Flag.

Reiner: He was added to the cast during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the M90 Shotgun, and later became a medic thanks to Team Fortress 2. 1: His color is based on scrubs worn by surgeons. 2: His color is based on scrubs worn by doctors. 3: His color is based on scrubs worn by nurses. 4: He wears a lab coat with pants that are the same color as the Medic's pants from TF2. 5: Based on the "Unlicensed Doctor" alt costume for Dr. Mario in Super Smash Bros. 6: His armor is on full display, with a lighter color to indicate his role. 7: Based on the purple armor color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Doc from RvB. 8: An army-style uniform, with ribbons arranged to look like the German flag.

Joe: The big man who joined during the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era. He is associated with the SRS99C-S2 AM Sniper Rifle. 1: No real basis, aside from the common color associated with the Wild West. 2: Based on the Red Team color from Halo Multiplayer, associated with Sarge from RvB. 3: Based on the flat Navy camo from Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. 4: Based somewhat on outfits worn by UNSC troops from Halo 2. 5: Based on Wild West outlaws, which was his initial base design. 6: Based on a tuxedo seen during weddings. 7: He wears the colors of the US Flag, mainly on his hat. 8: Based on Waluigi from the Mario universe.

Chihiro: A character who became the focus of the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era during the tail end of 2004. She was once associated with the Covenant Energy Sword. 1: She wears colors based on her initial sprite design, but with a refreshed outfit. 2: Wears an outfit based on a commission by StarPyrate. 3: Wears an outfit based on a commission by Geekbot. 4: Wears an outfit based on a commission by Magikarpdoodles. 5: Wears an outfit based on a commission by Danica Brine. 6: Wears an outfit based on a commission by Kinda W. 7: Wears an outfit based on a commission by EmiMac3D. 8: Based on a gym uniform worn in Japanese high schools, which was her most common outfit.

Kaori/Karin: She hopped on the bandwaggon of the Azu Theft Halo: The Homestar Park era, and might just be the most litigious character here. 1: Her current design, which is also seen in a commission by wyrmskin. 2: Based on a gym uniform worn in Japanese high schools, one of her common outfits. 3: Based on an outfit during a summer break episode from Azumanga. 4: Based on an outfit during a new years episode from Azumanga. 5: Based on an outfit during a field trip episode from Azumanga, but with a red shirt to keep with the team colors theme. 6: Based on her pajamas from the same new years episode. 7: Based on a design made by @geibuchan based on a dream he had. 8: Based on her initial outfit before the rework and restructure of the universe.

Super Smash Buddies Ultimate, before Tumblr shits its pants on the 17th.

Kotone's childhood was a bit spotty, but for the most part wasn't too traumatizing. She spent some of her spare time experimenting with fire, usually in a safe environment, when not being watched by her parents. This included lighting her flatulence, and making makeshift flamethrowers. It wasn't until a recent camping trip where her parents had caught on to her flaming obsession from neighboring campers. Throughout the rest of her childhood, her parents reminded her that playing with fire would result in bedwetting. This didn't dissuade her much until her teen years, when she claimed that she had wet her bed during the middle of one night. Upon discovery, however, it turned out to be something much stickier than her parents expected, as it turned out their daughter a wet dream. Since then, she had been shunned by her parents until her college years, where she studied engineering, though she still played around with fire in safe areas, getting off to it in the process. When the Second Korean Uprising had started, she was drafted into the Military Juggernaut program to her skills with machinery, however all she ended up doing was creating small scale flamethrowers for her weapons and modifying her armor for flamethrower usage. During combat, she would frequently get into close quarters and engulf enemy forces with flames. When off the field, she would light blue angels during the night, much to the annoyance of one other operative during one instance. In August of 2010, she passed out in the middle of a forest area in the mid-north, and several operatives of Foxtrot team, and one from Sierra team, namely Sierra 169, were sent in to rescue her. She was found in the middle of a charred field, with her armor intact, miraculously. When she came to, she almost immediately started feeling up the tag-along Sierra team operative, before being asked to stop. Even after her continuous fiery antics, she was promoted to Corporal after the war. She has been stationed in Detroit to quell the criminal activity in the area. It has been discovered that she also has a thing for flatulence, which has yet to be explained. Sprites by Gonzo233, FRAG, Foxx and myself. Also, despite what art pieces may depict, she does not have fire magic.

A better, more positive Tumblr

Since its founding in 2007, Tumblr has always been a place for wide open, creative self-expression at the heart of community and culture. To borrow from our founder David Karp, we’re proud to have inspired a generation of artists, writers, creators, curators, and crusaders to redefine our culture and to help empower individuality.

Over the past several months, and inspired by our storied past, we’ve given serious thought to who we want to be to our community moving forward and have been hard at work laying the foundation for a better Tumblr. We’ve realized that in order to continue to fulfill our promise and place in culture, especially as it evolves, we must change. Some of that change began with fostering more constructive dialogue among our community members. Today, we’re taking another step by no longer allowing adult content, including explicit sexual content and nudity (with some exceptions).  

Let’s first be unequivocal about something that should not be confused with today’s policy change: posting anything that is harmful to minors, including child pornography, is abhorrent and has no place in our community. We’ve always had and always will have a zero tolerance policy for this type of content. To this end, we continuously invest in the enforcement of this policy, including industry-standard machine monitoring, a growing team of human moderators, and user tools that make it easy to report abuse. We also closely partner with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Watch Foundation, two invaluable organizations at the forefront of protecting our children from abuse, and through these partnerships we report violations of this policy to law enforcement authorities. We can never prevent all bad actors from attempting to abuse our platform, but we make it our highest priority to keep the community as safe as possible.

So what is changing?

Posts that contain adult content will no longer be allowed on Tumblr, and we’ve updated our Community Guidelines to reflect this policy change. We recognize Tumblr is also a place to speak freely about topics like art, sex positivity, your relationships, your sexuality, and your personal journey. We want to make sure that we continue to foster this type of diversity of expression in the community, so our new policy strives to strike a balance.

Why are we doing this?

It is our continued, humble aspiration that Tumblr be a safe place for creative expression, self-discovery, and a deep sense of community. As Tumblr continues to grow and evolve, and our understanding of our impact on our world becomes clearer, we have a responsibility to consider that impact across different age groups, demographics, cultures, and mindsets. We spent considerable time weighing the pros and cons of expression in the community that includes adult content. In doing so, it became clear that without this content we have the opportunity to create a place where more people feel comfortable expressing themselves.

Bottom line: There are no shortage of sites on the internet that feature adult content. We will leave it to them and focus our efforts on creating the most welcoming environment possible for our community.

So what’s next?

Starting December 17, 2018, we will begin enforcing this new policy. Community members with content that is no longer permitted on Tumblr will get a heads up from us in advance and steps they can take to appeal or preserve their content outside the community if they so choose. All changes won’t happen overnight as something of this complexity takes time.

Another thing, filtering this type of content versus say, a political protest with nudity or the statue of David, is not simple at scale. We’re relying on automated tools to identify adult content and humans to help train and keep our systems in check. We know there will be mistakes, but we’ve done our best to create and enforce a policy that acknowledges the breadth of expression we see in the community.

Most importantly, we’re going to be as transparent as possible with you about the decisions we’re making and resources available to you, including more detailed information, product enhancements, and more content moderators to interface directly with the community and content.

Like you, we love Tumblr and what it’s come to mean for millions of people around the world. Our actions are out of love and hope for our community. We won’t always get this right, especially in the beginning, but we are determined to make your experience a positive one.
