I honestly thought I posted about this drama awhile back so I swept through the archive to see if I did and couldn’t find it so I rewatched it again and like somewhat the second go around, although I did fast forward through a lot. The storyline is a little bit different then the classic cliche time travel historical romance stories which the first go around was very refreshing. Both main leads have excellent chemistry together which makes the drama all that more enticing but unfortunately it does have that bit of unfortunate filler dragging episodes. The series for me had too many episodes and definitely should’ve been cut down a bit. Then it would’ve been a very highly watchable drama throughout. It’s still very entertaining and at least deserves to be watch once if you a fan of historical romances.

watching the Thai version of when a snail falls in love, and while it has its pitfalls, i do like it. i’ve made it to episode 19, so clearly i enjoy it. HOWEVER, i have been having a recurring Thought since the last 2 episodes.

please let Vita get some goddamn therapy.

please let ALL of the PIT get therapy, but especially Vita. she was SOLD like an OBJECT when her investigation went sideways and then she found out that a colleague she respected was there and WATCHED IT HAPPEN. I haven’t finished the drama yet, so there’s more for me to discover, i realize, but again, Vita was sold in a sex trafficking auction and she discovered her colleague watched it happen. And then said colleague dies and there are suspicions about the colleague coming up and while everyone around her is grieving his death and also taken aback by the allegations at said colleague now coming out, Vita is grieving his death, angry, and hella freaking TRAUMATIZED. And then her police captain/boyfriend snaps at her (while grieving, but that’s not enough of a pass, Prach) that she’s grieving wrong.

it is absolutely possible for vita to be grieving AND angry. she’s allowed and entitled to her complex feelings and i’m so mad that she’s being told she’s wrong for it.

anyway, i know seeing healing happen is out of the question at this point in the drama. everything will be swept under the rug and vita will somehow magically go on like everything is okay and no proper apology will be given to her the way she fucking DESERVES, but i needed to rant that out.

the prized heir of house rogare, the shining sun that promised that light would remain shining upon the family's future, was not always viewed as such. too gentle, his father once called him as if that was the worst thing a person could be. and perhaps he was. klahan preferred sitting in the rogare gardens with his head buried in a book than sword fighting or hunting. his father gifted him a hawk for one of his name days in hopes it'd inspire an interest in hawking, and eventually it was a hobby klahan grew to enjoy, but initially he was more focused on raising and training the bird as a pet. he might have been pushed to the side, especially as house rogare welcomed more children, but his mind saved him from such a fate. the first signs of his intellect was the speed at which he learned to read; then came how quickly he could memorize passages in books, reciting them word for word with ease; and finally, one time at a gathering he, going unnoticed, observed and recounted a conversation between two scheming against the rogares to his father, which enabled the threat to be stopped before any harm could be done.

his worth proven, he became his father's shadow. the son nearly shunned now treated like a prince in all but name. lessons were quickly absorbed, even passing remarks remembered with vivid clarity, and excellence not a choice but a requirement. expectations never ceased, every error was met with harsh reprimands, a reminder that failure was unforgivable. klahan rose to meet them, but unlike icarus, he'd built his wings out of a sturdy material and flew without fear of a fall. much to his father's delight, time and experience crushed the gentleness that once existed within klahan. ruthlessness found a home where it'd once been. the more involved he became with the family's business, the more morality waned too.

an desire to excel in all aspects of life was what led klahan to pick up a sword and join hunts despite a quiet disinterest. weapons of steel were too obvious, and the pain they dealt too fleeting in comparison to the damage meticulously targeted secrets could do. but drako rogare wanted a warrior too so his son played the part. until the day a god decreed the rogare could not have it all. his horse spooked on a hunt and the fall left klahan with a injured leg that would never fully heal. a warrior he would never be but his mind, forever his greatest weapon, remained untouched.

the accident didn't alter his place as the rogare's golden heir, not when klahan adapted and continued to excell. the quiet man in the corner, listening as his father commanded the room, might be overlooked by some but rather than raise his voice, he allowed the misconception to linger for it enabled him to gather more information, safeguarding the family and the business against any who dared wishing it harm.

klahan was unprepared for his father's death. one day he was there and the next he wasn't. however, no one save those who knew the man would have noticed due to how quickly he worked to establish his control, a necessity when his uncle was circling them like a shark. the control of the bank ending up in his hands was a knife twisting in klahan's flesh. but after the initial waves of anger washed over him, determination took up residence. clashes were inevitable, seemingly polite exchanged undermined by palpable tension, waiting to explode. for now it remained contained as klahan waited for ideal time to take back full control.

headcanons.

while not a common known fact outside of the rogare family, klahan has as a near genius level intellect and his memory is second to none. he isn't someone to forget a face or an offhand comment, though he will occasionally act like he has. in his eyes, there is no point boasting about one's intelligence or memory because then people will know they must try countering it when plotting their schemes. he far prefers being falsely underestimated.

very observant. rarely is he not paying attention to his surroundings, particularly listening to conversations, even when he looks like he isn't.

he still has a slight limp from his accident. it no longer causes him much pain unless he has to sit still or stand for long periods of time. because of that he does carry a cane but how much he uses it depends on how his leg is feeling. he also doesn't horseback ride or go on hunts, though he will join the hunting party at the camp.

he greatly enjoys strategy games. it lets him see how possible opponents think. his favorite game is cyvasse, of which he is considered a master at, even beating his father on occasion.

a man of many faces, klahan can either come across as realistic and remote or charming and confident, but he is careful to never show the true darkness, greed, and ruthlessness lingering in his soul.

Santi: "The title 'Peacemaker' is both a compliment and a burden. Peace is not just the absence of conflict but the presence of justice and opportunity. It’s no secret that New Jakarta faces many challenges, from economic disparities to social unrest. But these challenges also present opportunities for growth and innovation. My job is to navigate these complexities and find solutions that benefit the city as a whole. Sometimes, that means making difficult decisions that aren't immediately popular, but I always have the long-term prosperity of New Jakarta in mind."

daemon was born of the same moon as his "twin" sister, violet eyed and dark of hair. whatever name was before was long forgotten if he had one at all as he was adopted by the king of the seven kingdoms and came to be known as a daemon targaryen, twin dragon to his sister daella.

when the dragon eggs were placed in their crib, no one could know which would hatch first. the one his sister's head hatched first quite quickly while daemon's took far longer, more than a month later till his own hatched. while his sister's was silver, his would be gold, opposite colors that would go on to match each of them and their dispositions as they would grow older.

the two of them grew up close during their childhood, near inseparable many would claim. there was much they did not share, lessons they attended together, playing together, and taking care of their dragons. their youth was a happy one from what he remembers and for the longest time there was little to no strife between them.

as he grew older and bigger, so did his dragon. a beautiful golden scaled male dragon with pink membranes of his wings. when the sun shines upon his scales he is nearly blinding and his eyes are the deepest of amber that leaves anyone stood in place when looked upon. the two have been nigh inseparable since they grew up alongside each other.

daemon would name his dragon sunfyre and once he was finally big enough, daemon was thrilled to ride him up and into the skies. he held no fear or apprehension of being in the sky and trusted sunfyre completely to keep him safe in his seat. the sky is likened to a second home to daemon and he would ride sunfyre as much as he could before duty would come to take charge of his days.

when daella was named heir when they turned fifteen years old, daemon did not feel betrayal or upset at this proclamation. at that point he thought what better person than his sister to one day rule the throne that their father sits on. but never ever stays the same and time and distance would change things.

daemon himself is not exactly certain when things started to change, when his heart steered from his sister and towards his own self and ambitions. perhaps it was the whisperings of those who did not support his sister's claim despite being named the heir. he was not strong enough to push them from his head as he grew older, as the two whom had once been as thick as thieves grew very more distant.

the distance would grow ever more when they became adults, when daemon eventually married the ruling lady of house greyjoy. a marriage that would take him far from king's landing and far from dragonstone and his twin. it would only further the whispers and the ambition that would tell daemon that he should vie for the throne, that he had just as much claim as his sister.

daemon is cunning and charismatic, something of silver tongue backed up by the innate skills in swordsmanship that he has. there isn't much of anything that scares him and he is quite fearless in his pursuits. the years have seen him to try his hardest to step out of the shadow of being the spare to the heir, wishing to be known for his own merits and deeds and potential. all of which he believes makes him fit for the iron throne.
