i have this hc that bill runs to richie whenever he gets into a fight with his parents (which is often). bill runs to richie because richie makes him laugh and richie radiates warmth and love and is the human embodiment of sunshine. yes, richie drives bill up the wall, but he loves him so much, he can't stay away from him. no one makes him laugh like richie, no one makes him feel loved like richie, and no one feels like home like richie.
