On Thursday, at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel were killed in a terrorist attack in Pulwama district. A lot of Bollywood celebrities and cricketers had taken to their social media pages to offer condolences to the martyrs. Salman Khan had shared on Thursday, "My heart goes out for the Jawans of our beloved country and their families who lost their lives as martyrs to save our families... #YouStandForIndia." The superstar also contributed to the families of the martyrs through his foundation. Minister of State for Home Affairs, Kiren Rijijutook to his Twitter page to thank Salman Khan for the contribution.

Salman Khan is known to always come forward and help the ones in need when required. His Being Human foundation was mainly established with the aim of satisfying the basic and educational needs of children across the country. During the Kerala flood last year, he reportedly donated Rs 12 crore for the victims.
