it's been bad for a while, and I knew it, and I knew it was worse if I let myself have time to think, so I tried to give myself as many things to do as I could. if I'm rushing, I can't think. but there's always little breaks, and I can never fill up all of my thoughts. besides that, there's always little moments where I get distracted by seeing something, or I'll look out the window and I feel like I'm in the castle again even though I can see the stars. like it's just an image placed outside of my window to trick me into feeling safe, and behind it will be the white walls and pillars and . this feeling is newer, and I hate it ialways feel trapped and sick and its betteroutside butif i think ab I've been missing N too. we've lived together for such a long time. I raised him for 14 years and now he's gone, and everything has changed, and the only thing that's stayed the same is concordia. and even then, she's doing so much better than me. she's working well and she knows what she wants, and she decorated and picked up new things, and I don't know what I want. she always talked about her dreams and about what she'd do when she got out of the castle, but I thought that my whole life would be in there. I never thought that we would leave. I never imagined what I'd do and now I'm out here and we're free and I'm stuck and bad and have nightmares and feel like im back in thereannd just lean on concoria for help and . I feel like I'm back in the castle, and it doesn't help when there are still people who act towards me like they did when I was goddess and even when I said not to call me that it doesn't matter because it's the way they look at me like i'm something greatersomething holy something too perfect for them to even touch. I'm not a goddess I'm just a person I'm barely even that and I'm certainly not holy they don't know that I'm a terrible person they don't know how much Ive lied they don't know how much I've lied to them to N to concordia to everyone. I got one thing from him and it was the ability to lie with a smile. I had a nightmare last night and I don't know what happened in it but I knew I woke up scared and my head felt fuzzy and I think I may have held rotom too hard because she went to go float with munna and I feel bad I feel sick I . sorry. yesterday I said I wanted N back but felt selfish for it, and its because I feel like I'm still in the castle and I don't wan to bring him back here. I can't. he doesn't deserve that . I wonder where he is

I'm feeling clearer than I was earlier so I'm going to write out what's been going on recently, but please don't worry about it

Sabinal River, Texas

Because of its outstanding recreation, environmental, wildlife, and aquatic life values, Sabinal River was included in the Nationwide Rivers Inventory, for its regional significance. Traversing flat to rolling terrain, and running underground in some regions, it begins and rises in the steep and narrow limestone canyons of Lost Maples State Natural Area northwest of San Antonio, where it is fed by three streams and creeks.

This was a part of the river that runs through Lost Maples State Natural area in Vanderpool, Texas. This place is good for hiking; you can follow the river through good trails, or detour to the hills up to the scenic overlook, where the view from the top is so worth it!

Hard to believe I made this image a year ago today. So much has changed since then, both for the better and the worse. @kristenwilkinsonphoyography and I drove up to Acadia with the intent of capturing the Milky Way over Otter Cliff- which we did later that evening, but we arrived in plenty of time for sunset so we decided to visit Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse. We could not have asked for better conditions. The tide was rolling in and it was windy, giving the waves some extra power. Clouds were moving through the area as well giving us a great sky to work with. I made my way down the rocks, as there are only a few places to stand to get the lighthouse in the shot, and then I waited for the waves to come. I timed this one just right as the sun illuminated the splash. I've shot this lighthouse many times but this is hands down my favorite shot of it. I'll be heading back to Acadia in June for a few days. I finally stopped shedding!

This must mean summer is coming to a close, and I can take longer walks outside. Mom is excited because National Public Lands Day is right around the corner. It’s the perfect time of year to get outdoors, wag your tail, and give back to the public lands you use year round.

We’ll be celebrating National Public Lands Day with our Clean Up and Cool Down event at Lake Houston Wilderness Park. Mom said there are some invasive plant species that need to be removed, and trash in the waterways to clean up. If you’d like to help her out, you can sign up here to join us on Saturday, September 28th at 9am. You’ll even get a snow cone for helping out, thanks to our friends at Kona Ice. I suggested a beef flavored snow cone, but I guess they don’t make them yet? Anyway, I hope you humans will help give back to the lands that provide so much for us every day.

Sharing another from my visit last week to Acadia. This was taken just down the trail from my previous shot. I was taken in by the light on the cliffs and the deep color in the water and worked quickly to grab this shot. Acadia felt like a nice capstone on the winter shooting season, I’m very ready for it to be spring and to begin the next few months which are shaping up to be very busy.
