The way I pick my favorite characters is lowkey wild because it's almost instinctive, literally not a single thought in my head when I start watching or read something new, just pure openmindedness and then someone will pop up, and my brain will automatically just jump to "Oh. I pick you. You're my favorite now, and if you die, I'm out. I choose you, you're my number one now."

Like it's insane because sometimes I'll find a character that even I get annoyed by and frustrated by, and my brain will just stick to them. Sometimes they're just side characters I don't get to see every episode, and I huff and puff until they come up on screen, and then I'm oddly happy. I've literally had characters that get my eye twitching, but because of the annoyance and rage they cause, I'll end up focusing on the fact that they could be better and that they deserve better, and go straight to fanfiction to hopefully find stories about them with more character development.

Like they're either really great characters that I fully support or characters that I can't stand because of how annoyed I get with their canon selves, and yet, I remain dedicated. Also, weirdly enough, it's rare for my mind to pick a guy. It's usually always women, which ideky as well.
