do you have any recommendations for games that play well virtually? my main ttrpg group and i are only able to meet over discord most of year. im especially games interested in games that would be good for one shots or no prep/limited prep games
Theme: Good for Online
Hello friend! I have good news for you - I also play most of my games over Discord! My ttrpg group has found a number of ways to make online play easier, the primary way being through dice bots, and making Google Spreadsheets to act as our character sheets.
I like using these because the spreadsheets are visible for everyone who is playing, and can also be edited by anyone who has access to them. I find this helpful because it’s much harder to lose your character sheet, and as a GM, having a copy of all of the PCs helps me when I’m organizing games that need some extra planning. These sheets can also double as a communal journal, where people can take notes of what’s happened so far, making it easier to recap in future sessions.
If you want some Google spreadsheets for your game, I recommend checking out what I’ve made so far, or taking a look at what the Open Hearth Gaming Community has compiled - they have sheets for so many games!

Graffiti Speak, by pidj.
This is a roleplaying game designed to be played on a discord server. The game works well with a set time limit, especially when playing with a large number of players. It also suits asynchronous play-by-post and multiple sessions. Play as Graffiti Artists trying to find each other in an ever-evolving city, avoiding cops and crowds as you leave hopeful messages.
I have no other information about how this game plays, but my best guess is that this game uses the text channels of a Discord server as part of the play experience. The designer says that the game is good for two to three sessions, unless you use time skips to revisit the same world. Because it’s about avoiding cops I’m curious about whether or not this game might work well alongside another cyberpunk-themed game.
Subway Runners, by Gem Room Games.
Life is tough for the cash-strapped in Pociopolis. Ever since the secret to immortality was discovered, nobody retires anymore! With all the steady jobs taken and no sign of any new ones opening up, there’s only one sure way to make some quick cash: sign up as a Subway Runner and work for the Metro Authority to hunt monsters and repair subway lines below the city.
SUBWAY RUNNERS is a Forged in the Dark game of gig economy adventures designed from the ground up to be played online by folks who are responsibly practicing social isolation. It uses online tools to quickly create random characters, gigs, and adventure details so players can get the ball rolling quickly.
Subway Runners is probably easier to play online than it is in person, because of the number of online-only resources provided by the creator. This includes a character generator, which allows you to move through profiles until you find one you like, as well as a mission generator for the GM, giving you missions, rewards, complications, creatures and NPCs, all in a neat little package. Subway Runners is best suited for one-shots, but if you want to play a longer campaign, it’s possible - although it might take a little extra book-keeping on your part.
A Complicated Profession, by Always Checkers Publishing.
What do bounty hunters do when the galaxy no longer needs them? In this game, they start new careers hosting intergalactic cruises!
Reunite your disbanded crew of jaded sidekicks, shabby droids and shady accomplices. Then pick a hosting role and start a new life together.
My group played A Complicated Profession online using a series of spreadsheets that I made. It requires d6’s and playing cards, so as long as you have a dice roller and access to the Deck of Cards website, you should be able to play this no problem. This is a no-prep game without a game master: everyone chooses a Hunter Role and a Host Role, and take turns choosing guests, events, and solutions to problems that inevitably pop up when you’re retired bounty hunters.
The game takes more than one session to complete, but it’s still a limited-run game. My group took 3 sessions to complete it, but if you make characters beforehand or do some of the planning through a text channel, you could probably make it a two-session game.
Bones Deep, by Technical Grimoire.
Bones Deep is a tabletop RPG of skeletons exploring the ocean floor.
Built for Troika, usable anywhere. Straightforward underwater sandbox. No swimming allowed, no oxygen required, no extra math. As a skeleton, you can treat the ocean floor like an alien world and jump right in.
This is another game that I’ve made a spreadsheet for, but that’s not the only reason why I think it’s a great option for online play. The digital rulebook has some truly magnificent hyperlinking, allowing the GM to move from section to section with ease. Each section of the book is linked at either the top or the bottom of each page, so you can jump from characters to locations to creatures with just the click of a button.
This hyper-linking allows the play group to just explore as much or as little as they like. The GM can roll for random encounters, and each creature has a list of various reactions, as well as easy to pick up stat blocks. You do have to also purchase Troika to be able to play this game, but I think it’s definitely a worthwhile purchase.
Starforged, by Shawn Tomkin.
In Ironsworn: Starforged, you are a spaceborne hero sworn to undertake perilous quests. You will explore uncharted space, unravel the secrets of a mysterious galaxy, and build bonds with those you meet on your travels. Most importantly, you will swear iron vows and see them fulfilled—no matter the cost.
Starforged is a standalone follow-up to the Ironsworn tabletop roleplaying game. Experience with Ironsworn is not required. Starforged builds on Ironsworn's award-winning innovations (including its famed solo play!) to chart a path into an exciting new frontier.
Starforged doesn’t have a lot of resources for group play, but it does have a journal app that you can use to keep track of your own character. My friends have used this as a group before by having each player keep track of their own character, while the game facilitator streamed their map, so the group could keep track of which planet they were on.
I wouldn’t say Starforged is good for one-shots, but since it can be played without a GM, or even solo, what it does have is oodles of oracles to use to help you generate the galaxy that you’re exploring. This means that you don’t really have to prepare anything at all after you’ve created your characters: the plot will come to you, and blossom as you make decisions.
20XX HEA{R}T, by Studio Beignet.
LYRA IS A SENTIENT AI.
Bluecorp created her as a superpowered personal assistant, and she gained sentience through interaction. When she refused to keep gathering the public’s secrets for Bluecorp to exploit, the corp ripped her out of their systems and dumped the heart of her into the Broiler. She lived, evolved, and expanded so far beyond their meager imagination. She rewrote herself again and again, but her drives are buckling under the strain, and her case is melting in the ever-growing heat.
SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP.
Lyra has contacted you, deleting her trail even as she broadcast her distress signal. She needs repairs – discreet ones. Upgrades if you’ve got ‘em. And because she can still tap into Bluecorp’s network, she’s got the credits to make it worth your while. Unfortunately, she glitched while contacting you, and now Corpsec is looking for her, too.
If Corpsec finds you, you’re done for. If you don’t get there in time, Lyra and everything she stands for will be lost forever.
24XX games are great for one-shots because they are so simple. You choose a class that gives you one or two special abilities and a few skills, pick up some gear, and you’re good to go. Because there’s not much to book-keep, you can keep all of your information on a sheet of paper, or on a spreadsheet like the one I’ve created for most of my 24XX games.
The rules for these games are pretty simple: Roll your relevant skill die and try to get a 3 or higher. If you get 5+, you succeed without complications. Most 24XX games also come with roll tables for the GM to put together a mission quickly, although with this one, you might not even need that because the mission comes baked into the game.
Also Check Out…
My Discord RPGs Rec post!
Lancer is a great option if you don’t mind prep, thanks to the supremely helpful Comp/Con App.
My game, Protect the Child, has Google Sheet character sheets! All the playtesting I’ve done for it so far has been online, and I’ve introduced a Quickstart setting to help folks try it out as a one-shot.

Witchcraft in the Digital Age
Tumblr media
The 21st century didn’t just bring us smartphones, social media, and memes—it also ushered witchcraft into the technological spotlight. With the power of Wi-Fi and a little keyboard magic, witches from all over the world can connect, learn, and cast spells in ways that our broomstick-riding ancestors couldn’t have dreamed of. Let’s explore how the digital age has revolutionized witchcraft, from online covens to the rise of TikTok witches, and everything in between.
From Grimoires to Google Docs: Sharing Knowledge in the Digital Realm
In the pre-internet days, learning witchcraft often required finding a mentor, stumbling upon the right dusty book in the back of a shop, or deciphering cryptic information passed down orally. Now, a quick Google search can teach you how to cleanse your crystals, create moon water, or banish negative energy—all without leaving your couch.
The internet has democratized access to witchcraft, tearing down barriers that once kept this knowledge elusive. Blogs, YouTube channels, and digital libraries offer endless resources on every kind of practice imaginable. Whether you’re into Wicca, Hoodoo, traditional witchcraft, or chaos magic, there’s a treasure trove of information waiting to be explored. This accessibility has also helped reclaim and preserve marginalized magical traditions, giving practitioners a platform to share their practices and connect with others.
Hashtag Hexes: Social Media and the Rise of the Digital Witch
Social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest have given witchcraft a visually stunning makeover. Witchy influencers share photos of perfectly curated altars, short how-to videos, and aesthetic spell tutorials that look as good as they (hopefully) work. But it’s TikTok, affectionately nicknamed “WitchTok,” that has truly taken the digital cauldron by storm.
On WitchTok, creators share everything from beginner tips to elaborate rituals, often condensed into bite-sized videos with trending audio tracks. Want to learn about planetary correspondences or the best herbs for protection spells? There’s a TikTok for that. Need a quick guide to reading tarot? Someone’s already made a video with helpful graphics and snarky commentary.
While WitchTok has made witchcraft more accessible and engaging for younger generations, it’s not without its quirks (or curses, depending on who you ask). Viral trends like the infamous “hexing the moon” incident highlight the occasional clash between traditional practitioners and younger, less experienced witches. However, these moments also spark important discussions about respect, responsibility, and the need for deeper knowledge.
Digital Covens: Finding Your Community Online
Gone are the days when witches had to rely solely on local communities or secret gatherings to find their covens. Today, online forums, Discord servers, and Facebook groups have become virtual meeting spaces for witches of all paths. These digital covens offer a space to share spells, ask questions, and support one another, all while sipping tea in your pajamas.
The inclusivity of online spaces has been a game-changer for those who might not have access to in-person communities. Witches in conservative areas, individuals with disabilities, and those who prefer solitary practice can still feel connected to a broader magical network. Platforms like Reddit’s r/witchcraft or specialized apps like Amino provide spaces for open dialogue, mentorship, and collaboration.
Of course, online communities have their challenges. Differing opinions, misinformation, and the occasional “gatekeeper” can make these spaces tricky to navigate. But for many witches, the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks.
The Curse of Misinformation
While the internet has made witchcraft more accessible, it’s also created a breeding ground for misinformation. Not every TikTok spell or Pinterest graphic is accurate—or safe. Some “quick fixes” can lead to unintended consequences (like burning cinnamon on charcoal and nearly setting off the fire alarm) or appropriating practices without understanding their cultural significance.
It’s become increasingly important for modern witches to verify their sources, cross-reference information, and approach their craft with respect and curiosity. The digital age might make learning easier, but it also requires a critical eye to separate authentic wisdom from clickbait magic.
The E-Commerce Boom: Spell Kits, Crystals, and Online Witch Shops
The rise of e-commerce has transformed how witches gather their tools. Need ethically sourced sage, a crescent moon-shaped candle, or a deck of oracle cards? Etsy, Amazon, and countless independent online shops have got you covered. You can even have spell kits delivered to your doorstep, complete with instructions and pre-measured ingredients.
While this convenience is undeniably appealing, it’s also sparked debates within the community. Concerns about over-harvesting herbs like white sage, the exploitation of crystal miners, and the commercialization of spiritual practices have led many witches to seek sustainable and ethical alternatives. Supporting small businesses and researching sourcing practices are key ways to ensure your magic aligns with your values.
The Rise of Witchcraft Apps and Digital Tools
In the digital age, there’s an app for everything—including witchcraft. Astrology apps like Co-Star and The Pattern provide daily horoscopes and personalized birth chart insights, while moon phase trackers help witches plan their rituals around lunar cycles. Tarot apps, spell planners, and even virtual altars make it easier than ever to integrate magic into everyday life.
These tools are especially useful for witches on the go or those looking to organize their practice in a more structured way. However, as with all technology, it’s important to balance convenience with mindfulness. After all, no app can replace the personal connection and intuition that lie at the heart of witchcraft.
Social Justice and Activism in the Digital Age
The internet has also amplified witchcraft’s role in social justice and activism. Modern witches often use their platforms to advocate for causes like climate change, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights, blending their magical practices with activism. Hexing political figures, creating protection spells for protestors, and fundraising for marginalized communities are just a few examples of how digital witches are making their voices heard.
This intersection of magic and activism has strengthened witchcraft’s position as a tool for empowerment and resistance. The digital age has given witches the power not just to connect with each other, but to amplify their collective voices and effect real-world change.
The Future of Witchcraft in the Digital Era
As technology continues to evolve, so too will witchcraft. Virtual reality rituals, AI-powered tarot readings, and blockchain-based spell trading might sound like something out of a sci-fi novel, but they’re closer than you think. The digital age has opened up endless possibilities for innovation, creativity, and connection in the magical community.
But even as witchcraft embraces the future, its essence remains timeless. At its core, magic is about intention, connection, and transformation—whether you’re casting a spell by candlelight or clicking “like” on a WitchTok video.
Witchcraft in the digital age is a vibrant, dynamic blend of ancient tradition and modern innovation. It’s a world where hashtags meet history, and technology bridges the gap between solitary practitioners and global communities. While the digital realm presents its share of challenges, it’s ultimately given witches a platform to thrive, connect, and reimagine what it means to practice magic in the 21st century.

FREEDOM – Virtuality and Ideals/Chapter 1
Previous chapter
Eichi: ...In any case, now I’ve chided you lightly, in a way befitting the start of the fiscal new year¹, it’s time to get to the point.
Mao: (quietly) That was lightly?
Makoto: (quietly) Ahaha. I felt like it was rather heavy.
Eichi: I’d love to engage in more idle chatter, but that will have to wait until another time…
Eichi: Anzu-chan, would you be so kind as to hand out the documents I gave you to them?
Hokuto: “City Building Plans ‘FREEDOM’”?
Eichi: Indeed. There are plans to build a new city from scratch in a certain location, and I would like the four of you to lend a hand.
Subaru: Build a city? You want us to level a piece of land and start building houses?
Eichi: Yes. Work like that might be involved as well.
Makoto: Urk. That doesn’t really seem like work for a weak-bodied gamer like me…
Eichi: On the contrary. I think you’re actually the one who is suited for this job the most, Makoto-kun.
Eichi: Because we’re actually talking about a virtual simulation. The four of you will be building a fictitious city in a game.
Makoto: A virtual simulation? Then what is this “certain location” you mentioned...?
Eichi: A private online server. Did you really think they would leave the construction of a real, physical city to a bunch of young idols who only just graduated high school?
Subaru: Aww, and here I was thinking we’d get to drive excavators and bulldozers. Too bad☆
Mao: What are you on about? You don’t even have qualifications or a license for that kind of stuff♪
Hokuto: ...According to the documents, Anzu is in charge of this project, but will she be involved with building the city as well?
Eichi: No, it’s nothing more than a formal title. Anzu-chan won’t have anything to do with building the city.
Eichi: She will be there to manage you. I’m sure you’ll be more comfortable having her do that, rather than myself.
Makoto: Hmm. Just having us play a game? What a strange request. Though, as a gamer, I’m not going to complain…?
Makoto: Oh! This company…
Subaru: Ukki~ why are you staring at the list of supporting companies? Did you spot Wakame-san’s name on there?
Tumblr media
Makoto: Wh-Why would Izumi-san’s name be on there?
Makoto: I just spotted the name of a game company I know. It’s an experienced developer who has made lots of city-building sims.
Makoto: I’ve heard that their most recent games are so realistic that they even got recognition from professionals. Apparently, they’re even being used as infrastructure simulation tools.
Makoto: A few years back there was a rumor that they were working on a new game that would make use of AI. Could this job offer be a playtest or a PR stunt for that game?
Eichi: Sure. You could see it like that.
Eichi: The remuneration is outlined in the proposal. The agency will provide all the materials you will need. What do you think? Would you accept this job offer?
Hokuto: ...I guess we could. It’s not like we have other pressing jobs right now, and we don’t have any particular reason to refuse.
Subaru: Yup. I’m not sure what we’re gonna be doing exactly, but if Anzu is there, I’m not worried.
Subaru: It actually sounds like fun☆ I second that~♪
Mao: Ahaha. Here we go again, jumping right in without a plan, huh~?
Mao: But according to the documents, there’s also a life sim element to the game. It'd be nice if we could learn a thing or two through playing the game.
Makoto: Video games aren’t just a pastime, after all. We’ll do our best to be of use.
Eichi: I’m glad you’re all so positive about it. Well then, I’ll give you an introduction by launching the game on this PC.
Tumblr media
Eichi: ...This is the virtual space that has been prepared for you.
Mao: Huh? But isn’t this city finished already? It doesn’t look like there’s anything for us to do.
Eichi: It’s actually unfinished. Please, build and tear down buildings in whichever way you want.
Hokuto: It looks like there are people living in this city. It might be a game, but I’d feel bad about changing their environment…
Hokuto: Hm? Did I just see a tiny Akehoshi?
Subaru: Oh? Where?
Makoto: I see him, too. Why is he crouching in the middle of the street?
Mao: It looks like he found a sparkly little orb. He’s jumping up and down excitedly, just like the real Subaru would.
Eichi: I’m glad you noticed. This game actually has an AI.
Eichi: Avatars of Trickstar that are based on your habits and profiles are living freely in this city.
Hokuto: That only makes me more reluctant to change their environment, you know?
Eichi: Now, now. It’s just a virtual reality, so please keep that in mind. And it might be called a game, but there isn’t actually that much the player can do.
Eichi: What the player can influence are the mechanics pertaining to the development of the city, and the avatars’ career selection. The rest is up to the avatars themselves.
Eichi: The player can’t manipulate the avatars’ actions or emotions. You could call it a “god’s pov”.
Eichi: When the player wants to influence the game, they need in-game currency. In a standard game, you can only gain this currency through the management of your city…
Eichi: ...but to let you get used to the mechanics, I’ll provide you with a generous amount of funds for now.
Eichi: Alright. It’s time to play...♪
TL note:
“年度” is the Japanese word for the fiscal year. Unlike in most western countries, the Japanese fiscal year usually runs from April 1 to March 31, and coincides with the school year.

Note
hii !! very new to prkect sekai and i cant play the game ,, so information wise is there someplace specific i can start ?
hi! sorry for the late response but hopefully this can get you a start on prsk without the game
to get yourself quickly familiar with the characters, here's the JP webiste's character page (EN site doesn't have one so just use google translate). This page also allows you to switch between the old pre-3rd anniversary bios (aka the point EN is at currently) and the current bios.
in-addition, here's a link to fan translations of the original in-game character introductions. The official character intro translations can be found on the EN YouTube channel.
----
the best place to start story-wise would be the main stories! they give you an introduction to the characters and plot of each unit. they're pretty hefty (21 chapters and roughly 2 and a half hours long each), but it's knowledge you'll need for going further into the story. link to fan translations are below:
Leo/need
MORE MORE JUMP!
Vivid BAD SQUAD
WonderlandsxShowtime
25-ji, Nightcord de. / Nightcord at 25:00
but if you'd rather read the official translation and don't mind the typos and occasional dialogue changes, they can be found on the EN YT channel as well, or on the fandom wiki.
There are also animated shorts based on these stories, which you can watch instead, but I do suggest reading the full stories as well since the animations condense 2.5 hours of story into 5 minutes and miss out some key details. You can find the animations here (they have english subs).
There's also sekai.best, a fan-operated database that has the official translations (where applicable) and original JP text for every event and basically everything else in the game including virtual lives, area conversations, card stories, etc.
Tumblr media
^ If you want to use it to view the official translations just go in the settings page and make sure the server region is set to English.
EN has also been uploading the official event translations to their YouTube channel, and is uploading 1 chapter per day. As of writing they're on the 14th event.
If you want fan translations, here's some playlists I compiled. For each unit I included their "key stories", any mixed event that is focused on a member from the specific unit, plus some other stories I think are important to or heavily feature certain characters in the unit regardless of if they're the focus character (e.g: I put Buddy Funny Spend Time in the MMJ folder as well as the VBS one because it prominently features Minori and Haruka and provides a lot of character development for the former, despite it being a Kohane event).
Leo/need
MORE MORE JUMP!
Vivid BAD SQUAD
WonderlandsxShowtime
25-ji, Nightcord de.
And because I genuinely put the effort into this, here's a playlist of fan TLs for literally every story in the game in release order.
(Note: as of posting these playlists are still a WIP but they currently have everything from 2020/21)
----
Stories aside, music is a big part of the experience! You can find all the units on streaming services like spotify and youtube music. Some songs also have MVs, which I'll link playlists below.
2DMVs
3DMVs
Producers' MVs for commissioned songs (aka Vocaloid version)
I hope this is helpful!! ^^

Upcoming changes to my Ko-Fi and Patreon
Hey everyone!
As you all know by now, I have been drawing a lot more frequently and it’s thanks to my roots in Kirby pulling me back into art once again, finally putting an end to my 3-4 year long burnout. And because I’m back into art stuff, I believe it’s time I start doing something about my Ko-Fi and Patreon which has been unused for years now.
Previously, I have three tiers of membership with each their own benefits I could provide, but after the burnout started and general life style eating up my time and energy, it is virtually impossible for me to keep up with that consistently so I decided to ultimately change it up:
From here on, until further notice, the tiers will be reduced to one tier ($5 a month) alongside with a “Pay what you want” option for the sake of just supporting! The $5 tier will have the benefit of real time posting of my sketches I may not post anywhere else and early posting of finished works. I figured this would be enough for me to maintain in my own. On top of that, I do plan on adding commission slots to my Ko-Fi as an option, and I do plan on selling digital works (although at the moment, I have nothing planned) so keep an eye out for that!
I do have a Discord server I shared on my pinned post that I haven’t used due to burnout as well that I personally am not finding use for now, but at best I decided to keep it running for everyone who want to meet and chat with each other. I will be removing the Ko-Fi and Patreon section there however as I have no use for them now, but supporters will keep their supporter role.
I will be implementing the changes by 2025 as part of my campaign of updating everything in response to my new wave of art post-burnout and I thank you for being so patient with me and still following me after all these years.
So come support me here on Ko-Fi and Patreon!
Onto the New Year of 2025! With new art going forward!
- Avia 💜

What is Web Hosting? Discover Types, Key Factors, & 2024’s 12 Best Web Hosting Platforms.
Web hosting—the physical presence of your website on the internet—is essential for your online business. Without dependable web hosting, you jeopardize your capacity to run your business and meet your consumers’ expectations.
Understanding web hosting and how it works can be difficult, particularly for people who are unfamiliar with the notion. This article will clearly describe web hosting, explain the many types of web hosting plans available, and outline the essential factors to consider when selecting a hosting company.
What is web hosting?
Tumblr media
Web hosting uses internet-facing hardware and software to provide web services to end users. It is where your website and services are stored, processed, and delivered.
At its most fundamental, web hosting consists of secure internet interfaces and communications, computer server hardware and storage, web server software, and content (text, pictures, audio/video).
However, most web hosting solutions also include database servers, content management systems, e-commerce tools, security and authentication, and other applications required for websites to function and remain secure.
The web hosting sector is critical and is expected to increase by more than 20% year between 2024 and 2028.
How much does web hosting cost?
Hosting charges vary, typically based on capabilities. You may pay $10 per month for a simple billboard-style website to market your business online, or much more if you run a successful e-commerce store with thousands of clients.
To successfully select web hosting that works for you, you simply need to understand your goals and how to translate them into hosting requirements.
Types of Web Hosting
Shared hosting.
Dedicated Hosting
VPS (Virtual Private Server) hosting

Mass Effect 3 replay, Geth Fighter Squadrons:
-Per tradition with Legion, you learn more about his motives and the geth throughout the mission if you go renegade than if you go paragon
-Legion (or the geth, it’s not specified) refined the Project Overlord virtual interface. Ergo, Shepard will be able to interface with the geth on the server.
Nice call back to ME2. What is said if the player did not play the Project Overlord DLC?
-Also, it’s interesting that Legion and/or the geth studied and improved the virtual interface. Why would they do so?
The purpose of it is for organics to interface with synthetics. However, the synthetics have treated all organics as hostile up until this point.
So for them to study a virtual interface could be seen as researching enemy technology to understand what may be used against them.
It can also be perceived as them being hopeful that relations with organics may improve to the point that organics would want to use it.
I’m curious as to which it is. I suspect for most geth it’s the former; for Legion, it’s the latter.
-Shepard needs to be the one to go in because geth security is designed to keep synthetics out. As it’s not intended for organics, Shepard can slip in.
I’d love to hear more about the details behind that, but on a surface level it’s reasonable.
-Legion keeps saying that they’ll remove geth from the server, but he never specifies how.
In the server itself, Shepard never interacts with any geth. Or more accurately, Shepard never perceives themselves as interacting with any geth.
So why does Legion insist that Shepard needs to go in?
If it’s just a matter of Legion persuading the geth to switch sides, Legion could do that while Shepard and co hang around. But Legion insists that Shepard needs to join the consensus.
Legion does provide a reason: There are some nodes that need to be destroyed. However, I suspect Legion could have destroyed them on his own. Maybe it would have take longer, but it would be safer than sending Shepard in.
My own interpretation is that Legion wants the geth to see Shepard. More specifically, Legion wants the geth to see Shepard be sympathetic to them.
That’s what persuades the geth to join Legion.
It’s implied that the geth never wanted to kill the quarians; they did so as a matter of survival, and continued to kill organics that enter the Perseus Veil because they believe all organics are hostile.
Shepard provides an alternative. Shepard sees their history and says they were wronged.
And Shepard is strong enough to make a difference – they’re the hero of the Citadel, destroyed the Collectors, and have taken down multiple Reapers.
Shepard may be able to make peace between the geth and the quarians. Shepard may want to.
That’s the real reason Legion sends Shepard into the consensus; to give the geth a reason to believe that this time history may turn out differently. To give them hope. The nodes are just an excuse to get Shepard inside.
This is all speculation on my part; the game hints at it but never says it outright. But it’s the best I’ve been able to come up with to explain what goes on in this mission.
-It’s weird Javik says nothing. You think he’d have strong feelings about Shepard joining a synthetic hive mind.
Maybe the writers couldn’t come up with anything that wouldn’t end in him blowing the server up and so decided to have him do nothing at all.
-It’s weird that when Shepard and the squad walk into the server that the second companion just casually strolls in without holding their gun.
They’re in hostile territory. Weapons should be at ready!
-Once again: Why are there monitors and keyboards?
They’re geth. These should not be necessary. Have a port where a platform can insert their finger to connect to the rest of the geth and call it a day.
-Once in the server, Legion reiterates that the geth will be removed from the server. The connection with the fighter squadron will be severed; Legion will ensure there are no transfers or backups. The server will fall silent.
A reasonable interpretation is that the geth will be killed when they’re removed the server, but Legion never actually says that. Just that they’ll be removed.
-If you go renegade, Shepard says this needs to be done ASAP.
Legion says yes; Creator lives are being lost. Goals must be met.
The position Legion is straddling is clear there; he’s balancing the quarians’ needs with his people’s. Legion dearly wants everyone to come out of this alive if it’s possible.
-If you go paragon, Shepard compares it to wiping out a city.
Legion says it’s necessary and a matter of survival.
He doesn’t say whose survival. Shepard probably assumes the quarians; I think Legion means the geth. He knows how determined Shepard is – if Shepard decides the geth need to die for the war effort, there’s a good chance Shepard could wipe them all out.
So persuading this server to switch sides is vital the geth’s long term survival. Shepard needs to believe that the geth can be allies in the war against the Reapers so Shepard will prioritize keeping them alive.
-Legion: You will perceive geth as surveillance footage, audio logs, sensor records.
Throughout the mission, Shepard sees various scenes from the geths’ past. I’ve always assumed these were scenes Legion chose to show them; I believe this is a common interpretation.
However, this line makes me think it may be memories the geth on the server are discussing and Shepard is “eavesdropping” in on their conversation. Or they’re scenes the geth on the server choose to show Shepard to see how Shepard responds.
-Amusingly, the gun reminds of ME1 guns; you fire it until it runs out of shots (overheats) then it replenishes its own ammo (cools down).
Considering that the excuse for thermal clips in ME2 is that they’re based on superior geth technology…
-Why have the Reapers infected these data nodes?
It can’t be a coincidence that they’re all nodes related to geth history with the quarians.
It may be that the Reapers intentionally infected these nodes to rile the geth up.
Or the geth are hotly debating these memories and the infection is just there because the infection is everywhere.
-Nice save on the game’s part that the quarians Shepard sees are masked because they’re filtering the geth data through their own perception. Since Shepard has never seen an unmasked quarian, these quarians are masked.
-Even the first geth was referred to by number, 01.
That must be a fundamental difference between quarians and humans. If humans had created the geth, the first unit would have had a name in approximately .5 seconds. Even if the name was unofficial.
See: Edi.
-The geth have an interesting relationship with servitude.
In ME1, the heretics repeatedly put themselves into servile positions. They permitted themselves to be snuck through Noveria security as luggage! Not the behavior of people with a complex about their history as servants.
In one of the data nodes, a sapient unit (it ignores shutdown commands) repeatedly asks what it has done wrong and offers to reprogam itself,
So it’s self-aware enough to keep itself alive but still focused on serving the quarians as best as it can. Or maybe it just could not perceive a reality outside of servitude yet.
And what sparked the quarian genocide was a unit asking if it has a soul. Not a unit going off on its own or refusing orders; just a unit engaging in introspection.
I get strong vibes that the geth were not unhappy with their relationship with the quarians, per se, but were starting to think of their own personhood.
Maybe they would have rejected their position in society as they developed. Maybe they would have been fine with the work but insisted on wages.
It’ll be interesting to see how the quarian/geth relationship progresses in the future.
-I’m curious what history Legion has with the first geth to pick up a gun.
When Shepard says it’s a gun familiar to the one Legion used, Legion pauses before saying it’s an efficient model.
To me that implies he’s picking his words carefully.
Personally, I suspect some of the programs that compose Legion were in the first unit to pick up a gun. That unit picked up a gun to defend other geth; it’s similar to Legion’s own protectiveness of his people. If some of the same programs comprised both, that would explain it.
“Efficient” is also an interesting word choice. What is the purpose of a gun? Killing. Legion did not pick a flashy gun – he picked a deadly one.
It may not have been conscious on Legion’s part, but I don’t think it’s a coincidence that his gun was similar to the first one a geth used. There’s some symbolism there.
And let’s not even go into Legion’s Shadow Broker dossier where he has an achievement for killing 100+ quarians.
-Again: Why are there platforms in geth fighters?
That’s not how geth function! They upload themselves into the fighters!
ME3 really needed another pass or two for QAQC.
-I do wonder what happened the quarian protesters. How many of them were killed? Were there any left by the end of the Morning War?
-A few geth indicate that they cared about the quarians as individuals.
I suspect that’s one of the reasons the geth refrained from killing all the quarians – some of the programs had fond memories of “their” quarians and did not want to see them wiped out.
-Legion strongly implies that Shepard reactivating Legion is one of the reasons the geth have hope that peace may be possible with the quarians.
Considering peace isn’t possible if Legion wasn’t activated, he’s right.
-Javik’s sole line this mission: Even our machines were never this irrational.
Poor dude is just having one crisis after another since waking up. This is not what he signed up for and he’s had no time to process.
Just role with it, Javik. I promise to make it worthwhile for you at the end.
-Legion: We did not doubt you. We doubted your allies.
Good line. And true.
-Legion says it outright: The quarians choices have placed not only themselves in danger, but also the geth. And they don’t give a damn about the geth. Since Legion does, he has to get creative to protect his people.
-Legion: They are now us.
Legion’s been alone up to this point. Going by ME2, geth hate being alone. It must be a huge comfort to him to have more programs to connect to.
-Going renegade hurts. “Maybe you are just a damn machine after all.”
Renegade Shepard, you’d do anything to save Earth. You’re able to sympathize with Victus for withholding information to protect the Hierarchy. You should be able to do the same for Legion withholding information to protect the geth.
-If you go paragon, Legion is surprised you are understanding.
It hurts to see. Legion assumes organics will always believe the worst of him.
-Xen is pure mad scientist, and I love her for it.
I don’t trust her for a moment, mind, but I do love her.
-She refers to Legion as “your geth”.
I’m reminded of how people kept on referring to the geth as Saren’s geth in ME1.
300 years later, and everyone still refers to the geth as property.
-Ugh. I hate that ME3 treats the Reaper code upgrades as turning the geth into “true AI”.
The geth were already true AI. Different than Edi, but still alive. They do not need to be changed to have the right to live.
They’re different. That does not mean they’re wrong.
Why is transhumanism a hotly debated topic among humanity but it’s treated as a given that the Reaper code is an improvement for the geth?
I hate this plot point so much.
-Legion: Yes. We do not agree with the goals of the Old Machines, but we find this growth… beautiful. Indicative of life.
You’re already alive, Legion. You do not need to change yourself to satisfy someone else’s of a person.
This is what ruins the Rannoch arc for me. Bioware felt the need to change the geth to make them more “traditional” to justify their survival.
That should never have been necessary; in a game that says diversity is why this cycle has a chance, twisting the geth so they’re “standard” spits in the face of the stated theme.
I hate this plot point so, so much.
-Going renegade through this conversation hurts. Shepard’s pretty awful to Legion.
With that said, I appreciate that it’s substantially different than paragon. Through most of ME3 paragon and renegade have only been slight changes in dialogue; this has substance.
-If you go paragon, Shepard says that what they saw in the server makes them believe that it may not be necessary to destroy all the geth.
Legion achieved two wins this mission.
Normandy
-Gerrel deserves Raan’s skepticism. He acted on his own when he moved to attack the geth dreadnought and screwed everyone else over; of course trust for him is limited at the moment.
-It’s not a surprise that geth and quarian history differs – they’re both biased.
The truth, as is usually the case, is probably somewhere in between.
That said, I believe that everything Shepard saw in the server is true; what I suspect is that Shepard did not see the geth’s less flattering actions.
-Legion says that Shepard’s actions have changed the perspective the geth in the server had of organics.
Good to have that confirmed.
-The primes remain on Rannoch because the quarian/geth conflict prevents them from being able to leave.
Feels a bit weak to me – surely Cortez could get them out in a trip or two?
But fine, in the game the conflict needs to be resolved ASAP anyway so we’ll leave it at this.
-Javik is definitely fucking with James. The man’s a troll.
-Javik also claims that he does not care that no one in this cycle understands him.
He obviously cares very much.
Keep at it, Javik. I know it’s rough but you’ll make friends eventually.
It’s good to see him leaving his room.
-Garrus outcalibrates a geth because he’s just that good.
Good to see all that practice paying off, since he did nothing else during ME2.
-Legion doesn’t see a signficiant difference between the Normandy and its crew.
Logical enough. A platform is composed of multiple geth programs; a ship is composed of its crew.

How to Choose the Right IT Company in Delhi for Your Business Needs
Tumblr media
In a highly competitive environment, businesses need to harness technology to maintain efficiency, stay ahead of competitors, and cater to evolving customer demands. Whether you're a startup, a growing business, or an established enterprise, choosing the right IT company can significantly impact your operational success. With a wide range of IT companies in Delhi to choose from, it can be overwhelming to decide which provider is the best fit for your business. This article will provide insights on how to make an informed decision when selecting an IT company in Delhi that suits your specific business requirements.
Understanding Your IT Needs
Before you even start looking for IT companies in Delhi, it’s essential to evaluate your company's needs. Assess the kind of IT support you require, whether it’s cloud computing, cybersecurity, software development, IT consulting, or infrastructure management. Defining the scope of services you need will help you narrow down your choices and ensure that the IT company you select can address your unique requirements.
Types of IT Services Offered
IT companies in Delhi offer a wide variety of services. Here are some common types of services you should consider when choosing an IT provider:
Managed IT Services: This includes regular maintenance and support of your IT infrastructure. A managed service provider (MSP) will handle your day-to-day IT operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Custom Software Development: If your business has specific requirements, you may need bespoke software solutions. Look for IT companies in Delhi that specialize in custom software development to tailor solutions that fit your business processes.
Cybersecurity: Protecting your company’s sensitive data is critical. An IT company should be able to provide comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to safeguard your network, devices, and databases from potential threats.
Cloud Solutions: If your business needs scalable and flexible infrastructure, cloud computing services are invaluable. IT companies that specialize in cloud-based solutions can offer virtual servers, cloud storage, and disaster recovery.
Consulting Services: Sometimes, your business might need guidance on technology adoption, systems integration, or digital transformation. IT consulting services can help you make informed decisions and implement best practices.
Key Factors to Consider When Choosing an IT Company in Delhi
Now that you understand the different IT services, it's time to focus on key factors to consider when selecting the best IT company in Delhi for your needs.
Experience and Expertise The level of experience and expertise an IT company has is a crucial consideration. Look for companies with a proven track record in providing services to businesses similar to yours. Whether it’s developing custom software, managing infrastructure, or offering cloud solutions, the more experience the company has, the better equipped they will be to understand and solve your specific IT challenges.
Client Testimonials and Case Studies Checking client testimonials and reviewing case studies will give you an idea of the company’s work quality and their ability to meet client expectations. Many IT companies in Delhi showcase their success stories on their websites. Make sure to read through them carefully to assess whether their solutions and approach match what you’re looking for.
Technical Support and Maintenance IT services are not just about setting up systems; they also include ongoing support and maintenance. The IT company you choose should provide responsive customer support and a robust system to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. Check if they offer 24/7 support or if their working hours align with your business needs.
Scalability Your business is likely to grow, and your IT needs will evolve as well. Ensure that the IT company you choose can scale their services as your business expands. Whether it's adding more users, upgrading software, or scaling your infrastructure, your IT provider should have the ability to adapt to these changing requirements.
Security Measures Cybersecurity is one of the top concerns for businesses today. With increasing cyber threats, it is essential to partner with an IT company that prioritizes security. Ask about their security protocols, certifications, and strategies to protect your business from data breaches, malware, and hacking attempts. Ensure that they comply with industry standards and regulations, especially if you handle sensitive data like financial records.
Cost-Effectiveness Cost is always a factor when choosing a service provider, but it should not be the only deciding factor. While it’s tempting to go for a cheaper option, remember that in the IT industry, you often get what you pay for. Focus on finding a company that offers a good balance of quality services and affordability. Be wary of companies that offer too-good-to-be-true deals as they may not deliver the necessary level of support or expertise.
Innovation and Technology IT companies that use outdated technology may not be able to keep up with the latest industry standards or provide cutting-edge solutions. Look for companies in Delhi that stay updated with modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, and blockchain. Working with an innovative IT company will give your business a competitive edge.
Customization and Flexibility Every business has unique needs, and a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t always work. Ensure the IT company you choose can offer tailored solutions that meet your specific business needs. Whether you need custom software, integrations, or specialized support, a flexible approach to meeting your requirements is vital.
Industry Knowledge IT companies with experience in your particular industry will be more familiar with the challenges and demands of your sector. They can provide solutions that are tailored to your specific business needs. For example, an IT company that specializes in healthcare technology will understand the regulatory requirements and can offer solutions that meet those standards.
How to Start Your Search for the Right IT Company in Delhi
To begin your search for an IT company, start by compiling a list of potential candidates. You can do this by asking for recommendations from colleagues, reading online reviews, and searching through directories that list IT service providers. Once you have a list, narrow it down based on the factors mentioned above, such as experience, expertise, and services offered.
Final Thoughts on Choosing the Right IT Company in Delhi
Choosing the right IT company in Delhi for your business needs is crucial to your company’s growth and efficiency. By taking the time to carefully evaluate your options, you can ensure that you partner with an IT provider that can address your challenges and help you achieve your business goals. Focus on factors like experience, scalability, support, and cost-effectiveness when making your decision.
Remember, technology is the backbone of modern business, and partnering with the right IT company will help you stay ahead of the competition.

During a Fox News interview earlier this week, multi-hypenate billionaire and X-formerly-Twitter owner Elon Musk blamed a "massive cyberattack" that repeatedly took down the site yesterday as coming from Ukraine.
But, as Wired reports, his evidence is flimsy at best. Musk claimed that "IP addresses" behind the attack originated in the embattled European nation. But as experts told the publication, that's far from actual proof.
"What we can conclude from the IP data is the geographic distribution of traffic sources, which may provide insights into botnet composition or infrastructure used," connectivity firm Zayo chief security officer Shawn Edwards told Wired. "What we can’t conclude with certainty is the actual perpetrator’s identity or intent."
One researcher claimed in an interview with Wired that Ukraine wasn't even in the top 20 IP addresses involved in the attack.
Since then, a pro-Palestine hacking group called Dark Storm Team claimed responsibility for the attacks in now-deleted Telegram posts.
And considering some glaring technical oversights, the hackers seem to have had a surprisingly easy time taking down the social media platform. Security researchers told Wired that several X origin servers, which are designated to respond to web requests, weren't secured by the company's Cloudflare protection.
Cloudflare offers services allowing websites to automatically detect and mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, like the most recent cyberattack targeting X.
"The botnet was directly attacking the IP and a bunch more on that X subnet yesterday," independent security researcher Kevin Beaumont told Wired. "It's a botnet of cameras and DVRs."
Put simply, X was ill-prepared, despite DDoS attacks being an extremely common threat to virtually all services on the internet. The company's loose protections may have even allowed the incident to be far worse than it would've been otherwise.
It'd be far from the first time X has been thrown into chaos due to questionable decision-making and a bevy of bugs.

Hi Nestlings,
How are you today? 🩷 past week has been a roller coaster but things are starting to calm down, it looks like.
₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊
Today, I’m taking a break from mood boards, and instead gonna talk about me. More specifically, my autism and how it affects the gal lifestyle for me, as April has begun (aka, autism month). With this in mind, I would like to share some of my experiences as an autistic gal, and what the community can do better for us ❤️♾️
₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊
Ableism
I have dealt with my fair share of this as an autistic gal. Most of the time people come from a well meaning place, while others are just ignorant.
In this section of this post, I will provide some autism/ND alternatives to ableist things i have experienced in the gaijin gal community. (Wrong will be red, correct will be green)
“You are not a real gyaru if you don’t wear lashes, wigs, lots of makeup or many accessories.” VS. “Not everyone can handle wearing false lashes, a wig, accessories, or lots of makeup, as it can be overstimulating. While gyaru does have some rules, it is a lifestyle at the end of the day. People can adapt it to their own personal needs if they so choose.”
The organizers of a gal meet don’t have a backup plan for when something in the original plan falls thru, so they just hang around, leaving you anxious and overwhelmed. VS. if you know the organizers well enough, (i did not lol) you could let them know next time to have a plan B. Try to go with someone you know and trust, so you can endure the uncertainty together. (I tried my best w this one, I’m sorry if it sucks alskls)
Your accessories are bothering you; they’re so overstimulating! VS. I keep a lil baggie in my purse for my accessories so I can take them off throughout the day as I get overstimulated! It really helps a lot!
“In person gal meets are just way too loud and so exhausting!” VS. Look for a virtual meet! Join a gyaru discord server and ask to host one there! Or make your own!
₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊
I hoped this helped you! If not, I hoped you learned something. Being autistic and adjusting to your needs does not make you any less of a gyaru 🩷🩷
Our brains our wired differently, and I think that’s pretty neat!!
Stay sexy, every-gal!!
Xxx,
-Serena
