my brother exclusively used navy blue ink pens when I was growing up, and so for a long time I naturally assumed that all blue-ink pens had navy blue ink. that was a very disappointing discovery for me.

tbh... I don't actually want a daith piercing 😞 I just heard from somewhere that it hurts bad so I thought about that in the ask ahejwhwj mb
As for the piercings I actually want, I'm not sure if I could say allat here so I'm just gonna say one of them is in a pretty personal spot 👍 back dermals and snake/angel bites have been on my mind‼️‼️ I also find corset piercings so pretty but I know I won't be able to handle it ajhqjshsj not really a piercing but I think tongue splitting(?) looks really cool ‼️
(Piercer scara.... 🤔)
- peach anon :3 (Is there a starter piercing... 😓 or like a piercing you'd recommend for newbies)
damn back dermals for ur beginner piercing?? but no judgment here, hell i think it will look good . tongue splitting is hella sick though
honestly for starter piercings, i will always recommend ears specifically lobes. the most common piercings & easiest to heal. others make their way up the ear once they feel more comfortable. upper lobes, lower lobes, helix etc etc. i did the same.
but the next best options if you don’t want neither is septrum or maybe nostrils. those i’ve seen most commonly.
honestly, it all depends on your pain tolerance tbh & as long as u have good aftercare with ur piercings. super cool that u are interested in them though . if i didnt have work management down my throat, i would definitely get snakebites

And two tyles of rendering. First with painting style and second has a flat colour base with a mix of overlay layer and some tiny scribbles onto of the overlay layer:

also is it silly that i have a favorite line from that fic and it’s “Even carries the weapons, as they carry the water.” Because it’s an important line, to me, for understanding the relationship between them. They’re wandering out in a desert, and Even’s the one with both a weapon and the water they need to drink. the fic is from Even’s POV, and the first paragraphs are just about how miserable they are right now, how he’s dragging them around out there for seemingly no reason.
but they’re the one who has the water. they’re the one who has a weapon. on a material level, the master is very much fucked if even does decide to turn on him, shoot him in the back, strand him out there when they have the supplies. so how much of this is trust, and how much of it is arrogance?
i’m sorry. not to be a nerd about my own oc story, but the other side to that is just how aware of how much he’s relying on even is the master? yes, they save his life, that one’s obvious. but there are a few other lines where i was trying to show just how deep this thing between them has started to run. Even ducking under his arm so he can hold onto them, and that eventually culminating in him holding on too long and making them both fall. “They lumber the final stretch to the TARDIS like a three-legged beast.” Even says ‘Talk at me’ but that doesn’t actually work; when they let him ramble out his own train of thought, he ends up making himself worse, and it’s only when Even’s an active participant in the conversation that he really begins to calm down while they work (and why, when he’s rude once they start sharing and they shut him out again, he gets hurt again.) “thinking of you………” that’s not even a version of them that knows him, but the other one he contemplates is missy’s even, and. i think when i’m editing this i’ll give that section another pass because im really trying to imply there that obviously he’s uncomfortable about Missy because she’s a version of himself wrapped in this failed attempt at redemption, at getting the thing she wanted so badly, and he’s fresh off of learning she didn’t actually know what the thing she was chasing really was, either. but also that he’s. jealous. of herself. of missy, who still has even, of the fact that he can’t just go in and take that version of even with him because they wouldn’t let him, they would pick missy over him. man’s so messed up about his mary poppins-sona (among. other things.) that he went and staked a claim on a version of Even that doesn’t know he exists instead.
when i say codependency, i mean we’re doing codependency. the man’s fucked, and he doesn’t even know how badly yet.

you went to the london eprix last year right? how did monaco compare?
WELL my faves did better so on that level alone i had a better time :)
anyway - the big downside of both eprix is that the fan village is just... not great. it was slightly bigger in london due to the venue (and the entertainment was better, stan gracey) but in monaco it was just a packed bit of astroturf along the harbour with like, three food stalls, some charging points that did not work, and a small store. at one point between quali & the race they did a q&a with jev that, no joke, i would generously estimate to have lasted about 3 minutes
of course the good thing about monaco is you have basically the entire country to explore instead if you get bored at the fan village, whereas you can't really leave the excel arena once you're in (and the area around it is a big load of nothing anyway). however you do have to be prepared for a LOT of walking on race day because half the country is, well. the track. so there's a lot of detours in place. so getting between my grandstand at tabac and the fan village, which at my fast walking pace was probably a 5-10 min walk the rest of my stay, became a half hour trek. i didn't mind this because i like walking (except stairs as rach will tell you from my incessant moaning all trip) and it killed the time but if you're thinking of ever going to monaco i'd say that is THE thing to be aware of. also a lot of shops around the circuit are closed & the restaurants are all packed with reservations so be prepared to eat at stalls by your grandstand or bring snacks yourself!!
another random thing was at least in my grandstand (K1) i was pretty far from a screen. i could see the action just fine but i had no hope of following the timings or lap count - during quali i got around this by having the live timings up on my phone while watching but when the grandstands filled up for the race my wifi & 4G both tapped out entirely so i just got a lot of fun surprises re: the order every single time the cars came back round hahaha
in terms of the overall experience i'd say i preferred monaco outside of the fan village being worse - the track is obviously so iconic and it's a lot nicer to be in monaco than a convention centre in east london, and i think the racing was a lot more exciting this time round at least - but i had a great time at both and i'm really looking forward to going back to london in the summer :)

Hey, you wouldn't happen to have or know anyone who has made hooved hands, would you?
hooved hands unfortunately aren't really a doable thing, since hands are part of the torso segment and you'd have to replace the entire upper body/they'd revert to regular hands any time your sim is wearing a shirt. I recently made a post explaining the problem.

theforumcat.tumblr.com/post/723468994606186496 . You're from Chicago. The university that sends me the most mail is probably the University of Chicago. Coincidence? I think not! (Also is deep dish pizza in specific gross or is pizza in general gross?)
UChi is an incredible school for just about any discipline, puppers. If you’ve caught their eye you’re doing something right. They’re like what Ivies (at least the big name ivies - the smaller ones do have to maintain more merit) pretend to be. Also they have a pretty rad student life culture - it’s very fun (as in quality, not as in lampshades on the head)
(Pizza in general is gross but deep dish is extra gross)

caught myself thinking "i wish there was a way i could just go somewhere and see how these mice/keyboards feel" during my latest round of scrolling through websites trying to decide on what to buy (currently using the tried-and-true 'mouse and keyboard i got for free from family because they just need to Function') and then realized i had just described a Store. a Physical Location.

Another tip: TRANSLATORS. Whether it be Google Translate, DeepL, or whatever —I use Reverso Context, I find it much more useful than those for this purpose—, one of the best ways to find that word or phrase you can't quite remember right now is to think how it's said in another language and reverse-search it in a translator.
some people think writers are so eloquent and good with words, but the reality is that we can sit there with our fingers on the keyboard going, “what’s the word for non-sunlight lighting? Like, fake lighting?” and for ten minutes, all our brain will supply is “unofficial”, and we know that’s not the right word, but it’s the only word we can come up with…until finally it’s like our face got smashed into a brick wall and we remember the word we want is “artificial”.
